You are welcome bud. I will see you around.
5242  Economy / Services / Re: Manual Bitcoin Mixing/Tumbling Service (End to End Encrypx no trace) on: January 29, 2020, 04:52:23 PM
All website mixers are liable to fold and submit all backend data to authorities when jammed and under pressure, hence making manual mixing/tumbler much more secured and anonymous.
May be you have a point here but this manual mixing with you is not gonna work unless you start escrowing a good amount of BTC to a trusted escrow. The coins will be held by the escrow until you prove yourself worthy to trust you for this kind of big risky business.

5243  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Verifing Signature File for Electrum Download - Where do I find it? on: January 29, 2020, 03:49:56 PM
Does it matter that I'm using Firefox. It keeps trying to save it as a text file. Should I be using Explorer  instead? Thanks.
Renaming the extension should work. If you are using windows then to see extension follow this instructions: https://www.howtohaven.com/system/show-file-extensions-in-windows-explorer.shtml

If you keep failing then I will recommend to download notepad++ and with this you can easily save .asc extension.

I hope it helps.
5244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 29, 2020, 03:23:26 PM
Some crazy shit going on in the test match between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The Lankans were bowled out for just 293 (trailing by 113, with more than two days to go). If that was not crazy enough, Sikandar Raza picked up 7 wickets for 113 for Zimbabwe. Can you believe it? A part-time bowler destroying the Sri Lankan batsmen? I am waiting for more twists and turns from this match.
LOL it seems Zimbabwe has real good chance to win this Test. Poor Sri Lanka.

Two days remaining and if the weather is good then from the remaining 6 sessions if Zimbabwe play just one and half session and let the Sri Lankan batsmen to chase whatever the target then I guess Zimbabwe will easily be able to get all the 10 wickets of Sri Lanka. 4th and 5th days especially the 5th day is always very hard for batsmen.

I need to admit that I have not watched a single ball but the above I think from my experience of a Test match. Is weather good there?

5245  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Verifing Signature File for Electrum Download - Where do I find it? on: January 29, 2020, 03:13:03 PM
where do I find the signature file? Thanks.
Here: https://electrum.org/#download
Check on the third column of the table.

Chose the one which goes with your OS of course.

Here you will find some instructions of the process to verify it: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/
5246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Mutual betting pool] India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I 29/01 - 07:00 GMT on: January 29, 2020, 12:51:16 PM
Congrats deadly and akhjob
Gentlemen, please :-D

Market: Win - Tie - Win

The winner is Tie. So we have no winner in this pool and the fund moves to the next pool for the first time in our cricketing pool in bitcointalk. :-)

It was a very close call for New Zealand but India proved them again they are the best in mental game. However, they really field very bad today. This is not a world class team performance. There are still scopes for India too improve.
5247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2020, 12:16:32 PM
Southee is their best bowler but still Rohit's sixes were too much to handle.
Southee gave everything but Rohit was too good on those last two balls.

I managed to watch the match from the 7th or 8th over of New Zealand's innings. It was in New Zealand's side all the time untill Kane got caught in the 4th last ball of the last over. Still there were three balls to get only 2 runs to win but Shami really bowled some good balls or I would say New Zealand was too unlucky at the last ball?

Taylor had inside edge and ball broke the stump. It could be a ball to the keeper or a hit in the meaty section of the bat or even the ball could go in any direction and no one could stop them to score only one run!

Man! 2 runs from last 4 balls and New Zealand failed !!! Unbelievable.

In the super over the match was under control of kewis but again these last two balls only made the damage. How many more times New Zealand will lose a match in super over?

But it was a match too watch. Congratulations to both teams.
5248  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How can I add 'Bitcoin Payment Gateway' on my website? on: January 29, 2020, 11:50:32 AM
Also, I am not looking for options like BitPay or CoinGate. I want to learn how to develop it from scratch.
BitPay is good for marcents point of view but it sucks in customers point of view. As a customer to purchase anything from a site which ask pay to bitpay is annoying to me.

Give me few minutes to find you something from Google as I know there is something which allows you to integrate bitcoin payments in your site like without giving any fees and stuffs. One can do it using the bitcoin core they have.

Edit: Check step 3 in this article: https://blog.blockonomics.co/accepting-bitcoin-do-you-need-a-payment-gateway-832487d3b84c

If I am not massively wrong then this is the solution you are looking at.
5249  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Reference] Lending board spammers and scammers. on: January 28, 2020, 03:58:30 PM
It's a good move but since most of these users are newbie, they have nothing to lose. They will just create another account and will continue their spamming and try to find the next victim.

Only the experience of a lender can save them.
5250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to break down UTXOs for cold storage (what sort of values?) on: January 28, 2020, 01:20:46 PM
if I should split the 5 BTC into a series of much small UTXOs?
Well my understanding is that if you have only one input in a tx then the cost goes the lowest. So I would recommend only one UTXO which means send all the 5 btc in one address using one tx. This way when you will decide to spend them then you are going to have only one input.

Thanks mocacinno.

(there's a complete how-to on building windows binaries from linux here: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/tree/master/contrib/build-wine)?
This is what I was talking about to in my last post with the edit. I guess you missed it, not your fault.

Edit:
Found some instructions in here: contrib/build-wine/README.md.
But it seems they have used some alien language LOL
Can anyone speak English to me about it :-D

Quote
An other option is that you ask somebody you really, really, really, really trust to build the binary for you...
I really do not have this option which means I will need to do some studies about it. Will update you lot once I have a question.

5252  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Using electrum wallet on: January 28, 2020, 12:24:04 PM
With Electrum you can create as many wallets as you can. Just forget about the first attempt you made. Close the application and start it over again. This time use "Use a hardware device" instead of "create new seed".

What is this "open dime"?

And I think you got this topic in the wrong board. Since you are seeking help related to Electrum then I suggest to move it in Electrum section to get more exposure to the users who has good knowledge about your case.
5253  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Lightning Demo on: January 28, 2020, 12:14:13 PM
Okay now I have time to play with the toy.

For beginners: there is no official version, verify that you are downloading from https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum and that you verify the signature.
I just downloaded the files from github. Can you tell me where do I get the PGP key to verify it in here? Also which file I install, it seems a lot of files (in the folder electrum-master) which my windows do not recognize (I have no idea about python).

I gotta tell that this is the first time I am trying something from github.

Where did you found the installation guide for Electrum 4.0 alpha version?
As you can see, haven't install yet so I have no clue yet.

Edit:
Found some instructions in here: contrib/build-wine/README.md.
But it seems they have used some alien language LOL

5257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 28, 2020, 08:45:07 AM
?
I am interested to create a superbru pool for it if we have enough players to perticipate. We really need at least 8 to 10 users to make it fun and entertaining. Without a pool I do not see there are any need for a separate thread for T20 events while we have this thread already.

I would suggest everyone to leave their comments on this:
Would you join the pool  and how much entry fee you are okay with?

Royse777: Yes and minimum 0.002BTC.
5258  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum still safe on Windows 7 OS, after Microsoft support ends? on: January 28, 2020, 08:32:57 AM
It is not recommended to keep running Windows 7, because you might be at risk if some critical vulnerability is exploited and not patched by Microsoft.
I think you already have the answer hete.

However if I elaborate my understanding then it's like:
As long as you will use the latest version of Electrum you should be fine from Electrum side. But if your windows gets infected and if that targets your electrum file then it's easier for hackers or such people to steal your information. Hance you are risking your money by using an older version of OS.

5260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction dispute on: January 27, 2020, 08:27:37 PM
Or the receiver is just trying to make the sender fool. Sometimes scammers can do this trick thinking that they may take some advantages from it. But I really hope in this case, it's a misunderstanding.

Perhaps he used a web wallet or an exchange platform (seems the case here)  and it has a problem, still not your fault. He should contact the customer's support
Taking about web wallet or any exchange, I never seen or known any of them to not showing a tx that has at least 6 conformation for Bitcoin of course.
