521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy a new gaming PC to also mine? on: March 22, 2018, 11:51:25 AM
i have 8 vegas on my gaming pc, with a strong cpu and enough ram u can even play on 1 vega and mine on the other 7 Grin
-Snip-
yeah ofcourse openair, this rig is under my desk so i always have warm feet Grin
8 vegas? Hm.. Sounds very unlikely that you'll be able to mine while gaming.

Vegas are notorius for being unstable as shit. Running 8 at a stable hashrate alone would be a feat, much more playing games while mining. So sorry but unless pics can be posted i call major bullshit on this guy. Probably the reason for red paint.

I do it. I'm playing Solitaire when my rig on mining. Maybe treanski play another game, Minesweeper or may FreeCell, even 3D Pinball, who knows.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers on: March 22, 2018, 11:19:09 AM
That PSU has 4 Molex 4 Pin's but on one rail. You can only power two risers using that 4 Pin's Molex for safety.
-Snip-

Per EVGA THEMSELVES, the PORT that the Molex string is connected to on the PS is only rated 75 watts.
DO NOT look at that 300 watt rating on the connector (which would be 288 watts ONLY if it had 3 pins each on +12VDC and ground) and think it applies to the PSU PORT itself.

Just ignore about power rating, I posted that pic just for show how many connectors would have full power for each rail.

Total power draw by GPUs is combining between PCIe Cable and PCIe bus.  GPUs can draw up to 75 watts through the PCIe bus, but not always. In facts, I use SATA (one rail one Riser) to powering Risers for my R9 390/390x, 290/290x, almost two years with no issue. It is isn't technical, this is the real experience.

As already stated, you have ZERO CONTROL over how much power a GPU pulls out of the PCI-E bus vs the PCI-E power connector (they DO NOT always, IF EVER, prioritise the power connector) so there is no way to be sure that a SATA power connection to a riser is going to be safe unless you actually MEASURE the draw, or the card pulls less than about 50 watts TOTAL for the entire card (GTX 750 ti or HD 7750 - the GTX 1050/1050ti CAN'T be turned down that far, though at minimum 52.5 watts they're at least close).

The draw is not always "proportional" to the TDP setting as well - some cards appear to draw power for their memory and/or video output circuitry from the PCI-E bus while powering the GPU itself from the 6/8/multiple power connector(s) so turning the TDP down will have almost ZERO effect on the draw from the PCI-E bus.

May it depends on a company that designed the card. Some cards draw from the PCIe slot to the fullest, and some other use it only to power fans and LEDs. It explains why some people haven't an issue using "one SATA for one Riser." for a long time running. And the other people get in trouble with it, And also depends on which PSUs they are using. (again, based on experience)
523  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [HELP]Bantuan untuk menaikkan Rank (Jr. Member s.d Hero)[UPDATE] on: March 22, 2018, 06:21:27 AM

3. Jangan terpengaruh dengan adegan drama korea biarkan saja

Saran buat The Real Beginner:

   a. Pengetahuan tentang, khususnya RIG dan mining bertambah.

   b. Pengetahuan tentang RIG itu, baik technical/teori saya tulis kembali dalam bentuk Post/mengomentari OP

Sungguh tragis nasib the real beginner, keinginan akan smerit dan rank up melampaui batas-batas kemampuan mereka.

To be continue.....

524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy a new gaming PC to also mine? on: March 21, 2018, 08:10:43 PM
When I'm not using the machine, it could be used for mining?

If you plan to part-time mining, maybe you need to read up more info about pool payment systems such as PPS, PPLNS, DGM, etc. It will give you information about a correlation between time stay and miner's rewards on the pool. Some pool payment scheme even can be tricked by the practice of mining called Pool-Hooping (popular 1-2 years ago).

And would I be able to get a 100% return on investment before the end of 2018?

Depend on many things.

The other option would be to get an AntMiner instead of multiple graphic cards. So, what are your thoughts?

A few threads have given a comparison of ASIC and GPUs, may, can be your reference. Use the search function.
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NeoNeonMiner for Android-Mining Myriadcoin on: March 21, 2018, 08:10:37 AM
Can you do something else while your phone in mining process? Call someone, browsing or whatever? Just curious about mobile mining.

Back to the point.

how do I know when the coins that I mined are transferred to my wallet? It doesn't even say how much I have mined and for how long.

You can check the pool you are using. Or may those apps show you mining statistic, try to find it. (I never used something like that)

And how much could you mine per day?

Use online mining calculator. Google it with "Myriadcoin mining calculator"

526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers on: March 21, 2018, 07:45:51 AM
That PSU has 4 Molex 4 Pin's but on one rail. You can only power two risers using that 4 Pin's Molex for safety.

For SATA connector, risers powering terms for safety.
Use only one SATA connectors per rail for powering risers. Yes, SATA would produce max 54W, but GPUs would draw power as much as needed only. And they have powered by PCIe cable.

EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2 has ten SATA connector from four different rails. So, you can use two SATA rail to powering two risers, and the other use for HDD/SSD or maybe another part.

For your reference:
SATA

527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin to mine?! Short guide of tips. on: March 21, 2018, 07:16:28 AM
Good job!

Maybe people who always ask what coins are best to be mined will be a bit disappointed with this post. They want specific, coins name, the best pool to mine it, and even they will asking "how-to-do".  Cheesy

I like this part:
Research coins listed on this page: https://newborncryptocoin.com/new-cryptocurrencies-list/
Alot of these coins you wont hear about anywhere or even know they exist, and they are nicely placed all in one great spot.
Be sure to donate something, alot of time and research goes into this page.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is your prospective about short term mining coin picking? on: March 21, 2018, 06:59:52 AM
Whatever you or other miners do, it's entirely nothing's wrong with what they do in the way to do mining. Every miner has own passion, consideration, research, and experience. Also has own calculation to make a decision which coins will be mined.

Even sometimes I do the same as you, but when am busy, I just pointing my Rig to solid coins.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BitSend Mining on: March 19, 2018, 09:27:01 AM
So, your hashrate was drop. My question, where you see that your hashrate was drop? In ccminer or pool stat? If you see that's on software client, mean trouble was on the system or cards itself. On pool, it's normal.
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mph issue on: March 19, 2018, 09:04:04 AM
Did you see that pool has solved block for Siacoin? Pool and all of the miner on that pool will only get paid if they were solving a block (proof-of-work terms). If no one block solved, that pool and all miners would get nothing.

Shares just proof that you have work and help the pool with trying to solving a block.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm calling it crypto is dead in 2018...the crypto hype has died like disco did on: March 19, 2018, 08:28:00 AM
Too early to say crypto is dead this year, It's still early in the year. We don't know what will happen next month, next week, or may tomorrow. Let's wait and see what going to happen.  Wink
532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie Miner, What are the best coins to mine in 2018 and why? on: March 19, 2018, 07:53:17 AM
If there was a single best coin to mine, everyone would be mining it all the time.
Depends on your situation and what's available around you.
...
well, that makes sense
a friend of mine recommended mining ETH
6 AMD GPU generates hash power
is that correct?

Since you are in free electricity, that 6 GPU of course will give you profit, even, whatever device you are using, you still profit.

If I want to mine litecoin , which GPU do I need ? lets assume i bought 6 of them what else do I need? motherboard + Rams + power supply ....etc  ?

You can mine LTC with GPUs Rig, but you'll get nothing since LTC (srypt-based) has an ASIC Miner such as Antminer L series. If you plan to mine Litecoin, better to buy ASIC miner. ETH or another coins/Algorithm without ASIC miner on it, GPUs seems fine with your condition.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's the difference between an asic and someone with a mining farm of gpus? on: March 19, 2018, 07:34:19 AM
Asic will kill the amd cryptonight coins for sure

And It happens now.

Plus you have nice hash which is worse then an asic

Nicehash limited to rent time periods, and it's no big deal for miners with a physical device. Like mentioned above, Nicehash is an Hashrate marketplace only. Renter will rent the Hashrate for a short period, it because they will soon to know profit or loss they get.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia rig not recognizing cards help please on: March 19, 2018, 07:10:06 AM
Yea the keyboard works when I start the computer, I can't enter the bios by hitting f2 or del I had to dl the program the poster mentioned earlier to boot into the bios. They keyboard and mouse don't work in the bios but they do work if I just reboot and run the computer they work fine.

Have you tried keyboard only? without mouse connected I mean. Unplug all the devices, means only mobos powered by PSU with RAM and keyboard plugged. Use USB 2.0 port instead of 3.0 if possible.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Am I missing a lot? Nicehash vs me on: March 19, 2018, 06:22:39 AM
It seems you were playing in the safe zone. One year and you stick in Nicehash. All miners priority always the same, that is profit. But a lot of them do research, and you'll never know until you do it yourself. Asking in a forum would give you many inputs, may you get different input from each member. In the end, you need to decide.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a mobile phone mining rig on: March 19, 2018, 06:00:44 AM
i am mining electronuem on samsung s5 getting 4-6 h/s

The mining feature in Electroneum mobile app purely virtual mining, same as you playing simple games and get paid with some ETN.

In mining context, of course, you can't beat ASIC Miner such as Antminer X.3 or Baikal Giant-N, even you are lagging far from CPU miners.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MORE PROFITABLE MINING on: March 19, 2018, 05:38:40 AM
Profitability
Cloud mining. Usually only provide one coin in renting/purchasing plan. You have more free time and free from technical maintenance. Not to be troubled by picking hardware. But with stuck in one coin, you get less.

Self-mining. You can pick several different algorithms to mine, and of course, give you more chance to get more profits. But you will be troubled by several things. Choosing the hardware, build the rig (if you decide to GPU miner), Devices settings (both GPU or ASIC). Technical maintenance and troubleshoot.

Security
Whatever it is, Self-mining 95% secure cause you will manage it yourself. Cloud mining would give you more risk, they can scam you anytime but didn't mean all cloud mining would scamming you. I have personal experience with cex.io at first of 2014 until the middle of 2014. They have own mining pool called Ghash.io (one of the biggest Bitcoin pool at that time)
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does anyone have experience getting a mining frame/case from cryptomined.com? on: March 19, 2018, 05:01:03 AM
One member above has the same experience, let's wait and see. It's possible they build that case only when someone was ordering it (PO).

Interested too. Are the 3 x 3500 fans enough to cool 8 gpu’s?

With the right airflow direction, those fan's can handle all GPUs on the case. Basically, on closes case, heat generated by GPUs and other parts would be collected and will push by front fan's and drew by the rear fan's.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Right... Played with reg files, now Windoze won't boot... on: March 19, 2018, 04:35:39 AM
Guess I set GPU voltages too low. Or whatever. Anyway now Win10 will not start. What are my options?

Didn't boot when GPUs plugged? Means without GPUs on it your system worked?

Does not work over teamviewer. Would have to hook up monitor and keyboard... 😑

Means your system worked but with blank screen? Or you put your rig in somewhere else?
Just tried to make it clear. It seems people above have mentioned a good advice.
plug out all gpus, motherboard battery, turn your motherboard on wait few sec then turn it off and put the battery back, go to safe mode, uninstall gpu drivers, then turn off, plug your gpus go to safe mode to flash new bios or using normal mode

If cards bios switching worked, that's good. If it didn't work, seems you need to do a CMOS reset and unplug all of your cards (like mentioned above). Try to boot with one card only, you are using Onda D1800, so it more simple, cause you put all card directly to PCIe 16x on board. Will not affected by many cables on the rig such as miners that were using a Risers. If possible, use a small card just to test (if you have it). Clean the driver and tune-up utility (if you were installing it), turn off your rig. Try with only one Vega first, if it works, plug another Vega, one by one would be better.

3.7 Watt / MHs is good enough for your 1070, even more, if it's stable. NVIDIA was known as less tweak-friendly cards. I heard one of my friends do a physical tweak to its 1070Ti, something like jumper technic, but am not sure what it does and what the effect.
