5241  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: January 06, 2016, 07:26:58 PM
I'm currently buying Bitcoins to exchange for other altcoins and to invest them in gambling sites and to a certain extent cloud mining.
I do keep some of the Bitcoins that I buy separate in cold storage as a savings account kinda.

I also spend some of them when I order food online or when I need to top up my call credit on Mobile Vikings (Belgian 4g provider)
5242  Other / Archival / Re: Do all casinos hold large wins for a few weeks for "fraud inspection"? (84 BTC) on: January 06, 2016, 06:19:18 PM
Would you like it if you lose ~90 BTC because a dev of yours messed up?

What i am saying is if you need 10 days to check if your site is working as intended then something is clearly not right. I understand the need to check everything to make sure all was fair but this cant take so long because im certain they have already checked everything prior to this win also. And i stand by what i say'd, if a casino doesn't believe in the quality of their own service, then there is no point in even being in business.
Yeah 10 days is a bit too much in my opinion, something like that should not take more than 2 days. If i had to wait those 10 days for that much money, I wouldn't be able to sleep I think...
5243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your average bet per game? on: January 06, 2016, 06:04:51 PM
It changes all the time, I usually go for very small bets with high payout, like betting 0.0005 at X1600 payout on dice obviously.
Sometimes I'll go as high as betting 0.0015, but that's it then Smiley

Yeah i play with small bets too but a little bit higher then you.

0.01 - 0.03 BTCper bet. But when I am winning i higher it to max. 0.1 BTC. HIgher then that I won't go.
same here, i use this method too but i never win until right still get blow by gambling.. maybe i'm so greedy don't want to stop when i won a little amount
Yeah I have some pretty long loss streaks as well, but I can usually stick to the maximum amount of BTC that I was initially going to spend.
If I lose too often, I will always quit for a couple of weeks or even a couple of months.
5244  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum limit for buying BTC on: January 06, 2016, 06:02:33 PM
Here in Belgium I can buy the equivalent of 1 euro in Bitcoin through a service called bitonic (based in The Netherlands).
You can pay with online banking, which is pretty handy for me personally..

I've noticed they have pretty high fees lately, so might still change services in the future.
5245  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I know who has your coins at Crytpsy... on: January 06, 2016, 05:53:51 PM
Honestly I'm sick of this company and also sick of people who keep using it and then cry , I mean there is two zillion (literally) topic about it on scam accusations and different newspaper related ot bitcoin etc ... but do people stop using it ? Hell no ! they like to get scammed .
So for what comes to me , I have to say that those who keep using their website probably deserve it .
Yeah it's a mystery for me too, especially since their interface sucks, not even listing coins according to volume.
In terms of usability it's one of the worst exchanges imo, add scam accusations to that and I don't understand how people can still use it.
5246  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What do you think of my website ? on: January 06, 2016, 05:15:43 PM
I'm going to be brutally honest here and tell you that I don't like the design one bit.
It just looks so untidy and unprofessional that I wouldn't trust the content on that website.

I'd go for a less busy looking theme and try to find something more clear, with lighter colours and way less distraction.
Having a blogspot is fine imo, if you're just starting out it's better than investing money in hosting and domain.

5248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin After Death - The Will... on: January 06, 2016, 05:10:00 PM
That's something I've been thinking about too.
I think I would just make a document with all my accounts and passwords on and list all of my assets on there, including bitcoins and altcoins.
Everything would be handwritten and kept somewhere only my family and partner know.
5249  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Gambling Site to Invest In on: January 06, 2016, 05:05:34 PM
Thanks for all the relevant feedback. I don't think I have enough bitcoin to invest at any of the places suggested and not sure if I have the current skills to make my own gambling site Sad. No worries though I appreciate everyone's feedback it was very helpful! I'll keep looking though and maybe I'll be able to find someone to help grow my small amount of bitcoin.

FYI not looking for HYIP's was just looking for some places I could keep my satoshi and help it grow a little bit.
Crypto games does allow for small investments, starting from 0.01 BTC or the equivalent in altcoins.
It's worth giving it a shot imo if you're looking to start out small.

Does anyone know what the minimum investment amount of Moneypot is btw?
5250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the easiest way to give btc as a gift? on: January 06, 2016, 05:03:17 PM
I would give a paper wallet or simply put a wallet on a usb drive.
That's how I've given bitcoins to people who were still new to all of this.
5251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that Satoshi is still active on Bitcointalk.org? on: January 06, 2016, 05:01:58 PM
I really doubt that he would still be wasting his time here, he has probably moved on to some new project.
Maybe we'll see some new interesting technology pop up the next couple of years. Who knows...
5252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are facing a new threat, and it is not Bitcoin on: January 05, 2016, 05:33:10 PM
though it can stop the fraction reserves, it has a side positive that fiat ends up being deflationary instead of inflationary.
which bankers will just trade the markets on as deflation makes swiss currency more valuable.
banks will love it. more profit without the hassle of loan defaulters.

many think banks will hate it, but they will just switch gears and adapt. not really a threat to fiat but can make people prefer to hold onto their fiat, which reduces bitcoins desirability
It remains to be seen if other nations will adopt this new system though. I doubt that the US or EU will do something similar soon.
And it may make Bitcoin a tiny bit less appealing, but is still holds more benefits other than being deflationary.
5253  Economy / Gambling / Re: HYIP = Gambling on: January 05, 2016, 05:28:10 PM
HYIP = GAMBLING = PONZI
So who be fisrt invest will be the winner  Grin Grin Grin
No, it doesn't work like that. In gambling you have no idea before the game if you will lose or win. Laws of probability and honest mathematical rules (which you accept) are dictating outcome of your game.
From the other hand Ponzi creator lies to you - and promises you huge reward - no matter what will happen; which is blatant lie as late adopters always lose.
Yeah I wouldn't go as far to compare a HYIP to gambling, since the owner can basically scam you at will.
There is no way to calculate the odds of when the HYIP will shutdown.
5254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin from illegal activities on: January 05, 2016, 05:22:41 PM
I'm happy to buy any "tainted" Bitcoins at 75% of market value. Am I being stupid?
I'd think almost all coins, except freshly mines ones have been tainted by some form of illegal activity, that doesn't make those coins any less valuable.
Compare it to cash used for drugs deals, doesn't lower the value of it and you can spend it just as you would with a new printed note.
5255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In gambling, Money is more important than knowledge and luck on: January 05, 2016, 03:11:33 PM
It's not the size of the bankroll that matters, it's how you manage that bankroll. There are other scenarios where this concept applies ^^
Even if you have a relatively small bankroll, you need to make sure you're not gambling with over 10% of your bankroll, I'd even say less than that.
5256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get into Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2016, 03:04:50 PM

At the end of 2013, A friend of told me he made about $10K USD from mining bitcoin.   Like an idiot, I jumped in and bought a bunch of bitcoin miners and also a few bitcoins at the top of the market.  To date, I still have not recovered half from my investments.

What was your initial investment, if you do not mind sharing this info? It must ve been huge since you still have not been able to recover it after more then 2 years.
Sounds like he might have paid way too much for those miners if he bought them at the end of 2013, while his friend must've bought his before the bubble.
Bitcoin prices were over $1000 back then, miners would be sold for a premium if I remember correctly.
5257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Useful sites for every day Bitcoin spending (links and reviews) on: January 05, 2016, 01:02:06 PM
That's some really useful information, especially the service that allows you to pay for sepa transfers in Bitcoin.
I had no idea that even existed. I wish this thread could be stickied, I'm definitely bookmarking it!
5258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get into Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2016, 12:58:40 PM
Through a friend of mine, Len Sassaman, he mentioned it once to me back in early 2011, didn't do much with it back then but rediscovered it in 2012 - 2013.
Haven't looked back since..
5259  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for trusted dice or invesment. on: January 05, 2016, 12:55:49 PM
Hello i looking for some good and PAYING Bitcoin Dice site or investment , (i do not want any scams).
What you think about this dice ? : https://just-dice.com/
And do you know any better bitcoin investment ?

Just-dice is very trustworthy but now it only takes CLAM bet and investment. You could convert your bitcoin to CLAM to invest and do the reverse when you divest, but keep in mind that the CLAM/BTC exchange rate keeps moving up and down and that brings another level of risk.
I've recently been investing in Crypto-games, I'll post a screenshot of my earnings. These are since yesterday btw Wink
You can check out the monthly statistics of every coin to check how much profit they are making per month.

5260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE OR INVEST? on: January 05, 2016, 12:51:02 PM
I do both, I actually invest my winnings from gambling. It helps to increase my overall bankroll Smiley
Sometimes I gamble with my profits from the investments, I then invest those winnings again..
