5261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: bye bye bitcointalk  :( on: March 01, 2020, 02:39:37 PM
And just like that, they are gone.

These tradesatoshi scammers stole almost 0.7 bitcoin from me, blocked the withdrawal of funds for no reason. Angry

I'm starting to think that not only do they not have the BTC to repay their customers, they haven't had it in a long time. It would explain all the stupid games they've been playing for almost an entire year leading up to their closure.

The last time they moved coins out of their OMNI hot wallet was November 1st of last year:

https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/000706574639c86a?from_address=18rKsxwrdHxrfPjzAqNuxYr37wNNrxgrqy

(the 18rK... address corresponding to the OMNI hot wallet is only one address out of many that TS used to transfer BTC, however... would need more blockchain evidence to associate other wallets)

it should be a right
Based on what? I would just love to hear a good justification for that.

Based on the fact that its a required element for survival.

Similar to how education is a right,

None of that is a right. You know. Back in the day, I mostly paid my way through my higher education by taking terms off to work etc. Jobs did the same thing. Woz did the same thing. That's what people did instead of expecting others to hold their hand and give them things. You want something, go make it happen instead of thinking you're entitled to things you're not. Most that go onto higher education don't even know what they want to do. But they're conditioned to think it's what they should do so they can start generating taxes and racking up debt, become wage slaves, as quickly as possible. There is really no rush to run off and get a higher education.

I wasn't even thinking about higher education, I was thinking about grades K-12, which is not only a fundamental right but mandatory...

if a society wants its population....
That's the only argument that holds sway. If the society/country decides it's in their best interest to pay for those things then fine. But it's not a right.

Why not make it one?

Awesome. Just let the government decide what companies should and should not exist based on... what... "feelings"... Yeah, ok then. Let's not take a more practical approach to phasing them out or working with them to shift to other things or writing actually good laws/regulations that would keep them from exploiting people. That would be far too rational. Fuck the "bad" companies. Which ones would be next I wonder? Well.. we can't shut them all down. Oh I know. The government will just take them on instead and will justify it cause.. they're "bad".. Yeah.. And people like you wonder why some get all up in arms about socialism.

I don't really understand how this addresses what I was saying in the slightest. I never suggested the government close any business, but you ran away with this notion for some reason. The existence of a medicare for all-type program (or "Public Option" as it was called in the Obama era) would place increased competition on for-profit insurers. Some of the more unsustainable ones would indeed go out of business, as they probably should. There are private insurers in every country that has socialized medicine, as it remains an economically-driven necessity. Nobody, however socialist they may be, is forcing any of them to close, and nobody thinks that would be a good idea.
5263  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ryan Fawcett Betadvisor tipster aka Ryleys SCAMMED me on: March 01, 2020, 01:55:00 PM
Though this Ryleys guy said he would do a refund and didn't do it (which is definitely a tag-able offense, no questions there), I encourage everyone to read this thread as OP isn't telling the whole story. For instance,

how much did you bet on this surebet you posted you received from another tipster? ( oh sorry it was not a tennis bet )

That is false. Fogarty (the "old man") did indeed lose the match:

So OP is blaming Ryleys for something that didn't actually happen. Regardless, I will tag the Ryleys account for failing to issue a refund after promising to do so.

Promise of refund quoted for reference:

I will refund him fully even tho on the weekend over 10 bets won in a row, just to show i am not a scammer but i have zero interest in having you in my list or around my channel.
5264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proven tennis bettor / Private Service with daily tips provided. 80 percent win on: March 01, 2020, 01:40:51 PM
Legendster and actmyname are not scammers.

so actually you delivered proof that you are blind!

I don't think you are blind but you don't want to see the right things and this stinks!

yes he did not steal the 25$ LOL cause I donated it.

you are welcome to give me also red trust cause I wrote that Ryan Fawcett Betadvisor tipster aka Ryleys  Scammed me and is a Fraud

oh and BTW thx for showing us your signature

I don't want to see the right things? I can't make this Ryleys guy refund your bitcoin but I provided a viable remedy for your situation which you completely ignored.

- You were pissed that you lost the bet that was picked to win.
- The bet result was later adjusted to reflect that it was a win.
- Ergo, you won the bet.
- Ergo, you have no reason to be pissed!

My signature shows at the bottom of every post I make. Its a standard feature.

I'm not going to negative trust you but I do think everyone should avoid doing any business with you whatsoever.

it should be a right
Based on what? I would just love to hear a good justification for that.

Based on the fact that its a required element for survival. I mean, I personally haven't been to a doctor in 10 years, but that doesn't mean its a good idea, or that everyone else should be so lucky. Similar to how education is a right, if a society wants its population to prosper, it should be willing to shoulder the responsibility of insuring their basic healthcare needs.

Of course you can't prevent people from living unhealthy lifestyles, but you can tax them for it, which then goes to paying for health insurance. Smokers for instance are already taxed quite a bit in addition to having to pay higher health insurance costs (much of the time).

Edit: By the way. It's well known that a shit load of people are going to be put out of work by Bernie's plan. Can someone tell me what he's going to do with basically forcing companies to close down? Seems like no one cares that the government would end up doing that. An entire industry decimated it looks like to me.

If you are referencing the health insurance industry plan administrators, brokers, sales agents, reps, etc., then my response is good, fuck 'em. They should have never had those jobs in the first place. Middle-manning health insurance is a dirty business.
5266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proven tennis bettor / Private Service with daily tips provided. 80 percent win on: March 01, 2020, 12:58:00 PM
This person is crazy, I won several bets in a row and then as soon as one lost he popped up on my message list calling me a fraud?

He does have a history of this type of behavior if you check his trust feedback.

you should learn how to read a trust feedback!!!

after you learned how to read red trust feedbacks (from Scammers) you are welcome to apologize

Legendster and actmyname are not scammers.

no surprise you are taking side of the SCAMMER Ryan Fawcett Betadvisor tipster aka Ryleys

Last Active:   February 26, 2020, 07:34:48 PM

he stole from me 25$ in BTC so lets say he succeeded with another 10 user that would be 250$

He said he would refund the $25. If he doesn't, then yes, it is safe to say he is at least untrustworthy and deserves to be tagged. I don't know about a "scammer", however. He certainly didn't "steal" it from you, you gave it to him willingly.

Did you not see the image I posted showing how his pick you are complaining about was actually a win? Just show the links I posted to your sportsbook -- they should re-grade your betslip and give you your winnings.

will he be rich and buy a house? NO
will I and the other 9 have to eat tomorrow? YES

If your financial situation is really this dire then you shouldn't be gambling in the first place.

I had to deleate him because it was getting totally out of hand and he is actually pyscho in my opinion the way he talks and acts.

This may be true, but on the other hand, you did say this:

I will refund him fully even tho on the weekend over 10 bets won in a row, just to show i am not a scammer

Even if this guy is acting like an a-hole, the fact is you did say you would refund him, so just get his BTC address via PM and send him the BTC. If he complains about not receiving it, you can forward me his PM with the address and I will verify if it was sent or not.

Whats weird is most websites do show Alcala winning:

This one does as well:

https://en.badminton-navi.net/player/detail/12979

Perhaps Jackpot Racer can point this out to the bookie who would change the loss into a win. Regardless, you told him you would refund him, so you should -- in the interest of retaining a good reputation on this forum.

I expect DT1 to be shuffled in the coming days.

Yikes, the number of eligible members is up to 169 -- minus the inactives.

I'm not liking my chances of remaining in this month. I subscribe to the Theory of Being Due, aka the Gambler's Fallacy. Every month since I've been DT1 I've survived the theymos snap. Not feeling good about this month.
5269  Economy / Reputation / Re: More trust system abuse by Lauda on: March 01, 2020, 09:46:20 AM
Of course if you edit the quote down, it is a lot less ambiguous. If you include the entire unedited quote it is not exactly clear. "no and no" is just as easily interpreted as a refusal to respond followed by more of a diatribe. Seems kind of like you are working overtime to find any excuse to point fingers Nutilduhhhh. Almost like you are motivated by your personal feelings for me rather than facts, but that's not you right Nutilduuuh?

You mean editing the post down to show the answers to your questions? If you include the entire unedited quote it is still quite clear to everybody who has an understanding of the English language and is capable of being honest. The answers were the very first part of the response, which you purposefully overlooked. You didn't like them, so you chose to play a stupid game, for which you won a stupid prize. And sorry to break your heart, but I don't have "personal feelings for you."
5270  Economy / Reputation / Re: More trust system abuse by Lauda on: March 01, 2020, 07:05:47 AM
Actually the response was incomplete and ambiguous. "No" as in I refuse to answer? No as in your rating is not valid? No as in his rating is not valid? That was not an answer. There is no "gotcha" games, simply asking Suchmoon to clearly define their position, and pointing out that they are in fact supporting a trust system abuser based on their own words.

Only a fool or someone incredibly dishonest would not consider "no" to be an answer to a "yes" or "no" question. So which one are you? Because you are definitely one or the other, if not both.

I know you have trouble with reading comprehension, but my explanation above is very self explanatory why the answer was ambiguous.

Because it is a testament to your intellectual dishonesty and generally inability to be honest, let's review what you just said. First of all, these were the questions being posed:

Is the rating I left for Vod valid or not? Are the ratings he left for me valid or not?

No and no.

Your claim is that these may be answers to _another question_ that existed only in your own head, and not the ones you specifically asked. You asked two "yes" or "no" questions, you received 2 "no" answers. To perceive these as being answers to any other question than the ones you specifically asked is simply illogical.

Whether you have a severe impairment in logic or are acting out of dishonesty is up for debate, though I tend to lean toward believing the latter in this instance.
5271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bernie Sanders is the Frontrunner for the Dems on: March 01, 2020, 06:29:27 AM
Bernie said "$30 trillion just for medicare for all" in that video you didn't bother watching. Which is it? I suppose you know more about his platform than he does?

$30-$40 trillion over 10 years, not just for 1 year.

From the 60 Minutes interview:

Quote
There's profound skepticism in Congress about Sanders' ability to get his agenda passed. Two-thirds of Democrats in the Senate have not signed on to "Medicare for All," which would cost an estimated $30 trillion to $40 trillion over ten years. And that's just one of Bernie Sanders' many proposals. There's also free public college, cancellation of all student debt, a federal job guarantee, and a Green New Deal to rapidly reduce carbon emissions.

The reason why Obama's ACA didn't really work is because he let the Public Option go out of a "compromise." However, the Public Option was the one part that really would have kept a degree of competitiveness in the healthcare industry, forcing health insurers to stop charging ridiculous rates knowing they would lose customers to those enrolling in the Public Option.

Having said that, $30 to $40 trillion over 10 years still seems unreasonably high. Healthcare shouldn't cost $10k a year. The whole system is still a disgusting racket.

Somebody just necrobumped this post, thought it was worth sharing.

as the title states, I need a 1000 word essay for my 2nd year engineering program, topic is anything to do with economics around the world....

I am willing to pay upto 5 btc for a 2 page ~ 1000 word essay.

I need this by Saturday at the latest.

Posts like these demonstrate just how far BTC has come in 8 years -- this is now a $43,000 essay. Not bad for something I could pump out in about 3 hours.

5276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi-accounts, the industry-standard and KYC. on: February 29, 2020, 01:20:06 PM
I'm interested in hearing the opinion of you guys. Should these casinos adopt a KYC first policy, the industry-standard? If not then there is nothing stopping them to screw users over and vice versa. Without KYC both are parties are at risk of getting screwed over by each other. The users could find ways to create multiple accounts and casinos can bail themselves out by creating fake cases. So having a KYC first policy does seem to work.

First off, this is a great, well-thought out post, with original content -- that is a rarity. I think most crypto casinos would rather not do a KYC first policy as that would detract a lot of potential customers. They pretty much depend on their reputation for doing the right thing, which as discussed above, isn't all that of a great indicator that things will go well in every circumstance, but in a non-mandated KYC environment, its all we have.

Big casinos like FJ, mBit Casino and Cloudbet get to set their own definitions as to what constitutes multi-accounting, trying to stride the line between saving money and continuing to enjoy a good reputation among the community.

An annoying example that comes to mind is I know someone who won quite a bit by using free bonus money, only to have their winnings confiscated because their family member had also created an account unbeknownst to them. Even though the family member never registered for a bonus or made a single deposit, the casino still considered it to be multi-accounting, which was strictly forbidden, thus the bonus money was lost. The casino was gracious enough to let them withdrawal their initial deposit before closing their account.

In this situation, was a rule violated as defined by the casino? Absolutely. Was the person _actually_ multi-accounting in an attempt to cheat the casino? Absolutely not (or at least I believe their version of the events). In such an instance, to me, its still not worth giving the casino 2 sets of personally-identifiable information. Even if the casino is a straight-shooter, they still run the risk of mishandling the information, such as getting hacked, or it stolen by a vindictive employee, etc.

Long answer short: KYC-first probably isn't a beneficial policy.
5277  Other / Off-topic / Re: When did you first get connected and surf the internet? on: February 29, 2020, 10:49:02 AM
Before Prodigy, or maybe concurrently, I remember interacting with people on Bulletin Board Services (BBS). I can't remember the name of the one I frequented, but it was a highly localized phenomenon, in that each city or town had its own BBS where you interacted with members of your own community.

Other than using it for socializing, it was pretty pointless. A few lame games, places to download images (TIFF files actually predated GIF and JPEG -- saw my first porn that way), and that was about it.

My family was always a bit behind on modem speeds, so as a prank, people would blast me with huge text files that took a minute or so to download and display on screen as compared to the couple of seconds it would take most others.

I also remember that when someone at your home would pick up the phone when the modem was going, it was quite a bitch, and frequently disrupted the connection enough to make you go offline.

We also had Prodigy and then AOL... All of it was quite lame really compared to the things you can do with modern day internet.

5279  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tradesatoshi - BEWARE! Blocking without reasons. on: February 29, 2020, 03:38:25 AM
Another interesting connection is that the founder and developer of Cryptopia also worked for Trade Satoshi.

They dont worked for Trade Satoshi !
The guy was asking about that if they can developing for him an exchange source code !
After he got that he changed and developing all for his one .
After that the owners from Cryptopia has nothing to do anymore with it.

Also i know that the last Company register was in Hong Kong !
The UK register was only for mail service.

Adam Clark says he worked for Trade Satoshi. From his LinkedIn:

Quote
Senior Software Development Engineer
Tradesatoshi
Jun 2018 – Nov 2018   6 months

Crypto-currency trading platform development

You should also read this story:

https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/cryptocurrency-news/finance-and-funding/tradesatoshi-accused-of-malpractices-regarding-their-exchange-handling/

I wouldn't be surprised if he had a hand in emptying funds out of Trade Satoshi and leaving them insolvent. However, its possible that both Alibrandi and Clark are independently crooked.

It seems pretty clear you didn't answer my question at all

Quit lying, the answer is right there, you just disagree with the "no".

My agreement or disagreement is irrelevant. You in fact did not answer my questions. You replied, but you didn't answer them. That is not the same thing.

You asked two questions with "yes" or "no" answers. Suchmoon replied "no" to both. Those are definitively answers. I honestly don't understand how you expect to be taken seriously. Your plight for fairness and objective standards is harmed by your inability to accept an answer as an answer.

Is the rating I left for Vod valid or not? Are the ratings he left for me valid or not?

No and no.

If you don't consider those to be "answers", you're simply trolling at this point.
