Are you trolling or what? What s there to understand? You basically rent hash from someone else who mines for you.

Did we ever get an answer if the umisoo 10 day in a row timer reset when they were positive those few days in between?

If not, think umisoo is done this time for sure.. might drag out a little longer if the 10 day timer was reset at some point.

It has been positive for the last 6 days. If we hit negative again the 10 days would restart.

....and here is negative, big time BTC drop. So we start the countdown again.

i know this price is so killing me, i really hope for like a 10% reduction in bitcoin difficulty at this prices lol, i do know as i am responding to this the price of bitcoin was $221 on exchange  Cry

To keep everyone up to date. We did not hit a negative for Umisoo yet. The last two days have been close to negative but did not reach that point.

by any chance do you know what the bitcoin value would need to be for umisoo to stop mining and enter the 10 day cooldown period as they call it before shutting down?

Without doing the exact math. $218 (At current difficulty)

$218.51 yesterday gave us a fraction of a percentage payout.

Every time the price goes up a bit and I start thinking about getting more Umisoo, the next dip takes place. Sick and tired of this volatility.

I like women who are interested in bitcoin, sound like great  Grin

Yes it sounds good that women are interested in bitcoin, but do they really like it? I didnt think that women nowadays really like this kind of technology, because they are just doing online shopping and if they like it, it wont be long because their mind set is not the same as men. Women dont think logicaly, men thinking carefully than women

As soon as someone makes a store which sells shoes for BTC, the interest of the opposite sex is going to rise rapidly.  Grin
5284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What to invest BTC in? on: April 27, 2015, 07:41:14 PM
I suggest you to invest to promising altcoins with some of your BTCs. First you have to make a good research, and after you invest you should be patient. Do not sell or buy at instant pumps/dumps. Set a sales strategy yourself. for example, when the price is increased by 10%, i will sell 15% of my coins I have, etc.

I certainly believe that you will earn a significant profit in long term.

This is the worst BTC investment advice EVER. Shitcoins are shit. You will lose money, that's why they are called SHIT coins.  Huh

+1

Buy an alt and then wait for the price to go up?Huh?

Unfortunately, its never that simple.

Bitcoin estimated transaction volume,  USD

Bitcoin transaction volume in US dollars is surprisingly flat, and has been for the last year. Occasionally there's a day with a transaction volume spike, but that's frantic trading, not usage. While the number of Bitcoins involved in transactions is up, that's because the price of Bitcoins is going down.

That means the bubble is over.

So you more or less can trade or hold safely without having nightmares about losing 80% of your money.

Things probably will change by the next halving

We need to have next price rally long before that. Next halving is over a year ago and by that time, BTC community must continue to grow.

Remember that PBmining also was... It can happen any day. Better safe than sorry. How are they having such ROI if they are legit. Genesis-mining are also mining the MOST profitable altcoin and the payout went dirt shitty long time ago, then even terminated scrypt contracts etc... but the guys here must be either geniuses or scammers Wink

It s not hard to figure out what group they belong to. This argument, they pay and they must be legit, is EXTREMELY dumb. Cause what happens when they stop paying, they wont be legit anymore? WTF business strategy is that?

Website update
An update will be applied to website, in several steps, during Apr 28 – Apr 30 period.
The website will be kept mostly online and will go offline only for very short intervals of time.

Yes, yes, we know.

Last thought, here’s CoinDesk’s aggregate new merchant adoption of bitcoin:
Is there data on formerly Bitcoin-accepting businesses? That needs to be subtracted from the above chart?

* NewEgg - Bitcoin promotion over.
* "No, big companies don't really accept Bitcoin" - Money

As the price kept going down, less and less buzz was around BTC and as a consequence, less businesses got involved into BTC.

The question s how low can the price go before we see the opposite trend resulting in increased merchant adoption.

kaprosuchus your estimate for GetHashing is a little off unless your numbers are just from April which wasn't the best so far.

GHfarm since it's launch in mid February:

Average payout per GHX over 59 days 0.00007377 BTC / GHX / day.

My batch 1 history:

Well, 153 days of break-even s still great result.

Craptsy had bad signs from a very long time ago, i avoided them like plague.

What do you use instead of them? I do not see any larger and more reliable exchange in the market.

Bitcoin is not suitable for the application of credit card now.

Why is that? There are several companies providing these cards and everything seems to be in order.

True. So what be done about this? When do you expect this situation to change?
5293  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Price Is Right on: April 27, 2015, 09:12:41 AM
In the simplest form how would it be possible for the price not to rise substantially in the next couple of years?
Diminishing supply + growing exposure + exponential investment + trading options = positive price increase.

I'm not sure why anyone would be concerned about investing in the technology... this is a great time to expand the wallet.
How many will be regretful for not taking advantage of early 2015 pricing?

So, if this is the case, how come the price s been constantly going down during this and previous year? Fundamentals which you have mentioned ve been the same.
5294  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scrypt.cc Discussion on: April 27, 2015, 09:10:22 AM
I took my money out do you know any legit site ?

It's still the same Wink Hashnest or Bit-x should be more than enough for cloudmining and you won't find more legit these days. All the others looks tricky in one way or the other, or are unprofitable.

Yes, for now, only these two. ROI is long compared to most of ponzi cloud mining websites but at least your money should be safe.

[No, it's legit cloud mining from indonesia
I have seen their mining proof some time ago & i heard someone already seen their mining center.
But, their contract price is too high Sad

You call that a farm? My toilet has more miners on top of it.

Yes, it does look like someone`s garage.
5296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scrypt.cc Discussion on: April 26, 2015, 08:08:58 PM
Hey I wanna talk about https://scrypt.cc/ I wanna know if its legit or not

I started with 0.13 btc and I can sell it for 0.1522 so 0.022 profit so far

This is how I started using Scrypt, so I was looking for a cloud mining website but I got confused because I see sites going scam all the time so I started to look after reviews and I saw this one ( http://cloudminingreport.com/reviews/cloud-mining-with-scrypt-cc-review/ ) it looks legit so I deposit 0.13 to start but I dont like the lack of security so if you could help me and tell me your reviews and what cloud mining you use it would help me a lot

Is this legit or not ?

They are not legit. There s no WAY they are legit. They ll be around for some time and then run away with your money.

MAID is a good bet, once the ongoing correction ends, because the 10K support is not going to be beaten for now.

What is so special about MAID?
5298  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: antpool profit on: April 26, 2015, 06:25:28 PM
Yes, recently there are lots of days where the luck s bellow 100%. This means that recently Antpool has been giving us under average results.
Look at the graph at the bottom of the page.

In the last 8 days, 6 days are bellow average and only 2 days above average.

https://www.antpool.com/poolStats.htm

It did have some amazing luck for quite a while.  I know I mined there and enjoyed it.   And they are not doing bad on luck I just got spoiled with good luck.

I thought it might have been something due to DDOS attacks or other things.  But yesterday till earlier today it was like 120 percent luck. But they did this even it was having problems. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855548.msg11195120#msg11195120   So there went my theory.

Once more, take a look at the graph from the link.

https://www.antpool.com/poolStats.htm

The line s the average expected result. Take a look what they ve been delivering recently. Way below that.

what about this one?

https://hashflare.io/

From Estonia, Tallinn ... like cointellect

According to their site, HashCoins is their first service. HashCoins is ASIC manufacturer but they are liars. HashCoins Bitcointalk account isn't online since March. They may have a small ASICs setup for mining but this is obvious ponzi. They didn't even provide an image. Don't invest there.

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417623.msg9823103#msg9823103.
Thanks for the info.
Anyway, being from the very same place as cointellect doesn't help.
Wink

No photos, no mining address, no money. Easy.
