Thanks for the info. But we don't really need another forum until it has something innovative.Regardless the fact that they hired posters to post in their forum;take a look at the News and Discussion section.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dot.bitcoin or dot.btc TLD on: September 29, 2015, 07:05:16 PM
I prefer dot.btc because it's simple. I think bitcoin TLD isn't a good idea because many governments banned bitcoin, so any of TLD about bitcoin will be added to block list Sad.

I'm pretty sure OP's application, if serious, for a bitcoin gTLD would be rejected, if it gets this far, it would, probably, stop here:

3.2.1 Grounds for Objection

Legal Rights Objection – The applied-for gTLD string
infringes the existing legal rights of the objector.

Community Objection – There is substantial opposition to
the gTLD application from a significant portion of the
community to which the gTLD string may be explicitly or
implicitly targeted.

Regarding the Legal Rights Objection : .xxx domain has been introduced in the www even though pornography is illegal in many countries of the world. I don't think bitcoin has been mass opposed by world's governments. There exist certain regulations in some countries and banned in a very few countries. But in most of them the status of bitcoin is yet unknown.
523  Other / Off-topic / It's official: North America is out of new IPv4 addresses on: September 27, 2015, 10:37:16 AM
ARIN has assigned the last of its free pool of fresh IPv4 addresses.

North America has finally run out of new addresses based on IPv4, the numbering system that got the Internet where it is today but which is running out of space for the coming era of networking.

The American Registry for Internet Numbers, the nonprofit group that distributes Internet addresses for the region, said Thursday it has assigned the last addresses in its free pool. The announcement came after years of warnings from ARIN and others that IPv4 addresses were running out and that enterprises and carriers should adopt the next protocol, IPv6.

IPv4 dates back to 1981 and only has room for 4.3 billion unique addresses. IPv6, introduced in 1999, should have enough addresses to serve Internet users for generations, according to ARIN.

Anyone who still needs IPv4 addresses can request them from ARIN, but the organization won't have any to give away unless it gets more from the global Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) or returned addresses from users who don't need them anymore. ARIN already runs a waiting list for requests, which it set up earlier this year.

Users can also buy IPv4 addresses on the so-called transfer market from others who don't need them and are looking to make some money. Addresses recently were going for around US$10-$12 each, according to people who follow the transfer market.

More North American addresses may go on the market now that ARIN has exhausted its pool of fresh ones. That event triggered a change in the organization's rules for approving transfers: There is no longer any restriction on how often an address holder can request transfers to specified recipients.

Internet Protocol addresses come from IANA and are distributed through ARIN and other regional Internet registries (RIRs) around the world. Other RIRs are also running low on IPv4 addresses.

Migration from IPv4 to IPv6 can cause headaches for some types of organizations, and there is a chicken-and-egg problem as some content providers wait for consumers to start using the newer protocol. But big carriers and Internet players including Facebook and Google have helped to make IPv6 more common.

And it is not credited back into my account.Where did it go? Can I get those coins back?

When a transaction has disappeared from the unconfirmed mempool, the transaction is "cancelled".

Blockchain.info is a service, is a service, is a service, is a service and - repeat with me - not the blockchain[1]. Whatever they claim about a transaction may or may not have anything to do with the rest of the network. More often than not the information they display is in contrast to the rest of the network and I would always check with at least one different blockchain explorer.

-> https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/33d7f0de4826a24d18fcc81e799960812df3e47d104f6ef66534249b240605ce

The TX was in double spend a day after it was issued -> https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/a0527492e033153e823b99577e0bcc6a58d9111771916fae0c8fefa90e0a4b05

which caused it to be "cancelled".

So the coins has never left your address/wallet.

Since the double spend TX has >1700 confirmations I think we are safe to say that the coins left OPs wallet.

Your wallet client still thinks the transaction is pending confirmation and deduced the sent coins from your balance. What you need to tell your client to "forget" the transaction and refresh the balance.

Which wallet/client do you use?

Good question.

[1] Sorry for know it all post, but if you rely on bc.i you will eventually make bad decision because you have incomplete information.

so i lost them bcoz i used blockchain.info a a service?
528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / can i get this back? on: September 26, 2015, 08:48:32 AM
I initiated a bitcoin transaction with zero fees.It was successfully pushed in the blockchain but did't get confirmed. After, few days I saw the transaction status as :
Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been pruned from our database.

529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dot.bitcoin or dot.btc TLD on: September 26, 2015, 06:40:05 AM
My choice is .btc, though, I'm curious for the reason as to why you'd like to create a new TLD regarding Bitcoin.

I have handful of reasons :
1.Creating a new TLD gives a name standard for all websites whose services is related to bitcoin or the blockchain.
2.The .COM boom has impacted many domains bought only with the purpose of trading them at a higher price later. This raises the initial cost of purchasing a suitable commercial domain.
3.New TLD creates more awareness among the internet users around the globe.
530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / dot.bitcoin or dot.btc TLD on: September 26, 2015, 04:59:11 AM
I'm planning to bring new Top Level Domain for bitcoin into the net.Which TLD would you opt for? Please select a choice.Based upon the vote,I would select the most preferable option. Also kindly write what do you think about the idea?
531  Other / Meta / Re: Why bitcointalk.org Looks so Bad on: September 26, 2015, 04:37:21 AM
I believe a new forum must have a thing from the blockchain may be a blockchain verification so that it is not hacked so easily as this forum has been twice in count.
532  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Anyone know of a good mobile verification site? on: September 26, 2015, 04:33:04 AM
yeah, these doesn't work with hotmail. You have to buy mobile verification from people here.

534  Other / Meta / Re: Why bitcointalk.org Looks so Bad on: September 23, 2015, 06:18:30 PM
A new forum is being built which also looks better than the current theme. I believe Theymos doesn't use other themes because they might mess with the code changes that he has made in SMF for this forum.

Does anyone know when and how this new forum will be implemented or have any more info about it? Thanks!

I don't think any such new forum is being built. Its just rumuor that just went off.
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud mining Advise on: September 23, 2015, 05:58:52 PM
Recently I have invested with a cloud mining : Ethcloud. They're still to be launched publicly.

I HIGHLY recommend not signing up with a brand new mining service.  There is no history or anything to judge them on.

Also if you pre-paid for a cloud service that is also bad.  Do not pre-pay before they have even launched a product.

I just invested $1 with them.So that's not much to worry about Smiley

I am thinking of cloud mining to save me the hassle of the equipment and all.  Is this a good choice?  If it is what would you recommend and where should I start?  I have seen many threads in here about it, but it is hard to tell which is good and which is a bad idea to listen to.  The only mine I seen is .001 per Gh if you buy 20k GH.  Now are these charges for the entire contract or just for the month?  It is so confusing.  Thank you in advance for the help.

I think its a good choice. Running actual mining gear and paying all the bills that comes with it is too much hassle for me.

I second on that.

538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is it to invest in Ethereum cloud mining? on: September 23, 2015, 07:03:41 AM
It is very hard to ROI on these packages. Unless you need a R9 280X soon, that might be a good offer if you want to hold off and gain the income for a while. (If you trust that it will get delivered..).

THE ROI in
1st package is roughly 23 days --- sounds a good affair
2nd package is 227 days ------- not good but is unlimited
3rd package is 0 days ------ best.Since i wud already own a gpu card

I'm thinking between 1st and 3rd package.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How good is it to invest in Ethereum cloud mining? on: September 23, 2015, 05:11:11 AM
After a bit of conversation with the owner of Ethcloud in here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1186466.0 It seems that the business model posted is quite profitable. All three of their packages has some or the other benefits specially the $1 one and the gpu.Looking forward to hear your views on this before I can take a decision regarding investing with them.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ETHCLOUD.INFO | Ethereum cloud mining service on: September 22, 2015, 02:50:54 PM
I see the gpu package ie already ROI is priced at $200.Does it mean that with the package we would get the mining profit with the hardware as well as the hardware whenever we wish for?
