5241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: March 14, 2020, 11:29:44 PM

Do you think Wilder will retire if he loses again?

It will be devastated on Wilder's part if he loses, and might be contemplating retirement specially if he loss by another KO, Wilder already 34 years old, so maybe. However, he can still make money even after he losses, still a lot of options in the heavyweight division. The money will not big as compare if he has the belt, but still good money if he can command at least $500k - 1$ million per fight even after a loss to Fury.

Retiring is a personal decision but most boxers would not retire as long as they can still make money.
Look at Manny Pacman, he is already 41 years old and still fighting, he loss some fights in his career but that didn't make him stop.

Let's get real here, this people are still fighting for money, they'll retire when they can't sell anymore .

Right, still a lot of opportunity for him to face, Whyte, Ruiz Jr and still make money. Or even face Anthony Joshua, 60-40 split and make millions. Maybe he will just rest and reset and then fight another day.

He is not a damage good as well, the worst that we have seen him get bloodied is in the second fight. So I'm sure he still has a lot in his tank if ever he losses to Tyson Fury in the trilogy.

For the record, this is the proposed amendments by Cobra:

https://github.com/bitcoin-dot-org/bitcoin.org/issues/1325

Personally, I like the audiobook version, it is very convenient to have a copy or at least go to that youtube videos if you wanted to get back and clear some thoughts about bitcoin itself and improved your understanding of Satoshi's creation.
5243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Game Over? on: March 14, 2020, 09:45:24 PM
Game over for some shitcoins, yes, there able to sustained the bearish trend of 2018-2019, but the recent corona outbreak will really sink them even more.

But for those altcoin in the top 10? I think they can still survived in this kind of scenario, this is just my opinion though. Bitcoin has been going into a lot of waves of selling and buying, and this could be true for the best altcoin out there, but for shitcoins who are already dying? maybe this is the final nail in the coffin.
5244  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: March 14, 2020, 01:37:56 PM
That's why if you wanted to be a holder, you need to have a lot of mental toughness. What I mean is that you should not just look at the everyday price because you might be thinking that you are not making money because of the worsening market conditions.

But as traders, you really have a chance to gain profit, but you need to have the expertise and the knowledge, otherwise you might lose in the beginning and became to question yourself and then you felt you are just wasting money and time and easily will get burned and quit.
5245  Other / Archival / Re: CVirus Token on: March 14, 2020, 09:14:29 AM
Lol, you guys, please stop this, you are just trying to scam people out of their hard earn money here.

I have seen lots of token related to corona virus and everyone of them turns out to be scam, so what makes this project different from the rest?

It's obviously that the people behind are trying to ride the hype of the corona virus scare and I do hope that you realise what you are doing is very wrong?

What's your concept? Proof of Death?
5246  Economy / Speculation / Re: A hard manipulation? on: March 14, 2020, 07:57:53 AM
Probably investors are selling because:

1. They are in a panic and wanted to have cash in their wallet
2. Investors moving or shifting their funds around crypto-> traditional market and vice-versa
3. Whales putting a lot of sell order to manipulate the price

As of this time, everything has settled down, so we are all good, but then again if this is manipulation one must be careful, just saying.
5247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin prices could have gone down to Zero - True or False? on: March 14, 2020, 06:58:17 AM
Lol, bitcoin going to zero? I can't think of any reason at all the will pull the price to that level, even if all 21 millions BTC are mined, bitcoin will still be price. it could be Bitmex intentionally pull the plug, but it doesn't mean that they have intentions to bring the price to its knee, and I don't think that they will succeed if that is their original plan.
5248  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go? on: March 14, 2020, 06:27:57 AM
At least today we have seen some relieved, the market is going green and we didn't fall to $3k or even lower as others have predicted. But still the market situation is uncertain, if this is tied to the corona virus scare then we should expect more people going to sell off to have cash on hand to buy some basic needs like food and water.

So we need to be very cautious, of course, it is good to see the market rebounding, but we can really tell if this is just momentarily peak because they see that the price of most crypto are very cheap. But what if in the next coming days, we see worst situations? maybe we can see some massive sell off again.
5249  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc dropping more then 39% in 24/h - on: March 14, 2020, 05:30:17 AM
Panic selling and converting their bitcoin together with this global pandemic issue we are currently having is expected and most are not surprised by the market's sudden dump. Now all coins have all green percentage now and currently recovering from the dump, that dump was a really really good chance to cop more coins congrats to people who bought that time.

It looks like everything has settled down in the last 24 hours, market seems to recover and almost every coin are green. But the price is still cheap at and a discount and could still be considered as a good time to buy to give ourselves a chance to get a good ROI in the future.

And for those who have bought around $4k, obviously, its profit already. But if I'm in your shoes, better just hold and wait for a good price to cash it out.
5250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum going back to under 200$? on: March 10, 2020, 10:31:56 PM
Still holding, just $202 now, as per coinmarketcap, still it didn't go down very hard as I expected.
It only means that investors didn't sell their stash because of the corona virus scare or even the plus token dumping.

And it looks like the whole market has recovered, all coins are green, after 3 days of bloodshed. This is good, at least everything has settled down, and the price seems to be a good buying opportunity again.
5251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do ? on: March 10, 2020, 12:29:27 PM
Some might be tempted to take advantage of the bug.
However, when the gambling operators know that you have exploited the said bug, you might not be able to withdraw your funds, just saying.

You're lucky if you can withdraw it without raising a flag, but most gambling site will take a look of every withdrawal, specially if you withdraw like more than 1 BTC to make sure that everything is right.
5252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was $3,871 on this day - 1 year ago on: March 10, 2020, 12:03:30 PM
Not good way for memorize what happen with bitcoin price last year or last two year because give bad effect for us, how many people have sell bitcoin with lower price and looks most disappointed when seeing bitcoin today back to higher price and take much profit.

What do you mean will give us bad effect?
On the contrary we can see how far have we move since last year so I don't know how you will be disappointed by it.

Again, it's really base on what is your outlook of crypto, majority of us here, look for the long term growth. But as much as we wanted to make more profit, we need more time for the market to really take out because the growth is not parabolic.
5253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Crypto Community Be Worried About the Oil Crash? on: March 10, 2020, 10:13:45 AM
Hello, guys! What do you think? Can crypto and the oil industry be connected?

I think it's not just about crypto enthusiast that should be worried with the ongoing oil war.

I personally believed that everything is connected here, global stock market, crypto's and other form of investments such as gold and oil. One scary though, is that we might be closer to another global recession because of what is happening around the world.
5254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 10, 2020, 09:36:38 AM
I don't know if it's only my perception but I constantly notice people who expect continuous growth. Whether it is bitcoin, crypto,
stock, they only see one side of things and never the opposite.

Simply because they wanted to see their investments grow overtime.
Do you want to wait 10 years to see your money goes from $1k-$100K?
Or like two years?

Yes, things go up but they can go down, and going down does not mean the stock/crypto is dying. It means it is alive!
So please stop all these recession & bitcoin going down topics and be wise

Yes, there's no such thing as parabolic growth in any market. That's why patience is the key here. If you don't have that kind of attitude, sooner or later you will be burned easily. That's why I believed that investment is not for everyone, specially those who don't understand how it works in the first place and always think a short term growth.
5255  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: March 10, 2020, 09:12:12 AM
Seriously not a big deal if you ask me as long as they wash it but burning? Really? Why would you feel the need to burn it? I mean we are talking about burning paper money just so it doesn't spread virus around to people. You can literally wash it on high heat and/or you can literally reprint it if you have it because you have the exact same technology and send it back to community as well.

I guess the notion that paper money can spread the virus is one reason why they think that it is the right thing to do at this point as the spread is unstoppable.

On top of that you can burn as much as you want but that is not going to change the fact that there could be corona infected people out there who are touching money in circulation right now, so why would that stop now? They will continue with that, what will south Korea do? Burn ALL the cash in their nations? That is not a chance and they can't do that so it is futile attempt.

Of course, that is why they think that they can burn all their paper money and replace it with a new minted one. I really can't say though it this is going to be an effective method to minimised the spread of the virus.
5256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not blame it on Corona outbreak on: March 10, 2020, 08:36:05 AM
Oh well, there's a lot of going on not just in crypto but in the whole world as well. There are political tensions, trade and oil wars and lastly the effect of the corona virus. So in a case, everything is connected, traditional markets and crypto currency.

We can't say that it is all about the corona outbreak, but definitely, it is one contributory factor that really led the whole market crashing down because of fear amongst people, not just ordinary or average folks, but even to those investors alike.
5257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: March 9 2020, Start of Bearish Season on: March 10, 2020, 07:52:50 AM
Is that how accurate they are now in predicting  the start of the bearish trend? Lol.

As far as I know, when we have tested the five digits and then keep on retreating the following day, it only means that people are just waiting for a good price to sell their bitcoins. However, the worsening global and geo political situation really put a lot of dent on the price of traditional market and + the covid-19 scare. But still, we can't really predict the price movement, we could recover and bounce back in the next coming days when everything settles down.
5258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we are so close to HALVING !!!are these dumps CONNECT to halving time??? on: March 09, 2020, 12:44:06 PM
as u know we having next halving in 3. but as u know price get down to 7k  and break so many resistance support lines. the question is how much bitcoin will go down before halving ?! and what will be the price for resistance support before price go up?!and also what is the reason of these dumps?!

The only reason of the sudden dump is the corona virus scare and in the last 24 hours, speculation on the plus token scam moving their funds and most probably cashing it out.

We really can't say when this down trend will stop, it could go to $6k tomorrow or bounce back and recover to $9k. And there is no connection whatsoever to the halving, we need to wait how everything will settle down in the next couple of days. I would also suggest that everyone should stop and not to panic, we have been tested before, no need to push that sell button.
5259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's break our boundaries with Bitcoin on: March 09, 2020, 10:57:57 AM
The only problem I see is that bitcoin is not yet adopted globally, at least in my place.

I can't find a single store that readily accepts bitcoin in lieu of fiat so I'm not sure how are we going to break the barrier, unless, overnight many of merchants and retail stores both off-line and on-line suddenly decided to offer bitcoin and other crypto as payment option because they are afraid of the corona virus pandemic.
5260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PSA : Remember to always back up your Private key / Seed! on: March 09, 2020, 09:43:43 AM
Paper will be your weapon here.
A sheet of paper to be exact.
Me? I have a small notebook near my computer and all seeds, private keys is there.
Another copy is hidden somewhere in my house just for back up in case something bad happens.

That's all. Never save it on your computer also with internet on it. Even in your phones.
If lazy, print it out and keep it somewhere dry and protect with plastic.

If I may add to that, for better security back it up on some places, maybe in your mother's use or get some safety deposit box in a bank.

Also if you back up your private key in your desktop or laptop, you need to encrypt it so that you will add another later of protection.

Another option is to get crypto steel, there's a lot in the market right now.
