OK, thanks. So this fee is voluntary?

Yes, if you didn't set recommended fee(see below), your transaction may not get confirmation.

Default fee is .0002 BTC per kb of transaction.

Recommended fee is 0.0001BTC/1000 Bytes.

How many kb in a typical transaction? .0001 kb? or 10,000 kb? I need to know how much I'll be donating.

It will depend on your transactions. If you have many inputs, your bytes increases and if you don't, your bytes will most probably below 500. As I have said, this will depend on your transaction.

You may want to read these : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees and http://bitcoinfees.com/ .

Thanks for helping a newbie. Cheers,

Advait

Anytime. Wink

Microwallet almost closed down. Use FaucetBox or Paytoshi API instead. Good luck! Smiley

5265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recurring monthly bitcoin payments on: February 15, 2015, 03:08:24 PM
Because bitcoin includes an electronic form of payment, and because we all spent our entire life with the ONLY electronic form of payment available to the individual being one where we are required to have an account with a third party to handle the payment for us, we tend to forget that bitcoin wallets are not accounts and that bitcoin transactions are peer to peer and require the sending party to actually send the transaction.

+10. You're right!

You'd send it?  Do you mean you'd package up the cash in an envelope and trust that the postal workers wouldn't open the envelope and take the cash?  If the receiving party claimed that he received a torn and empty envelope, would you trust him and send more cash?

Yes, me. No, I would give directly. If he can be trusted, i.e., if I and him have done anything before but I might not send the full amount again.

A trusted family member is a trusted third party.  You can do the same with your bitcoins.  Send them to a trusted third party and request that they send the monthly bitcoins on your behalf.

Yes, they are but they are more 'known' to me. But in 'Bitcoin world' most of them are anonymous and most of the persons known are far away from me. So it's hard for me to file a dispute.

Think of bitcoin as cash that can be sent electronically.

This is the problem. Most of the bitcoiners(incl. me) doesn't think like that and try to reduce their work because of laziness.

If you had a stack of cash sitting in your back pocket in your wallet, how would you set up a recurring monthly payment with that cash?

Most probably, I would send it.

Would you authorize the payee to come into your house while you were sleeping and take the money out of your wallet on your nightstand?  Or would you deposit the cash with a third party (such as a bank) and then authorize that third party to send the cash monthly on your behalf?

I won't definitely do both of the above but might give to my trusted friend or family member to give  but not all time.

I'm using Blockchain wallet because I do not want to download anything to my computer or phone. Blockchain work on mobile browser too, I do not understand why some people download the application.

Wait for the downtime, you will understand.

What are your plans for the future Cloudminr?

Keep the ponzi alive!

If they are really ponzi, then you're wrong I think. Run with the money!

i have no idea how to quote many posts at once :l

If you are using 'Quick Reply'[1], you can click 'quote' as many times you like. If you use normal reply[2], i.e., when you click quote, you go to a new page with icons and text fields, you click 'Insert Quote'[3] to insert as many quotes you like.

[2] http://flic.kr/p/ra2pRN
[3] http://flic.kr/p/qUJMuY

my posts are manually counted so my sig campaign doesnt have to include all of them if it doesnt want to

But mods don't want to hear 'how payments are calculated' but... as you didn't know 'how to multi-quote', they may not do anything about the posts you made till today. Roll Eyes Smiley

beginner players, and people who need Smiley
and people who are not so good at anything, who always want to get the easiest way
sure , but if you're capeable of using a faucet you are capeable of joining a signature campaign and get money from it.

I disagree. For getting Satoshis from faucets, you just need to know how to type English alphabets. To earn from signature campaigns, you need to know rules of this forum, about English statement and patience to read.

I was a user faucet Smiley
Tell us more please ?

He is just telling he used to earn from faucets.

You ought tobe careful, friend! You should quote the posts you are replying to one post instead of making many just to increase the post count and thus to earn more money. You may get a temporary ban(insubstantial posts+signature advertisement). Smiley

It's strange: they still pay but almost nothing...and they still sell contracts.

yes its strange received 37000 sat this week
they are paying but its not worth

For me, I don't remember I get anything from them for some weeks now but their payputs are indeed like faucet payouts!

Nice site.

Seems this signature advertising thing is really taking off. Lots of competition. Should be interesting for the Hero members! Smiley

You mean really uninteresting for the hero (and even senior) members. 0.0007 a post is horrible pay.

im sure when you release the new rules of bit-x , people will be pilling up to your sig campaign anyway  Wink but for now, cant argue more i think bitmixer attract more sig campaigner

There arw fixed/week campaign which pay more than this but their slots are limited and payment is manual. That is the two thing which makes more people come here.

5280  Other / Meta / Re: This Forum Needs to Pull Up Its Pants. Now. on: February 15, 2015, 10:58:59 AM
It has been over a year without avatars (ok, not too much of a setback). However, things we need like 2 factor authentication or at the very least email verification doesn't even exist. The talks of a new forum is starting to get old, we're so in the dark that 99% of users here have no clue what is going to happen and when. A new captcha service needs to be put in place to prevent those bots signing up thousands of accounts as has been seen in the past few days.

I agree with you.

Newbie jail needs to come back. I know, theymos, it does give you more ad views but come on, it is not worth it for us (the number of annoying and worthless loan requests, the bots, the overall lower quality coming from brand new users).

I don't agree with you in this. There are people signing up for particular things such as for service announcement, technical doubt/help etc... It's better to make force 30 seconds class on first few logins.

Please make the changes that we require, or at least pass on (or share) this power to do so onto another, preferably capable, person.

Current admins are capable of it[1] but they are concentrating more on new forum. I think adding 2FA and email confirmation needs more debugging of the forum.
