I was using paper wallets but I'm not fully confident. I'm switching to offline armory.

Though I'm removing the Wi-Fi card and gluing the Ethernet.

p2pool definitely uses http, that is how you view its plots and stats and such for example as well as being what you tell cgminer.

Don't Avalons work with cgminer?

I have a bunch of klondike 16 boards I think those use Avalon chips don't they? And cgminer supports them.

This guy uses it

5244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: question about cpu mining on: January 19, 2014, 10:02:25 PM
the rpcminer gives me a rate of ~2000 khash/s
does it even worth or not?

How are you getting 2,000 khash/s from a CPU?  What CPU is it and how many cores?

I have a duel processor motherboard with duel 2.66 processors and only got ~850 h/s from CPU mining.
Either I am not doing something right, or the numbers above are not correct, not sure which...

Well he's using 10 rdps

What if you lose it?

Strong passwords are the answer to wallet theft. Having all your coins in a single device that can be lost or stolen or broken seems insane to me.

Furthermore, the last thing I need in my life is more gadgets and gizmos to carry around. No thanks.

And, BFL. I dont think I have to say anything there. Its all been said.

It creates backups on micro sd.

Too bad this is from bfl 1. I'll never buy from them 2. Shipping in 2018

He's going to test for us how quickly a Japanese national can get his fiat out to a Japanese bank account.

It takes 2 weeks to transfer to a Japanese bank.

Let's do a group sell, arbitrage this mother fuckrr and standardize the price. The only thing that keeps exchanges the same is arbitrage and us brave souls will do it.

So I am confused a little.

If port 9332 work from inside my network but port 9333 doesn't shouldn't I be forwarding port 9332 from my firewall?

I have looked through the sites on google and a lot them say forward 9333.

Forward 9333 for PEER which is good.
You normally wouldn't forward 9332 which would let others mine on your node AND see what you are mining and earning.

If PEER is a good thing (opening port 9333) why then does it affect my efficiency? I have watched it go from 124~129% to 117%!! Also my DOA is on the rise.

During a block change, bitcoind takes max cpu, the extra connections could slow you down if your cpu is slow. I'm not sure if it's required so just keep everything closed.
