5261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: January 15, 2020, 07:49:41 AM
In what game do you mean by that word 'often'?
Not specifically a certain game, but in general.
Quote
I don't know about the other games but I'm pretty sure that in Dota 2 and CSGO the percentage of fixed match is small especially if its big tournament or atleast minor tier.
How are you sure? Do you have any proof and would like to show it or tell about it?

Quote
I still think that fixed match cases in esports are way less than sports, based on two games that i mentioned before.
eSports still seem much easier to fix. In a real match where players are sweating and beating each other up, primal emotions become more obvious, impulsiveness and anger often fuel a player to forget his promise to the bookie to lose the match and may end up doing something rash which may lead to a win. Chances that the big whale who paid the team to take part in fixing ends up going South.

Thats what I have felt in game, but play acting is also possible so you may have a point worth discussing too.
5262  Economy / Economics / Re: 10M Bitcoins Haven’t Moved in More Than a Year, Highest Since 2017 on: January 15, 2020, 07:44:35 AM
Whales have to cash out too. Dont get me wrong, the holders are there but there are people who need to cash their coins and pay for their bills, investments and so on.

Some may choose to change sectors and invest in other commodities than crypto. This can be likely with the stagnancy with bitcoin price leaving out the last 24hour 400$ rise in bitcoin price, talking in general about the last 2years.

With the halving approaching my prediction is that people will stack up and sell on any of the pumps before the halving. Be ready for a bloodbath during those days. It can get really unpredictable.
5263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do alt coins go for getting a signature bounty page set-up... on: January 15, 2020, 07:39:11 AM
Where do alt coins go for getting a signature bounty page set-up... I recall some thread somewhere but can't find it. Thanks!
If you need someone to design a signature for an altcoin bounty campaign you have to contact a designer who is a expert in signature and avatar making. Here is a list for your easy reference, I believe this is what you are looking for:

Overview of Bitcointalk Designers(Signature,Avatar,etc)

Make sure to PM them first in a professional manner and fix a payment budget. They are hardworking and deserve to be paid properly.
5264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: what is good Mining or bountyhunting on: January 15, 2020, 07:34:50 AM
Hello friends I would like to know Crypto mining is more profitable or BountyHunting,
Mining bitcoin is no longer profitable if you are using a handful of ASICs. You would need a huge farm of rigs and maintain them and cool them along with electricity costs to be able to generate a decent ROI.

Then again altcoin mining is one thing that is again more risky but still done by some enthusiasts. The point is to generate a lrage volume of a new altcoin before the prices pump and then sell them at the pump to get a profit to cover your investment. Its risky and often not profitable.

Quote
Are bountyhunters really making good money?
Depends on what bounty you participate in. 99.9% of them are worthless nowadays. I suggest people to go for bitcoin paying campaigns which have value than altcoin campaigns which are the shitcoins.

Quote
I have been working on these websites for the last one year but nothing special has happened yet.
How do you expect to "work"? Get a proper job buddy. Dont depend on bounties to feed you. Cheesy
5265  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What are the fees on the crypto platform u are trading? on: January 15, 2020, 07:30:39 AM
I am personally using Binance and the fees are 0.1% if u trade under 50 BTC /month . Is there a cheaper alternative ?
You have to pay some fees because the exchange needs to pay its employees. You may wish to cheap out but for that you have to go around checking out other exchanges and this will not be a easy road to take. You will find other problems and issues with another exchange that were not present with Binance and then decide to not use that.

If you are going to trade on any exchange you should pay them some coins in return. Because they are providing a service and that is the point. You may find a very cheap exchange but this raises suspicions of scam.
5266  Other / Meta / Re: [mod & admin appreciation] the lack of censorship on this forum is amazing! on: January 14, 2020, 12:39:14 PM
Nice hidden message you got there in the OP jackg. As soon as I saw the "sign" I copied it and pasted it in notepad. Grin

But I doubt the people who are intended to be the target population are going to have the wits to notice the sign.

And yet to some others the mods are all Nazis here  Grin.
Mods are paid with hate. Its part of the job. Cheesy
5267  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Balance Moved to a New Address on: January 14, 2020, 12:04:18 PM
Is there a way to switch off this feature in Ledger Nano S? It has now created 5 addresses in my wallet and there is no option to choose a specific sending address as it chooses that on its own. Some addresses contain less than 0.01 btc which may increase the required network fee.
Now here is a point of discussion. When coins are being sent from one person to a specific address, there is no "sending address" unless the coins are stored in a single address completely. Since many users of this forum have received payments from different sources like some signature campaign, some giveaway, exchanges, work payments, all those are combined to pay the sum that the user asks to send. Correct me if I am wrong here.

As for turning off the use of change addresses go to Tools>Preferences>Transactions and check/uncheck the boxes in that page. If you apply these for your Ledger's wallet it should work, though I dont have specific results for hardware wallets in case they vary.
5268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery In Your Place on: January 14, 2020, 07:42:10 AM
There are state lotteries in many places and you can check them on wikipedia if your country allows or prohibits lottery, like any other game of chance.

As for the OP, you can visit your local bookie and see if they have any 8-12 hourly draws everyday or any state sponsored lottery. These are generally the ones which are legal and legit. You never know which bookie is trying to rig their draws.

I am not a fan of lottery, but for many people it is a fun way of trying them luck. Obviously the chance of winning something big here is very low and that will end up making you lose a lot more than you win.
5269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The DEX exchange you can rely on on: January 14, 2020, 07:32:45 AM
Decided to move all my funds from hitbtc to other exchange.
Firstly, why are you doing this? You should keep your coins in your wallet once you have completed trades and not store them on exchanges. You are not in control of your coins if you store them on any third party site and you are at risk of hacking and the site going down.

Quote
Thinking about DEXes. Could you recommend one?
Surely I can do that but consider reading what I wrote above.

Used EtherDelta and ForkDelta for now. IDAX turned scam so you can see how shady these marketplaces can be. ED and FD are safer though but no guarantees. Binance DEX is the recent one by Binanace, have not used it but I have heard it is good.
5270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Good ICO Review Sites on: January 14, 2020, 07:27:47 AM
They do accept money from projects and feature it out into their site where it do leads thousands of investor luring into a scam project.
Not all investors are that foolish though. The majority who end up buying these coins are newbies who dont know about risk management and are completely new to this market.

Quote
They don't care if their readers do get scammed as long they had been paid up.
And they would never be accused of scam because of the lack of evidence and the blanket cover that they are just listing the sites but not asking anybody to invest. Whoever invests does so at their own risk.

Quote
For now I don't even know if these sites are still alive or not because gone are the days that these review sites are still trustable but when money get involved then these good boys turns into evil.
They are pretty much running, anybody can start a new one with a good web developer and keep it going but the ICO market has gone down with it. It would be great if they would actually do something useful but they dont.
5271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Forks were profitable today - what happened? on: January 14, 2020, 07:24:14 AM
These are just classic pumps. It's easier to pump these coins as they don't actually have a lot of volume.
Added on top is the cherry that they have a name that applies to the leader of all cryptocurrencies. That is what they thrive on and make themselves popular. You just need to confuse some noobs into thinking that you are the God here and sell them your shitcoins because they have bitcoin in their names. Those poor souls dont even know anything about what is the real bitcoin and they are being sold something that is a copycat.

Quote
When these pumps happen, use the opportunity to cash out your coins. That frees money up to invest in other more sustainable projects.
Its more like CSW or RV using the money to cash out their own and dump their shitforks. They are the ones who make the money and being exempted from fraud they are not being hunted by the law makers.
5272  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Balance Moved to a New Address on: January 14, 2020, 07:18:03 AM
Thanks for the replies guys. I checked and looks like i did have a small transaction which i totally forgot about. I guess when i saw that my money had gone i had some sort of temporary memory loss. Sorry for wasting you guys time.

On another note, I had a similar type of panic when I saw my coins not in explorer but found them in the wallet in another change address. However your second post here seems that you did remember the transaction that you had done.

Are you sure it was a "temporary memory loss"? Or are you trying to feign something because you are conscious about being called a fool? There is nothing to be shy about sending money to wrong address, happens with even the best of the best.

Still I think the first post that you made seems that Electrum had sent the money to a change address. These are nothing to make you worry and you can turn off this feature as well in you wallet UI. Those coins in change are still yours if they are there.
5273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling cashback services? on: January 13, 2020, 11:37:39 AM
are there any services that offer cashback by returning you part of their earning from referring you?
I think you are referring to something called rakeback and not a refund obviously. Cheesy

Quote
If you know about such site, have you tried using them? What are the terms?
Primedice, stake, FJ and many others provide such a service. For Primedice it is the VIPs who get a rakeback, which level I dont remember correctly but probably it is above Silver level. Other sites have some other criteria to fulfill before you can claim a rakeback. It is a certain fixed percentage of your wager and that percentage will be higher with more levels.

Quote
I'm thinking about developing such service, so any suggestions are welcome.
I dont know what to suggest except that if you are making a new casino with such a feature you will face a lot of competition so good luck doing so.
5274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to buy Bitcoin anonymously in US on: January 13, 2020, 11:33:47 AM
I see many people suggesting localbitcoins and localcrypto, but I will be honest here, that no such service is completely anonymous. You can be tracked down and prosecuted for money laundering if you are taking these routes to do something that is considered illegal in the US. Remember that you need to  undergo KYC/AML for many of these services once you try to exchange a certain value.

And stay away from paypal. It is the worst method you can use. You risk your account being charge-backed by scammers or the Feds knocking at your door.

OTC deals/F2F deals are very risky but can be considered anonymous if you are sending an agent to do th trade for you. Seems very mafia-like doesnt it? Cheesy
5275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber or Airbnb running on bitcoin on: January 13, 2020, 11:29:10 AM
There have been altcoin projects for Uber like services and I am sure some shitcoin has been made for Airbnb wannabe too. Fact is that paying for such services using bitcoin would be something everyone would like to see in future. But currently you can buy gift cards from sites like Bitrefill for paying these providers, again I am not sure if their cards are available.

I do not agree with your "remember when you had to pay for cab" comment, because with bitcoin you are still paying the person. Using fiat or bitcoin is irrelevant there. You are paying no matter what service you take.

Again if someone creates such a service you also have to give it time to grow. These companies did not just come out of the blue, they took their time to grow and now they are popular. Considering the bad reputation of crypto in the general public this is a tough thing to achieve.
5276  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What’s Stopping Crypto Markets from Entering the Mainstream on: January 13, 2020, 11:22:43 AM
This if government will not accept means things are over for their citizens and then nothing can be done as their country may face ban of crypto which means people do not have any options but just to forget it or change the country itself where it is legal .
They wont have to change countries. There are methods to circumvent government censorship and these are not easy to apply. So it only becomes a game of cat and mouse and the governments would not shut down internet just for this.

Those companies which are using bitcoin or crypto as payment or so run their businesses from countries that are compliant with crypto.

This is too dangerous for the businesses that wants to keep their capital and those who only circulate their profit in their business as the price changes, tendencies are they will only convert it to fiat once they are paid bamy btc but may deduct some fees from them. Maybe those who are into crypto and have business will only use it but mostly many may not be able to risk their business into it yet.
There are many people running such services and it is not so tough as you all talk about. The change in price for an article which is not above 1btc price is small enough to be ignored. People buy and sell gold which is way more volatile than bitcoin and they dont think twice.

The bigger problem is the legal crackdown that such companies face.
5277  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Ideas Needed for Easy and Passive Monthly Income * REWARD * on: January 12, 2020, 02:32:58 PM
If you want passive income try investing into a trading bot to automate your trades and to not make your investment stagnant, this is free information anyways it has been discussed in this forum countless times, so its entirely up to you if you use this information but keep in mind everything you do with this, is not my responsibility.

It would be wrong to suggest someone to use a bot to trade because the market is stagnant.

These are different phases of the market. Sometimes it goes up and down quickly sometimes slowly and sometimes it just remains at a certain level fighting both support and resistance. A some point the market will show bigger movements again. What I am trying to say is that if you are going to invest into crypto this is not the time to be risky with your money. Rather buy bitcoins at this time for selling in future or keep cash ready to buy bitcoin if the price drops.

Remember that this is not a 100meter sprint, but a marathon race against yourself. You have to decide when to start and and when you want to stop. Because the "excitement" in the market is low, does not mean you should take risky routes like leverage and margin trading. It would be a waste of money but you may think otherwise.
5278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: January 12, 2020, 06:59:21 AM
Why do we need to use betting tips from other people?
Some people are just lazy to not do some basic research and analysis but want to make money. They are prey that these people hunt for because selling them some random picks is easy for some quick cash. It is a scam but one where you cannot charge the scammer. Wink

Quote
If we already know the strategies or things that are need to do for us to play the certain gambling game that we play. Gambling is played individually, so getting tips from other people is not a solution for you to be able to win. It will be much better if you win because of your decision and your own hardwork.
Like all gamblers think, "who does work when you can make money for free" - this sentiment is actually wrong but gamblers think that way. That is why they are gamblers trying to make money with their luck. They will randomly bet on any sports team which someone tells them to bet and this becomes more like a 50-50 dice roll. The "work" here is doing analysis and tracking teams and their performances but few care to do that for a simple win/loss bet.
5279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a bullish sign as halving approaches? on: January 12, 2020, 06:55:44 AM
Nothing is certain until halving take place so everything from this point is speculative and only the toughest will remain standing as this roller coaster market is giving as pain in asses .so if you think that your Holding can stand loner?
At this point it is all speculation. We cannot determine a bullish or bearish sign just because someone told it so and trade with that sign. It would be like throwing stones in dark. Its better to buy at this price because it is still the stagnant price at 7k USD until it goes above 8k and then wait for a new pump to 10k USD or more.

Quote
then stay keeping but if not?then sell off now and wait for another dump as i think it will happen before we reach May 2020.
You cannot be certain that a pump will happen in May 2020. Many people have been saying this month pump will happen, then that month and so on. But the last 2years has been pretty sideways. Halving is coming, but like you said yourself we cannot say right away about price pump. Moreover the news media has been full of bad news and bad investment sentiments are more common in the air.
5280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Forks were profitable today - what happened? on: January 12, 2020, 06:48:39 AM
I didn´t find any information connected to the today´s growth, maybe insider trading?
Looking for information related to why a certain shitcoin goes up is a wrong way to approach the market. You will never be able to find out the reason because in many cases due to the unregulated nature of this market, OTC deals and then pump and dump happen where whales play the market and make money from it. It can be a coordinated pump by some venture capitalist groups or just coincidence.

What you really need to know is that BTC is the real bitcoin and that people who claim to be someone else without proving it are liars.
