Yes, I've always been puzzled why those at the top seem to hand out green trust with minute trades.  I've noticed some users such as The Pharmacist clearly stating that he will either *not* give any feed back, or, will only give neutral feedback/trust wall for his trades, so at least some of us agree with the OP on this one.
5262  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flag - "CryptoSparks" on: September 27, 2019, 10:45:48 PM
I wonder if anyone on DT1 has realised yet this thread has become a platform for CryptoSparks' services?
5263  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: September 27, 2019, 10:39:17 PM
They say only verified accounts can withdraw.

As I said in the flag thread that I created:

A question came up in a seperate thread asking if you knew what their terms were, why did you still sign up (but not complete the KYC process) ? Well, on novaexchange's website they had tiers for signing up, tier one was user name (plus AFAIK email which gets verified) - you can sign in and view the trading floor, but can't trade.  Tier two you register (user name+email) and can then upload crypto and trade *but* you cannot withdraw unless you complete the KYC - most importantly, you are given 12 months from when you first register to complete the KYC process.

I can't recall cryptopia ever bothering with a KYC process - it's the liquidators who are insisting on a KYC process.

Somehow I can't see a user "Joe Blogs" with an email address sissydaddy69@bightmehard13xxx.com is going to come forward to claim his crypto...  Roll Eyes

I would be interested to hear if novaexchange.com has sought a legal opinion as to whether or not their course of action would stand up to scrutiny in court.
5265  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nova Exchange - Standard Cryptocurrency Exchange on: September 27, 2019, 10:24:58 PM
NOt sure why people are tripping out? One who is tripping about KYC must need an assistant to read English and them understand the terms & conditions which was published an year or more ago.

That doesn't sound accurate. According to this thread, customers still didn't need to verify as of late February.

I assume people are tripping out because KYC is required to withdraw and some people can't get verified after months of trying.

Correct - under novaexchange's own terms on their website, a user can register and view the trading floor, (but not trade) by providing user name and email address, you can trade / upload crypto but not withdraw with a time-frame of twelve months from registration to complete the registration process.  Something a few of us have been unable to complete and therefore our crypto is being taken from us.  There are additional tiers to the the KYC process dependant on how much trade and or withdrawls a user does in a given period.

There are at least two emails that have been sent by nova to customers, unlike the website which has kept quiet about it, the email says (and I kid you not)

- Starting from October 28th until November 27th, there will be an equivalent to 0.0001 BTC custody fee charged at the time of the withdrawal request.

- Starting from November 28th until December 19th, there will be an equivalent to 0.005 BTC custody fee charged at the time of the withdrawal request.

- Starting from December 20th until January 27th, there will be an equivalent to 0.01 BTC custody fee charged at the time of the withdrawal request.

- From January 28th 2020 onwards the Nova website will be closed and users will have to get in touch with us to claim their assets.

- The custody fee will increase by 0.005 BTC every month on the 28th onwards.

Given they are dragging the chains to confirm people, until wouldn't you know it? You have to pay an aditional fee to withdraw your coins...

Sadly I can't see what isn't there (codes you are refering to)

As to "sold" I guess the only other label would be not sold/taken without being paid for/something other.??

It's a little dubious to say because (whoever) sold it in the first place makes it rarer...

Good luck to you if you can see what isn't there.

I don't think anyone will accept them as collateral. (that's not to say they aren't collateral, just I doubt anyone here will accept them as collateral for your loan application),.

5268  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping changes on some boards on: September 27, 2019, 07:27:09 AM
Seems that the marked for red trusted accounts is also wakening up. What else you can do with tagged high ranked accounts? Often those have earned some merit, and can be used for a bumping and make more bumping accounts if there is still smerit left. If you get an army of 30 accounts you can bump a thread once every day.

user Operatr was one of a dozen or so red trust UID's that were bought by txbtc (come to think of it, it might have been other way around) to "promote" something or other... perhaps now would be a good time for one of you good folks on the DT to spread some love and see if they've been abusing their merits?

An interesting set of responses - perhaps you can encourage them to respond here given they last posted in this, their official thread prior to the 18th of July.

Novaexchange was not hacked so users still have some hope of being able to withdraw their funds after completing KYC and they have sent alerts unlike Cryptopia who isn't ready to even disclose the KYC procedure and shut doors after saying that the altcoins were not hacked. Months have passed and no positive result.

I haven't heard of anyone successfully completing the novaexchange's KYC, but you're right that Cryptopia didn't even bother with KYC until it went into insolvency.
5271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GameCoin (GME) - Current version = v0.8.4.2 on: September 27, 2019, 07:04:40 AM
GameCoin (GME) is a cryptocurrency built on the premise of quick confirmation times and low transaction fees. It is purpose-built for the sports and gaming industries. From ticket sales to in-game purchases. Gamecoin is a community supported coin ready to play.

GameCoin is one of the first cryptocurrencies ever created and has a provable ledger dating back nearly 6 years. The Lindy Effect suggests that Gamecoin will be around much longer than all those centralized ICOs currently being churned out.

GameCoin keeps a record of every transaction in its blockchain, which is near impossible to alter because of the way it is secured through miners and a high hashrate. Essentially, the ledger GameCoin creates cannot be altered.

GameCoin is putting significant resources into R&D. The Developers brought the coin back to life to use as a testbed for a new consensus mechanism called Proof of Participation (PoP) which promises to bring sustainability to the cryptocurrency industry.

...and GameCoin also has a new thread (the second such thread) over yonder: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5165487.0

Hello guys...

it seems that I have lost track of this completely. So whats happening? Aptum or still Bullion?

Novaexchange has gone belly up - so one less exchange to trade on.  Not sure how many exchanges are left trading Bullion - anyone?

As I said on the other thread, I haven't been able to verify myself on novaexchange and now this:
By you "haven't been able to verify", do you mean you're unable to fill out the form or there's some sort of error when you submit your details? I contacted them via Trollbox about the issue and the mod said:

Old account "does not exist" from previous management, so created new user profile.  I could get part way through the KYC process, but it would always fail.

Novaexchange.com has announced they are closing their doors and you cannot withdraw your coins unless you have completed their KYC process.

If you are like me and have been unable to complete the KYC process, would you please support the flag against nova on BCT: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5187827.0

I have a theory - but I can't prove it & they wouldn't admit to it either...

cryptopia is history, it is not coming back

novaexchange.com has closed its doors without warning:

here comes the kicker:

They are going to walk away with a truck load of coins because people have been unable to verify themselves.

Yeap that is us.... We did it to prevent any malicious attempts Smiley

All good - as an extra layer of security perhaps you should check out the Stake your Bitcoin address here thread.

(but I wasn't joking when I said that I am unable to verify myself with your KYC program)

As I said on the other thread, I haven't been able to verify myself on novaexchange and now this:

Dear Nova Trader

The Board of Directors of the parent company has decided to set a new course for Nova and reshape the value offer into a new crypto trading experience. This means that on Monday, October 7, trading on Nova Exchange will cease and close. At the same time the Nova API will be deactivated.

The Nova Exchange terms & conditions are terminated. New terms & conditions are announced and will come into effect automatically 30 days from today's date (September 26, 2019).
The most important part of this message is this:

This is purely a Business Decision.
    There has been no hack.
    There has been no fraud.
There has not been any wrongdoing of any kind whatsoever.
Nova Exchange will not assume responsibility for swaps or forks starting from today onwards.

Goobit Group, that owns Nova, also operates the well known Swedish bitcoin exchange service BTCX. Starting from 2012, our team is among the best and the most experienced in the world in dealing with crypto assets. Now, even if we can’t disclose our exciting plans today, we can tell you that Nova, in some form, will enrich and play a key role in shaping the crypto future for the masses, however not in the shape and form that you know today.
What happens now?

Obviously you, as a trader, are encouraged to withdraw your funds as soon as possible. Our team stands ready to help you get a smooth withdrawal process, however, the rules regarding identification (KYC), as stated in the terms of service that you have accepted when opening your account, must, and will, stand.
No identification - No withdrawal

It is as simple as that. Even though trading will close, we must comply with the law, and make sure that all funds end up with its rightful owner.

The Nova platform will be open for regular withdrawals for one month after this announcement; that is until October 25 at 23:59 (CEST). After that date there will be additional fees charged, and we can’t guarantee at what rate we can accommodate your requests. It might take up to 30 days, depending on the load. So please make your withdrawals at your earliest convenience and DO NOT deposit more funds in the now obsolete addresses that you have used in the past.

The Nova Team is very proud and grateful to have been of service to you and we are thrilled to come back with the new products we're currently building.

Well done nova - you're going to be labelled exit scammers!

My flag is against

who are owners or part owners of novaexchange.com who have announced they are closing and that users can only withdraw if they have verified via their KYC process.

I have tried multiple times to verify myself via their convoluted KYC process, however they at first ignored my comments, then simply said to email them which went un-responded.

Their official thread Nova Exchange [Archive] has had no response since the 18th of July when I posted that I could not verify myself via their KYC process.

I've seen comments that I am not the only one to be unable to verify via KYC, so I am left with no option other than to create a flag.

*edit*

novaexchange has varied the terms of use of their website, they should allow all users to withdraw our funds without charge especially given some of us are documented as having tried to complete their registration/KYC process and been unable to complete the process.
