আমার যতটুকো জানা এই সকল ঘটনা বেশি ঘটে মুলত ব্যাক্তিগ আক্রোশ থেকে, আপনার সাথে আমি একমত, একজন বড়ভাই বলেছিল পুলিশ ঘুস খায়না এটা ভুল, কতো লিমিট পার হলে সে ঘুস খাবে এইটা জানা জরুরী কারন এখানে এখানে একটা কাজ কতোক্ষন পর্যন্ত মানুষ না করে থাকতে পারে এটার একটা লিমিট আছে, এরোকম পুলিশ এর মধ্যেও এমন আছে যে বছরে এতগুলা মামলা ছাড়া বেতন বারবেনা, তখন তারা এটা করার জন্যে মরিয়া হয়ে উঠে, আর পুলিশ সপ্তাহের সময় তো কোনো কথাই নাই। আমি নিজেও হ্যানস্তার শিকার হয়েছি। ট্রাফিক পুলিশ প্রথমে তারা যখন কোন গাড়িকে ধরে বা চেক করে যদি সব কিছু ঠিক থাকে তাও তারা হয়রানি করার চেষ্টা করে। দেখা যায় কোন গাড়ির কাগজ পাতি সব ঠিকঠাক আছে অথচ সে কোন একটা কিছু নিয়ে আসতে ভুলে গেছে এর জন্য তাকে টাকা ঘুষ দিতে হবে যদি সে ব্যক্তি টাকা ঘুষ দেওয়ার জন্য অমত পোষণ করে তখনই সে ট্রাফিক পুলিশ ওই গাড়িওয়ালা কে মামলা দেওয়ার জন্য উঠে পড়ে লাগে। পুলিশ হচ্ছে সবচাইতে বেশি ঘুষখোর আমাদের বাংলাদেশের সৎ পুলিশ অফিসার আছে তবে খুবই কম। আমার এখানে ট্রাফিক পুলিশ ব্যানওয়ালার কাছ থেকে দশ টাকা করেও ঘুষ নেয় এটা আমি নিজে দেখছি তাহলে এরা তো অন্য অন্য গাড়িদের কে হয়রানি করবে এটাই স্বাভাবিক তাদের কাছ থেকে বেশি প্রত্যাশা রাখা যাবে না সাধারণ জনগণের। এই জিনিসটা প্রতিদিনই দেখে আসতেছি এবং সহ্য করতেছি। আর এই অহেতুক হ্যানস্তার কারণের আমরা পুলিশকে এভোয়েট করার চেষ্টা করি। সৎ আছে ভাই, অনেক সৎ আছে, কিন্তু এসব অসৎদের মাঝে তাদের ডাক শোনা যায় না। সৎ পুলিশ অফিসার আছে আমিও বিশ্বাস করি কিন্তু তাদেরকে আমি সামনে কখনো দেখতে পাই না। আমার চাচা পুলিশ অফিসার সে অনেক সৎ পাঁচ ওয়াক্ত নামাজ পড়ে , কিন্তু তার পজিশন একদম নিম্নস্তর এলাকায়। যারা অতিরিক্ত চালাক এবং বেয়াদব টাইপের তাদেরকে রাস্তায় এবং রাজধানীর ভেতর ও সদর থানা গুলোতে রেখেছে। যাদেরকে দিয়ে কঠিন কাজগুলো আদায় করা সহজ হবে সেই সকল পুলিশ অফিসারদের পদমর্যাদা বৃদ্ধি করা হচ্ছে। এই ধরনের কথা আমার চাচা উল্লেখ করেছেন আমাদের মাঝে তাই আজ আমার সেই কথাগুলো মনে পড়ল। আমি অনেক পুলিশকে দেখছি, অনেক ভদ্র নম্র, বাবা বাবা করে ডাকে, ভুল ত্রটি থাকলে সর্তক করে, ছেড়ে দেয়। কিন্তু কিছু নাছরবান্দা ঘুষখোরদের কারণে তাদের প্রতি যে ভালো মনোভাবটা ছিল, তা আর থাকে। যেখানে পুলিশ হচ্ছে জনগনের বন্ধু, সেখানে আমরা তাদের জনগনের শত্রু মনে করি। এর প্রধান কারণ ঐসব করোপ্ট পুলিশ অফিসার।
পুলিশ জনগণের বন্ধু ছিল অনেক আগে অতীত সময়ে। কিন্তু এখন বর্তমানে পুলিশ সরকারের নিয়ন্ত্রণে চলে গেছে মানুষের উপকারে আসে কম যদি পুলিশকে ঘুষ দেয় তাহলে অন্যায়ের পক্ষে কথা বলে। যে বেশি টাকা দেয় পুলিশ তার দিকে রায় দেয়। পুলিশ ভালো হবে যেদিন নিজে নিজের অতি বিচার করতে শিখবে। জনগণের উপর বেশি অত্যাচার করলে জনগণ একদিন উপযুক্ত জবাব দেবে তাই বেশি বাড়াবাড়ি ভালো না এর জবাব অবশ্যই একদিন পেতে হবে। ইতিহাস সাক্ষী যে দল অথবা ব্যক্তি বাড়াবাড়ি করে বেশি সে বেশিদিন পৃথিবীতে বেঁচে থাকতে পারে না তার পতন অতি দ্রুতই হয়। |
