521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: February 26, 2024, 01:37:06 PM
Someone who trades with 40 pairs doesn't really guarantee more success over someone who trades only 3 pairs, it's more about finding the right one. I think people are putting too much emphasis on silly stuff and forget that they should do something that will benefit them while also making them feel comfortable, if you are dealing with more than you can, that would not be easy at all.
Keeping the portfolio small has its advantage and in crypto this is even more applicable. Because the only few coins worth investing for the long term are bitcoin and a few of the altcoins, this is apt.

However going in more shitcoins as they come out of their shit-projects, people will be trading them day and night and only hurt their own health in the long run without any significant profits.

Therefore trade in limits and dont trade just because you have nothing to do with your coins. Have a goal and trade accordingly.

523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 25, 2024, 09:58:07 AM
Many have turned away from jobs because they believe that gambling can sustain them, but only to find out the hardest way, gambling is so unreliable when it comes to finances, it's the wrong tool for fixing your broke problem.
Sad to hear that. We learn about proverbs when we are doing our primary education and eventually use them at times where is seems clear. But we must not forget their situational use and that they are not applicable to every condition out there.

Some swindlers with hidden interests will attempt to manipulate you via such proverbs to force you to gamble. One must identify such people and ignore them or turn their back on them.

Whatever one says, the casinos will run for the long term, the players are temporary there.
524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Believe, "Passive Investors Make More Than Active Investors?" on: February 25, 2024, 09:55:15 AM
Do a primary job to fulfil the daily demands and pay the bills and passively invest some money on cryptos.
The safety net, indeed I encourage members to consolidate the safety of their own job first before investing or trading. With a job successfully at hand their mental state is stable and they can  budget their spending including their investments. Without the job a lot of this is not possible.

Quote
A professional trader on the other hand has huge responsibilities. He has to take more risk and stress while trading. Hence for this reason, passive traders make more money.
Day trading mostly has the max stress and risk associated, which can be avoided by limiting yourself to long term trading only. Bitcoin is built for long term trading in my opinion and altcoins are for day trading except a few of the top 10.

So its not whether one makes better than another, it is also the state they can be healthy and consistent in.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 25, 2024, 09:46:32 AM
Indeed there are women in gambling too, but do we really need another gender centered debate?

Honestly speaking, I dont mind women gambling - its their money and its their choice to decide how to spend that money. But if you ask my opinion, men or women, people should gamble for fun and not for making money, if it is becoming an addiction they need to stop and rethink their life decisions.

Most of the women you will end up seeing are the same as men who promote gambling as "influencing" and hence they are being paid for promotions. Dont be a fool to follow their steps, its all a set up to lure you into gambling in a broader perspective.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: February 25, 2024, 09:41:55 AM
This is a fact that a lot of people have failed to put into consideration. If a person is struggling to pay their bills or meet their basic needs, then gambling isn't the best option for them, I know for some reason, gambling might look like the best way to multiply your money and then use it to pay off your outstanding bills. But this is the worse lie anyone can ever tell you, sometimes we even tell ourselves this lie, please whenever you feel that way, get rid of the thought else you might end up worsening your current situation by incurring more debts for yourself.
Gambling seems to give broken people a false hope which is normal in their mindset when they are not thinking straight and logically. While someone might play more and lose even more, others might be able to control their wrong mindset and actually survive out of the hellhole they are in and come out a wise man.

It all how we face the lives, bad ways of living tend to come in when times are bad and these need to tackled carefully with a strict mindset. Its tough but getting over the temptation of gambling to make money is possible.

I have seen both types of people from casino chat boxes and in real life. Good things are possible and that hope should never die that something better is waiting for us, we should be careful about the risks we take.
527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 25, 2024, 09:29:54 AM
I am myself yet to find one that is so legit as you speak, and I am sure I will never find one.

Here you go :
https://pool.binance.com/en/cloud
or
https://www.bitdeer.com/cloud-mining/cloud-hashrate/btc
(bitdeer is owned by bitmain).

The only problem is that with both at current prices you're at serious risk at losing money.!
Contracts on Binance are sold out, so no point lingering over there anymore. Bitdeer might be an option for the OP, but indeed at a risk of losing money.

I still stand with my original line of that there is not such thing as a legitimate cloud mining operation. Maybe I would add the word profitable in that too. I do find it easier to buy bitcoin at the low and sell it at the high as the more "Not your Keys Not your coins" approach and profitable too.
528  Local / India / Re: Suggestion! Access Banned International Exchanges with VPNs that Accepts Crypto. on: February 24, 2024, 02:19:33 PM
I doubt they will interested in checking VPN activities.
Maybe not yet, but you have to remember that even mixers get seized and although we are not in the level that FBI is going to investigate, we might reach to that level in the coming years.

I expect the upcoming budget to make things a big clear about cryptocurrencies, apart from other things. This shadow ban is distressing for many and the current bullish move could not be taken advantage of by many due to such suddenly applied restrictions.
529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 24, 2024, 02:14:56 PM
So your friends are being secretive about their gambling "hustles" and dont want you to know?

That and pre-existing mental health problems dont go good together and indeed are a recipe for disaster. As a friend you can only warn them about it. Gambling cannot be a source of income, its a game of chance and if you win big stop, or else you are going to lose it all.

Your friend is making a mistake, they will lose money and then go to another debt and not be able to run a business at all.
530  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 24, 2024, 02:05:39 PM
Hello, I'm looking for recommendations (based on first-hand experience) for legitimate cloud mining companies.  I'd appreciate any input, thanks.
Those two bolded words dont go together, ever.

I am myself yet to find one that is so legit as you speak, and I am sure I will never find one. The better option is to buy bitcoin yourself, get your own mining farm if you have the money, land and cheap electricity or make your friends do so and invest in their farms.

All cloud mining sites are HYIP/MLMs and they are all scams.
531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Trading becomes Unfavourable on: February 22, 2024, 04:10:12 PM
When trading becomes unfavourable, the best thing to do is to take a break which will let the traders see the area where the mistake comes in which could be choosing the wrong product.
Taking a break is never a bad option. You often need to have a different picture in front of your eyes instead of the trading terminals to be able to think outside the box and give everything a fresh look. It does not always work but it can if you want it to and be able to place that next intelligent order.

Mistakes are more common when you are burnt out from trading and not in an emotional state to make these decisions any more. In this regard long term trading is much safer - indeed day trading is not for everyone and is stressful.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: February 22, 2024, 04:03:46 PM
Also, in my observation, impatient people are greedy people. When these two malicious behaviors come together, it is possible to make many wrong decisions.
Impatient people are impulsive and that can fuel gambling habits and addiction possibilities. With greed there comes in a blunting of the logical thinking and thus the gambler who goes in with the mindset of making loads of money will not think twice to increase their bet after losing one, but continue to play more until they bust their bankroll.

Here the impatience acts like a deciding factor, to cool their patience they will continue to go for fast paced games like slots and lose.
533  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hyip website offering unusual returns on: February 22, 2024, 04:01:26 PM
Like the way these guys pose themselves, 5% return in one month equates to 60% in one year my bad its 20% a day, heck these guys creating money out of thin air? Why they have not destabilized the economy yet? Just asking yourself these questions yields the answer that it is too good to be true, but if you are swayed by their words and think you are going to make money, you are only making a fool of yourself.

Dont even try to experiment with 10 to 20$ - its not worth it, rather buy a lunch bento with that instead.

Anyone reading this, the above site is a scam and if you think we are fooling you, ask yourself the above question and try to find the answer.
534  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: February 22, 2024, 03:51:03 PM
I wonder how much bankroll will be left, I'm debating whether to leave anything.
You are speculating that after the change of hands, the previous investors might pull out? There are drops in the bankroll happening already but I see the bright side of this, individual investors stake increases and their possibility of higher wins increase proportionately as the other investors cash out. Hence I am sticking with my same plan and not touching my investment at all.

Just want to point out that I made 4% gains from my 2months investment on Moneypot - had to cash out after their declared their shut down and Leo moving to BAB and BAD now. I have faith in Leo along with Daniel and Ryan, so I am at ease.
535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can we understand market going to be Bear? on: February 21, 2024, 03:04:33 PM
We know better cryptocurrency market always unpredictable. Yet we invest in the cryptocurrency market. Sometimes the market gradually turns to bear.
My question is how do we know if the market will go bearish.
Indicators can give you a 50-50 indication as to the market might turn bearish but this is hard to say with accuracy. The previous condition often helps predict, like for example if the market is correcting from a bull run a good chance is there to go bearish, then when the market is stagnant, both sides can happen.

I think what trader should be more active about is once the market turns bearish, make sure your buy orders are in place and then leave it as it as and wait for them to be executed.

News often can foresee a market movement, a hack or a big exchange or some negative news will drop the price for the next few days.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: February 21, 2024, 02:58:54 PM
If you are unable to create a method to survive properly without eating food and having a shelter then yes it is about money.

Things that you need, cost and therefore you have to be able to pay for them and hence you need to have some skills that you can sell or provide a service to get paid.

At present, of course you need to have a degree and the skills to be able to get a job and get paid.

You can also think of the fact that some people have a passion for something, they get spending sleepless nights trying to nurture that passion. The world does not run on goodwill but money and hence you need it.

- Right. Freebie robbers on probabilities of gamblers from working class. :-)
Who does not like freebie anyway? Grin

Lets get them before the time runs out. However getting to the 10th roll itself means waiting for 10hours straight, half the day is going to go off with that, so I dont prefer doing it much. Still it seems to made the thread regulars very excited, so continue hunting those GTs if you have not already.

Hoping to see the next lambo winner from this forum.
538  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: February 21, 2024, 02:41:50 PM
Good to hear your Moneypot investiment had a good outcome: just had a quick look at both investiment pages ( MP and BaB) and I saw there is a huge difference in commission applied MP takes (better say took) a 0.2% while BaB a huge 84%     Shocked
As you seem to be quite deep into investment dynamics do you know the reason/logic behind that huge commission BaB takes from the net profit?
This only applies when the bankroll's profit reaches an all time high. Then the commission rate is applied and the casino keeps that percentage of money for itself and the investors get the rest. I think the difference in percentages is because the total bankroll was much different on these two sites. MP bankroll was ~30BTC and BAB bankroll was around 1740BTC.

However I am not sure if this is the only reason, maybe @devans or @leomedina can give a more precise answer.

But moneypot is shutting down so these numbers dont mean much anymore. Cry
539  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: February 20, 2024, 02:21:56 PM
-snip-
Considering you already have some loans open with @shashan, you should think twice before making such foolish decisions. You were lucky this time and probably got away with it, but this type of lucky situations dont repeat and that is the sole reason why people lose money after getting the false confidence from a previously won bet.

Please consider managing your bankroll properly and playing with only what you can afford to lose. Not doing so means a vicious cycle of being broke, taking a loan to gamble and bring broke even more.
540  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: February 20, 2024, 02:17:05 PM
Good leaders and government policies set the stage for success by creating opportunities and stability. But at the end of the day, your personal choices and actions are a big part of your own success. It's like a teamwork between what's happening around you and what you decide to do
You cannot possibly be part of the team that decides the affairs of the country. You thus have very little role to play here and let the government decide how the country progresses. We tend to have our own opinions as to how the economy should grow and all but these are all short-sighted thoughts unable to see the big picture we make such comments and it seems as though the government is doing it wrong - they are not, still its tough to make the common people understand.

Yes, but a good environment will influence the person to be better, different from a bad environment.
The decision is in your hands, but the environment has a big influence on a person's life.
A good working government will influence the people whom they govern, and thus a good leader will leave an impression of the people they lead.
