As the Chinese are preparing to sell, it will trigger a chain reaction of panic selling. The Australian auction will cause the initial massive dump and we could even drop under $200 if the market is as weak as i suspect it is. There may still he a little profit to make here but be careful, these will be bloody streets soon.
so far your prediction of panic meant stable price from June 4 to June 11 in the range of $570 then rising to $690-$700 and stay at $680-$690 stable for 2 days before rising above $700 and now we are at $730 and still rising day by day. http://www.coindesk.com/price/#2016-06-03,2016-06-16,close,bpi,USDso thank you for teaching me the meaning of panic, dump, and drop to under $200 which by the way you have been saying for over a year lol

Don't worry. I have it worse. I'd been holding coins for over 2 years with very little movement... I sold 100 April 30 and then my last 100 at the end of May, just days before the big rise started. Normally I'd buy back in, but my money is tied up in mutual funds now. The crazy thing is that I didn't even really want to sell. I just got an accepted offer on a house, though, and I need the cash to sit in an account for 90 days so I could get a mortgage. So far, I figure I've missed out on about $60,000 just from the past two weeks of gains. And there is nothing I can do but sit there and watch. ouch. that's gotta hurt. Do you have any plans on getting back in? i really don't get this! how can someone invest this much money in something (100 BTC in this case) and have no idea about what he is doing, hold it for "two years" then sell at low prices!! i mean if you want to sell, you should sell when the loss is small not when it is at max loss and sell just before the rise!

how can you know if they give the result of manipulation of the trade? I think wasn't important as long as the price continues to rise and we are careful with the price falls so we not get suffered great losses.
this is only good as long as the price is rising, it is obvious that everybody is happy about a rise. but what if the price reaches a maximum because of a bubble, and the this bubble burst and price falls down? that would be bad, the same as the time up until now (i am talking about the fall from 1100 to 200) although that was slow one, but those days was pretty bad.

all the cloudmining sites will go bankrupt sooner or later because they are not really good businesses and they can't both profit and give their investors any profit. besides almost all of them are scams or will turn into scams to run away with the most money they can get.

that is a nice thought but it really isn't possible withing one month*. also there is a very long argument about bitcoin going to $10,000 or not at all here in this board that you can refer to in order to see if it is even possible ever.

I will start buying of course. I will never turn my back on Bitcoin as it brought me so much good in a matter of years. I'll keep showing my support!
I also would do it and the fact is that you can than buy the bitcoin for some cheap dollars. Mostly the bitcoin will get back up so that is why buying a lot makes it good than. many investors will start buying if they see even a slightest dips, that is why the volume is much higher in dips and price can't go down so much. it is because of these buy orders that come in when they see the change.

this happens everywhere, what you gonna do about it! and manipulation is not only restricted to bitcoin but also it is available in all the markets, the form of it might be different but it always exists. if you can notice it and make a profit from it then good, and if you can't just stay away from trading!
besides i should add that there is a totally different time than the time of willy bot of mtgox!

one way is this: step 0) timing is everything! step 1) you should be someone who can affect the media as an example i can name dicks like Mike Hearn and Craig Wright. step 2) you spread some kind of FUD, in short crap, about bitcoin and how it is going to die. or how you are satoshi and how you are going to "dump" your coins soon, in other words create panic. step 3) start buying cheap coins step 4) peanut butter jelly time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVPNXsc4wsQ

Pay the fee.
(right now, with 18,517 tx in wait, the 100% possibility for next block inclusion is 0,0005 BTC which is $0,341, versus the "usual" $0,0682).
34 cents for the honor of making a guaranteed transaction? If that keeps up then I hope some merchants start accepting LTC. I'm not willing to pay that. If this is a spam attach, which I wouldn't find unlikely, attackers are also paying a high price to flood the network. It sure is the right time to make transactions more expensive for everyone in terms of FIAT value as the price has gone up but it certainly won't last long. Mempool size in my node is already almost 30% down from yesterday. It's not a spam attack. People are using bitcoin thanks to the increased price. Interest has increased. Bitcoin can't scale because certain people *cough* have refused to implement a blocksize increase in favor of their own egos and convoluted plans. To address the OP, it's obviously not good, and if Bitcoin could scale I'm willing to bet the price would have broken over 1k by now. yeah it is not a spam attack but in addition to what you said about the people's interest i think the reason for so many unconfirmed transactions is the long time difference between finding blocks. as i am writing this comment, last block (416413) was found 44 minutes ago, and if you ask me only 27K unconfirmed is so small in this time!
|
|
|
Sure I can provide all 3 unconfirmed transaction ID: These 2 are the free transactions: fa2962af69964ea3cccb8f8f4fe859bd934c5a1e51a3acffce8be85a50e4e3e7 cdce6f30ebe7679fe99b90ad512e2be3c2b151af929e554fd6a92641b721b4cd
This is the one at the Bitcoin core recommended fee at the time: 68783b31ca5e4f9eb8e872405a59dafc0be8dac8685ce069766f46e576630dba
priority:the fact or condition of being regarded or treated as more important than others. so when you are medeuim (the two first tx with 1000 satoshi fee) it means there are many others in front of you which are more important, so miners choose those instead, not your tx . the estimated time is a code bc.i has which is based on the olden times that is why it says withing 6 blocks.

I heard that this summer there will be a Halving, where the price of Bitcoin will either go up or down. In your opinion, the Bitcoin will increase or decrease? how much? The Halving is a good thing or not?
halving being good or bad is a totally different argument that is related to the inflation rate and to put it simply the fact that there shouldn't be unlimited coins being created. but the price is something else. the supply and demand aside, the hype of the halving and also the fact that there are many investors buying bitcoin and a lot of whales who have been accumulating it will bring bitcoin up to $1000 at the very least.

Hard work pays for everything one day for sure Talking about myself I will be collecting up bitcoins as much as possible up to 5 years as I am a student now and i do not need to expense my money more so after 5 years I will sell them all, with real cash and start my own small business this is the best way of making money. i have started the same way. i earned some small money from doing small jobs and then used that money to make more money then i did the same with bitcoin, earned some satoshi from faucets and signature campaign as a newbie and invested those i different businesses until i found the best thing for myself.

Bitcoin transactions are the fastest global transactions ever created in the history of history. ...
Only if you completely ignore all the other cryptos, of which Bitcoin is one of the slowest. Most secure maybe, but definitely not the fastest. True. There are other coins based on bitcoin that are now faster. And some very old systems are also fast. For example Hawala (حِوالة) , which means transfer, is an Islamic banking system based on trusted brokers. It is basically instantaneous but requires profound trust. Satoshi and I don't like the need to trust. But anyway, good point. hehe, it is not instantaneous , it has two forms and both of them take at least 1 hour (1 to 3 hours) to confirm. but the only good thing about it is that it is free, there is zero fees for sending this kind of transaction

Hello, newbie here. I wish to update the software as the version 1.9.5 takes a long time to syncronize when booting up.
i may be wrong but upgrading has nothing to do with the time it takes to load the wallet (won't change it) it takes longer because your mywallet file size is getting big. Can I leave the old version open while installing and moving the wallet to the new version of Electrum? Thanks
what do you mean by "leave open" you mean keep the old version? if so then you can't because electrum is being installed in the same directory as the old version and will replace the old electrum files. but also since you are upgrading from 1.x to 2.x your mywallet file will also be upgraded. read more about it here: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/faq.html#how-to-upgrade-electrumso be careful before upgrading, make a backup from your wallet file and also your seed before upgrading.

lol, why is there so much racism in this topic! Chinese or not the price would have risen sooner or later, it is not only them who are buying bitcoin. or where you ignorant when whales were accumulating at an stable price in the range of ~$450 , or even when they put up big sell walls or even dumped bitcoin and spread FUD to keep the price at their desirable range below $500 to accumulate more. and now it is time all those whales to get their reward. this guy only gets it and his topic is pushed to second page because of spam nonsense in other topics: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1498855.0

I believe that in the longrun you will almost certainly make a profit, or at least not a loss. The risky thing is this combination ; 1) Someone wins big AND someone invests BIG before you regain your loss. Then your percentage will get much lower and it will be very hard to make money backk
i agree, there was a chart about one of these gambling casinos which showed their profit over time (i will add it later here if i find the chart again) but anyways it showed dips in the profitability of the casino which indicated a big loss by the casino (big win by the players) but eventually it came back to normal although it takes a longer time if the dip is big too but in the long run it will become profitable again.

We have already been over 700 before though only for a very short period of time, china market shows numbers over 700 dollars, do you think we will see an increase in price soon?
I think that after such a big growth there has to be a dump to 600 or so though i think that we will still manage to break through 700 wall and climb up to like 730 dollars before a dump
yes, it has already been broken and the support has been tested. now that we are back down there will be a bigger rise soon after this very short period of below $700 before we break the resistance again and go higher than this mark.

if there was an easy way of making profit from gambling then everybody would have been rich by now, because there are simply a lot of games and gamblers here who can win big if there was such a method available!
the easier way of making profit from gambling is if you are the owner of the casino not the player. and even then it is not easy because there are many factors to be a successful casino owner.
