5261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Exchanges - Verification Process? on: January 13, 2021, 02:56:47 AM
I see there are still some small and shady ones out there. Or at least very small in volume.

How's the verification process for them?

I'm asking because I've been away for some years and I remember the times when you could open an exchange account in 5 minutes and start trading.

Are those times long gone now with the big guys?

Thanks.
There are some exchanges that instill doing verification and shady KYC process. But lately, most of traders are fond of using decentralized exchange. Well maybe you been hybernate for so long that this trend of defi is now becoming mainstream from chain to chain. Right now, the most commonly used is the Uniswap. I've been seeing a lot of other dex becoming noticed and maybe later on there will be more to come. Welcome back from long time sleeping.
5262  Other / Meta / Re: does it make sense to report posts like this written by higher ranked member? on: January 12, 2021, 04:05:15 AM
Many of my unhandled reports are of this type but are written by higher (than Newbie) ranked member. So, two-line useless spam text written by a full member, whether they will be removed?
I had too. But it doesn't bother me when I reported high ranked and got a unhandled or bad report. Maybe it is. But sometime there are cases post reported also didn't got noticed by mods or marked as bad but clearly it was also considered spam.

Well mods have different say on kind of posts that's to be sure. I've say this cause it happened on this situation. where a post wasn't deleted and the reporter got a marked bad.

Good thing I'm not concern about my report accuracy. I've just reporting even though I have few bads.
5263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap vs Sushiswap - Which is better? on: January 11, 2021, 06:39:48 AM
What do you guys think? For those people who have tried these different apps, which one was better for you?
Tried both. For me there is pros and cons with these two dex. I've been using uniswap and so far it's more efficient, but with the rise of the fees using it. I think I'm looking on some dex that has solved this but apparently uniswap list of tokens are more in demand especially on some dex only few tokens were supported and injected with liquidity. Sushiswap is also good. They have some improvement and their liq is started to grow. But as I've mentioned they don't support majority of tokens. Just an observation.
5264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you buying right now ? on: January 11, 2021, 05:57:55 AM
Nope. Definitely waiting for a bargain sale. With its current price it's too expensive, I'll patiently waiting for a major pull back and correction. Its not good to fomo if the price is like that. Institutional players fomo at high price so the reatracement will probably take time, or its like we never gonna see bitcoin below 20k anymore as more enter the market at this level. Anyway we don't know what could happen so better to take advantage of its volatility and do leverage trading.
5265  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which platform offers the most for your BTC? on: January 11, 2021, 04:36:33 AM
Check out my response to same topic you've raised. I think you should closed the one you posted. Since you only raise similar topic.

Exchanging BTC to fiat...who offers the the closest to mid-market rate and the lowest fees (if any)?
Binance p2p this is the most useful conversion to fiat with a decent rate. The verdict is only if they supported your fiat money. But they had a lot of supported currency already and directed to your bank.

I'm always using p2p and so far no regret on the fees and rates I've been exchanging it.

Locked one of your thread. Or this can be considered spam.

5267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk ranking difficulty on: January 11, 2021, 04:11:39 AM
Ranking up shouldn't really be top priority, but gaining knowledge about Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies, trading and helping others should be.
You are right. But we can't deny that many of those newbies have their goal on climbing up the ladder as priority. Of course their goal is to increase their rank for some bounty. But lately been seeing a lot of newbies that improved their post and introduced interesting topics.

OP as much as you wanted to remind newbies, I think they are busy on the bounty section looking for Gem. Only if this kind of topic is not off topic there. So they can see post or at least read this.

5268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Crypto Exchange for Margin Trading with high Margin amounts on: January 10, 2021, 09:26:06 AM
Here my question, do anyone know another great crypto exchange like MXC, where I get higher margin amounts? Would like to buy OCEAN on margin (but not 3.5k capped margin on Binance)
Well that's you can get from Margin binance trading. That's a lot already, if you have spare cash then do the future instead the margin features. Borrowing and repaying could be sour if you ruin your trades especially if the market is so volatile.

Generally, trades with leverages x50 or x100 is almost suicide, IMO. Such the trade and leverages are created to enrich exchanges and whales. Retailed traders are liquidated by such trades.
If you don't know the market movements. We have technical charts that guide us. Suicide it is for those who just open up an order not having confidence of the possible move. But for those who knows 80% what will happened based on chart could be called legend for opening a leverage with huge such as 100x.

5269  Economy / Speculation / Re: 50K on the way and I am Still Alive on: January 10, 2021, 08:52:53 AM
I AM STILL ALIVE
Started this topic back in those days
Topic is Locked but just wanted to inform all of those friends who were concerned about my whereabout
I AM STILL HERE
&
50 K is ON THE WAY
I applauded OP for his perseverance. It seems you are gonna hit that goal. I've read the topic and some comments there from users are probably regretting what they said before. Like a guy mentioned that it's impossible, but see where we are now almost closed to 50k. It's quite interesting to see reminicse post like that which when you go back you'll find it highly appreciating for being there. Then there we are 50k otw and yes you are still here. Not just 50k but could also actually reach 100k if this bull market continues.
5270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BUMO - Public Blockchain for Ubiquitous Value Transfer on: January 10, 2021, 08:06:10 AM
It seems the project doesn't update much information. I've visited your Twitter and it looks like your latest post was still 3rd week of December. Also when I checked your coins on coingecko, and go on your social telegram it redirected to your telegram with 5k members. Which is a dead one I think. Your telegram attached here on this thread has few members like 800 plus but Ive seen engagement from your admin unlike the 5k subs. Whats that mean, you abandoned already that social group? People gonna get confuse which is your used social group so better to clarify this. Some will thought its a scam so better explain or informed which one is your account. Or did coingecko listed a fake one?
5271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If a BTC portfolio gains millions of dollars... on: January 10, 2021, 07:46:29 AM
If a BTC portfolio gains millions of dollars, is it really that easy to just sell them on the exchange? They just let you deposit millions into your bank account? Or what do you do when you want to cash out?
Quite confusing inquiry. Did you mean about the profit gains or the asset containing the funds and the gains? Its not that they allow you to deposits. If your funds are clean and your level of kyc on a cex is allowed you on depositing it. Then there is no problem at all. I think cashing out I have no idea here cause I don't know any whales that cash out millions of dollars on the bank. But a friend of mine, cashing out small everyday to make it not suspicious on banks.

In our country banks are really strict if you got some big withdrawals they tend to locked your account until you gave an explanation about the funds.
5272  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Year in Review on: January 10, 2021, 03:39:39 AM
A statistical result that shows how incompetent trader you are with no proper risk management on each and every trade you make. Binance really knows how to make bad statistics to be special  Grin Cheers! (Just kidding)
More like a way to encourage people that they are good traders even though they have some big losses. Damn binance! White lies but seems good to appreciate what they are doing.

It's either I don't have time to research on it or I just take recommendations on one project but I don't think I will ever be successful in this kind of approach. I don't really know, Lol
Its quite risky mate. Can considered that as degen trade

Shorthand for Degenerate. Degen trading or Degen mode is when a trader does trading without due diligence and research, aping into signals and FOMO into pumps. A Degen Trader does not know about metrics like FDV or TVL nor do they care. They will buy because the asset logo looks cute, or because the slogan is memeable, or because some twit-famous anime girl on the internet says she's looking into crypto and the first two shill comments gets more likes than others. Essentially, a degen trader buys into an asset not because they see value, rather they do so with the belief that others will join in after them and speculate on the price swings.
Really hard compared to binance TA.
5273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The market is not your friend: Don't trade selfishly on: January 09, 2021, 11:01:38 AM
Nice guide. In trading stop-loss is the most useful tool for me. It always lessen the impact of possible losses. Unless there is a crash that happened prior to your set up that will easily make your funds liquidated.

I set stop loss at $38300, the market decreased below $38300 to $38230 but before I woke up, bitcoin was already at $38800 and rallied up to over $40000. Stop lose has its own disadvantages too.
Well you can't possibly know the possible closing price, you should increase your margin and don't do high leverage that have close liquidation call. This is highly risky since bitcoin moves very volatile at 1000 range. Dont sleep on your set if it still have an unsure set up of SL. But that's how risk works. Maybe that is only unfortunate event.
5274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitstamp starts to halt XRP trading on: January 09, 2021, 07:15:11 AM
There's no problem with it and it looks like the XRP whales are still pumping this coin even bunch of US exchange sites have started to delist XRP.
Actually I am also confuse with the market sympathy. Supposedly xrp is dumping already inspite of fud and bad news its been receiving on daily basis. But the price tend to pump even so. Not sure but it could be the Ripple owners doing this, as they are centralized anyway. With current ATH of 0.72 last few weeks, it's not that hard to pump it again going back to a more decent price from its super low price.

Curious why Binance still clinging with it. But volume still goods.
5275  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Year in Review on: January 09, 2021, 06:27:20 AM
So we have the same persona. I haven't seen other persona though. Have you seen a different one?
Yes there are experienced trader and whale trader, not sure about others persona.

It's a matter of getting the right tokens. I haven't been successful in that kind of thing. I have always been the one with dumped value. Lol.

Finding a gem is really hard and most of us are having hard time and struggle. I'm always often participate on presale on uniswap and some of those are quite good projects that given me profits. However, picking major altcoin in binance you will really need a good TA to know which project can pumped next.
5276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do we do with finance? (Taxation and Taxes on Bitcoin) on: January 09, 2021, 03:20:33 AM
Yes you have to pay tax. Depending on what country you're in and what they see bitcoin and Cryptocurrency as will determine what rate you ay. Most likely it'll be some sort of capital gains tax if you invest and sell at a higher price or earn and sell at a higher price.
Not really into taxation, but for example, there is no tax on a particular country before that someone trading and selling bitcoin, then suddenly imposed a tax on cryptocurrency. Will his record in the past should be process too? Or did some any scenarios where prominent or known users encountered a situation like this where their funds are being investigated or wanted to imposed tax even so law or regulations are not yet being implemented?
5277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Made a minor rookie error regarding wallets, hoping to stop people doing same on: January 09, 2021, 02:49:50 AM
Little did I know that your seed words are the key to your BTC in ANY wallet with no need to transfer anything and therefore no fees.
Yes mate. As long as the wallet you used supported the format of your wallet. You can import it using your keys. But some wallets not supported the type of address you make so make sure you are aware with this.

It didn’t cost me a lot and I’m glad I figured it out now.

Glad that you discovered it. It's just a matter of searches via Google and you can easily know the process. BTW what wallet you are using for storing your btc?
5278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Increase Your Alertness Everytime on: January 08, 2021, 08:49:32 AM
Good luck to you mate, keep on waiting but I'll be selfish this time lmao. I'm hoping that this bull run will never end Grin *peace.
Haha. That's fine. It shows that you got some bags and I don't. I'm just taking about bitcoin, but I do hope this bill run will last of course. Since I have altcoins as well, however my wish will totally be affected if ever bitcoin crashes since most altcoins will definitely go dump.

Nonetheless, I agree to both of you. I guess that's the nature of human — focusing on a single bad thing done over the hundred of good things done.

Its not general but when you observed it. The norm is likely  this anyway.
5279  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more! on: January 08, 2021, 08:35:43 AM
Bitcoin is now hitting to $40K. Governments will take Bitcoin seriously and will regulate the exchanges much more as many US pensioners having money in the form of Bitcoin among them many are US soldiers, lawyers or government officials.
If ever they had bitcoins (government officials) those corrupt are probably will hide their asset and to avoid regulations themselves. They are simply like us that don't want to be under control but they wanted to control non government funds.

With the bitcoin growing price I think this will lead to a long debate and talks whether its much needed or what. But to be honest they can't do much to push this as bitcoin remains decentralized as much as possible.
5280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Casascius Coin (2011) on: January 08, 2021, 06:54:39 AM
Wow thats a rare investment collection to have. If I had those probably I kept it for along time. We Dont know what would be btc price in the future as it grows and being adopted widely.

I like to have those before but of course its not cheap to win that on a bid in the auction and now it's worth huge and could be more in the coming years. So I advise to keep it.
