5281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your Bitcoin at $100,000 or what? on: December 06, 2017, 10:42:28 AM
Looking at the pace at which Bitcoin is rising, I can't rule out the possibility of the exchange rates hitting $100,000 per coin mark in the medium term. That much high price will be extremely tempting. I guess I will dump at least half of my (remaining) coins, if Bitcoin ever reaches that level.
5282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin so expensive? on: December 06, 2017, 06:03:25 AM
We are making the wrong comparison. We are comparing the price of 1 Bitcoin, to 1 oz of gold or with $100 banknote. That has to change. I'd request everyone to denominate their holdings in mBTC (or even Satoshis) instead of BTC. The psychological effect is huge.
5283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 06, 2017, 05:59:16 AM
if it is true in 2018 McDonalds receive payments using bitcoin I will be very happy, because I am one of the buyers who really like the product. it can facilitate me also in the payment process. and that means McDonald supports the advancement of the world of cryptocurrency through the payment of bitcoins. hopefully it happens.

Don't get too excited about it. There are a lot of roadblocks. Even if the issue with fee/confirmations can be removed with the usage of a third party processor (such as Coinbase), the legal and logistical issues remain. McDonald's need to find a bank where they can deposit their earnings from BTC (trust me, it is difficult). And also, they need to convince the authorities that BTC is a legal form of payment.
5284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late for Bitcoin? on: December 06, 2017, 05:53:37 AM
We all know that bitcoin is now rising and rising. And before this year ends it is expected to rise doubled the price right now. Is it too late to invest Bitcoin?

I have seen at least 5-6 similar threads here during the last few weeks. And look at the price change since the OP made this post. When he made the post, the exchange rate was around $11,000 per coin. Now it is at $12,300 per coin, which represents a 10% ROI in 96 hours. This thread itself is a proof that it is not too late to invest in Bitcoins.
5285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touches $10,000 in Bithumb(south korean exchange) on: December 04, 2017, 07:42:13 AM
One thing I have noticed is that the exchange rates in the Asian markets are always higher than those in the European and American markets. For example, in India the exchange rates are going at around $13,000 per coin, when the Coinbase exchange rate is $11,500. Similarly in Korea, the exchange rate is $12,500 per coin.
5286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why people from 3rd countries are crazy about getting cryptos? on: December 04, 2017, 07:39:37 AM
I am living in a third world country (India) and I am not surprised by the sudden spurt in demand for cryptos from these nations. In almost all of the third world nations, the national currencies are very weak. They get devalued every year and people don't want to store their wealth in these currencies. A classic example is that of the Zimbabwean Dollar.
5287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $40,000 in 2018? on: December 04, 2017, 07:37:53 AM
My guess is that if every thing goes as planned (especially with the CME listing), then Bitcoin has the potential to touch levels of $40,000 to $50,000 per coin during the next 3-4 months. Derivative trading almost always result in astronomically higher prices. This is true with commodities, as well as with digital assets.
5288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11k plus is the price of Bitcoin Now. my fear is..... on: December 04, 2017, 07:24:18 AM
I also think a correction is coming very soon. I am not sure when and I am skeptical on selling my Bitcoin as it might keep going up. But this is the game we're all playing lol.. to attempt to see the correction points. I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall back down to $5500-7000 range before soaring back up.

I will not rule out a correction. Once the derivative trading starts in CME, the short sellers may attempt to bring down the price of BTC. Derivative trading opens all sort of possibilities. There can be a pump and dump, or there can be a major correction. But at least in the beginning, the prices will go up.
5289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: December 04, 2017, 07:19:37 AM
Paypal can process tens of thousands of transactions every minute. But Bitcoin is capable of handling only around 200 transactions per minute (even BCH is capable of handling only around 1,500 transactions per minute). Unless Bitcoin is able to handle as many transactions as Paypal, it will be impossible for it to overtake Paypal.
5290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: December 04, 2017, 07:17:25 AM
Bitcoins are currently worth $ 11,000. From the beginning of 2017 until now, bitcoin has been x7 times. Currently my main income comes from tradecoin and bitcoin. I am sending all my savings into bitcoin. Be very careful when investing.

LOL... You are saying that you should be very careful while investing. And at the same point, you are saying that you are converting all of your savings to Bitcoin. You are already having a sizable Bitcoin stash. What is the need to increase the risk by adding more coins?
5291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: December 04, 2017, 07:15:35 AM
By "real" money do you mean fiat cash? If that is the case, then you are mistaken. I would not consider fiat cash as real money. It is more like a government run ponzi scheme. The central banks can print as many banknotes as they want, and no one would ever raise a finger. At least for Bitcoin, there is a well defined limit on the maximum number of coins.
5292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: December 04, 2017, 07:12:53 AM
I can't be sure Bitcoin can be replaced by another coin but in my opinion it will happen. Wink

If it happens in the future, then Bitcoin can blame itself. If Bitcoin is without any major flaws, then few users would prefer using another coin. Alts such as BCH are on the rise, because Bitcoin transactions have become too expensive now. It is like Bitcoin killing itself.

5295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what is the fate of Zimbabwe after Mugabe's exit? on: November 22, 2017, 07:31:29 AM
Zimbabwe is a failed nation. I am glad that finally Robert Mugabe has been overthrown. But it is going to take decades to stabilize the economy. Also, I hope that the new ruler will encourage the white farmers to return to the farms from where they were driven away.

After supporting Deep Onion for more than two months, today I got banned from their forum without any reason. I wanted to ask the moderator why I was banned. So I created an alternate account and asked him why I was banned. I was given no reason, and they banned by alternate account as well. Fed up with this. I am leaving Deep Onion.
We dont allow multiple accounts to farm deeppoints, you are free to go.

I had only one account. I created the alternate account after I was banned (Just to chat with moderator).

5299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2017, 03:50:40 PM
My original plan was to cash out my coins at $25,000 per coin (some time in 2022 or 2023), and purchase a house for myself. But now the exchange rates are rising so fast, that I have changed my plans. My revised target is $200,000 per coin, and I want to purchase a private island for myself using the proceedings from the coin sale.
5300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: November 20, 2017, 03:47:00 PM
It is not just Bitcoin and technology. The sad truth is there will always be crime. If criminals think that they can get away with it and make money from some new invention, they will use it to commit crime.

You are absolutely right. It is foolish to blame Bitcoin for the crimes. If Bitcoin was not there, then the criminals might have used some other form of anonymous payment. And if I am not wrong, Bitcoin is rapidly losing its value among the criminals. Now they are preferring completely anonymous currencies such as Zcash and Monero over Bitcoin.
