5201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 20, 2021, 08:04:27 PM
If he is viewed as a Hero then this is a big fight in Japan and people will surely watch this big fight. I read some article that Murata is even more popular than Inoue and I didn't expect that, but with that information, I now expect that Murata will have all the pressure as he is fighting a known great fighter and a champion as well.

I didn't expect that Murata is far more famous in Japan rather than Inoue, I mean for the meantime here in forum the upcoming fights of Inoue are the most awaited fights of every bettors. However, since it is mentioned thag Murata is viewed as a hero of Japan in terms of his boxing career then this upcoming fight of him with GGG will surely one of the most awaited fight in Japan, but since due to pandemic it is rescheduled, I just do hope this fight will be push through by next year.

They have the same path in my opinion, started in Japan and then fight bigger names in the US.

The thing is that Inoue fights in lower classes and that's where maybe casual fans followed most as compare to the heavier weight classes like the Middleweight division.

Hopefully, this fight is still going to happen in early part of 2022 because this is very intriguing stylistic match up.
5202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finally Climbs Back Above $50k, but can it Remain there? on: December 20, 2021, 07:30:03 PM
^^ We are just above $44k right now, but still in the very dangerous levels at $46k so we are not out of the bear market. On the contrary, we might stay at this price range until the end of the year, which is not a good indication for the next coming 2022 as we might be really entering a bearish scenario similar to 2018. So hopefully though, things will change still next year and we remain in the bullish state at least in the first quarter and hit another all time high.
I do not know, personally it does not seem that we are headed to such a crushing bear market as the one we suffered after the bull run of 2017, it is true the price is having problems remaining above 50k but it is not as if the price is at risk of going below 40k either.

It seems that this December is going to be less volatile than what we were expecting, but that is not as bad either, it is natural that markets during the middle of a bull run experiment periods in which the price is just ranging, so I think that what we are seeing right now is not an indication of a bear market that is coming, rather the market participants are just taking their time and are accumulating more coins before the bull run continues.

Yeah, it could not been worst because we have seen the price just hovering above $45k, but the resistance at $50k is too much too overcome right now. So December is still very volatile in my book.

Not sure if this is not a bear market indication, but again, we don't want to expect something big and we have to prepare eventually. Accumulating might be a good idea specially if you are for the long term in this market. But what I'm saying is that bear market will have to enter the picture at some point in time.
5203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 20, 2021, 06:56:35 PM
Well, I don't know if anyone watched the Lakers vs Bulls game.
Unfortunately the Lakers lost again, but one thing in particular caught my attention... It's the performance of some reserve players!
Both teams had some great contribution from the bench. Particularly the Bulls. Even though they didn't have Lavine at this game, the bench stepped up and did the job.

But DeRozan stole the show. 11/24 FG and 16/17 free throws... Not bad for a game like this.

With Lavine, I consider them a team to be reckoned with in the playoffs. I expect at least the conference finals from them.

Seems that DeRozan is trying to put a point in his comeback game as he carry the team without Zach Lavine. He goes toe to toe against all the defenders the Lakers have thrown on him .

I also love how Caruso takes on Lebron one on one, maybe they have done this a lot during their practice when Caruso was still in LA. But now as a Bulls he is not backing out, but Lebron opted to pass more often though.
5204  Economy / Speculation / Re: TA shows potential bullish breakout - if history repeats on: December 19, 2021, 11:46:05 PM
More than the last few weeks the price of bitcoin is still experiencing a deep price correction, market sentiment is still negative.
Although the current bear market is not over yet, I see the potential for a bitcoin bullish breakout to still occur. therefore, if the bull market starts later, bitcoin will set a new ATH record at $70k-up to $85k in 2022.
The potential is still very high for bitcoin to continue its growth during the next year, it is just that there are some external factors that are slowing down this process, for example we know the new strain of the virus has all the leaders of the world worried about it, and now it seems there is new scientific evidence coming out hinting at the possibility that the current vaccines are not going to be good enough to stop this new strain and that maybe new ones are going to be needed, and without a doubt this is going to slowdown the growth that we were expecting out of bitcoin.

Hopefully this will be the case, in any case though, I would prepare myself for the eventuality of a bearish trend for next year, just saying. The new strain of virus that has affected us has been in the news for weeks now, but now it should have settled down. But instead there could be other reasons as well, like we are really entering a new phase which is bearish, just saying.
5205  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Kraken closed my account, stole my assets and doesn't reply on: December 19, 2021, 06:26:13 PM
I think someone already posted a good advise, make some noise on their official twitter account and see what will be the reaction of their CEO.

If this is true then it involves a huge amount of money to begin with so the OP has every right to get it back from Kraken. So try that route, create a twitter account and tweet about your case, maybe someone from them will take notice of it because they have a lot of followers and everyone is going to see it, thus their reputation is on the line.

Who knows, this may work and it is free, but I guess that his little voice won't be heard inside Twitter's noise, unless he spams, which I would not recommend.

As already said, I would stick to the original thread and, if you don't get the satisfactory answer you are looking for, try different ways (paid professional legal advice, for example: you already said it is very expensive but it might be better than losing 50k). This forum is a great source of knowledge but, unfortunately, panacea doesn't really exist. I'm sorry about not giving you an advice that solves your problem directly, but I don't know well the legislation that corresponds to your jurisdiction and, in addition, this is not an easy task and would need a lot more information and time.

Well he can try this method and see how it goes for him. Twitter might be a good thing to do if he doesn't got the attention from the support personnel.

Hiring a lawyer might be costly though and it's not an assurance that you can get back your money, so it's a long shot.
5206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 19, 2021, 05:59:48 PM
Is Mark Magsayo also a champion?

I think he is just a challenger in this particular weight class or division and he is here to try to steal the belt of Gary Russell.
He is our pride, but to be honest, you are right that his lack of defense, and he always suffer his first defeat in his last fight if he was not able to KO his opponent.
Yep he's a challenger, Magsayo's doesn't have world champions title, he only have youth and asian title.

I wonder how effective is Russell perform and strategy if he only fight one a year, this fight there's 2 years gap since he doesn't have any fought last year. It's true he's active training and workout, but that's different when you fight in the ring. Sometimes, experience is more important than hard workout.

Not sure about the effect on him since he has been off in boxing for 2 years.

We've seen a lot of upsets lately because of ring rust, and everyone is not immune to it.

Yes, you are right, he is mostly in the Asian scene and not a champion in the major 4 belt. But I still consider him a champion though.
5207  Economy / Economics / Re: Not correct news about omicron and eu stocks on: December 19, 2021, 05:00:10 PM
As far as crypto journalism goes? since 2017 I haven't found anyone, maybe just a couple of exceptions, but majority writes news without any verification whatsoever. CNBC? one of the worst I would say and it's going to be not good if you are investors are going to base your investments on these kind of shows. Well, it fun to watch, but to take their advise seriously? Nah, I don't think so.
5208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 19, 2021, 12:37:10 PM
After seeing Boston Celtics' performance against Golden State Warriors, I felt like that they would win a game very soon. Because they made really big difficulties for Golden State in general. And their next game was going to be vs New York Knicks. This was a very competitive game last night and Celtics really managed to be the victor by 114-107. There was a really good team play from Celtics.

Celtics are good at home and Knicks aren't really a great team like the Warriors. They needed that win because they have been losing games especially in the road and good thing they made it although it wasn't as dominant as what we are expecting from a home team.

Tatum, Brown, and Richardson, all 3 scored over 20 points and that was great teamwork from them.

Hopefully, Richardson will give a consistent production like what he gave in the succeeding games.

And if I'm not mistaken, I saw Kemba Walker was back in the rotation?

Wasn't able to watch the full game, only in first quarter but I never doubt that the Celtics will win this game. Randle though was even check by Tatum in the first quarter.

Not sure what happen to Randle though, it seems that he was really off in the last couple of games. There was a lot of hype around him last year with his performance but it was not seen this season.
5209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Data-driven or Emotional driven Bitcoin holder? on: December 19, 2021, 12:19:39 PM
The data-driven holders are basing their decisions on something that are not fixed... so it is worthless too. You cannot say that any previous event will play out the same EVERY time. Let's just take the previous Halvings as an example of what I am saying.

Most people are under the impression that a Halving will increase the demand and also the price, but that is not true for every Halving. A lot of times the Halving happens at the same time when there are another event that are pushing the price down... this cancel out any spike that might have occurred as a result of the Halving.  Roll Eyes
Well the halving was not based on any data, why because if you take the previous Bitcoin halving and study it data properly you will see that price did not just rise immediately after the halving, some time was given and halving was never a guarantee of increase demands even if the supply is reduced.

Obviously, you are right the price didn't rise immediately, but it was a gradual rise peaking at a new all time high. But if you are going to look at those previous data, indeed halving was a catalyst I would say.

As far as data-driven data or pure emotions, I think their is a thin line between the two.

How many investors are looking for data? or just buying and selling through emotions?
5210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $100,000 in December? on: December 18, 2021, 11:52:17 PM
The cryptocurrency market is completely uncertain and you can't make the right decision based on what you think. The Bitcoin market has reached an all-time high of $ 70,000, but is now hovering below $50,000. However, this year may not be possible, but in the coming new year, Bitcoin will again be at its peak Will arrive.

It's pretty obvious that $100k is no where to be reach this December. Unfortunately, it was an expectations from us specially the school of thought that we can go and smash it like butter specially when we had our second all time high at almost $70k and everyone is shouting that 6 digits is very possible at the end of 2021. Now, it's very different, we might be at just over $45k before the end of the year. It's another lessons for everyone that we shouldn't expect that everything will be in perfect align with someone's prediction as the market is very unstable and volatile.
5211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 18, 2021, 06:48:41 PM
^^ We will see, if Murata backs out of this schedule fight due to the postponement, it will be obvious that GGG has to seek other fights because he is already on the verge of retirement so he is going to milk his boxing career to the fullest before he goes out. Everyone is talking about Charlo as the best option for him though. But again, as I have said, still depends if Murata is still a willing opponent or not. As GGG as other options besides him, other champions to fight next year.
The fight was reportedly postponed but I think it will happen early next year. The omicron virus is the main reason but we haven't heard this virus is very dangerous, so once the study is finished, they'll probably resume normal operation where international flights are already available from countries that were currently banned, this fight is gonna happen, hopefully as they spend time to train already, and GGG needs a big fighter before he would retire.

Yes, I think this fight will happen early in 2022, probably still in the first quarter of the year and will happen still in Japan. Although there's a lot of speculation on GGG's next fight, I think this one is a good fight to be honest as Murata is also a champion. Of course, who wanted not to see GGG fight Charlo, but it has to wait. Here is a good article about Charlo though for those who are interested: https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/11/5/22765531/jermall-charlo-next-fight-canelo-vs-plant-desire-face-winner-golovkin-benavidez-boxing-news-2021

Quote
“We want to put together a mega-fight. Canelo called me out, maybe we’ll see what happens (after his fight with Plant). (Demetrius) Andrade’s been talking, and (Gennadiy) Golovkin is about to unify (with Ryota Murata), so maybe we can fight for all the belts or something like that. We’ll figure it out.”

“(Golovkin’s) handlers are great, anything is possible. It’d be a mega-fight. If he wins this fight with Murata and unifies, then we can unify together. It’s a big fight, it’s a major fight.”

5213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun Is Retiring From Tron. on: December 18, 2021, 04:45:26 PM
If that does not relate to the Tron project and is related to Justin Sun himself, that will not impact Tron's price because that is personal. But that can impact Tron because Justin is part of the Tron project. But if he talks about Tron while he is the ambassador, that may help Tron's popularity and gain attention from the investors who can impact the Tron price. If you want to see what will impact Tron, I suggest you watch the Tron market closer to know if that can impact the price to increase or it still stays at the current price.

I think you can't separate Justin Sun from Tron itself. Like Charlie Lee when announcing that he sold all of his LTC in 2017. Although Lee is still working with Litecoin Foundation.

So it will be same here, although as of now Justin is no longer with Tron, his name will be synonymous with it wherever he goes.  So far though it hasn't had any effect on the price, as all coins are really down so we can't see the real impact of this news.
5214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 18, 2021, 04:08:58 PM
I see how Magsayo play inside the ring and for me he will win on this because I always believe on Filipino fighter and I always support them no matter what. This is not an easy match of course since Russell will defend his belt title and will do everything to protect it. Magsayo have to do everything as well, his chance of winning is very high.

Not just because he is a Filipino that we are going to support him. I mean he has proven himself in the ring already with many great fighters. But still he can be called the best if he can win against Russell here. And I think Magsayo will be the underdog is this fight.

So that will be really a good motivation factor him and to show that he really deserves to be called the best in this division by beating Russell by any means. Of course a knock out win will be great, but we can take a UD win anytime.
5215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 18, 2021, 03:41:54 PM
I finished 1/3 for the night, both Lakers and Atlanta Hawks couldn't win their respective matches. I'm more surprised about the Lakers having their big 3 on the floor but still look pretty mediocre  Sad

Betting on Lakers' Moneyline should be thought twice. They are inconsistent whether the team is looked at strong or weak. They were defeated even in a healthy lineup by a lower team and even they won, they are struggling to get that win. Recently, they were almost defeated by a less Doncic Dallas Mavericks and they got won because of that lucky shot. I considered that lucky shot as it's a rush.

Better bet on live bet or Lakers Total. A handicap is a good bet too.

Yeah, live betting will be a good choice, so that you can see how the complexion of the game is turning on to be. Although one drawback is that the odds keeps going up/down and as per my experience, bets are hard to get inside as the betting might be close. So you need to be very quick otherwise you might lose that good odds.

And speaking of that, I was able to put my bet -4.5 for Minnesota when the score is 21-12 first quarter, Wolves leading at 1.9x.
5216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 18, 2021, 02:40:47 PM
There's a lot of speculation that Lebron might be waiting for his son to enter the NBA and hoping that they can play along for at least a season before he retires.

That discussion was already in a talk before. It's not that Lebron is waiting but it's actually possible that Bronny can be drafted in the NBA. Lebron was drafted at 19 years old. Bronny is 17 and just 2 years later he can also be drafted. However, Lebron is a big thing during his college days and playing like a professional player already that's why he is popular already at a young age.

Bronny James so far is just popular because he is Lebron's son but still lacks game impact but we don't know what will be his status 2 years from now. Lebron will be 38 years old when Bronny might be possible to draft. He is still athletic at 36 years old and probably will maintain it until close to 40 years of age.

Bronny is popular because of Lebron James, it's a common sense, his father is the king of basketball, so we are expecting him as a prince that will be good as his father. However, I don't think he will be as good as his father, maybe he has the talent but he won't be near his father in terms of success, I hope I'm wrong but that's what I see on him now.

I think Bronny will be good in his own right, no need to compare him to his legendary father.

And yes, if ever he will make it to the NBA, I think he will be great as well and will carve up his own name in the game. Hopefully, in 2 years time and Lebron is still playing that time, we might see them both on the floor playing against or together.
5217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Arthur Beterbiev vs Marcus Browne Light Heavyweight Championship on: December 18, 2021, 01:53:42 PM

Browne has chance but it was slim, if you see the fight, he really tried his best in the first couple of rounds and I gave him the first 2 rounds to be honest.

But after that, Beterviev got into his groove so and then he score in the next rounds for me until Browne won again in my card. But in round 7, Beterviev started to really gets hot and then scored a knee (knock down), and after that Browne tried to fought in round 8. But it was over in round 9 with that huge uppercut right on target.

I admire Beterbiev for pushing the fight because of the bad cut, the cut is very worrisome and if it drag on the fight could be stopped and they will go to the scorecard because the cut was the result of the headbutt, in the light division I consider Beterbieve to be the undisputed champion if Smith and Bivol decided to unite the title Beterbiev can beat both guys to become an undisputed champion.

I think Beterviev shows how resilient he is in this fight, and so he really thinks that he can get away with a knock out win here that's why he really push for it despite that cut.

I wanted to see Beterviev vs Bivol first for unification and then the winner fights Canelo if Saul decided to go down. to LHW again to get another belt.
5218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Elon accepting Doge at Tesla will stop the latest slide in prices? on: December 14, 2021, 12:59:43 PM
At about 12:00 UTC today, Elon declared that Tesla will start accepting Doge for merch payments

Is this something new though? I mean we've already heard that Elon will accept Doge already so I don't think this will bring any good or positive news in the market.

If this is bitcoin that he will accept the maybe, we could see a good pump that will trickle down to the altcoin and push bitcoin to $50k and other altcoins enjoying a 3% and up spike in the next 24 hours. Otherwise, this will not have a big effect on the market right now.
5219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 14, 2021, 12:28:55 PM
Let's ride on the same boat, Warriors do really gain the trust of the bettors and I don't want to make a complicated analysis, I'm already solved with the words "bounce back" as the Warriors would usually do that after a loss. I am expecting Curry to be on fire again, BOL everyone!
Well, with the game that we had today, the Pacers playing very well, Sabonnis stands out, he scored 30 points!!

Even though most Warriors players scored few points, (including Curry) the GSW managed to win, Curry wasn't on fire and neither did Klay Thompson play!

This shows Curry's ability to lead the team!

I believe a lot of bettors are having advantage when they bet on the Warriors!

Yeah, it was like a sure fire bet for Warriors ML, but if you bet on the handicap, sure they didn't cover it this time. And that is the beauty of live game betting though, I think last time I see when the score or time or the Pacers have a slim lead, the odds are the same, 1.8xx-1.9xx.

I did the live betting on Houston vs ATL, damn, I have Houston at 5.x but my bet can't get through until it was like 2.15. Houston won and I should have won big with. that 5.x is I'm quick. Anyhow, I ended up at 2.15 ML win and I think that is good enough for me.
5220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Hit $150,000 in 2022 on: December 14, 2021, 11:59:57 AM
We seem to have lost this round already, this year I mean. The price prediction of Bitcoin as far as many supporters, even those realistic ones, are concerned within the year 2021 is that it could reach $100,000. I myself thought Bitcoin could reach that. It is now one hundred percent obvious that we cannot have that. So the next round is 2022. And I am once again fully convinced that $100,000 is such an easy target for the whole year. Inflation is going through the roof already. Bitcoin is people's best hedge.
Maybe we lost the chance to see bitcoin increase to $100,000 this year but we still have much time to see that is happening next year and I still believe that bitcoin will rise at the right time. I also think that bitcoin can increase to $100,000 in November but after seeing what happened to bitcoin in November and this month, the chance to see a bullish trend is not too big but the chance is still there. So it is only a matter of time bitcoin will increase higher. Meanwhile, we can prepare by accumulating more bitcoin while the price is still at a low price.

Of course, I still believed that we have a good chance next year, but it's a big if, IF we are still going to see a bull run, we might go over $100k next year, maybe in the first quarter.

But the market seems to be reluctant right now, investors are too timid or not in the business to pour their money at this for this month. Everyone is expecting a 6 digits this December but it's obvious that it won't happen this 2021.
