5281  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your favorite manga? on: September 28, 2020, 07:31:28 AM
one piece and one punch man manga  Grin

Yeah same for me. I haven't watched One Piece in a long time but it was definitely my favourite when growing up. One punch man is awesome too, also something for elder persons. I wish I could speak Japanese.

We are live now. Both tables with no delay.

Come enjoy the last table of people with us.

https://www.twitch.tv/globb0

You stream is cool, like your outfit especially. If you will keep this up regularly I think there will be many more people watching.

I saw you also missed the Bit Ace tournament, maybe next weekend =)

Why don't you have any delay of like 2-5 minutes? Are you not afraid someone will snipe your stream?

Good luck for this week
5283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 27, 2020, 07:07:58 PM
I have been gambling a lot these days with soccer matches but I'm not enough lucky to make a profit. Howeber, I'm not into huge loss. It's very tiny amount if I check all the previous P/L.
I don't bet big amount. Usually, I bet $4/$5 worth of BTC on a lot of matches; sometimes I win and sometimes I loss. But that can't make me any profit.
Should I go for bigger amount of bets on few matches or stay with current strategy (placing many bets of small amounts)?

I think it all depends on how sure you are on the bets, if you are 99% certain of a win I would recommend betting high, but if you don't know for sure, it's better to just bet small. I personally prefer to spread out by bets and bet smaller. If I gamble less than $10 on a bet I am not triggered if I lose and I can also go for riskier bets.
Maybe try a few more weeks your current strategy and see how it goes? We shouldn't abandon our strategies to fast.
5284  Other / Off-topic / Re: After failure, what should we do? on: September 27, 2020, 06:57:52 PM
After failure we have to try to move forward with education from there. Success comes after failure instead of trying to recover from the trauma you need to work on your plan. The richest people in the world have achieved success after failure It will make you more frustrated so try to move forward with your own worries. Get positive results negative ideas always lead to destruction.

I agree with you, failures can always happen and we need to deal with them in a constructive way. Humans are not perfect so everyone is going to make at least once in his life a mistake. It's all about staying positive and don't lose track of your goals. If we fall, we need to keep back up. A good saying I heard about failure is, that every failure just means you are one step closer to success.
5285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Technology and comfort taking over our lives. Privacy, a thing of the past? on: September 27, 2020, 06:44:17 PM
Data are the new oil. And companies are using that. Sooner or latter mentality about it will change and people will use products and services where they dont give out any data. At this point of time there is lite demand fro that. But that will change. Probably already in this decade. If not this then next.

I hope you have heard the term "BIG DATA"
There is no privacy left and all our activity online and offline are traced and recorded in the form of data. This data can be used for good things like targeted marketing or it can be misused at any level.

I wouldn't call targeted marketing such a great thing, looking at some products just once will likely keep them in your recommendation list for a long time. The rise of a lot of different VPN companies shows in my opinion that the is a huge demand for privacy in the internet. People are willing to pay for such privacy and the more our data is getting exploited the higher the demand for security from such marketing companies.
5286  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold Price Prediction & its impact on cryptocurrencies on: September 27, 2020, 06:37:10 PM
Have you ever wondered why metals are used for savings? Yes, because it is a PHYSICAL object with which nothing will happen and which is independent of electricity, the Internet and the blockchain.
...

Traders who invest in gold are no longer dealing with a physical object. For such investors, gold has long been a digital currency, which is expressed in numbers on the monitor screen. Although everyone understands that this digital asset cannot be exchanged for physical gold.

That is not always the case, I know some friends of my parents who are older and they all store real gold at a deposit in a bank. Among the elderly population it's pretty common to invest in physical gold, they just don't trust financial derivatives that mirror the gold price. In my opinion the motivation to buy gold is very similar to buy cryptos. Investors want security which they can't find in the traditional assets like stocks and bonds.
5287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: September 27, 2020, 06:27:36 PM
I am involved in crypto currencies to diversify my portfolio and earn some returns outside of the traditional asset classes. The government has too much influence over fiat money in my opinion. And cryptos offer a good way to get some independence from the central banks. Also crypto wallets over a good way to store money outside of the reach of banks. With the last government crisis in Europe in 2011 we saw the risk of banks going bankrupt and losing all the money in the saving accounts.

It's sad if people don't see any way out of their pain and suffering and end up taking their own life's. There is also some blame going towards society because we couldn't help enough or show another way out.

One sign I saw on a bridge impressed me the most, taking your own life doesn't end the pain, I just transfers it to other. There will be people who miss you and will be hurting if you disappear
5289  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Learn something positive from COVID-19 on: September 27, 2020, 04:07:14 PM
I think businesses found new way of working remotely. Many multi national companies allowed their workers to work from home and yet effectively manage the business. This trend may continue after the pandemic to save the costs which organizations spend on building and rents. If half of their work force can work from home, this will reduce their management cost.
You can call this a positive findings in the pandemic time.

I agree with you, the corona pandemic forced many companies to rethink there business model. Working from cubicles in huge office floors doesn't seem so important anymore. Company policies become more and more relaxed for home office and flexible working times. I really like how working now becomes more reliant on the internet and offers a better flexibility for workers. I think we will see less and less demand for office spaces in the future, the real estate market is changing too.
5290  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: September 27, 2020, 03:23:46 PM
Maybe those criminal's doesn't know yet about crypto or it is easy for them to use the fiat money which is used of all people in everyday lives instead of putting their time on learning in cryptocurrency. Also they prefer the money that they can easily spend without any transaction to make like in cryptocurrency.

Yeah it might the case that cyber criminals love crypto currencies but for the average criminal the education in IT and internet issue is probably very low and they will not trust any cryptos. I would assume that they will value cash always the highest, because they can see and touch it. Also when paying with cash you are more independent. When paying with cprytos you need internet access and government might track you.

5294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people keep playing unlicensed, illegal slot machines? on: September 26, 2020, 01:02:31 PM
Why do people keep playing slot machines in any way? Doesn't matter legal it or not. There is so many good gambling games. Even BJ in 100 times better than typical "monkey" slot. But we have Bridge, poker, Preference, many asian gambling games which needed a lot of skill and will reward you with a big amount of emotion.

P,S: In Ukraine, there 90 % of slots is illegal, he he. So for addicted people there not too much variants what to play.

The thing about slots is that you don't need any skills to play them. You can just put your money in an play. And the Jackpot advertisements are very misleading. The chance are so low to win, but yet you have to pay only very small amount. With a lot of flashy lights and noises it's visually attractive. Another factor for the high demand of slots, even if they are rigged systems is that you insert cash nd get legit winnings. No one is checking how you got the money to play slots, It's a great tool for criminals to launder money. If you lose between 10 - 20% of your money it's a great tool to get legit money. And if you work together with the owners of the machines it's a win win situation for everybody.
5295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: September 25, 2020, 05:06:12 PM

All of the interesting things in technology are probably expensive and I doubt that some gamblers will look forward to it. Even professional gamblers still prefer actual gambling than virtual reality gambling and probably it's a short-term business only.

Gambling VR is a new meta in the industry but VR isn't at the peak right now and only a few gamblers will appreciate it. VR business is not that in demand even in the gaming industry, only a few buy VR for it.

For professional gamblers VR might not be the right equipment, but most of the people playing in a casino are actually not professionals. For them it's more about having fun and enjoying a night out. When I go to physical casinos with friends it's nice to win some money, but you can't count on it. Otherwise you will just be miserable if you lose that night. For thre recreational gambler VR casino offer a great new way to interact with people. In my opinion there is definitely demand for such kind of games where it's not only about gambling but also about interacting with your fellow gamblers. VR offers a lot of new possibilities for casinos. I think it's a good idea.
5296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: September 25, 2020, 08:46:10 AM
I really love the game Valorant which why I do enjoy playing it together with my friends. Seems like the same concept with Call of Duty (COD), Players Unknown Battle Ground (PUBG) which are the real deal games before Valorant's existence. Actually all of those games are really great and considerably great to be played with. I have not played Valorant based on betting with other people only with my friends but those were not a decent bet to think for that is just for fun. But if ever, I would take a chance to bet on playing it for somehow I am getting used on having confidence on my playing skills on this game making me up to play and bet on it.

I am getting more and more into valorant myself. Its a great interactive game with a lot of features compared to old school games like CSGO. Still working on understanding the competitive scene of valorant. Getting into betting would be the next step for me. I missed the hole fortnite hype so valorant will be my first game I betting on after CSGO, LoL and dota. Any pretty safe bet recommendations for new gamblers here?
5297  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: September 25, 2020, 08:28:28 AM
Bitcoins are good for an economy because they provide more independence and diversification for merchants, investors and gamblers. Bitcoins enable the users a cheap alternative to fiat currencies. The only problem a country and its economy face is that they are giving up its monetary policy monopoly. Which is not a bad thing. It only becomes bad once crypto currencies are misused for illegal  activities. If investors use bitcoins to avoid paying taxes its a bad thing. Tax evasion hurts an economy a lot, but most tax issues are done with cash in fiat and not cryptos.
5298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World 2020 - LoL World Championship on: September 25, 2020, 07:52:14 AM
Mad lions is an obvious favourite here, but the odds are definitely disproportionate. I have the impression that nobody is taking the Brazilian team seriously and they may surprise the solid but not prominent Europeans

25 Sep 2020 - 10:00
MAD Lions  vs INTZ e-Sports (
Pick: INTZ e-Sports @ 5.06 pinnacle

I am no export in LoL, only played a little myself and watch some tournaments from time to time. MAD Lions have a good team but not sure if they can make it to the finals - there are plenty of good teams out there. I like G2 Esports from Europe a lot more and Top Esports from China seem to be the favourite. I will probably just bet for the finals.
5299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Worthwhile freerolls and low stakes high prize on: September 24, 2020, 02:11:03 PM

5300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 24, 2020, 10:12:41 AM
Actually it depend how your activity to gamble, if you have healthy mind you will aware that is the worst thing to do. You may have 5% to pay your loan because the rest you will just lose money and trying to borrow money to another person. But, when you being an addict you may no have these thing, you will just focus on borrow money to meet your lusty and you will confuse and lamenting when your bet gone wrong and you lose the money.
Borrowing is a big no no when you want to do is to gamble. Surely one will be in great debt after lossing the money in the gambling activity and this not sound good paying debt without seeing some things that we could say money being borrowed was being put to good use. I suggest when borrowing money it should only be done to a good purpose and not into gambling. Borrowing money may be like for building a house, buying a car, investment purposes and etc.

I only borrow some if i know for sure that i can repay after a x amount of time. I get some affiliate at the end of the month and i can see upfront how much that minimum will be.

The problem with a gambling addiction is that it changes you. You are not rational anymore and your actions become much more impulsive. Without you really realising it. Let's say you lose big one time, instead of evaluating what went wrong you only focus on making that money back. Which usually leads to higher losses because you are emotionally too invested. If everyone would keep acting rational there would be no gambling addiction. I think it's mainly the job of friends and family to notice a change in behaviour and gambling habits.
