256 MB is selling for 30 bucks, these are 512 MB, not bad..

No they're not...

Well, unless you grabbed the one 256MB card from the box for that pic and the rest are 512?

Ah man, there's me thinking I was gonna push up the difficulty a bit  Grin

Ebay it is!!

The whole case for a few bucks??!! LOL  Smiley

AGP?

well, you can ebay the whole thing for a few bucks.

A bit hyperbolic but yeah. What you've got there is a case of Nvidia Geforce fx5700LE AGP 8x 256MB graphics cards - or in layman's terms "a crappier video card than what comes stock with a Dell laptop."

If it mines at all (which it probably won't) it won't push out enough hashrate to be worth the power or the time spent setting it up. Oh and they ebay for $15-$30 each, though I'd imagine there's not a huge target market for old AGP 8x cards so it would probably take ages to sell them all off.

Sorry!

How many Mh would I get?  Tongue

Does anyone know what I would need, is it even possible?

Bitcoin makes me feel liberated and thats why I like it. I hope it will survive, its just hard to imagine so with all the rich and powerful people out there. I dont think they would like such a thing as Bitcoin as it liberates people instead of enslaving them.
I think this is my fear and thats why I saw such a dream. Just wanted to get your thoughts on the future of the currency.

OMG Now bitcoin is taking over your dreams?

Obsession?  Cheesy
528  Economy / Speculation / I had a dream where bitcoin price dropped to 4 usd! on: October 05, 2012, 07:13:02 AM
Now as I know believing a dream is not so rational. What do you think the chances are of this happening? Where do you see the exchange rate heading?
529  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Your Electricity Cost per Kwh (Which country is the Most Expensive) on: October 05, 2012, 07:06:09 AM
0.21 USD for the first 217 Kw per month
10% charge increase per 217 Kw

Cheaper if you are a business

How about an encrypted usb drive with a bitcoin wallet.. It would be bootable and runs with its own os.

Is it possible?
532  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkey strikes Syrian positions, NATO approves, claims retaliation on: October 04, 2012, 04:31:36 PM
Turkey retaliated after a Mortar shell landed on a home in Turkey. The explosion killed a mother and 4 of her children including their neighbour, also injured about 8 people. This is not the first time Syrian violence has spread over boarders. Turkey is beefing up their borders and they have just passed approval through parliament for use of force. Iran has threatened they would get involved.

Sorry, did you mean that what I wrote is science fiction?

I once had a dream, a dream where us humans were in outer space building a mind. A mind that contained all knowledge and all possibilities. We were building an omnipotent being, a god. Maybe we never came from god, we came to build god. We may just as well succeed . Succeed in making our own god.

I wonder if you know how close this is from some hard science fiction concepts.
536  Other / Off-topic / Re: The function of religion ? on: October 02, 2012, 09:26:27 PM
As for the function of religion....

We as humans choose to believe in what we believe for one reason or another. We may believe that our beliefs are based on cold hard facts and we may even find others who believe in what we believe. And even though 99% of people may be on our side, we can always give the 1% the benefit of the doubt and respect their beliefs and choices. Because we as humans know very well that if we were to be 100% about everything then we would have nothing.

Im grateful and thankful to everyone for sharing and believing.

Pls keep it friendly Wink

In our small little minds and barely significant existence you being 99% right may mean something to you and everyone else in the world but it does not even mean a grain of dust in all the deserts of the world. It is insignificant to the Universe. And no matter how clever we think we are the Universe will find a way to prove us otherwise. The only word that comes close, if there were such a word to describe this, is the word mystery.

Even if everyone in the world agreed with you it still makes you just as right as I am, no more. You may call me insane or any other word you can conjure up, and I will still have my own opinion.

OK, then tell me why? Why does one of my opinions, based on evidence, and corroborated by everyone else in the world, is just as right as your differing opinion, even if it was not based on evidence and only you believed it?

Even if everyone in the world agreed with you it still makes you just as right as I am, no more. You may call me insane or any other word you can conjure up, and I will still have my own opinion. For me what is important is, that I respect yours and wish you well.

You are right ONLY if you have your own personal definition of proof that is not generally accepted by the rest of society, or if you are insane.

You may be right 99% of the time, that still does not make your proof any better than anyone else's..

Your proof is just as good as mine..

If I put down two sticks on the ground, then next to them put down two more sticks, and that way prove to you that 2+2=4, which you can see, feel, and if you listen to the clacks of the sticks as they hit the ground, hear, that is my "good" proof that 2+2=4. If you claim that it's not 4, you better have a damn good proof, and saying "it is in my opinion that 2+2 does not make 4" is not as good a proof as mine. Continuing to claim so will make you seem deluded, and will make your statements irrelevant. Facts don't care about your opinions.
