With a few minutes left for the match to end, Everton leads Newcastle United by two goals to nil. With tonight's win, they will be out of the relegation zone to 17th Position, just one point above Luton. If the point deduction had not been into effect, they would be 10th. These are the kinds of games Newcastle should be able to win with ease, but they keep losing points. Maybe they are not yet the top club we expect them to be now that they are backed by a huge financial muscle.

Everton are seriously doing well this season, when I saw the point deduction I was a little bit sad for them but truly I will say even if it would come in future then right now is the best time, they this season are in fine form and this season is still early so they can easily fight it out which I trust they will do, we can give Sean Dyche his credit for this rebuild.

As for Newcastle United I wouldn’t blame them for losing because they have actually done well in their last matches even with the injury crisis surrounding them. They have been playing same team for like five matches now without making much substitutions, even a well balanced club like Manchester City would face same problem with this thin squad. A full Newcastle squad would have beaten Everton

Although I bought my first Bitcoin through a P2P transaction with an exchange wallet, after receiving my first coins I have to resend them to an electrum Bitcoin wallet because it is safer.

I would say this is a great idea by you to go into full custody of your bitcoin by choosing an electrum wallet. The wallet is more secure than centralized exchanges like binance, just be sure you keep your seed phrase safe and store it online to avoid it been stolen. As for the device in which the wallet is installed make sure it is free from malware or viruses and avoid all clicking unnecessary links to avoid phishing attack. To over this device problems I will advice you consider purchasing an hardware wallet like passport.

Also take note of your privacy, you do not need to disclose this current picture showing your bitcoin.

I had 2 btc when their price was less than $200, sadly my situation forced me to sell them at $300, therefore I came to the conclusion that if we do not have economic stability we will not be able to maintain it in the long term.
but without a doubt it was a great investment.

Don’t feel bad about your choice, anybody can make same choice once, at least we you something to turn to in terms of need. In future I will advise you use any amount that you don’t need and not probably your emergency funds so that you don’t turn to bitcoin every time you need money. The longer you hold the more the better and the more gain you will gain

Another home win for Aston Villa in the EPL, that is 14 consecutive home wins for Aston Villa in the Premier League, unbelievable feat. Aston Villa fans are currently living the dream, they are third in the Premier League and playing fantastic football, if they continue playing like this, then they could even finish in the top four.

As for Manchester City, that is 4 games without a win, 3 draws and one loss, and they definitely didn't play like champions tonight, Villa were by far the better team and they deserved to win. City have failed to win a game this season when Rodri was unavailable, it is clear that City cannot do without him, and i can imagine a scenario where Rodri gets injured, that is disaster for City, i really think they need to go into the market and buy a few players in January.

Unai Emery has done some excellent work at Aston Villa since arrival last year. Aston have now found there way back to the premier league top and not longer a mid table team. The players this season that we’re added have been the ones super heading this season. Players like Pau Torres have enjoyed a smooth start to continue. The Villa park had also become a fortress which seems  hard to beat Aston Villa. They dominated a team like Manchester city which shows they are not to be taken for granted.

As for Manchester city I will say they are just experiencing a post treble winning season fatigue and to be frank they need it. I don’t blame them that much, this season is truly going to be a bit rough for them because there players fitness will definitely be questioned. As for Rodri, I don’t think they need anymore players, the likes of Kovacic, Nunez and Kalvin Philips are his replacement but they haven’t settled down well and also the players are different.

LoyceV has the ability to unban?, who did he unban that made you say so? And only admin or probably mods can do that he doesn’t belong in any of those categories. Also I don’t see the issue or unbanning related to this thread.

525  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will exceed the $100k barrier before 2025 on: December 06, 2023, 09:24:57 PM
Some people predict a new ATH this year, but I don't think it will happen. IMO we will not get a new ATH unless one of the 3 happens:
1. ETF approved
2. FED at full pivot easing heavily
3. We're at least 3 months past halving.

If all of these happen, you can expect 150k or more.

As for your prediction, I think that we'll see 100k next year, so I do agree with you.

I think what you meant was people predicted a new ATH next year and not this year, although there were some predictions towards it but most people didn’t predict a new ATH a year or months to the halving. Base on past halving trends some even predicted 2025 as the new ATH year but with the recent developments and FOMO narratives around this the ETF approval I think we will actually see a new ATH even if we don’t touch the $100k next year. New ATH should start from the price of $70k and with hype of ETF approval causing this price rise then it’s approval next year will cause more pump so we can actually touch that new ATH but should it be rejected or delay then a new ATH will either be late next year or 2025

526  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I check the blockhain? on: December 05, 2023, 10:27:13 PM
If you run a prune node, you can check only your own transactions and if you import a new address, you have to redownload the blockchain.
If the purpose is to check any transaction without relying on third parties, a prune node wouldn't be helpful and you would have to run a full node.

That’s true but since a prune node can have some past blocks stored too, that means not all new address that needs to be verified it has to download past blockchain because some of the recent address might already have its block already on the prune node. It will redownload the entire blockchain again only if the address to be verified is older than the main address running the prune node?
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I check the blockhain? on: December 05, 2023, 09:55:13 PM
Hello, when I make a transaction, sending or receiving, is it recomended to check if it's valid on the blockchain?
How do I do it?
Running my own node helps checking it? Thank you

Yes you can run your own full node to avoid using the public blockchain explorer which could affect your privacy. Also just as said when when receiving a transaction do not rely total because it is in the explorer, have Atleast 3 confirmations or 6 confirmations which is considered the most safest option to avoid anything like a chain reorg in the process which could render even a 1 confirmation transaction invalid.

Running a node is different and you will have to spend money to have more space because you will need lots of space because running a node means you will download the data in the blockchain. <...>

I wouldn't say that's entirely accurate.  You don't necessarily need to spend money to run a full Bitcoin node.  Nowadays most regular computers have plenty of disk space for storing the whole blockchain.

As of now, the Bitcoin blockchain takes up around 530 gigs.  but even a cheap laptop these days likely has at least a few terabytes of disk space. and  So for most folks, storing the blockchain wouldnt be an issue or require buying new hardware.

Aside even running a full node if it is too large to keep the entire blockchain you can simply run a prune node and specify the amount of size you want it to occupy. Prune nodes is same as full node in terms of privacy
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 05, 2023, 09:44:23 PM
I don't feel the fear of missing out the opportunity, because during the year end the price used to bounce and this time it is happening at the right moment. Most of the time close to the days of Christmas we experience major price rise. Start of the year itself there is good push in the market. $44k+ price from the range of $26k is a big bounce in short term. This can cross $50k with few corrections interrupting in between. Crossing $50k the growth will be in much faster way than the current movement.

I don’t think is every ending of the year that we see a big pump because if you look at the past charts bitcoin always has a slight fall every ending of the year probably because of the supply that gets high in fact this years December was predicted to be a month of correction but it seems etf approval is gearing this bullish trend before even the halving occurs. I predict with this price increase plus a etf approval we will witness a price almost close to the ATH before the halving.

I would say only the experience people wouldn’t be carried away with this particular price increase but for short timers they will FOMO easily. One thing just remains keep stacking the real bull run is after halving
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 05, 2023, 09:27:53 PM
So far Luton Town are doing it very well, they have even scored a goal. It stand 1-1 after 40 minutes and that was the first shot on goal and direct a goal. But Arsenal are much better, they are controlling the game. I dont think there are any changes at half-time by Arsenal, all the players look fit and I think it takes only time before they make the 2-1.

It’s already 2-1 in favor of Arsenal at halftime. The Luton team actually showed some character but Arsenal have been in superb form aren’t taking chances. The second half will be an end to end action but I think Arsenal will prevail. This win will make them go ahead of the Manchester city with 6 points and 5 points ahead of Liverpool it will be a good before the packed up games in this festive season. My biggest worry for Arsenal has always been them not battling any injuries when the league second phase starts. Last season it was the issue that made them lose the league last season but with few signings this season I think they will be better.

As for Manchester city it is understandable how they have lost form this season. The slump of last season treble is still giving them Hangover and that has affected there confidence. They have drop points during multiple games which are against the traditional 6 teams and the match was fierce. What is stopping Manchester city at the moment is the lack of creativity in the midfield, should DeBruyne come back then city will be a team to beat. The likes of Halaand will come to life. City is still not out of the league and are my favorite even though I don’t want them doing a four in a row
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 05, 2023, 09:07:42 PM
Continuing the conversation about Man United Goalkeepers, Newcastle seems to be interested in adding David De Gea to their lineup with Nick Pope being injured. If United do go for another Goalkeeper in the winter transfer window, de Gea should most likely make a move as being 3rd GK option for Man United doesn't seem to be a suited role for a player of his caliber.

Manchester United are not going to go for David Degea because they already have two other goal keepers that can come in should Onana leave for AFCON. Newcastle is the favourite to land him because Nick Pope is gonna be out for like 5 months and they need another experienced keeper to come in for him. I wish Degea just accepts the offer but the big problem is his wages. Before him leaving Manchester United he was one of the highest earners and I don’t think Newcastle will pay him that much.

I still don't understand why David De Gea didn't sign a new contract at the end of last season. It makes no sense for him to be without a club after leaving Manchester United. He is only 33 years old. Many goalkeepers have played and are still playing at the highest level at that age. David De Gea could also sign for Newcastle United and continue to play at the highest level in the Premier League. I think it would be the right deal for both parties. If David De Gea returned to Manchester United today, he would undoubtedly be in the starting eleven.

Degea situation with the Board of Manchester United got sour and that’s why he left. He felt that he was disrespected and he didn’t sign the new contract again. Clubs came for him but his wages were scaring to been paid. Although he had great offer from the Saudi league but decides to stay in Europe because of his family who have already gone fond of the place and that’s why we still hear he is around Manchester.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 04, 2023, 08:40:11 PM
Does Newcastle United really need another goal keeper. Maybe yes with the rumour of Pope injury. For Manchester United I think they need a backup goalie because Onana will go for African Nations cup. So, even if Newcastle needs another goal keeper, I think Manchester United also needs a good goalie to help Onana that is under duress

The question of whether Onana or De Gea is always in mind whenever there is rumour of De Gea because I have seen Manchester United linked to De Gea and the problem was the wage. To be sincere the level of wage that De Gea was requesting was high for his age. If he wants such a few, SPL will be the best place to go.

Manchester United never did want to bring back Degea, if not they will have gotten him. Manchester United already a back up keeper who is actually highly regarded in the Turkish league. Altay Bayindir is ok to deputize for Onana if he leaves for the AFCON and then they have an experienced Tom Heaton again on the bench. In as much as I love De gea and would want him to come back and get a befitting sendOff, it will be a bad decision to bring him back because that will cause stir in the dressing room. Even as Onana is making mistakes in the team, I don’t think they need to bring in Degea but rather create competition between Altay and him. Should Degea come back Erik Ten Hag will lose the dressing room as players will split on opinion of him leaving again and players like Sancho will be expected to be called back too.

As for Newcastle, it is the best chance to bring in another competitive goalkeeper with experience and leadership to help lead this young squad to the future. Degea is well suited to Newcastle to avoid all the unnecessary pressure and rumors in Manchester United.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 04, 2023, 08:28:13 PM

Everton and Newcastle both won their last matches, but Newcastle was the better team. I don't think it's too risky to expect Newcastle to win the game against Everton, they are the favorites based on their performance. Even if Everton plays at home, then I think the morale of the players is not good after the points deduction. They are under huge pressure and I don't think they can steal any points from Newcastle.

I agree that Everton are still very likely to avoid relegation this season because they have 24 games yet to play. Everton can improve and return to their best form, but not when Everton plays Newcastle or a better team.

Everton seriously have be brilliant this season when compared to last season, but Newcastle can easily be called one of best currently in the league it will be hard to beat them but I will say Everton has a chance. The point deduction adds hunger to their game and they will need every points they can get this time around. This game is like the fourth game in a row now that Newcastle will be playing same team without any major substitution except that of Ritchie. I believe fatigue will set in and with Everton having more resting time they could punish Newcastle this weekend.

Have said this before am not sure both teams have a coach are they sleeping or what, most especially Chelsea they wasted their money buying frauds, what both teams are facing now I will blame their coach Ten Hang and Mauricio Pochettino and in situations like this we should blame the coach, I can still remember when Arsenal faced the similar issue every week Arsenal will always play something else and everyone blamed Wengar, same problem with Arteta at first and I was like what's going on but till today I can't tell how  Arteta build himself and the team, Ten Hang and Pochettino should work on themselves first before the team can progress, I find no fault in the players.
Manchester United vs Chelsea match will be so funny it's a must watch match but I can't predict the winning.

You found no fault with the players but it’s the coach, I think I will disagree with you. Take a look at Manchester United they have sacked 3 to 4 coaches which two can be called one of the best in the business. But with the same players nothing has changed. Is it Ten Hag’s fault that this team can’t spin a 20 second passes between themselves. Against Newcastle, the goal they scored, Rashford lost possession and was strolling back without pressing, same thing with Martial. Is that the coaches fault.

The Arteta you mentioned that struggled and later found a team how many of those players did he start with and are in the team now? I think only Saka that he promoted that is change. And that is what Manchester United need not to change another Coach and continue recycling them
533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antpool set to return 83.4btc transaction fee paid. on: December 04, 2023, 08:14:56 PM
If the hacker can manage to send the previous transaction with 83BTC as transaction then he's still in possession of the wallet key and in this situation the only to verify the true ownership is through the signing message from self-custodial wallet address that the wallet owner once send BTC to before the hacking accident.

What you mean is signing message an old receiving address, this is actual a good way but what if the address doesn’t belong to the real owner of the wallet or probably the address private key or seed phrase is no longer available?

The malicious actor has apparently the private key of the wannabe "cold storage" of the legit owner. What the malicious actor likely doesn't have is the private key of the owner's address where the coins came from to be transfered to his (bad) "cold storage".
What you meant is the real owner should sign a message from the first address that this wallet was first funded with? Just like I said it could be possible that the coins might have come from exchanges or that wallet keys is no longer available
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 02, 2023, 06:08:05 PM
I hope so too that they don't repeat the mistake of previous season after giving their all only to get it all wrong at the end. I think a solidification of their position at the top of the table with a clear distant points away from City let say 10-12 points clear will be great. Also, I just wish to talk about the the 1 goal conceded by Arsenal in this game in the 86mins of play, that Cunha goal was due to a defensive error which I think coach Artheta need to give a close look at his defender's for correction in future, because the last 10mins before full time wasn't funny for a team whose objective is to win the EPL trophy this season.

Arsenal are currently doing well and that's why they are the league leaders. This game against the wolves was actually a tricky one and I was a bit scared that Arsenal could have dropped point because wolves have always been a nuisance to all top 6 traditional teams especially Manchester city. The thing now is can Arsenal keep up the momentum? I will give them a necessary of doubt because of the acquisition of new players. The one problem Arsenal had last season was defensive shortage due to Saliba injury then this season the defender has been solid again and if they keep him fit with the return of Timber the defense line will be complete. The next thing is to get a back up striker in the winter transfer window.

Arsenal could lead the table until next year but I don't think they will ever give any team that gap of 10 points because the EPL is too competitive this season to have teams slip up like that
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 02, 2023, 05:51:34 PM

This has got to be very inaccurate if you ask me. Heo do you want to measure the both of them then?! Inter Milan got to the Champions League finals and lost with a narrow win from City. Arsenal bottled the chances they had on winning the Premier League. We all know how the Champions League is way bigger than the Premier League. You shouldn't have compared the both of them in the first place.

This season, Inter Milan are also a better team than Arsenal, with both defending and attacking, you can't compare them together. If you intend to rank em, Inter Milan should come first ahead of gunner's.
Manchester United would be hoping nobody wins the game between Galatasaray and Copenhagen so they get a win against Bayern Munich. They'll need a miracle in between.

Firstly I would say inter Milan and Arsenal both are on the same level in terms of performance this season, if Arsenal is not even better Than them. Arsenal bottling the league wasn't just to anybody but to a city side that can be considered as one of the greatest in the team ever. The only thing inter Milan has over Arsenal is the champions league final experience and a more experience players but I will consider them same. on that list I will only move Bayern Munich above the two team, last season they didn't do well because of the lack of a proper striker but this season they have the best No 9 in the world in person of Harry Kane. if Halaand could power City to the title I also believe that Kane could be that person too
536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the importance of identify in your local board? on: December 02, 2023, 02:48:53 AM
Now I understand it is optional to identify in your individual local board. I have just a question to ask. If a person is not fluent in speaking good English on the general boards will they have to remain only on their local board for the rest of their time or years spent in the forum? Is there any consequences for bad English and comments on other general board that the message is not being conveyed to other. Perhaps someone writing a topic that the other members can’t read it or relate with it because of errors in spellings and grammatical functions
This forum is just a place for you to learn, so if you find almost all what you need that is all the information you want from even a board there is not necessity for you to leave there except you wish. For example you speak only the Russian local board language and you are get all your info from there, there is no need to move. Moving to a different board in the forum in which the language use there is the one you’re not familiar with is definitely not advisable because you will only be stressing yourself more and this could even lead you to the use of translators and this is bad and against the forum rules which is somewhat considered plagiarism and could lead to ban.

So do not leave the board to that which you can’t understand or pass information on, even if it is a single thread that gets you what you want stick there. There is no rule to be everywhere even on the general board in the forum
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Antpool set to return 83.4btc transaction fee paid. on: December 01, 2023, 10:00:42 PM
The record breaking high transaction fee of 83 bitcoin paid for a transaction of bitcoin which the block was mined by Antpool had earlier reported here which was found out to be a hacked wallet due to weak randomization of seed has been after a tweet on X. Now the pool that got lucky to mine the block in which is AntPool is ready to return the excess fees. Although it is not mandatory to return the fees but they are willing to return it.

Now the procedure is to just sign a message using the private of the sending address. The procedure is as explained here by AntPool with deadline set to 10 December.

My problem or say concern is what if the hacker is still in possession of the keys and ends signing the message.

Should Antpool decides to be careful and send the excess bitcoin back to that address as any new address collected by them might also belong to the hacker and in sending it back to the address again what if the sweeping malware is still on the address and the bitcoin is immediately sent out again to the hacker new address is there away for the network to block this kind of immediate transaction again from that same account for the main time. Just like double spending sometimes is rendered invalid by most nodes.

If you’re the owner and you are not if the private key is with the hacker and they could use it to Sign the message what will you do at this moment?
538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 01, 2023, 04:26:46 PM
I agree that depending on the fate of other clubs is something that is very disappointing, and that will be experienced by Manchester United at this time. Manchester United can be said to only depend on luck now seeing such a reality. Because if they win against Bayern Munich, then if Galatasaray or Copenhagen one of them can win then it will not make them qualify, only maybe they will be in the Europa League play offs. But still it is something difficult, even their opponent this time is Bayern Munich which we know what their strength is like.

It’s going to be an exciting end to the group game in both group A and Group H. For group A Manchester United are just hanging by a thread, not only do they need to pull a miracle to win against a giant like Bayern Munich but also need luck in the other game. Yes I believe Manchester United can win Bayern Munich because Bayern already have qualified and their perfect record of not dropping points in the group stage has been broken by the draw against Copenhagen, so we all will be predicting them to Atleast name a weaker team against United. Another advantage is united are playing at home, which also isn’t much of an advantage since they haven’t won much there this season but we know they will have the backing of the fans to rally them all the way.

The other match between Copenhagen and Galatasaray is going to be the most fierce one because not only can both qualify to the round of 16, both can also drop to Europa league or out of the European competitions totally. This means both teams will Atleast have a target of getting into the Europe second division which of any lost will be at the mercy of Manchester United losing. So until then I can’t predict any right now
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 01, 2023, 04:16:38 PM
Improving the performance of a team doesn't occurred in a day but it do triggered in weeks and months before watching such team grow to become very promising in performance and strong when it comes to gaining full ground. Erik Ten Hag is not and will never be the prominent coach for Manchester United. I think is high time Manchester board and the Glazers family relieve him off his duties as headcoach because he's been given too much time to fixed the club and he's showing his impotent actions and have really dealt with the team's stats.

Given too much time? I beg to differ, this is Ten Hag second full season in charge of Manchester United, there have been many managers who have came and given too much time than this. Last season he came into the club and I would say raised the performance of the club, won there first trophy since 2018 even some saw it as a micky mouse trophy and then went to a cup final, finished third to qualify for the champions league which has been a nightmare so far. Yes I still think some of his decision making are poor and sentimental but I feel he deserves more time with this club. What Manchester United needs a good director of sport to make some football decisions and not necessarily sack mangers anyhow. What Manchester United needs is to Lower their expectations and build the team gradually, Arsenal and Liverpool were at this point with the current managers but with the backing of the Board they are looking like a proper team.

540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 30, 2023, 09:06:35 PM

I don't think Manchester City will win the trophy this season because he has shown on their performance because they are weak this season they are not strong like last season, I just think Arsenal or Liverpool can win the premier league trophy season especially Arsenal because I believe in them they can try their best and win the league title they won't make mistakes like last season that caused Manchester City to win the league and Liverpool are better than last season and playing well, I enjoyed their match against Manchester City they played really well, and if they continue like this they can win the league title.

Manchester City are not at their best as we saw last season but that is understandable due to the number of matches they play last season and the treble won. Everyone actually expected them to slump a little bit this season and that is what we are witnessing. But still I don’t still see a formidable opponent to challenge them for the title. Arsenal were able to challenge them last season and fell short but with new signings this season they look like a team that could still go all the way to the title but I still doubt their credibility of winning it. As for Liverpool, they are just better than last season but not yet the Liverpool side that won the league years back. As it stands with Manchester City still in the race even without their talisman De Bruyne, I will bet on them to win it again if he returns and back to form. But the jinx that no club has ever won it four times in a row could still play it’s part.
