5301  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam questions on: April 26, 2015, 06:01:53 PM
I want to start investing and was wondering what happens if investment is not 100% funded after expiration date?
Also for a loan say repaid in 60 days does the count down for repayment starts as soon as i invested? bit confused because borrower say they will repay the first of the month so if i invest today borrower would repay me in a week?
What does NAR stasnds for?
Some borrower say for instance "will fund at 70%" what does this mean?
BTCjam says % of loan repaid is 90% does it means 10% of people scam? how can they get away with it? I just discovered this site ,i like the concept but there is a lot of things unclearif any one can answer my questions i would appreciate ,thanks

I like BTCjam. I haven't used them in a few months, but I've done a good amount of investing and I did one borrow.

1) what happens if investment is not 100% funded after expiration date? Then the listing will be dropped and the borrower can re-post their loan request.
2) does the count down for repayment starts as soon as i invested? Repayment starts from the day the loan is funded, not your investment date.
3) borrower say they will repay the first of the month so if i invest today borrower would repay me in a week? Some people do weekly payments, some pay monthly. If they say they'll pay at the 1st of the month and the loan is funded today, yes you will get your first payment in a week.
4) what does NAR stand for? Not sure where do you see NAR?
5) Some borrower say for instance "will fund at 70%" what does this mean? This means 100% funding is not required. If the listing expires and they hit 71% funding, but not 100%, then the loan will still commence.
6) BTCjam says % of loan repaid is 90% does it means 10% of people scam? There were a lot of scammers when they first started, but they have beefed up their collection efforts especially for borrowers within the US. There are still scammers on there.

Lending and credit review is what I do for a living, so it's fun to do it with my own money sometimes. I've had two loans go bad on BTCjam, but I still came out with a decent profit from all my good loans. Don't invest all in one person, spread it around to mitigate risk. Good luck!

Every loan can go bad, regardless of how hard you look. Unless they introduce some form of collateral/insurance, I consider this high risk investment. BTClend had a good idea to introduce Paycoin based collateral, their only mistake was they selected Paycoin to implement this. Another casualty of Josh Garza.
5302  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: antpool profit on: April 26, 2015, 08:56:48 AM
Yes, recently there are lots of days where the luck s bellow 100%. This means that recently Antpool has been giving us under average results.
Look at the graph at the bottom of the page.

In the last 8 days, 6 days are bellow average and only 2 days above average.

5303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC's Close-future on: April 26, 2015, 08:53:55 AM
We ve had this question asked hundred of times. My answer is always the same. An appropriate regulatory framework which would allow entrance of Wall Street investors. That would make our journey very pink.
5304  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: April 26, 2015, 08:52:31 AM
I'm quite okay with a stable price.
The 1000$ one was fake and determined too many illusions with no basis.
But now with a steady grow maybe one day we'll see again a real 1000$ evaluation.
Let's prepare popcorn...
 Wink

next time we will see 1k again, it won't be a fake pump for sure, or at least we hope so, we need to consolidate it as a new high floor, and continue from there

it's all about buiding rock solid floor

yes true very soon within few months we will see Bitcoin again cross 1k in price or even more than 1k to 1.3k this time, many market experts make analysis and predict about this upcoming floor about Bitcoin actual price floor, Bitcoin is more solid investment i will go to world trip if price up to 1k again. Grin

Really? Would you share your sources for this? Unless this is only your best guess.
5305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What to invest BTC in? on: April 26, 2015, 07:52:37 AM
is not the 2 or 3 month ROI the issue, if somebody can give 2 - 3 months and be legit is good not bad.

there are investments with ROI 1 year or more and at the end shows us that are scams
and this had happen in every investment idea on btc or other

if btc stops magically, scammers will continue their scams

yes always the people are the spammers. week people that need more and more

No sane service provider would sell golden goose which lays golden eggs which provide 2-3 months ROI. Only total idiot or a scammer would do that.

Remember, this is 2-3 months ROI including service fee which means actual ROI for service provider s even lower. Would you ever do it if you had that kind of service in your possession? Why would you do it?
It would not be a problem to get financed by private investors and avoid dealing with thousands of small investors, security, public exposure, etc.

I know what service you talk about, I know you are deeply invested with them and I hope you reach ROI but there s no way they are legit and your payments come from other people deposits.

5306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Red button on: April 26, 2015, 06:56:21 AM
Excessive regulation could be a red button. The lack or regulation could be a red button as well since scammers would take over.

Other then that, I see no danger for BTC. I used to think that banks might try to do something about it directly but now I see there s no way.
5307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What to invest BTC in? on: April 26, 2015, 06:54:24 AM
I think the main problem is that people get drawn away from legit operations towards operations which promise 2-3 months ROI. Greed takes over and people lose money. Then they complain about being scammed.
It s so simple, if ROI s 3 months and they provide no explanation how do they do that, STAY AWAY. Control your greed and you ll do fine.
5308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 26, 2015, 06:51:44 AM
Did we ever get an answer if the umisoo 10 day in a row timer reset when they were positive those few days in between?

If not, think umisoo is done this time for sure.. might drag out a little longer if the 10 day timer was reset at some point.

It has been positive for the last 6 days. If we hit negative again the 10 days would restart.

....and here is negative, big time BTC drop. So we start the countdown again.

what about this one?

https://hashflare.io/

From Estonia, Tallinn ... like cointellect

According to their site, HashCoins is their first service. HashCoins is ASIC manufacturer but they are liars. HashCoins Bitcointalk account isn't online since March. They may have a small ASICs setup for mining but this is obvious ponzi. They didn't even provide an image. Don't invest there.

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417623.msg9823103#msg9823103.

No photos of the farm, no mining address. No thank you.
5310  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 25, 2015, 02:04:22 PM
http://nextdifficulty.com with ROI of asics works again

sigh............. why on earth can we have a 10% drop in bitcoin difficulty whenever it goes down always has been single digits but for it to rise in double digit difficulty dont seem to be unheard off

Cause the only think which plays in this industry is how much money you have to invest.
5311  Economy / Securities / Re: [KRYPTOLOGIKA] Trade silver-backed hash power for the best prices! on: April 25, 2015, 09:02:30 AM
But the thing is that we started mining hosting ourselves. Then we used a combined hashing power of our jupiters, neptunes and private enterpreneurs from China. THen we added a few cloud mining services and resigned from our own hardware etc. And basically we are always looking to allocate the hashing power in the best offers available so I am really unable to show one consistent pool or hashrate etc. I do not think we will be ever mining at one particular place. THis strategy makes it possible to reduce the prices and keep the business afloat. And believe me I am not doing any significant profits out of this, I think rather that if we can survive say a year from now the trust and value of this undertaking will gain in value. Then perhaps with our goodwill we may think of taking a strategic investor on board or do something much more serious on a greater scale.

THere are many other issues apart from that, mostly positive. I have a new job now and will be able to invest further in development of kryptologika in a few months. On the other hand BTC is very low, silver is low as well so we are not shining and this bug with the trading engine was really not easy to sort out. So from this point I really do not care about the credibility or whether someone is alleging we are scammers or con artists. And personally I do not like Puppet.

If I were you, I would not post these kind of threads. In BTC world, credibility s everything. If you lose that, the only people you can count to work with are newbies and other scammers. None of these last long, the first group learns and stop being newbies. The second group....well....not worth of mentioning.
5312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bots on: April 25, 2015, 07:22:43 AM
What would be the most simple bot to use on one exchange only to buy and sell 1 or 2 currencies only?

Basically all I need is the bot to keep my order at the top of ask/bid range and that  s all.
5313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's evolution on: April 25, 2015, 07:19:15 AM
It all comes down to the number of people using BTC. Current numbers are anywhere between 500k and 2-3 million. Probably closer to the first figure. If we do manage to reach 10 mill some time in the future, lots of big guys ll become suddenly interested in crypto. It s basically a snowball effect, a smaller snowball keeps rolling down the hill and creating a larger one.
5314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 25, 2015, 07:17:01 AM
Hah. I understand your fear of another LTCgear alike catastrophic event. However, unless you have 50 BTC into hashnest, checking it 12 times a day over $2.30 daily payout s really not worth of your time, right?

I know we all have our hobbies but you need to consider opportunity cost of your time wasted on checking things which should operate on its own.
5315  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What to invest BTC in? on: April 25, 2015, 07:13:48 AM
you should probably hold your BTC till the price goes up and gets stable, then you can think of investment options, investing now is too risky, we may wake up tomorrow and BTC price is $10, wait until the price is stable

This is even dumber advice. If we all hold our BTC, how is this economy going to grow?

NO!! There are tons of interesting projects, you just need to find them.

It seems Cryptsy still might have problem with one of their wallets.
I ve just made a test withdrawal and my coin never arrived. Also, tx is not visible on the blockchain so one of their wallets still might be on a wrong chain.

I suggest you do not deposit/withdraw on Cryptsy until we hear back from them.

Check this one out while you are searching for recent news on Gawminers:

It gets worse the more I dig. That guy really scammed hundreds if not thousands. We ll see what s gonna happen but I highly doubt he ll be able to get out of this without some serious jail time.
5318  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: April 24, 2015, 07:14:04 PM
This is fine but market capitalization is next to nothing, 23 BTC in total. I think I ll stick to DMD Diamond, it offers the same stake rate and 20x more market cap. It s important to have large market cap to be able to sell staked coins.

Fair point... But I am among those that believes the price will increase as development goes rapidly and devs seem to know that they are doing.
I somehow missed that DMD Diamond thing at all. Is it popular and would I not be late to stake some? I mean I really like what I do with PayCON and would eagerly expand my portfolio in PoS if I see a good coin.

I think you still can snatch a few k DMD, even though supply has been drastically reduced due to recent PoW reward reduction from 1 DMD to 0.2 DMD per block.
People like to hoard this coin, hamster mentality. Still, market cap is $120k, lots of place to grow.

0.004BTC\Ghs, maintenance 0$ - very cool offer!
Does somebody use it? Scam?

Very expensive. 1 TH for 4 BTC. Ugh, pricey, even with fees included.

Who is cheaper? Only Hashnest

And bit-x.
Hashnest: 1.18 USD/TH/day
Bit-X: 1.66 USD/TH/day

You guys have to pay more attention in school. Math is not that hard...

I still don't understand how Bit-X works, how is their mine designed exactly?

Yes, these two are my primary choice ATM.

Is anyone else experiencing any kind of malware attacks?
Malwarebytes Anti malware has blocked
ip 222.88.91.2 numerous times the past few days.
I woke up this morning mining and minting, I had a few pending confirmed transactions.
I had a getwork failure solomining so I decided to reboot my pc.
Locked and closed the wallet.
Rebooted PC.
Upon reloading the wallet it seemed sluggish,
Windows was telling me it was not responding.
It cleared but upon unlocking the wallet it would not go into minting mode.
It did unlock but no minting. I locked it and tried a backup wallet.dat from yesterday.
Reloaded. Synced. Unlocked and it did go to minting mode.
But I fired up my sgminer for soloming and I could not getwork from wallet to miner Sad
Started from scratch. Resynced from clean chain including re-downloading Diamond qt.
Clean Sync. Checked block count. Its all good.
Goto unlock the wallet and within 5 seconds of unlocking and going to minting mode
My Malwarebytes notifys me it has blocked 222.88.91.2 daimond qt outbound.
I locked it,closed the wallet.
Reloaded wallet but I am not unlocking it for a day or so.
I want to see if it repeats attack while locked..
My piles can age. I'm a little spooked.
It just seems  the last three days have been problems for me
and malwarebytes keeps having to block this attacker.
Anyone else experiencing this or symptoms?Huh

Nope. I m fine, my software reports nothing.
