5221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin price becomes unstable due to Bitcoin’s price fluctuations? on: March 19, 2020, 11:08:02 PM
It makes sense to some to move to stable coin in this kind of situation. After all you wanted to protect your assets specially when the market crashes. So obviously, BTC is the gold standard, and thats ironic to see stable coin became 'unstable'.

So there's no safe assets right now, every coin is volatile because of the covid-19 effect, so just be wise, if you wanted to hedge against stable coin, then good, but you should know how to get out in time.
5222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It´s not about IF but WHEN - don't panic on: March 19, 2020, 10:38:26 PM
If I may just add, yes we have seen a lot of times that bitcoin has been tested, but every time is was different. And so are today, we haven't seen this pandemic before, that's why the market reacted very negative that really tested a lot of traders/investors psychologically.

So the market has been shaken, weak hands have sold, but still probably go back to BTC again when they realised that they have made the mistake of selling off in the panic. BTC now is up by 20%.
5223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a 'two-phased' product, which makes it ponzi/pyramid-like on: March 17, 2020, 07:52:55 AM
this subject and users posting about it are like roaches that crawl out of their hole each time they smell shit. just like roaches they never die either they keep coming back out every time there is a dip and they are spreading diseases...
Nice comparation if you think that telling the truth is spreading diseases.

That is according to you, but majority of us thinks otherwise, do most of us here are wrong? sorry to burst your bubble.

Do you think that Craig Wright is also telling the truth?
5224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain able to fight against COVID-19 on: March 17, 2020, 05:20:15 AM
Governments and health organizations around the world are fighting against COVID-19, how Blockchain getting involved? Till now i don't see any relation between COVID-19 and Blockchain except the decline of crypto market.

It's because there's none, the most important thing right now is to discover a vaccine, have people check for the virus, medical supplies for the victims specially the older one, disinfect places, medical workers ready to deploy 24x7. None of those would have to involved blockchain technology as far as I know.

And we all know that crypto or blockchain technology is not like a magic bean that will solved the problem. And everyone should be cautious as well and stay away from public places and don't go out, simply as that.

The only thing that I can think of is let blockchain technology be used as a tool to accept crypto as donations.
5225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Skilled trader or bullshitter? 📈 on: March 17, 2020, 04:37:32 AM
I'm more concern about the API keys though, we have heard before that Binance was hacked thru their API keys.

What security measures are you guys implementing here? As hackers can get ahold of our API keys and then it's over for us?

And what data are other people going to see in our portfolio?
5226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas closes casinos and hotels in lieu of coronavirus on: March 16, 2020, 09:59:44 PM
Not only in Las Vegas, but even here in our country, 3 big casinos have closed starting Monday because of the corona virus. This is really messy and ugly, everyone is affected and the only option we got is to really play online games. It could be good for crypto, however, there are still players who wanted the total atmosphere of a traditional casino. If they don't like online then the only choice is to stop their gambling. So it could have a positive effect as well, sort of.
5227  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Fake UNICEF Covid malware on: March 16, 2020, 09:13:55 PM
Nice catch, we have seen growth on malwares riding on the covid-19 crisis.

Now we have witnessed another gimmicks from these spineless people trying to take advantage of the situation and tricking people to donate their money because they wanted to help.
5228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play gambling that require skills and techniques. on: March 16, 2020, 08:19:16 AM
According to the article you posted;

- Bingo??
- Craps??
- Roulette??
- Lottery??
- Video Poker??

Almost half of the games you mentioned in your blog is luck based game, so there's no skills or techniques needed obviously.
5229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Edward Snowden interested back in Bitcoin after Crash on: March 16, 2020, 07:28:28 AM
nice to know that non interested people on bitcoin are now realizing that they want to invest in bitcoin after seeing its price   .

Are you saying that Snowden are not interested on bitcoin?
Back in 2015 he was accepting bitcoin as donation already. https://cointelegraph.com/news/edward-snowden-is-accepting-bitcoin-donations-for-his-legal-defense-fund.

So he knows bitcoin very well, that's why he tweeted it so look like he is promoting it again or at least very positive on bitcoin. It's still our best interest to not believed on someone just because it looks like they are bullish on BTC, just saying.

5230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Italian Red Cross accepts BTC as donations to fight the corona virus on: March 16, 2020, 03:23:59 AM
It says that they have reach € 10,000 already, but it seems that the money is not enough. And at this trying times, if someone has some extra BTC, just dusting in your wallet, maybe this is the right now to donate it, just saying.

And it recent days, the fatality are so high, outside of China, I think Italy and Iran are the most affected by the Covid-19 virus.
5231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price drop 40% we thing causes "Corona virus" and world economic problem on: March 16, 2020, 02:36:14 AM
Well we all know that the first outbreak really come from China, initially though they don't want to accept it and even suppress local doctors who first discovered it not to go to social media and leak information. But it's too late as the virus spread out in other countries and everyone has been affected.

And after that, all hell breaks loose, traditional markets, our beloved crypto's nose dived because of this. And it also means that indeed every economy is around the world is connected, that's why it really causes a lot of financial woes for every nation. So let's see how bitcoin will react if there is a new wave and the potential victims numbers grew exponentially in the coming weeks.
5232  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-13] Despite Bitcoin Price Dips, Crypto Is a Safe Haven in the Middle Ea on: March 16, 2020, 02:00:47 AM
That is what they all say until they have reached a point of capitulation and begin to sell in panic themselves hehehe. I reckon many of the safe haven buyers of December 2017 might be stressed in all of their years holding bitcoin. They know their money would have grown in value holding something else.

Well, we are in a very different situation now, imo. People who were buying BTC in December 2017 were buying at the top, and today we at the bottom, don't you think?

If it's not the "end of Bitcoin", declared so many times before, those Middle East guys have a point in calling Bitcoin a safe-haven asset.

No one said that it is the end of bitcoin, however, calling it a safe haven asset if everyone is really using it as a speculative investment similar to stocks is wrong. Your money is not safe if you get only half of its value of 3 years ago.

Also, agreed! It is a different situation. The investors who bought the top on 2017 are in a worse situation hehehe.

Why would they stressed themselves when 1 BTC = 1 BTC?

We haven't seen this kind of situation before, the closest we got from this kind of dump is during the Mt. Gox heist, but that is still not comparable as to the market situations we have right now. And for those who are really stressed, the only option is to sell, that is if they want to lose money today.
5233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game on: March 15, 2020, 09:42:05 PM
It took 5 years for Japan to prepare for the Olympics, huge amount of funds have been invested into the preparation, if the Olympics is postponed or cancel it will bring severe economic problem to the country.

I am sure they will never cancel it but postponed it for the time being. They do not have any other choice.

Japan is amongst the best economy in the world, I think a cancellation or postponement will be a good option for now instead of allowing it as schedule. The game itself will be a disaster for committee to check everyone, athletes and fans for the corona virus symptoms.

So the logical choice will be to push it on a later date when everything has settled down or at least everyone feel safe to attend the games.
5234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we are so close to HALVING !!!are these dumps CONNECT to halving time??? on: March 15, 2020, 10:15:05 AM
as u know we having next halving in 3. but as u know price get down to 7k  and break so many resistance support lines. the question is how much bitcoin will go down before halving ?! and what will be the price for resistance support before price go up?!and also what is the reason of these dumps?!

The only reason of the sudden dump is the corona virus scare and in the last 24 hours, speculation on the plus token scam moving their funds and most probably cashing it out.

We really can't say when this down trend will stop, it could go to $6k tomorrow or bounce back and recover to $9k. And there is no connection whatsoever to the halving, we need to wait how everything will settle down in the next couple of days. I would also suggest that everyone should stop and not to panic, we have been tested before, no need to push that sell button.

i dont think so that bitcoin will see 6k ever again because to many people now know bitcoin all around the world and the number of crypto investors are Increasing each day .and numbers of holders of bitcoin are also increasing in chart, and they have bitcoin just for stack. so those numbers in market that we saw 2 month ago was market off-buy . also bitcoin is now on 7600-8000 price .and i think the price will comeback in 1,2 week.

Unfortunately though, we have seen the lowest price this year as the market .

I can't argue with you about the number of bitcoin investors growing by the day. But with the pandemic at hand, everything is taking care of themselves, and the whole global market has been affected negatively. Currently, the price is not even on the $6k'sh, we are struggling day by day. But I do hope that once everything settles down, we might see the price going into the five digits again.
5235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Notorious Bear Tone Vays: 90% chance $3,800 was the low on: March 15, 2020, 09:36:40 AM
He is right. The window only lasted for some minutes, the bounce was fast and agressive.

And like I explained in another post, below $3k is the zone of the previous cycle recovery and bull run.

Right, I was scrambling to buy at cheap price, just waiting for some fiat, unfortunately, I wasn't able to ride as the price quickly bounce back from -46% to -31% and price going above $5k. That was really a great opportunity to get some cheap coins and hold and wait for the eventual bull-run, sadly I was late.

It it goes down, sub $5k again, then definitely I will buy small portions and see how it goes. Not that I wanted to see the price to go down again, but it will present another perfect opportunity, another chance to scoop BTC.

5236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] COVID-19 Hits Ethereum Community Conference, Six People Test Positive on: March 15, 2020, 08:33:03 AM
A Preventable situation. A coronavirus conference was cancelled due to coronavirus and people were informed Not to attend due to the nature of spread of the virus. this is a preventable situation that could been avoided. i wonder what exactly they wanted to discussed that can not be postponed or cancelled.

Doesn't matter what is that they wanted to discussed in public, everyone should take every precautions because of the high risk involved in contacting the virus specially in a crowded and public places.

As for those who attend, they should have take into consideration that they can be infected and that's what really happened here, I think both sides are guilty here, the organizers should have postponed though, no question about it.
5237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: March 15, 2020, 07:41:41 AM
It will be a big profit for those who are busy accumulating right now, honestly I never thought this will happen this year, crypto market is full of surprises, either good or bad I ain't going no where

If you have funds at stand-by and waiting for the perfect opportunity to buy coins including BTC and Ethereum then go by it, accumulate because it is still cheap as far as I know.

Definitely, this is a big test, but I'm sure that those who have been in the market in the last 5 years have seen worst, so for me, everything will settle down in the next coming days, patience everyone, don't need to panic.
5238  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Funexchange.eu - traffic exchange - bonus signup - add your site - earn btc on: March 15, 2020, 05:06:44 AM
Why would any crypto exchange involved Paypal though? that's odd.

As far as advertisement here in the community, we have a dedicated board, Exchanges. Might be good in your end to create a topic there dedicated to your exchanges so that you can get maximum exposure to traders.
5239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would a global recession affect cryptocurrencies? on: March 15, 2020, 04:21:53 AM
How would a global recession affect cryptocurrencies?

We have seen the effects already, not just crypto but the rest of traditional global market also crashed.

I'm not saying the crypto is not a good hedge, but the panic that corona virus scare has cause is too much for all the market to go into it's knees. I guess recession really affects everyone, from simply investors to those who have tons of money as well.
5240  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: March 15, 2020, 03:36:40 AM
I've contacted a few friends who hold like me. They're all very concerned by the huge drop, but none has sold a single BTC.
We're all holders.
I know it's huge, but I believe the sharp fall in BTC's price has been caused by a very small number of individuals.
Waiting for data...

I don't think it's just small numbers, many have panic causing the price to sink below $4k levels.

But as for those people? We really don't know the rational behind cashing out their holdings. If they are true believers of bitcoin, maybe they really fear that it is the end of all crypto and wanted to have it converted to cash, ASAP. But since we have recovered, not the price that we wanted to see, but at least it didn't fall to $3k, but the panic is still in the air though.
