5241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Emperor of Crypto or Victim of greed on: August 25, 2018, 04:10:02 PM
By the end of 2017, with the price approaching $20,000, Bitcoin became the giant of Crypto world.
We have not forgotten analyzes of those days. $1 million Bitcoin, the destruction of Fiat currencies and strange forecasts are only part of the news of those days that maybe a bit FUNNY today.
More than half of 2018 passed.
Do you think Bitcoin will remain the emperor of Crypto?
What is your analysis?

Bitcoin will remain and will takes more than years for other coins to catch up with the price and value. This was the first crypto currency, thus Bitcoin has more credibility than any other coins in the market. Unless a huge flaw has been found and can not be fixed or some other coins have been made that solves each and every problem we face today when using cryptp, bitcoin will remain the top currency forever
5242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever stop depending on fiat currency? on: August 25, 2018, 04:06:59 PM
If everyone in the world gets into crypto and cryptocurrency will become an official global currency, do you think bitcoin then will stop depending on fiat currency? Or will it just co-exist with fiat?
Bitcoin does not depend on fiat. We use it to measure the value of the coin. Here valuation using fiat does not mean it is dependent on fiat. It is totally independent of fiat influence. We just use it as a reference frame to measure the value of the coins. We can also measure it using some other coins too, but does that mean it is dependent on that coin? Nope. And yes, the chances of them co-existing is very high.
5243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me understand the cryptocurrency market on: August 25, 2018, 03:54:12 PM
The market is actually very unpredictable. You won't know when the price will rise high or dive down below. Though previous price trends are followed and the charts pattern does repeat, but it is not the same in every case and should not solely rely on the charts. The market is mainly controlled by the mass people and it is the people who determine the price (considering no such thing as "manipulation" exists). If you want to join the market and invest, look for coins that you think have potential is quite undervalued.
5244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australians can pay bills in Cryptocurrency! on: August 25, 2018, 03:44:55 PM
A good move, but the only problem is that its a third party being involved that helps users to pay their bills. This does not mean that the provider is directly accepting payments in crypto. Most probably the third party will accept the crypto and will pay the real provider in fiat. But we want people to directly accept crypto and get rid of fiat. I know this is not possible right now, but none the less, a good move made by cointree.
5245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It’s getting hard to pump and dump Bitcoin on: August 25, 2018, 12:56:47 PM
Yeah, sad news. Let's hope that by the winter, bitcoin will return to the mark of $ 20,000, and better than $ 50,000, but with today's course it seems unreal.
Expecting the price to jump to $50,000 isn't a good thing. A stable rise is better than skyrocketing. And reaching this goal requires more people to invest and adopt bitcoin. As more people starts to adopt bitcoin, we will see a gradual rise of the price. Sudden jump would just make people confuse, cause people to panic ( like they wouldn't be sure if they should hold or cash out) and FUD will start spreading all around. Do  we want that?
5246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any reason why i must continue Investing in Altcoins? on: August 25, 2018, 09:42:13 AM
If you are aiming for just some quick profit, then get yourself prepared to earn some huge losses too. Altcoins are the most unstable coins compared to bitcoin. The price rise or falls quickly without any prior notice. The price change are also some what different than bitcoins price change. As bitcoin price starts to rise, we see the price of altcoins starting to drop initially. But eventually starts to rise unless bitcoin starts to fall. So be careful and know what you are doing.
5247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you properly market your ICO? on: August 24, 2018, 09:54:51 PM
Never launched an ICO or have been directly involved with them, but i have seen how different developers promoted their ICO through different marketing strategy. The easiest one for them was to pay people as a reward to promote their ICO through different forums and social media. These are usually called "bounty programs" and is quite the popular way nowadays. Another was is to buy advertisement space on different crypto related places.
5248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Guys, just hold.. We can agree on a few things. on: August 24, 2018, 09:48:55 PM
Sometimes just holding isn't the best option. It is better to let go your investment buy selling off the coins as it will open/create more opportunity to invest on other potential coins than the one you are holding. Also if the dip seems to be serious, you can always exit out and renter once the price falls to its minimum. This as a result will help you rake some profits as the price starts to go back up without you going through loss recovery phase.
5249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest all my savings in cryptocurrencies on: August 24, 2018, 06:17:18 PM
Am thinking of investing my savings instead keeping it in the bank,is cryptocurrency a wise choice?
I wouldn't recommend you to invest all your savings on crypto-currency. You should keep in mind that crypto currency investment is filled with risk. There is no guarantee about the future price. You might end up falling in a dilemma about cashing out your investment or not when you are in dire need of money, specially during price fall. Better to keep some fiat backup just so that you remain financially safe.

7. If it is foriegn money invest it gamble do not just save
-snip-
What do you mean by foreign money? And how would you related it with gambling? It is a very bad idea. And since when did gambling become a form of investment? You can never consider gambling as a form of investment since it is considered as a game of chance. That is, it fully depends on  luck. Gambling will just cause you to lose all your saving and bring nothing good.
5251  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks Consume Over Three Times More Energy Than Bitcoin! on: August 23, 2018, 09:21:38 PM
-snip-
All the electricity that the bitcoin network consumes is not wasted, it is a necessity to keep the blockchain safe.
Fargoway never said anything about wastage of electricity. Not sure how you got that impression.
Anyways, bank processes way more transactions than bitcoin does. Don't forget that only few percentage of people around world are actually using bitcoin to conduct day to day transactions, where as almost every people around the world are using banks to conduct transactions. So the comparison that is being done is actually absurd.
5252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not respond to FUD threads! on: August 23, 2018, 08:15:18 PM
If supporters of crypto currency does not point out that the thread is just a way of spreading FUD, then newbies will fall for it. It is better to reply to those post and let others know that its just a shit post that should be avoided. Moreover, don't you think those post actually helps us to filter out the weak ones and just the profit grabbers from the market?
5253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning to trade on: August 23, 2018, 07:50:13 PM
New tips for the people who keep asking that how they should learn the crypto currency trading : They should start using the bots straight away because if they cant go over the internet and learn the trading by themselves instead of asking the questions here then there is no point in that question. Just help yourself with a bot which will get you some good trades done all the time and you can have happy trades periodically. You just need to buy license from the trusted sources and then you can trade whenever you want.
That would be the worst advice? Why would someone who knows nothing about the trading market rush into botting? They probably will end up messing and losing everything. Let them learn first how to trade. Let them execute the trades first. Then they can set up the bots to do it automatically. At least they will know whats going on and will be able to utilize the bots at its best.
5254  Other / Off-topic / Re: crypto in the present moment? on: August 23, 2018, 07:06:13 PM
Always blaming the market manipulators isn't the best thing to do. And how sure are you that the fluctuations are due to manipulators? To be honest, if its the manipulators who are manipulating the market and you know that, then you can time in to take full advantage of the manipulation and make massive profits. Sometimes it is better to let go off your coins by selling them even if the price is low. It actually opens up the opportunity to invest on other coins or reinvest when the price further drops.
5255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to get in and get out in Bear/Bull Markets on: August 23, 2018, 05:58:50 PM
One important lesson to learn as far as cryptocurrency goes is that,  you can not time the market no matter how skillful you in reading chart and graphs, you can only control your trading and investment entry and exit!
Of course you can't time it correctly you just read the charts and graph. The charts and graphs only speaks of the past. You should keep your self aware of the current events too. These events have a huge influence on the market. Events can trigger the price to go down (an exchange hack) or go up (lets say ETF approval). Also "expectations" can also lead the price to go above or fall.

5257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Don't invest more than you can afford to lose", meaning explained! on: August 22, 2018, 09:47:33 PM
AKA. If you are worth 10k don't put all 10k in. Put $200 bucks  Grin
Not really. If you can afford to lose your whole $10,000 USD, then go for it. But if losing your whole investment might cause issues and problems on your life, then stay away from it. Invest as much as you can afford to lose. Just imagine what you will have to go through if you invest your whole money which is actually your life savings. You will be going through emotional trauma which won't be good for your life.
5258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the SEC will approve CBOE's Bitcoin ETF? on: August 22, 2018, 09:38:14 PM
By all the signs out there, looks like they will still give excuses and deny the ETF approval for now. No matter how much regulations and policies are put up, they will still give excuses to deny the proposal, at least for now. The market is still not yet ready. The price manipulation is causing people to stay away form bitcoin. We need more stronger support and adoption which will in turn help us get ETF approval.
5259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: to many poor people? on: August 22, 2018, 09:34:57 PM
I'm really interested in the investing.
But right now I don't have any money to invest, but I'm looking forward for that. So untill I'll get chance to invest somewhere I'm trying to make some money also by hunting in the Bounty campagns. Despite the fact that I dont have any money right now I always follow markets and also I'm trying to analyse projects and understand which of them are going to success.
If you don't have any money to invest, then don't think too much about it. Only invest if you think you can afford. Risking too much of the current (required capital to live) might put you in danger. And honestly speaking, bounty isn't the best way to invest. That will be pure time waste. The better thing to invest your time on rather than spending it on bounty is to look for a moderately paying real life job. The constant flow of salary can be used to save up and invest on crypto.
5260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to protect your wallet myetherwallet.com ??? on: August 22, 2018, 09:31:34 PM
The main condition of purse security - do not provide private keys to other people who do not know well enough to avoid fraud.
Lol, are you serious? Even if he knows how to handle "fraud" (don't even know what you mean by it over here), you should no way share your private keys with other person. You never know who might end up hacking you. Its your wallet, so its your responsibility to hold it till your death.

Do not store the keys and passwords on the computer (I keep everything on a flash drive)
The password must be complex
Even if you do store everything on a flash drive, do keep in mind that all electronic devices deteriorate day by day. So it better to keep multiple backups and keep storing in on new flash drive after a few years have passed to avoid any kind of unwanted data loss.
Also, don't make the password too complex or you might end up forgetting it.
