521  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: October 24, 2015, 03:57:48 AM
I initially came to Bitcoin to promote my personal website, but soon realized that I need to get up-to-date with the current web technologies that exist out there. Now I come here for that odd free Bitcoin giveaway as well as to share with the project my current Bitcoin website projects I am developing.

It really depends on the type of poker game you are playing, who you are playing against and your skill level. I have heard even professional poker players like Chris Money Maker typically have anything or nothing, and always run the opportunity of going bankrupt.
523  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: October 24, 2015, 03:46:28 AM
BitGold I will admit has an interesting platform and I think it may offer new opportunities to investors. In time the value of Bitcoin will be realized and everyone investing in this currency will become rich.
524  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: October 23, 2015, 08:34:04 PM
Any site that gives far too much leverage to borrowers of funds is in my mind systematically flawed. Any site that does not provide any security whatsoever to the lender helps criminals steal money from honest people. I am building a site where collaterial is always required and the more liquidizeable the collaterial, the higher your user account trust rating goes. The website will be based on the CakePHP framework as well, adding strong security based on a framework that works.

Sounds cool. Not sure how you would require collateral though. Like what? Here, people use their accounts or other digital goods. Are you planning on doing something similar? IMO, one of the largely unsolvable issues is that most Borrower's don't have enough collateral to begin with, which probably fuels (in part) the asking for a loan. If you look at the loan section, most are for small amounts on here - Probably gambling. These BTCScam scums are just worse, they just run off and leave all their dox wide open.

PSA - If you have been ripped off by BTCScammers, see my signature. Tongue
As far as loans without collateral are concerned, I am thinking about programming in a loan bidding process where investors bid on loans without collateral. I do not have the details worked out, but I plan on basing the procedure from that of other social fiat lending sites.
525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: October 23, 2015, 08:27:14 PM
Bitcoin is an investment in itself with many various applications. Every-time you buy Bitcoin or accept it as payment, you are making an investment in the price of the coin. I keep saying it is a long term investment, however. I find it best used at the moment as a means to store currency. With gateway interfaces like Bitpay, we a able to differentiate Bitcoin as an investment and a currency.
526  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forums are full of scammers, spammers and tricksters on: October 22, 2015, 07:37:39 AM
I personally think your analysis of the problem is very real... The forum is full of scammers, and since freedom of speech is valued very high around here, not enough is being done to prevent them from scamming...

Your sollution, like Vod already pointed out, is not that good...
Wordpress is a blog software, and is not very secure (to say the least).
I run several wordpress blogs, and they get abused/hacked several times a year... Even if wordpress was a forum software, i would never recommand it for a forum as big as BCT.

I don't know what to say then really. Freedom of speech is important, but your right to freedom of speech does not give you the right to harm others. During an election, I can't tear down the signs of the candidate I do not like from the lawns of others. I could be imprisoned under the Elections Act. Lying and scamming is wrong.
527  Economy / Economics / Re: Making a living online (recreate) on: October 22, 2015, 07:28:49 AM

I might want to teach myself some new coding languages and code some bots from these games. Friends of mine in real life have talked about selling botted WoW accounts. Anyone who has that kind of skill and has already shelled out for a high performance gaming rig could make a killing
528  Economy / Currency exchange / Want to buy bitcoin via Interac e-transfer. on: October 22, 2015, 07:21:49 AM
So since I do not trust PayPal whatsoever when it comes to Bitcoin, I am looking for someone located in Canada who is able to accept an e-transfer from me in exchange for Bitcoin. I am only interested in doing business with you if you have a good trust rating. If you have a neutral trust level, I may not want to do the exchange with you. If you are still wanting to sell me $45 CAD worth of Bitcoin and won't do a reverse transaction on me I would be happy with that,
529  Economy / Economics / Making a living online (recreate) on: October 22, 2015, 07:06:06 AM
I am trying this thread over again. In the previous thread that I created, I was trying to provoke a thoughtful and meaningful discussion about the various ways of making money on the internet. While I will to admit to writing bots in VB.NET for Swagbucks years ago, I think it's pretty uncool to bot a thread and forum not making money inherently in itself as Swagbucks does, and I think it is a bit unethical to spam or bot the little man. Even Robin Hood didn't steal from the poor.

That being said, I am starting this over again. What are some reliable legitimate, proven ways of earning an income online? My answer to this question would be: if you know how to code, at the end of the day you can be your own boss. Anybody who is a hobbist computer programmer has the potential to get hired for paid work. At the end of the day if you have a talent that is needed you will make money. Why do you think online marketing is such a big industry? Those who are good get hired to promote others websites.

If you are talent-less, there are always signature campaigns, filling out surveys, doing captchas, installing junk on your phone and faucets. That being said, it would be wise to combine all of the above to make a stream of extra income online. For those with low income, you might be able to get by with your low income benefits as well as the combined income of the previously mentioned methods, but don't think you can get by.

And if you're going to spam this thread again, upload the source of your bot to http://www.github.com and, if you have the wit to do it, I will give you a job to test the security of my lending project! All you have to do is realize that it's pointless using your coding skills in that way and if you think for a quick second - not like a computer, but a human being, the social consequences of spamming the fuck out of the same thread and raping the shit out of this forum with signature campaigns isn't cool, and it limits opportunity to the rest of us who could definitely use the extra income from signature campaigns.
530  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forums are full of scammers, spammers and tricksters on: October 22, 2015, 06:35:53 AM
You must be pertaining to the League of Spammers who goes by the names of LoL characters and just spam with the same context in their posts and comments consecutively in a single thread? I think it is a bot doing these kind of posts as the interval between posts is just under a minute or two. As for scammers, it is normal in a place where money is involved.
Yes I am. I had to close that thread.
I think the only solution is when you open a thread, make it self moderated this way you will see already that those posters or rather spammers will avoid posting there mainly due to the chance of getting their posts deleted ... ( I've been here 18 days, 4 hours and 21 minutes as time of typing this ) And as to the scammers, the only way is to be careful enough so you won't get tricked by their plans and there are many which is hard to control them ....By the way what makes you think a WordPress based site could help in this matter? I don't get it
WordPress has a plugin, bbPress which enabled a threaded based forum which in my experience is better than what SMF has to offer. In addition, it is easy to develop different WordPress modules which would handle things like lending, buying and selling. What I am saying is this forum's inherent open nature gives too many people the opportunity to scam and there are more than enough developers to mod WordPress to get a custom Bitcoin oriented community forum.
531  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Trustless Lending - an alternative to BTCJam on: October 22, 2015, 06:11:18 AM
Nice to see if there are lending site with have secure system for lender-party, like guys above me said, the collateral is equal as amount which want to borrow, and use a trusted escrow.

Anyway how about the interest? It's like lending system in this forum? where people want to borrow some amount and offer a % interest, and If you interested, you can make a deal?

I'm in the works of finalizing the entire site process but basically a user can currently register on the site and deposit some funds to invest into the site. The lenders submit their request for loans to the website and offer collaterial that is greater than the funds being borrowed. The lender would pay a fee for using the site as well as interest paid to the user funding the loan. I am considering implementing a fee for investors making large amounts of money. It will be a lot like this forum.
532  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: October 22, 2015, 02:03:57 AM
This is my first post. Please do respect

My post intention is to help readers to save their money.

Some of the employee are not saving their money. They spend it on things that they dont need. For example gadgets, buying a concert ticket, accesories, etc.Buying things that not they need is also like a wasting money. Because this thing give a happiness  not a good life. Saving money is just like securing your future because your savings can help you in emergencies. These are the way to save money .
If you are empolyee. You must save atleast 20% of your salary. The 20% of your salary divides into two .

The 1st way : cash reserves- medical insurance, retirement, life insurance  and if you not have salary yet. And emergency. But dont spend all of you 10% in this emergency. You must know if the injury is serious o not before you spend the 10%.
The cash reserves must equal of your 6 months salary this will help you and ensure you becauas of you loss your job you have extra money .

The 2nd way : investment, business- you can invest in some company so that you have a extra income. And you can also built a small business that will always have an income like apartment.

Example. My wage is $ 7.5 per hour and i work for 8 hours and i work for 20 days. So thar my salary is $1,160 . The 20% of $1,160 is $232 .
So that my cash reserves is $ 116 i can spend this money in emergencies and medical insurance.
If my 6 month salary is $6,960 i can stop my saving money in cash reserves.

Thank you .

To save money is to stop buying unnecessary things and be a wise buyer. That is one way of saving money.
What would really make you money is if you upload your bot to GitHub and let all of us potential coding employers examine how exactly you managed to spam this forum with your useless bot postings.
533  Other / Meta / Bitcointalk forums are full of scammers, spammers and tricksters on: October 22, 2015, 01:28:07 AM
Well, I have been spending a lot of time on these forums (my stats report I have been logged in for over four days). One thing I can say is openness always leads to the possibly of being fucked over. I've seen it time and time again not only in the lending section, but even in a popular thread I had to close due to there being little discussion and the implementation of a spam bot being used to make the sock puppeteer a passive income spamming the forum.

If I were the spammer, I would only make such a bot to show employers on this forum my programming skills. People who do this in my opinion have very little social skills and in my opinion have to have a  severe case of Asperger Syndrome to not put his programming skills to use. Think about it: they don't have the confidence to put themselves out there on the internet and use their coding skills for good use.

I think it may be time to upgrade this site to a WordPress based site. That way, people won't abuse the system and spam, and a more friendly atmosphere can be fostered here and people are more productive here.

(PS: Just for the record, I have autism myself. I am not trying to attack people with Asperger Syndrome)
534  Economy / Economics / Re: What you will do if bitcoin price drops to 50$ and you have lots of bitcoin on: October 22, 2015, 01:17:57 AM
and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

If the price keeps dropping and I have lots of them, I would not wait until it reaches 50$.  I will sell them while it has not reached 50$.
and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

If bitcoin drops to 50$, it is a clear sign that bitcoin is going to die.  If I have lots of them, I will sell them.

and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

I would keep my bitcoins and sell it someday when I find a very reasonable price.

and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

I would buy a lot of coins and keep it wait for a reasonable price to come and I will sell my coins away.

and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

I will keep it and wait for the right price to come and when the right price come I will still keep it. It is actually worth collecting.
and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

If the bitcoin price drop and I have a lot of coins I would buy some more to add on the coins I have collected I don't think it will happen this year.
and do you think that will happen in 2015 ?

If the bitcoin price drop and I have a lot of coins I would buy some more to add on the coins I have collected I don't think it will happen this year.

Stop spamming this forum with your BitMixer signature campaign. I will contact your sig campaign manager and have all of your accounts removed.
535  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: October 22, 2015, 01:13:24 AM
IF YOU ARE A WOMAN:

1) Get yourself look hot, and prepare yourself to look the best in your life
2) Find a secretary job where you got a horny male boss, preferably single and under 40
3) Doesnt matter if you dont know the job, he will just hire you for your looks
4) Flirt with him, and have sex with him
5) Be very kind and gentle with him, make him food ,and make him see that you are reliable to him
6) Make him marry you
7) Wait the mandatory 5-6 years of marriage before you can proceed (but make sure you spend the most of his credit card as possible in the meantime)
8] Divorce him and steal half of his money and property, legally, through the divorce theft system
9) Repeat

IF YOU ARE A MAN:

Sorry you are fucked, better invent something useful to society.

Thank's man Smiley
you are fucked too because you are a 'man"  Tongue

i think all woman can't do it, how about "love" at making love ?
people get married because LOVE and how to repeat it if he get bad reputation after divorce  Grin Grin Grin

Yes not all women can't do it cuz some women were rich enough to don't do that "method" Grin And love was rare nowadays, everything now can be bought by money, even love Cheesy Sad but that's the truth.
Well, one thing I can tell you is I am a guy and I find your post very offensive and derogatory towards women. I know a lot of hard working beautiful women who bend over backwards to do their best in their field. Even those women that are secretaries still have a job. All the secretaries I have known were very knowledgeable of their business or service. Even I was a male sectary and I can tell you, I know a lot about running a marijuana dispensary, and got a good salary.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: October 22, 2015, 12:44:22 AM
It isn't exactly true that everyone loses in the long run.  The correct phrasing would be, most people lose in the long run due to probability and stats.  There are always a few lucky people who bend that rule though.

This is exactly why I wrote my post, please read it. No one can bend the rules. We are talking about casino games with house edge of course. Some other games, like sports betting, poker, prediction ones, they require certain skill and research (although you generally lose there too). But at least in those, in theory, you are the one choosing based on facts or just plain knowledge.

If you find poker games with zero rake or 100% rakeback it probably isnt even right to call it gambling, a very average player could beat a game like that in the long run.  Its hard to find games with no rake/100% rakeback but for example on a site like stars the FPP games are a no rake game with plenty of players.

Where would you find those? Or do you mean that the odds are 100% to players just like it is for instance with Poker, where if you play at your friends place instead of a casino, you get 100% of the deposit.

I think he means in a real life casino not online. The rules are completely different between the two mediums.
I was talking gambling in general and online, a combination of the two. What I have to say about cryptcurreincies and gambling though is that it has brought us the edge that was talked about a few posts ago. We have not experienced that before. Provably fair still does not mean you always win, it means you only win 50% of the time.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to make a living online? on: October 22, 2015, 12:34:29 AM
Well, I was intending for this thread to be used for productive purposes, but since spammers have tried to hijack this thread for sig campaign spamming (which for the spammers credit answers my question) but since people would rather spam instead of think I'm closing this thread.

My best advice: Find a talent that suits you and work on it. If you really want to make money online, look into marketing or programming. Go to a polytechnic school and learn web design or computer programming. Develop more hobbies and hobbies become jobs.

(If anyone thinks I closed the thread unfairly, let me know by PM).
538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and Paypal on: October 22, 2015, 12:28:04 AM
At the moment, I do not feel comfortable exchanging Bitcoins for PayPal since any dispute always is decided in the buyers favor. Henceforth, it becomes difficult to find sellers here in this forum and even Bitcoinexchange. I tend to find an e-transfer interact deal on localbitcoin.com when I need to do an exchange, but even then it is reverse-able and you have to trust the person you're selling to.
539  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Trustless Lending - an alternative to BTCJam on: October 22, 2015, 12:22:12 AM
I meant to have a rough website up and running for you guys to see what I currently have but Cake does not sit with shared hosts. I will hopefully have it up in a couple of hours, running on a cloudserver.
540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: October 18, 2015, 11:52:25 PM
I have not earned any Bitcoin today, but I got a PM looking to hire me as a coder. I have found on this forum if you know how to code the opportunities as a coder are endless.
