BS but based in real facts.
522  Economy / Exchanges / Re: www.BITSTAMP.net Bitcoin exchange site for USD/BTC on: February 24, 2014, 11:53:54 PM
This man agree with me:

Joseph Borg, state securities administrator in Alabama and a past president of the North American State Securities Administrators Association.

Borg has been involved in a wide range of high-profile cases in his 20 years on the Alabama Securities Commission perhaps most notably pushing for the formation of the multi-state task force that ultimately shut down Stratton Oakmont, the investment firm that was the basis for the recent movie “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

“Dealing with these exchanges should be no different than dealing with your bank or your financial institution,” Borg said,

523  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: BTC na China on: February 24, 2014, 09:07:31 PM
Os China vão dominar o mundo!
E o Brasil, pra variar sempre atrasado...

524  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Problema do Mercado Bitcoin on: February 24, 2014, 07:21:39 PM
E ele não pagou até hoje? Quantos "sumiram"?

525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E split from: BITCOIN NEWS EVRYDAY! From multiple sources. on: February 24, 2014, 05:04:17 PM
I'm confused, you dont get your coins taken if your account is banned. I held the record for the most bans on BTC-E at one point or another, its just a chat ban, you can still trade. I've also had an account deleted from BTC-E, that was after I requested them to delete it, and they asked me for a Bitcoin address to send the remainder of my funds to.

They are indeed anonymous, but what sort of legal protections do you think you would have if they ran off and you filed a police report against some people running an exchange out of Bulgaria?

No police.
You hire a lawyer, judge orders to seek their money or properties to pay you. That's it but it has a cost.
526  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: URGENT NEWS - MtGox has shut down! on: February 24, 2014, 05:01:21 PM
So on  t h e  c o n t r a r y : The disappearance of Mt Gox will be very good for Bitcoin!

For folks who have experienced poor dealings with them, sure, it will be a "good" thing that they no longer "have" to deal with Gox....

The problem is that Gox is one of largest BTC markets out there, and whether we like them or not, the outside world that we're trying to bring into the bitcoin fold is looking in seeing that this HUGE player is tanking and may have just lost millions of dollars worth of people's investments.  This casts a negative light on Bitcoin as a whole and will hinder mass adoption, if not destroy its possibility entirely.

here in Western Europe ( Holland Germany) we alle work via bitcoin.de: Pick up the bitcoins you like and pay then to the seller.
The site keeps track if money/bitcoins have arrived. This is the real future I think.

Is it just like localbitcoins?
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the creator of the bitcoin??? on: February 24, 2014, 04:56:58 PM
I believe it is Nick Szabo, all the evidence avilable would be enough to recognize it on a court.
528  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC crashed as predicted, will crash again and stay at 100 on: February 24, 2014, 04:45:58 PM
OP makes sense. I also believe it will go down to around USD$100 but i did not make any deep analysis, i believe so just 'cause there was absolutely no legit explanation for the rise past 100. And 100 was a stable value for several months.

A $7.2 billion market cap is still peanuts, there's really nowhere for the price to go but up in the medium-long term.

When the price was $100, the $1.2 billion market cap for revolutionary technology was a joke.  We'll never see an average of $100 per coin ever again.

OP is spreading FUD to try to push the price lower and buy up some cheap coins.

1.2 or 7.2 coming from about the same bank accounts does not make any difference.
529  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC crashed as predicted, will crash again and stay at 100 on: February 24, 2014, 04:40:42 PM
There is always lots of defensive people when someone talks about price drops, accusations of FUD etc. Speculation on rises never get any bad comments. I know some people bought at high and so have such reaction but a big price drop is benefical to everyone at this stage, more people can join, at the current values it is very risky or even financially prohibitive for most to join. Bitcoin is a small community that needs to grow.
530  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E split from: BITCOIN NEWS EVRYDAY! From multiple sources. on: February 24, 2014, 04:01:57 PM
You are completely wrong, and people like you who makes the serial scamming possible. If one lost money for a non anonymous company it is just 'cause they thought it was not worth to take legal action, only one can help oneself in such cases. As people do nothing, they keep scamming.

Not being anonymous is the first, most elementar, requirement to trust someone.

Only thing i can agree with you is that we have no trustable exchange. Some are worse than others thought.

The owners are anonymous, nobody should put money there even if no scam had occurred. Cause when it happens you have nobody to go after, they are compeltely anonymous. People must be crazy to use their service.

Implying that not being anonymous protects people from losing their money. Wasn't the case with bitinstant and won't be the case with MtGox either if it goes down. If people knew they had a chance to get anything out of gox, they would all haste to sue them.

The only thing you can trust in, is if the service had a long history of being secure and fulfilling it's obligations. With Gox this was almost never the case in the last few months. Bitstamp also did some strange maneuvers with withdrawals not being possible for weeks without ANY public information to people fearing for their funds. Also, there were strange service outages very often in times of BTC tanking/shooting up. Could be ddos but could also be deliberate manipulation.

None of that happened with btc-e so far, and i was able to deposit/withdraw and cash out without issues in the past. That does not mean i trust btc-e. It just means i trust them more than any of the above mentioned services.

As for the OP. I am pretty sure he is part of the smear campaign against btc-e that has been running for quite some time now. Including the hackers that got hold of a website to spread FUD

Quote from:
In February 2014, the website of the Russian Volgograd region's Prosecutor’s Office announced that BTC-e was under investigation, which CoinDesk reported generated “fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD).”[6] The office later issued a statement saying that its website had been hacked, and that hackers had posted the announcement.[6]

there are also many fraudsters in btc-e chat, which post links to malware, them getting their account shut and funds confiscated (you have to have at least $100 to chat).

Unless OP can give more details on what actually happened, btc-e could reply to, i fear he is part of a smear campaign i see unfolding since quite some time now, which his name also implies. (not being of some long term user with some history)

532  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I get an early notice if Mtgox goes bankruptcy? on: February 24, 2014, 03:01:31 PM
bankruptcy is a legal process that anyone who has a non paid credit with the company may start, it is not like mtgox will declare itself bankrupt
533  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: URGENT NEWS - MtGox has shut down! on: February 24, 2014, 02:59:31 PM
where are all the sensitive people saying your title is misleading? lol
534  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGox deletes all tweets from their twitter feed on: February 24, 2014, 02:58:16 PM

https://twitter.com/MtGox
what does this mean?

next its their facebook, standard action before run off

so mark is destroying evidence?

kind of, but he is native cause he won't get away from it

this isn't going to have a happy ending.  Lips sealed

bring him to justice and punishment

in japan.... do they still chop peoples hands off with samurai sword for stealing?

depends on who are you stealing from, if you steal $$$ from Yakuza Mob or some one well connected to Yakuza Mob, then anything
bloody can happen even death could be a wish

There are some large bitcoin holders at gox. I hope Mark realises he is playing with fire.

i would not bet 1 satoshi that he would stay alive for long
536  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some fresh CONFIRMED transactions on GOX stream on: February 24, 2014, 01:14:52 PM

537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox CEO confess(in other words) to be bankrupt / insolvent on: February 24, 2014, 05:17:17 AM
Calm down mate, My title is perfectly correct by commom sense but regardless of what you think my thread is just my opinion, i'm not CNN or Fox News.

it is the most important piece of information regarding Mt. Gox situation
It isn't useful information at all, it's an outright lie, because Karpeles has not confessed that MtGox is insolvent!

It's shocking that this has to be explained to someone that I assume is a grown adult. You can't just make shit up and expect to come out of it with your reputation intact!

The only verified statement that you can make so far would be something more like:

Quote
MtGox CEO refuses to confirm solvency

Which is not at all the same thing as your current title!

If you then want to speculate that this means MtGox is insolvent, great! Join the many others doing so over the last week! I have an opinion on that as well! But all you and I have is an opinion.

Do the right thing and correct your thread title.

Bitstamp sell order at $579.34     for 9109 BTC   Total: $5,277,325.37

Smells like MtGox
539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox CEO resigns from Bitcoin Foundation on: February 24, 2014, 04:34:49 AM
Good news but watch GoxCoin price down to usd$0.01
540  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC crashed as predicted, will crash again and stay at 100 on: February 24, 2014, 03:14:57 AM
Explain your prediction? MtGox related data does not explain anything 'cause they are in another dimension.
MtGox volume and assets (claimed by clients) is still a very huge part of all bitcoin exchanges.
We cant dismiss the MtGox price as an isolated price, it will affect other exchanges as well since the price in sharp negative trend on all exchanges.

Imagine early adaptors rushing for the exit, Im not even thinking about Satoshi who owns more than 1 million coins, but early miners and guys like the stupid fat hobbit Karpeles. Even if they just sell 20% of their holdings it will push down the price towards 80-100 and keep it there for months.

Forgive-me, i stopped reading once i saw mtgox written in it, but i see those graphs are before the mess which is completely valid and reflects the market.
