5261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins are 👎👎👎 on: May 03, 2020, 01:31:56 PM
Most new coins are patronized by investors for profit. However, we should not close the door for new coins because we need new ideas and we should not just settle on old and stable coins. Take note that even those who are on the top of the market now had bad reviews and some are even hated by most investors when they first come to the market. There are a lot of new scam projects but there are still gold anong new projects.
5262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: May 03, 2020, 01:04:53 PM
To avoid wasting your time promoting scam or shit projects, invest your time choosing projects that you will promote. It is true that the majority of the projects are scam or will not pay you, but there are still projects who pay participants. Even joining campaigns nowadays is a gamble, there is no assurance that you will earn something but just keep on trying, but do it in a wise way by choosing where to join.
5263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: May 03, 2020, 12:13:14 PM
It's good to review a bounty before joining. Do not pick a bounty just because the requirements are easy, because of the manager, or it has a huge offer, or it is listed. Make sure that you fully understand what you are promoting and if it has good potential. Do not waste your time promoting scam projects. Start doing your research before joining.
5264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to offload an Altcoin on: May 03, 2020, 11:45:36 AM
With a small volume, you can try to sell your altcoin in a small portion, however, this might take some time and might require patience. Just hope there will be demand on the coin you are holding because as you sell them in portion the price will go lower eventually.
5265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: May 03, 2020, 11:17:21 AM
Just to make it simple, "no admin in telegram will send you a DM or even ask for your credentials." This actually happens a lot of times especially if you ask for help from an admin. Mostly, an admin will send you a message in the group saying he sent you a DM, click on the admin's profile to make sure you will be directed to the admin's chatbox.
5266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockburn, A big Failure on: May 03, 2020, 01:42:49 AM
I've never seen a big failure project like blockburn this year so far, in 2019 when this project was released it was trading at a whopping 0.93$, and after bounty was over, without sending any token to any bounty hunter the value is now 0.00007$, this will be the first failure project I promoted this year, the use case is something that should work as per my research but the question is, what happened? Exit scam? Or team dumped?

This is not something new. There had been tons of projects there who even had a great launch and decent price and now is almost down to zero. There could be a lot of factors to this. It could be the team had dumped what they are holding or investors had already left the project to get thwir income.
5267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BLOCKCHAIN WALLET WAS STOLEN 0.39070099 BTC !!! on: May 02, 2020, 11:01:19 PM
I think nothing can be done here. The transaction had already been confirmed and transactions are irreversible. That is why I don't use an online wallet for my personal fund. I keep the stored in a hard wallet to assure it is safe. Sorry for your loss, and let this be a lesson not to be complacent even if you think you have secured your online wallet.
5268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dont sell off because of the period on: May 01, 2020, 06:26:22 AM
If you had been holding for a long time and you have bought it cheaply, it would be worth selling. However, it is uncertain what could happen this coming halving. So, it is still a risk you will have to take, it is either selling your alt for BTC will be worth it or it would all go to waste.
5269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I introduce a coin that I believe it is good but no one care? on: May 01, 2020, 05:00:26 AM
There are too many projects out there that show a lot of long term potential and each has their own preference when choosing a project. You cannot force anyone to have the same option as you are, I think you have done enough on showing your perspective about the project. To add, most people are skeptical about investing in new projects due to it's risk.
5270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties? on: May 01, 2020, 04:03:04 AM
Bounties had been this way since the last bull-market. Even legitimate projects are having a hard time getting enough funds during the funding stage that is why some projects don't make it to the market. You just need to be really patient and careful what project or bounty are you going to participate.
5271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose a good project and avoid fraud projects? I need your advice on: April 30, 2020, 04:49:16 PM
most prizes and ICOs are just scams, so how do you choose the prizes you will participate in?
Did you join the gift because it was handled by a famous gift manager,
Or just because it has a high level in several ICO rankings,
Or do you really read their white paper and spend time looking for a good project.
Hopefully you can help other hunters by sharing how to choose a good project not only for prizes but also for investment.
There are so many scam projects are caught using fake whitepaper, or copy-paste whitepaper, the whitepaper is very important it has all details about the platform and the team composition sometimes included, but there are many factors like the team experience, and how they promote the project to investors is also important.

I certainly agree with you. I have encountered different scam projects with fake whitepaper before and it's even hard for some managers to determine if they're handling a legit project sometimes. We only have to be skeptical and do a series of observations and investigations before we join a certain project. Choose a trusted team and a reputable manager so we'll never have regrets in the future. No one deserves to be scammed and it's a good thing that some of us here are spreading awareness on how to get rid of scam projects.
5272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency crime in Netherlands. on: April 30, 2020, 03:14:11 PM
Six people were arrested in the Netherlands and the UK over a $27 million "typosquatting" scam, which involved making a fake website to gain access to user Bitcoin wallets.

5 man and 1 woman got arrested with warrant by the policeman at their homes Charlcombe, Lower Weston, and Staverton (UK), and Amsterdam and Rotterdam (Netherlands). They are really proffesional on accessing others account, there are many affected at least 4,000 victims in 12 countries and it still growing.

“The investigation relates to typosquatting, where a well-known online cryptocurrency exchange was ‘spoofed’ – or recreated to imitate the genuine site – to gain access to victims’ Bitcoin wallets, stealing their funds and login details.”
https://www.google.com/amp/s/portswigger.net/daily-swig/amp/six-arrested-in-connection-with-27m-typosquatting-scam

Good thing is that, they had already caught those six people because if that thing does not happen, the number of being affected by the scam will grow continuously. That is how expert hackers and scammers are.

So always be careful when visiting and trying some unfamiliar websites, always do research about it and read some reviews to assure yourself that it is legit.

It makes me admire the justice system in the Netherlands. I wish that most countries with lots of scammers could also do the same thing. Scammers and hackers are every country's trash and they really deserved to be punished but most countries are having a hard time catching them. Good job to the Netherlands' authorities for serving the justice fair and fast for the victims in their country.
5273  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: April 30, 2020, 01:44:04 PM
This crisis will never stop as long as they couldn't find a cure for it. They should create a vaccine first before we could go back to our normal lives. I just wish that they could do something about it because lots of people are already dying and the global economy is slowly dropping. If a certain country would know how to handle the pandemic situation, I'm sure that lots of people will survive depending on the strategy that they have.
5274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will another altcoin rise to overtaken Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2020, 12:36:44 PM
Bitcoin's development is never-ending, I doubt if it can be replaced. But nobody knows what the future holds. There are a lot of altcoins with different use cases. With the current state of the market, bitcoin will remain number 1, not unless an altcoin can surpass everything bitcoin has started.
5275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have some funds to invest-- How do I make a good decision? on: April 30, 2020, 11:17:26 AM
No one can give you the best advice here because each people has their own opinion and preference. You can take other people's advice but everything will depend on how well did you do your research and understand what coin will give you benefit in the long-run. I don't suggest that you follow other's advice because it is your money and you will be bearing the consequence or the outcome of your own investment not them.
5276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to buy - question to Hodlers on: April 29, 2020, 08:49:14 PM
Hi fellow Hodlers,

I hope Im right in this subforum to ask the following question that has probably been asked plenty of times?

When do you buy or do you spread out buying Bitcoin with FIAT?

I myself buy Bitcoin every month no matter the price for a set amount from my paycheck, in hopes of averaging the price I buy for.
Before doing that Id wait and hope to catch it at a lower price but that always seemed to go in the wrong way, aka. price went up =)

Im just asking because I want to know if there is a more effective way to do it?

tl;dr When do you buy your Bitcoin?

I'm actually allocating a portion of my salary to buy Bitcoin but that will depend on its price. If the market situation is bullish, I just keep my funds and just buy when the price drops down. That's the simple strategy that I have and I think I'm applying the basic strategy which is to buy low and to sell high. However, since we're in a pandemic situation, it's hard for me to buy Bitcoin since I don't have a job due to the lockdown. It's a good thing that I'm gaining something out of my investments before. It's really an advantage that we allocate something for investing because that will benefit us, especially during unexpected crisis.
5277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run or Bull Trap on: April 29, 2020, 07:48:10 PM
I can't say that it's a bull trap since we're really in a bad economic situation right now and we can't blame any manipulators right now. Admit it or now, the pandemic has been affecting the crypto world as well since most investors are highly affected. It's just a good thing that the market, as well as Bitcoin, is still standing firm no matter what the situation is. The decision of selling or purchasing will still rely on how we trust crypto.
5278  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: April 29, 2020, 06:16:01 PM
Due to Quarantine people are spending more time with families plus all the businesses and schools are working online , after the quarantine one can easily hope for an increase in online job opportunities , which is a big deal for some students and other sectors .

Here's a counterpoint. All this time at home is leading to surging rates of domestic violence: https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/495028-un-warns-6-months-of-coronavirus-lockdowns-could-lead-to-31m-cases-of

Distance learning works well for some people, not so well for others. Obviously not all businesses can operate on a completely remote basis either.

Home owned businesses + Local business are flourishing, due to Quarantine import and export is definitely not working as efficiently , therefore each country is working towards making their own markets more valuable.

A few are doing well I'm sure. The vast majority of businesses are suffering badly, judging by how quickly the PPP loan program is running out of money.

Cryptocurrencies are getting more popular since using them have enabled people to sell their services across the globe . without additional documentation and problems.

Any source for that claim? I've seen some anecdotal stories like "my dad called asking me how to buy BTC" on Twitter but I'm curious if there are some more substantive metrics.

It's really heartbreaking that there are minors being abused in this kind of situation. Every family is different and their quarantine situation could also affect them differently. Home owned businesses couldn't help the economy survive. Most countries are now in a bloody economic situation because huge businesses aren't functioning anymore. This quarantine has a positive effect on the environment but has a negative effect on our way of living. There are still pros and cons but we have no choice but to deal with it and just wait until things get back to normal.

5280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: April 29, 2020, 12:59:15 AM
No investment is safe, even the top coins are risky due to the market volatility. But, OP used the term safer I think he is referring to newbies investing in new projects who have little hope surviving the market. It is true that they will have lesser risk if they will invest in old altcoins who already have a market price, but this doesn't mean they shouldn't do their part on reviewing coins that they choose to invest.
