Spain's first Ballon D'Or winner Luis Suárez Miramontes has passed away at the age of 88

"Luis Suarez Miramontes died this Sunday in Milan at the age of 88," Barcelona said in a statement. "Saying goodbye to Luisito leaves us with a deep melancholy -- the nostalgia of his perfect and inimitable football, which inspired generations, is combined with the memory of a unique footballer and a great, great Inter player," wrote Inter in a statement. "From the RFEF we want to convey our condolences to all relatives and close friends of Luis Suarez Miramontes," wrote the Spanish football federation on Twitter.

Rest in peace to legendary Luis Suarez Miramontes, his legacy will always be remembered in Spain and the entire Spanish football federation. Being the first spanish player to win the Ballon D’or makes him a legend and an inspiration to all, he will surely be missed.

Now there is the name Erling Haaland which has been link with Real Madrid after the Kylian Mbappe issue has not received an answer.
I just want to say that these two players is important assets for each club and I'm sure Real Madrid will not get either Haaland or Mbappe this season.
Jude Bellingham has officially join Real Madrid, they will not be too obsess with the two names above Haaland and Mbappe

There is no way  Manchester City are letting Erling Haaland go not at any cost for now. He has proven to be the missing piece in Guardiola’s plans and obviously has paid out as he has helped them secure champions league victory last season and winning treble. Manchester City are a complete team now and they wouldn’t want to trade that for anything any time soon.

Recently I heard that Juventus will negotiate with Romelu Lukaku this decision was taken by Juventus to anticipate if Dusan Vlahovic moved to the Premier League at least 3 clubs are interested in bringing it Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham. On the other hand Inter Milan reportedly increased the offer, lol Inter movement is too slow. Based on the opportunity, Chelsea should be one step ahead because they can do a barter between the two players, of course, on the Chelsea side have to pay more. Market value for Dusan Vlahovic €70 million while Romelu Lukaku €40 million Juventus has the potential to collect €30 million.

Why the Premier League clubs targeting Dusan Vlahovic? from Tottenham reportedly to replace Harry Kane if he moved to Munich while Man United does need a new attacker. So far there has been no confirmation from each party but maybe we will hear something on Monday. My prediction is that Chelsea and Man United have a greater chance.

Romelu Lukaku going for €30 million is a very good deal to me, the striker still has some magic left in him that needs a good atmosphere and the right minds to help trigger it. Hopefully at Juventus he can get that spark again.  Dusan Vlahovic to EPL is a gamble, anything can happen, I can’t tell if he will succeed in England.

I agree that De Gea not continue his career there because United felt like they needed a better goalkeeper. But the shocking part was that he left before they got anyone. I know that they are trying to get Onana, but to keep De Gea would be a card, they could have acted like "either you give us Onana for 50 million, or we keep De Gea for a season or two longer and get Onana for free when his contract is over", and now they can't, they showed their hand.

They literally do not have any starting quality goalkeeper, which Inter knows and they are abusing that by keep getting United to increase their bid for Onana, they ask as much as 60, and there is a reality that they could actually get that money too, United needs to either look for someone else, or pay that 60 to get Onana.

Soon Manchester United will be tagged with the attitude of mistreating of loyal players and such reputation will affect their ability to influence good players to the club in the future, sadly Ronaldo got same treatment David De Gea is getting now and it is not good for a historic club as big as reputable as Manchester United, this is one aspect they also need to look into in the future

From the news that I read about Ziyech, he was not signed by Al Nassr because he failed to undergo a medical test because there were some problems in Ziyech's knee which made Al Nassr send him back to Chelsea.
This is clearly a loss again after the previous season also he failed to PSG now he failed to Al Nassr but according to some other rumors, there are currently Roma who are ready to make an offer to this player.
Roma did want to bring Ziyech to Serie A several times but always failed, it seems that Chelsea's desire to release Ziyech at this time will benefit Roma if indeed the rumors said are true but there is still no further news about this.

Ziyech has been struggling this year, his first proposed move to PSG in January collapsed because both parties were unable to complete the transfer before deadline, this summer he has faced yet another disappointment from a failed medical for a move to join Al Nassr which I am hearing for the first time that it is fake news but whichever is correct the fact remains that it is a failed transfer which means he is likely to remain with Chelsea except a new club shows concrete interest for him.

I think Chelsea set a selling price too high for Lukaku which in the end was very difficult for Inter to accept. Lukaku is still good, but I don't think his value is higher than 30 million euros, but Chelsea want Inter to pay more. Loan options are being discussed, but it seems Chelsea just want to sell rather than put him on loan again.

Inter have so far not looked like they are going to force Lukaku's transfer at the value asked by Chelsea, that's because Inter seem to want to save a lot of money for other plans. Chelsea had to make a tough decision about Lukaku but I think 30 million euros is a good value for a 30 year old striker.

Ofcourse Inter Milan will be reluctant to buy the Chelsea man who is past his prime years for £30 million. Such amount for a 30 year old isn’t common, the fact that Chelsea prefer to sell him permanently rather than accepting a loan will make it even difficult to strike a deal. Somehow they will have to find a way around the transfer fee, Chelsea will have to reduce the fee for Inter Milan to get the player this summer.

What is the most unhackable crypto platform?
Are you asking for a wallet or an exchange? Either case, there is no programming that cannot be hacked, you just have to minimize the risk by hodling your coins in a non custodial wallet or more preferable a hardware wallet. This way you are solely responsible for your coins because you alone hold the private keys to your wallet. How safe these wallets and your coins are will mostly depend on your personal security, your job is to keep your seed phrase safe.

Since I joined this forum I have always wanted to invest in Bitcoin however Bitcoin investments in my country is not easy because of our currency value and the government is not in much support am currently working on convincing my mom to accepting Bitcoin in her tailoring shop i Also intend on hodling those Bitcoins

I would appreciate any advice on this my move

If bitcoin is not accepted in your country, then it’s definitely not a good idea to start accepting bitcoin as means of payment in your business. If bitcoin is legal in your country, you should also consider how popular it is in your community and how receptive people will be of the idea of bitcoin payment.
Instead of convincing another person to accept bitcoin, you should start buying bitcoins for yourself in little fractions. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking the price is too high, it’s not a must to buy a whole bitcoin, you should buy only what you can afford.

Chelsea's sale was not effective in my opinion, a lot of their players left for cheap and they also let go of a lot of key players so it is necessary for them to be able to find a suitable replacement, it will cost a lot.
Chelsea made a major team overhaul and that made it a little risky to build a team from scratch again by replacing all the important pillars, but if you look at what they got, this had to be done and cost a lot in this transfer market.
I think the most important thing is that they were able to get clubs interested to buy these players because without the sales, it will be difficult making further recruitments and the wage burden of the club will increase rather than decrease. This is good development for the club whether they sold their players for the right price or not, at least they created space for incomings.

Congratulations to Mason Mount for not just securing a move to Manchester United but also securing the number 7 iconic shirt number for a prestigious club like Manchester United. Much will be expected of him as the jersey number comes with much responsibility and expectations. I hope he doesn’t fall short but rather impress us all in this new challenge he has decided to take on.

Brazil has officially announced that Carlo Ancelotti, the current Real Madrid manager, is going to take charge of Brazil from June 24, 2024. Carlo Ancelotti joins Brazil after a long wait Brazil have finally managed to sign Carlo Ancelotti. Brazil have been without a regular manager for a long time and we have seen the effect in the last few friendlies. Carlo Ancelotti is still almost a year away from taking charge of Brazil. I hope that Carlo Ancelotti will be able to bring the Brazilian team back to its former state after taking charge of Brazil.
I hope so too because since the time of Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and the rest of them, Brazil national team have struggled to keep their name at the top of rankings despite enjoying a good reign during the old era. I really Ancelotti is the man to bring transformation and a change to their recent records. The fact that he is already acquainted to some of the Brazilian players makes it easier to understand and work with the team and he does not need too long time to know the players.

Salah performance has declined slightly this season while Gakpo and Nunez have not been able to contribute well and Diaz's long injury has made it even more difficult for their attacking line.
But next season it looks like they are going to make things more interesting by bringing in some midfielders and releasing some older players which will hopefully be better for them.
Mac Allister and Szoboszlai could be the new hope for their current midfield but of course there has to be an improvement from some of their attacking players in terms of performance for next season to be better than this season.
I think Mo Salah’s decline in form can be linked to the club’s overall drop in performance last season, Dias’ injury came as a huge blow to the team and not only did it weaken their attack but it also affected the team mentally. Salah picked up form when the team picked up again, which gives me the impression that his poor performance last season was as a result of the overall team decline.

Steven Gerrard will now join Nuno Espirito Santo and Jorge Jesus in the bubbling Saudi Professional League. This set of coaches will bring the European experience to the league and we might start seeing the impact from this season. Gerrard is a football legend with a whole lot of experience that will benefit the players of Ettifaq FC. But his last coaching job in the English Premier League with Aston Villa didn't end well because he was sacked due to poor performance.

For them to compete with top teams like Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad, Gerrard has to come up with sound coaching strategies and ensure he maximizes the players at his disposal. His influence and good relationship with his former players might lead to the signing of some players from the English or the Scottish league because he needs to rebuild the team. He might be able to replicate his performance in Rangers.
Congratulations to Stephen Gerrard, it’s good to see him return to managerial duty. I love it when ex players transition into managerial roles, most of them make really good managers and I am delighted with this news of Gerrard appointment. The Saudi pro league shouldn’t be as difficult as managing a premier league team if the former Wolves and Tottenham manager can be successful and win the league trophy, there is every possibility that Gerrard will succeed there too.

The arrival of Declan Rice to Arsenal will be decisive in the future for Granit Xhaka. We know that at this time there is no definite information regarding the clarity of Declan Rice's transfer to Arsenal, considering that there is no longer any competition in place and only Arsenal have the chance to get Declan Rice. On the other hand, Granit Xhaka is currently just waiting for the green light from Arsenal so he can join Leverkusen and according to sources, Granit Xhaka's talks with Xabi Alonso have been going on since last May.

Surely Leverkusen will be very happy if they manage to get an experienced player with good quality like Granit Xhaka. Now the decision rests with Declan Rice and if West Ham reach an agreement with Arsenal then Granit Xhaka will soon join Leverkusen in the bundesliga.
It could have been better for the Arsenal squad if they can keep Xhaka despite completing a deal for Declan Rice because Arsenal are still short of players. Any player Arsenal can keep at the moment will be crucial to achieving their goals in the coming season. I’m sure after seeing Arsenal seal the deal for Declan Rice, Leverkusen will push forward for a deal with Arsenal for Xhaka and try to get the deal completely as soon as possible.

I'm sure Liverpool will find a replacement for Firmino and not sure Mbappe will move to Liverpool even though Liverpool have quite a lot of money, because it seems Mbappe is more interested in Madrid than Liverpool and playing in the EPL, talking nonsense seems to never end that's why a lot of media who continues to force things that are difficult to discuss like this. after all Liverpool will not be able to buy Mbappe from PSG.

I'm sure PSG charge high or expensive fees so it's difficult for Liverpool to bring him to Anfield, but even so the club that makes the most sense is madrid and I'm sure Mbappe even though he will move from the PSG club he will play in madrid more than in any other league including Liverpool EPL.
Liverpool already have players who can play in the number 9 position in firmino’s absence. Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo are both capable of playing in that position while Dias and Jota play on the left flank, there is no problem of getting a replacement for Firmino except Jurgen Klopp decides he needs an extra pair of legs to boost the depth of the squad but outside that I think Liverpool need to bring one or two defenders in this summer and they are good to go.

City could not keep Gundogan in the team, this is perhaps a very significant loss for Guardiola, even a salary increase did not help, but Gundogan was more interested in the duration of the contract and Barca offered him a contract for two years. It's hard to say how significant Gundogan's absence will be for City, but he was without a doubt one of the most important players in Guardiola's scheme. But there are no irreplaceable people, so Guariliola will find a replacement for Gundogan.
This is certainly a loss for Manchester City but that shouldn’t be a problem for them in the coming season because City are already surplus of midfielders, Guardiola already have replacements on standby to carry on at his departure. Kovasic has also joined this summer. I am very confident that Gundogan’s absence will not upset the balance of the team.

According a bbcsport news link Newcastle has completed the signing of Sandro Tonali from AC milan in a deal reported to worth £55m, the 23 year is Eddie Howe first major signing as the club is strengthening their squad in preparation for EPL and UCL, Sandro Tonali is a very talented and versatile midfielder, he was in AC Milan squad that won the 2021-22 Scudetto and part of the squad that played last UCL semifinals, this is a subtle signing by Newcastle in contrast with usual huge sign-on fees for players like Declan Rice, Bellingham and Havertz, this is absolutely a good signing by Newcastle I believe Sandro Tonali will be a better option to  injury prone Bruno Guimaraes in their midfield.
Newcastle United are really surprising me these days, looking back from three seasons ago. Who would have pictured Newcastle United playing innthe champions league but since the takeover by the Arabs, they are not just playing the champions league but they can now attract top names around Europe to join them. This is a good signing for Newcastle and I can’t wait to see the impact he will make this coming season.

Manchester United are still messing around with one of the best goalkeeper in the world, I'm talking about David de Gea. With UTD thinking of getting Onana from Inter Milan, I feel is not going to work out as it stands. While the dedicated goalkeeper of UTD has given the Manchester United board a big yes that he wants to stay but it seems they're taking him for granted, first they didn't accept his proposal as to agree to his terms and now they're making him look like he has no other choice, yes David de Gea made the UTD board to see that his committed to the club that's why they don't want to give him what he wants, if I were to be the keeper I'd increase my salary to even make them seek for my service not the other way round. To me I feel he should leave the team and besides they (UTD) don't have much to spend, since they have spent half of the money on getting Mount and this window might be another worst transfer window for them.
I think the Glazers are the main problem at Manchester United as things stand because they are not willing to handle the affairs of the club efficiently. Some months ago I read about the final offer for take over which I expected will see  Manchester Uinted been owned by the Qataris but up till now no resolution or decision have been reached and it is affecting the club transfers for the summer. In my opinion I think De Gea has had a good career with Manchester United but it is time to part ways as he no longer performs at his best and has to be substituted.

Aston Villa recent season steady play which saw them finish in seventh position and qualify for the European Conference League demonstrated their potential as a dangerous group. It is realistic to anticipate that manager Unai Emery would try to strengthen the team for the upcoming season despite the fact that their transfer activity has been relatively quiet thus far with only the signing of Youri Tielemans on a free transfer. Ferran Torres is one player they have their eyes on since he has the potential to greatly improve their attacking capabilities. Especially noteworthy is that Torres seems to be unnecessary in Xavi Barcelona plans giving Aston Villa a promising chance to get him. Newcastle who are also interested in signing the gifted forward might present a challenge. It will be interesting to see which club prevails in the competition for this much desired striker.
Unai Emery did the unexpected, taking Aston Villa to European competition next season. Who would have thought this could be possible in such a short time but Emery has made it possible. The signing of Touri Tielemans will bring improvement to the team’s play and will help create a balance too. I really like the job Emery is doing at Aston Villa and I think other average clubs should take some lessons and put efforts in building their squads. It  shouldn’t be much of a trouble getting Ferran Torres to sign for Aston Villa as long as the figures are right.
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 04, 2023, 03:06:38 PM

The Premier League is the toughest competition in the world and very dynamic. Manchester City, which is the defending champion three times in a row, will certainly face a real challenge again from several contestants who have prepared their squad more deeply. But of course Guardiola is not afraid of that, he will still respect every opponent.

But in my opinion Manchester City will dominate the Premier League again, how come Pep Guardiola has made a very solid foundation and difficult to overthrow. At the moment City's line-up is extraordinary and they also have a very strong mentality.
The premier league used to be the toughest football competition but now Manchester have turned it into a farmers league, they have dominated the league for six consecutive years now winning the league title five in six years and going ahead to win a treble last night. How do you beat such a team? Manchester City has changed the premier league and other clubs are now spending huge amounts on players so they can match the fierce competition.

"Chelsea are planning to hold talks with Napoli over Victor Osimhen.
According to Football.London, the Londoners are thinking of offering at least 100 million pounds for the forward"
https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/victor-osimhen-chelsea-transfer-contract-26833032

This is very interesting news. Chelsea continues to excite the transfer market like last season.
But this time the transfers seem to be more thoughtful. Victor Osimhen is a great player and although £100 million is a huge amount, but Victor Osimhen at least can work them off, in contrast to, for example, Mudrik. Victor Osimhen is in the prime of his career, a great striker, unstoppable for defenders, with a great eye for goal.

To be honest, this news frightens me because Chelsea already have made very good signings that suggests they might be a very dangerous team next season. As a rival, I don’t like the idea of adding Victor Osimhen to the line up of already good players they will be too dangerous to compete against them and it will not be good for the rest of the EPL heavyweights.

The reason they're treating De Gea this way is because he has no pride, they have seen him for whom he is, they know he is welling to play for the club no matter what. If he has that spirit of forcing his way out from the club by now they won't waste time to double his salary from the beginning even if he'll be the second choice. Like who won't want a goalie like De Gea to be on his team? That's the thing with Manchester United and if you check no club is even coming for those players they're ready to sell, see how bad it is for UTD, they can't get any business done as it is.
De Gea has obviously lost respect in this Manchester United side, I remember the times when De Gea was a hero at the club. I think you are right, the fact that he is willing to continue at Manchester United is giving the club a leverage they are using in their advantage. Truly, if he was showing reluctance to extend his contract with the club maybe they would be talking about increasing his wage and begging him to stay.

Onana is a fine replacement for David De Gea who is currently the longest serving player at Manchester United. De Gea’s time at Manchester United has been amazing and he has won a number of trophies with the club. It is sad to part ways after such history shared but even good things come to an end and his Manchester United stay is no exception. Onana’ s signing will trigger DeGea’s departure for sure.
