hi could I get some recommendations for best cellphone wallets and why?  Thanks!

Check out the sticky thread which provides a pretty thorough list of wallets including cellphone wallets:

522  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Increase Elecetrum Fee past slider limit on: May 17, 2017, 04:27:34 AM
I'd recommend that you use the Dynamic Fee feature of Electrum rather than specifying manual fees. It does a pretty good job of estimating proper sized fees and helps take the guesswork out of fees when sending bitcoins. Be sure to use the latest version of Electrum as well which includes bug fixes for the Dynamic Fee feature as some older versions had issues with it.
523  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why does the electrum install wizard keep coming up on: May 17, 2017, 04:25:08 AM
Yeah, that is just the password entry for your wallet. The dialog is just misnamed as it isn't an install wizard haha.

How long have you let Electrum sit after entering the password and pressing next? My wallet comes up almost immediately after entering the password. I'm assuming you are running version 2.8.2, right? If not, please try updating to see if it fixes the issue.
524  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Newb question about unconfirmed parent on: May 16, 2017, 06:49:58 PM
I have a transaction that says unconfirmed parent what does it mean?

Also did child pays for parent because that could help, still same message..

What can i do and how long should i wait........

Unconfirmed parent means that one of the previously received transactions that you included in a payment is still not confirmed. In order for your transactions to confirm, all inputs need to be confirmed. If one of those inputs had a low fee and isn't confirmed, you transaction won't confirm until it does. You should be able to follow the transaction history in a blockchain explorer to determine which are still unconfirmed.

If you provide the transaction ID, we would be able to provide more details.

That is a bit disappointing to see a delay for another month. Interesting that they are just now delaying it when it was so close to the date.

How many days is the ICO going to last for, since the cap fund is not capped, I will like to track the ICO duration

It will last for 2000 bitcoin blocks so the ICO is expected to last about 2 weeks in total with bonuses for contributing earlier.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: May 16, 2017, 06:36:09 AM

Another great project heading ICO soon. People will be divided into Tezos, Bancor and Storj and maybe some other interesting and promising projects coming.
Another thread says the project is unreliable and is a big scam.Is it true?
If it is a hoax, there is no limit, it can cheat a lot of money.
No, it's not a scam!
This is a good project, but the market value is very big!

Tezos is going to be my best investment EVER ! I can't wait for the ICO Cheesy.

Can somebody tell me, how much coins will be sold in the ICO, or are they selling till the ICO ends ?! I want to know if there are a certain number of coins that would be sold on the ICO ?! 'cause i couldn't find it in their white paper.

Tezos and Bancor, both going to be very very good Investments ! Smiley

Sorry for my bad English Cheesy

There is not any limit or cap on the number of tokens. They are being sold until the end of the ICO.
528  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum only gave me half my money on: May 16, 2017, 06:00:02 AM
Provide a transaction ID or bitcoin address so we can see the transactions. Without either of these, there is no way that we would be able to tell any information about the transactions.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: May 16, 2017, 12:24:53 AM
hello, will there be a limited amount of coins for the ico? first come first served or will it just continue until the ico finishes?
thanks in advance

They are putting no cap on the ICO so coins are issued until the ICO finishes after the set time period that they defined.

From that slack transcript:
--
soporificprose So their 30% discount was based on the price of BTC at that point? That would make it a much bigger actual discount yo current BTC to 5,000 TZE
breitwoman @soporificprose pardon? no, it was all denominated in dollars
the sale is denominated in BTC
--
Good to know the Pool B investment was all denominated in dollars. What will be the BTC/$ rate for their investment? And the rate for the $422k of bonuses etc in Pool C?

As the sale is denominated in BTC, we need to know the BTC/$ rate that will apply. Would make sense if it was the rate at the time of the TGE start, May 22nd 6am UTC, is that the case?

This is a really good question that should be answered as it could greatly affect the number of tokens that are issued due to the differences in fiat/btc prices over time. The only fair way would be to use the rate at the start of the ICO.
531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Got a bitcoin offer which i am considering on: May 15, 2017, 04:29:08 PM
I am no longer considering working with him but this question is just for my own knowledge.
He just sent me another email (no responses from me since last request for escrow) on an address to verify the bitcoin activity, which shows there is almost no activity but does hold the btc hes saying.
Now my question is... when i saw blockchain.info i was able to see a map for his transactions, but the originating transaction which is 39XoQbLUvm9gb9fZ1MrtW8gRzkRZhSiFGP i cant seem to see the visual map button, why is this the case?
This seems to be a very active wallet from https://blockchain.info/address/39XoQbLUvm9gb9fZ1MrtW8gRzkRZhSiFGP
but doing a search on it does not come up with much info.
101,000 btc wowee

Anyone can link a wallet with lots of bitcoins in it but that doesn't prove that they own the address. They would need to provide a signed message with the private key of that address which you would be able to verify to show that they control that address. They wouldn't be able to sign a message with that address if they didn't have access to the private key.

Not sure about the visual map button, that is a feature unique to blockchain.info and perhaps it doesn't show up for all addresses.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck trx for A WEEK - tried everything. Help! Pretty please...Ill pay any fee on: May 15, 2017, 04:42:18 AM
If you really want to pay to accelerate your transaction, you can try https://pushtx.btc.com/#/ but they are charging around $22 for that transaction.

You are much better off trying to accelerate with ViaBTC for free. You will have to keep trying after they reset as indicated above.
533  Other / Meta / Re: How to check if my account was hacked? on: May 15, 2017, 04:36:28 AM
And obviously, if you suspect your account was compromised, you would want to change its password to prevent further access by anyone who has the password.
534  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: HELP!! - electrum transaction issue - unconfirmed for days on: May 15, 2017, 04:33:26 AM
I'm using electrum 2.6.4 and i'm not sure if I should update my wallet first. Or should I do the child pay for parent.

Please update to Electrum 2.8.2 as it includes bug fixes with how dynamic fees are handled. Older versions can still send incorrectly sized fees with dynamic fees enabled. Upgrading should solve this problem for future transactions.
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Got a bitcoin offer which i am considering on: May 15, 2017, 02:07:25 AM
thank you very much Velkro, Qartada & BTCforjoe, especially BTCforjoe for your extremely detailed and helpful reply.
I was about to jump on it when I saw another email from him saying try from a smaller qty but now I'll just skip it.
and yea he did refuse for escrow but claimed to have lost 500 btc on escrow...

Refusing a known trusted escrow is definitely red flag that this is a scam. You should definitely avoid this as it is not likely to end well.
536  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Need help switching from MultibitHD to Electrum. How to do it? on: May 15, 2017, 01:59:29 AM
Hello,
Can you tell me know how can switching from MultibitHD to Electrum? My 12 words seedphrase is not working for Electrum.
Thanks for helping

I believe they use different seed formats but not 100% sure on that. Your best bet is to create a new wallet in Electrum and send the funds from your old MutlibitHD wallet to your new Electrum wallet.
537  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: uncorfirmed parent I' m a newbie on: May 15, 2017, 01:58:32 AM
Some know how to  resolve the problem about the "unconfimed parent "whith a  normal fee.
the ID is this : 4ec91723da5b4a384cc60e6c197f4a199dc953551f24174a84618665bd32e735
and with a low fee
2940325c4dac76c1eb4abe6e3b3837157eeaebbf3b642e0c4bc8df20713ca768
Thank in advance!
P.s I use Electrum.

The 2940325c4dac76c1eb4abe6e3b3837157eeaebbf3b642e0c4bc8df20713ca768 transaction is still unconfirmed and this transaction used a small fee of 50 sat/byte. That transaction will need to confirm first.

You may want to try pushing it with ViaBTC accelerator ( https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ ) to speed it up. You will need to keep trying to submit as they are often past their submission limit.
538  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: trouble installing PyQT4 in windows on: May 13, 2017, 10:32:30 PM
Do you have SIP installed? ( https://www.riverbankcomputing.com/software/sip/download )

This looks to be a prerequisite and if you don't have it installed, it could be causing the issue.
539  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Should I be worried ? on: May 13, 2017, 10:29:19 PM
It sounds like the config file was regenerated but not sure why this would happen unless it got corrupted somehow. Doesn't really seem like any sort of attack to me.
540  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Account 1 not syncing on: May 12, 2017, 07:08:38 PM
Hi, I am using Ledger for managing my ethereum wallet and it is working just fine for account 1 but it is not syncing for account 2 (BIP44).
The account which is syncing has around 1k transactions and the one that is not has around 15k transactions. I checked the wallet file in the syncing process and it is not increasing in size. The wallet says it is syncing but nothing happens for hours and I have tried this on two machines (macbooks).
What can I do to get the syncing process to start working?
Thank you

Check the network window to ensure you are receiving data from nodes. Sometimes the sync process just takes a long time initially. You may want to try leaving it running overnight to see if it syncs up.
