Instead of talking about bitcointalk forum after mixer ban, most of the people here started talking about other altt forum  Roll Eyes

That is what this thread has been about since the first post.

I can understand criticism about payments and weird rules there, but let's not forget about evil IP that is not available in any other forum, asking people to pay Bitcoin to complete registration is only available on Bitcointalk forum.

That actually serves a legitimate purpose: to prevent spammers & other rulebreakers from registering dozens of accounts at a time. It has nothing to do with collecting profits, unlike every fee on the other forum.

Another thing about funds for servers and money for maintaining website, it's easy to criticize others when bitcointalk collected enough money from donations and ads to last a lifetime  Cool
https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html

It is easy to criticize because it is so blatantly scammy.

Speaking of harbouring a grudge - the thin skinned DT Trolls are now using the trust feedback system as a note book / post it note to project their never ending anger on others

But you would never do such a thing right?  Roll Eyes

TBH I thought about doing the same but changed my mind because your reputation is already beyond rehabilitation. What you said and how you interjected yourself into the topic was extremely low class.

Have you ever once considered that maybe you're the one with the problem?

No?

I know there's a word for such a disorder but it escapes me at the moment.
524  Economy / Reputation / Re: The SportsBet.io Gang on: January 26, 2024, 12:01:54 PM
Go collect your free bets bud, you have done enough Wink

I have never had an account there. They don't accept players from my country.
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: January 26, 2024, 08:41:15 AM
That would be great, but I think every time fees start to approach that level, someone will say, "Oh, now's the perfect time to inscribe my series of byte-perfect CryptoDickButts."

Is that seriously a thing now?

Oh yeah, it was first a thing on Ethereum, and they're actually quite expensive:

https://opensea.io/collection/cryptodickbutts-s3

For 1.25 ETH, you can own this bad boy right now:

They look terrible, lol. I still think CryptoPunks look terrible, but you can't say that in my world, its verboten.

I actually thought to register for a second then I saw this thread above. Look at this beauty^
...
This is where it all goes full retard.

They make you king but only till some one else pays more than you.

Well done... This was some excellent research. Kudos.

My opinion of that forum... well, it didn't go up after reading this.
527  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: January 26, 2024, 07:46:12 AM
How about Jr. Member goodbed? He's trying to get Merit and his posts contain a lot of generic blabla:

Yes, these accounts should be destroyed posthaste. I don't really understand why the phrase is "posthaste," but that's what it is. Anyway, obvious AI spammer is obvious:

goodbed

Post #1 (email picture & accompanying text removed)

I cannot analyze specific emails, but common scam emails related to cryptocurrencies often involve unsolicited investment opportunities, requests for personal information, or urgent actions. Be cautious and verify sender legitimacy.

I consider these type of email as a scam spam mails.

This one is obvious as the first part of the first sentence makes it so, but here's the detector results:

Online gambling is designed for casinos to make money. The excitement of winning may keep you playing, but the odds are stacked against players. Be cautious and gamble responsibly.

Post #3 (removed last sentence as it was clearly tacked on)

The regret of not buying Bitcoin in 2011 is a sentiment shared by many, considering the remarkable price appreciation since its early days. However, dwelling on past opportunities can hinder future decision-making. Instead, focus on the current landscape. While hindsight is 2017-2024, Bitcoin's potential remains a topic of discussion. It's crucial to base investment decisions on thorough research, market analysis, and personal financial goals. Bitcoin's volatility creates opportunities, but it's equally essential to manage risk. Consider strategies like DCA, which involves regularly investing fixed amounts regardless of price fluctuations. Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and broader economic factors. Assess your risk tolerance and invest responsibly. Bitcoin's journey is ongoing, and while the past is immutable, the future presents opportunities for informed and strategic participation in the cryptocurrency market.

DYOR before investing it.

Also, I'm pretty sure Abhishek0.2 is their alt account, as they sent them 2 merits for an exceptionally shitty post, and they have the same style of automated bullshitting about nothing in an attempt to get merits.

529  Economy / Reputation / Re: The SportsBet.io Gang on: January 26, 2024, 06:35:37 AM
Here's that attention you ordered OP:

Sportsbet.io is using several high profile users to dominate the forum.

Incentivizing users to post in their topic (Against the forum rules)

You will notice 90% of the merits are given to people posting their wins, discussing about sports in the sportsbet.io or livecasino.io (sister sites) threads. And the posts are nothing spectacular either, it's simple posts showing their wins and discussing normal topics like soccer.

Merits are hard to earn and when people notice that LFC will shower some merits just for posting anything in their topic, they post and hence it's clearly incentivized posting.

Steve from sportsbet advertises as "Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!" which was misleading since it's the provider who pays out the winnings not sportbet and it was called out publicly by Peeps who was then attacked by the Gang members, as expected.
...
Paid press releases are being shared to mislead users into believing that sportsbet actually paid the winnings.

On what site was the winner playing when they won? Where was the player's account hosted? You are attempting to frame things in a way they are not, which is basically lying, and ironically the very thing you are complaining about.

If you had something genuine to say, you would have done it from your main account.

I don't care who you are, you know what you're doing can't be justified. FWIW, I don't believe that you are actually dumb enough to think that it is, but I do believe you have an ulterior motive.
530  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: January 26, 2024, 03:51:48 AM
I took another look, tried to read what was going on there, and its pretty awful. Good god. What are y'all possibly thinking. It's not just a spamfest, its a Super Summer Spam Extravaganza.

Yes I know it would take me about 5 seconds to find a post equally as bad on this forum, but these types of post dominate over there. To each their own I guess. You guys have fun.
531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: January 26, 2024, 02:53:42 AM
I think we will see 1 sat vB transactions again in a few months.

That would be great, but I think every time fees start to approach that level, someone will say, "Oh, now's the perfect time to inscribe my series of byte-perfect CryptoDickButts."

We'll see.
532  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: January 25, 2024, 06:17:32 PM
A couple interesting tidbits to report on. Firstly, after 5 years, Craig's lawsuit against Peter McCormack came to its final end:

Second, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA), an organization formed in 2021 to counter Craig's pursuit of a copyright on the Bitcoin white paper, rejected a settlement offer from Craig. The rejection comes after experts from both COPA and Craig found that the documents he submitted to prove he was Satoshi had been forged (and not only that, assuredly forged by Craig himself). Some of the biggest findings:

This one struck me as particularly hilarious:

Price of BSV is down 5% for the day.
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inverse Cramer Strikes Again on: January 25, 2024, 01:43:24 PM
Maybe this is happening because it finally became profitable for Cramer to make Inverse Cramer decisions  Cheesy

The weight of Inverse Cramer briefly superseded the weight of Cramer, and so he had to reverse his form in order to restore balance in the universe.

So far BTC is pretty flat from the time of his call. Just goes to show the balancing is still processing.

I looked into it to see if it was possible, and I shouldn't be surprised, but its true, the Super Bowl can't end in a tie (neither can playoffs games, for obvious reasons). A tie score at the end of the 4th quarter initiates an infinite series of overtimes (as many as it takes). Also kind of interesting, only one Super Bowl has ever gone to overtime:

https://sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/nfl/how-many-super-bowls-overtime-history-rules-bm03/
Quote
The New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, 34-28, in Super Bowl LI.

In blowing a 28-3 lead, the Falcons remained one of the NFL teams that have never won a Super Bowl.

Most recently, Super Bowl LVII nearly went to overtime before Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal with 11 seconds remaining.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_LI

Gonna be depressing when the season is over. Cherish these last 3 games folks.

536  Other / Meta / Re: Use of AI on Bitcoin talk on: January 23, 2024, 12:58:45 PM
I imagine there will soon be a day when use of ChatGPT is considered plagiarism and potentially a ban-able offense
To consider something plagiarism, you need evidence. Not, "mechanically seemingly generated text" evidence. Solid evidence. Unless ChatGPT or other AI models allow you to search their database, which I very much doubt as it'd be super privacy invasive, how do you expect this to happen?

We've been doing it for quite some time over here:

AI Spam Report Reference Thread

Based on trial-and-error, me and the other main contributors of that thread have been able to come up with a reporting method that leads to the deletion of most posts reported as "AI spam."

Since its not the same thing as traditional plagiarism, where the text source can be found and presented as solid evidence, I'm of the opinion that it should lead to temp bans and then permanent ban if the user persists. Indeed, some users have already been banned as spammers (whether its a ban for plagiarism or spam, I don't really care, so long as they are banned).

Another newbie is altcoinssousa

Of the thirteen posts this user has so far, twelve of them are written with the help of an AI bot. That's not counting those deleted posts you mentioned in your report. The question is, do we need such users on the forum? I think not. Therefore, this user is being banned.
537  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 23, 2024, 09:39:43 AM
So the issue seems to be infostealer malware targeting Bitcointalk users.
How do they get infected? If it's targeted attacks, they must know how to get the user to install the malware.

https://socradar.io/what-is-stealer-as-a-service/
Quote
Stealer as a Service Distributing Methods

When deploying a stealer as a service model, a major challenge for threat actors is to lead the victim to download the stealer malware. Threat actors can distribute stealer malware through a variety of attack vectors. To deliver the malware to the victims, threat actors frequently use browser extensions, exploited websites, malicious attachments, and Google ads. Some of the most common methods of infection include:

Infected legitimate app: Threat actors infect legitimate apps with malware. Stealer malware is often embedded in YouTube video reviews of popular games, mining software, or NFT (Non-Fungible Token) files on private forums, cheats for popular video games, social media giveaways, and lottery URLs.

Spam: Threat actors generally send stealers via email, often impersonating trusted organizations. The stealer can be attached to the email directly, or the recipients can be tempted to click on a malicious URL.

Compromised system: Stealer malware is sometimes distributed remotely after threat actors gain access to the target system.

Malicious advertising: Victims are redirected to a fake site to download malware by clicking on the malicious ads. In some cases, simply viewing the malicious ads can be enough to initiate the download of a stealer.

Cracked software: Combining stealer malware with cracked software is a distribution method commonly preferred by threat actors.

There may be something that these users all have in common:

- Peanutswar
- tjtonmoy
- ryzaadit
- yhiaali3

I don't think it has to do with altcoinstalks b/c it happened to Peanutswar before the account teleport option was a thing, and I'm not sure they are all members of that forum...

Could be any number of things. It could even be somebody buying stolen login credentials from the malware service subscribers.
538  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 23, 2024, 06:18:35 AM
My device has already been infected with a virus, and I have formatted and erased all of the disks, and I am now in the process of changing the passwords for all my accounts.
Thank you

So the issue seems to be infostealer malware targeting Bitcointalk users. But not only that, whoever is paying for it (its a Malware-as-a-Service subscriber) knows how to apply for loans on Bitcointalk and do so in such a manner that does not arouse suspicion. Very sophisticated, and somewhat of a new phenomenon on the forum (going back to the case of Peanutswar who seems to be the first victim).
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 23, 2024, 06:03:12 AM

I almost took Lions to cover +7 but changed it to 49ers at the last second, and this is my thesis:

- Green Bay is a better team than Detroit; after all, GB whooped on the Cowgirls and Detroit could barely beat the Rams
- its a home game for SF
- right now, Deebo Samuel has a 50/50 chance of playing; I think he will be cleared 24 hours before gameday, and the line will move to SF -9

What do you think @DireWolfM14, since these are your boys
540  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stop see alt's everywhere you look! on: January 23, 2024, 05:47:11 AM
You once again edited your post, but I'm not gonna edit mine; there's nothing more to be said. It's just a neutral, no need to get so mad about it.

And this is what I said: So you are a liar also.

The lie occurred when you said you weren't buying or selling anything here. That's literally what you said.

So not a single proof could you post, just more nonsense bullshit.
