5301  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Disrupting our Financial Landscape? on: February 26, 2023, 02:37:07 PM
Although this is beneficial for developing countries, where traditional banking services may not be available or accessible, we couldn't deny the fact that it is slowly changing or disrupting the financial structure that we knew.

what do you guys think?
No reasonable economist will ignore the fact that Bitcoin is changing the financial system, it has come as an advanced system in the finance stream, and the world has no choice but to embrace it. Although I advocate a workaround it in terms of regulation, which is the only way it could stick to a more merit side than the negative side.

With regulations, economies would be recorded for the due countries and illicit transactions would reduce unlike what is happening now.
5302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is there so much resistance for Bitcoin reaching $25,000 on: February 26, 2023, 02:14:40 PM
I noticed the level too, it has proven itself to be extreme resistance this year, and if broken, Bitcoin might be on its way to $35,000. Unfortunately, if it could not, Bitcoin might tumble below $20,000 and dive towards $15,000 afterwards. Let me believe that this is beyond any economic consideration, it's more technical and in line with the market sentiment.

Traders are not willing to purchase the coin beyond $25,000, which is why it regularly retraces quickly back on reaching a level close to it.
5303  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 26, 2023, 07:45:08 AM
I think those who take part in this kind of betting are definitely not newbies who will lose a large sum of money by suddenly entering into gambling. Of course the person who lost this money is not a new gambler. Moreover, he has adequate financial support where he is in a position to recover even if he loses. It's a kind of gambling strategy where he lost but that doesn't mean he did anything wrong. Luck didn't favor him so he had to lose. If history could be observed, his victory would be seen in that particular betting.
My dear, there is no justification for this kind of unwise approach to gambling, this guy is unwise in it, he's never professional or managerial in such gambling. He was overconfident with it which is a folly act, and mind you, if he continues foolishly like this, he will never going to recover what he lost as you might believe. Recovering losses with the approach of such low odds will take too much time which might take even longer since he can't be winning all his bets until the amount is recovered.

Also, he might be rich as you claim, but not wise, and he should have given the charity the money if he needed something to waste.
5304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 26, 2023, 07:22:44 AM
Napoli is playing very comfortably, beating anyone who comes their way. It wasn't expected that Empoli would do anything against such a strong opponent anyway. Napoli won another game easily. They never force themselves. They can score very easily. After scoring 2 goals in the first half hour, they already let the opponent's guard down. Despite Mario Rui's red card, Empoli couldn't attack or score. No team can stand against such a dominant Napoli. Osimhen scored his 19th goal. Looks like he's going to be top scorer.
I was very confident of the winner by Napoli, who would think otherwise? A less-performing Empoli is not a team that will beat such a well-prepared and deserving team like Napoli that no team in the Seria A is able to defeat them in many matches played this season. Their striking skill is good and they've won the trophy already with their present status.

The 18 points they are leading their nearest opponent with is nothing so common among football competitions, and the thing I like about them is that the present status doesn't make the team degenerate.
5305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 26, 2023, 07:11:58 AM
Chelsea will have the chance today to prove that they still a big team when they played against Tottenham, the spurs recently have good results with 6 points in 2 matches and a win against Manchester city and they will surely try to keep the rythem while Chelsea will try hard to stop their catastrophic results
Are you kidding me? Chelsea have a chance against Tottenham the way they have been playing and disappointing themselves and their fans? I don't think so. Although football is surprising, but with the present feat and morale of Chelsea, they are in the bottom line of psychology and self-belief, Tottenham will take advantage of that to beat them easily.

You have said it yourself, the performances of Tottenham have been good recently, so what do you expect?
5306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: February 25, 2023, 02:58:55 PM
I keep seeing videos on Youtube related to how good this A.I project called ChatGPT is very good trading and we all know how unreliable those YouTubers are, so I bring this on here instead, have you use this A.I project for trading yet? Any one?

UPDATE

Sorry guys its actually OpenAI not ChatGPT
I can't ascertain the source of your info, you should have at least shared the link to the Youtube video that claims such. Well, be informed that many of the Youtubers are pathetic lies, they are only trying to gain traffic to their page. From what I know about the two (CahrtGPT and OpenAI), they are not coded to tare for anyone, but to give information.

However, some people might want to try to manipulate them into giving them trading advice, but I am sure that they will fail in that because they are not designed for such a purpose.

5308  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: February 25, 2023, 08:09:41 AM
I didn't know I would come across this kind of story when I thought of my past missed opportunities in about 30 minutes ago. It might remain as a regret for life as one might have made a life-changing success through them. Mine is similar to yours in the case of landed properties and real estate as a whole, Gold, US dollar and Crypto investments miss.

It hurts, but I've started investing in all of them now, which is making the regret reduce but can never be abolished because I might have worth over $50M now.
5309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 25, 2023, 07:54:40 AM
Union Berlin are also in the title race technically maybe. But I don't think they will last until the final moments of the season. They don't seem to be like a very consistent team this season. They made a really solid start indeed and led the standings for some time as well. But some weeks later they started a pretty bad form and this caused them to lose a couple of positions. Now they have climbed back and joined the race again. But I don't see any reason for them not to have the same things again.

Union Berlin don't have a squad full of talented players now. This makes things harder for them as for consistency. I think Dortmund and Bayern Munich will be only teams left in the title race later on.
I agree that Union Berlin is the 3rd team after Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund of course. But usually the less favored teams are more willing to prove themselves that what people think of them is wrong. We'll see if they can consistently be in the title race or they are the first team to come out of the Bundesliga title race this season. What I want to see is that they can get it to the end of the season.
Union Berlin has done well this season unlike many seasons ago, I will not conclude that they are the third-rated in the league but they have done well beyond expected this season. Still, consistency matters before they can earn the old glory you are trying to ascribe to them. They are giving the likes of Bayern and Dortmund a good chase. It was not like that a while ago, but it's a kneeling contested spot now with the three clubs now having the same points.
5310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you keep your gambling habit under control? on: February 25, 2023, 07:37:42 AM
It's easy: I don't think much about it and treat it as a form of entertainment to kill time rather than to win something significant. Never really had any problems with my gambling habits ever since I started doing it a few years back. Also, I have fully accepted that whatever money I am throwing at the casino. there's no way I'll ever get it back, and I guess that acceptance is what probably saved me from chasing losses, which is a bad habit to develop in the first place.
Everyone doesn't have the same mindset. You have the mind to accept the loss and never go behind the loss to be recovered. Even I spend on gambling to kill time, but I loss control at some point when I keep losing. Here I start chasing the loss and at times I was able to recover and most of the time it'll be a big loss. This is what everyone should understand and have control over.
In your case, you might think you want to use gambling to pass away time, but in practice, it's beyond that, you are actually for the money, only that you don't want to admit time. I gamble for fun, so I know what I mean, if I lose, I let it go, I don't chase it, which was why I always gamble with a very little amount.

My principle is that any money that enters my wagering account is for the account, not what will make me get rich or what I expect a return from. And surprisingly, I don't lose my money often as I lose and gain with almost the same magnitude, I don't chase losses.
5311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game that you suffer consistent losses but still keep playing? on: February 24, 2023, 02:06:23 PM
The game is called Big Bamboo by push gaming. I keep coming back because of its cool animation and early payout. This attracts me to play more because it gives me false hope that I can win bigger amount on next spin.
It's high time you quit, it's not worth it. With your explanation, you are just wasting money unnecessarily, do you think that is reasonable? I don't think so. And if you don't know, what you are facing with the Bamboo is the same thing the addicted gambler faces in their life, so you are actually addicted to it.

The mindset that you would get rich quicker by it has entrapped your mind, and if you must know, it's simply false, you won't, so break free. Perhaps you were lured to it by the first winnings, the latter is the reality, my friend.
5312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance's 98% Dominance: Should We Be Worried? on: February 24, 2023, 11:45:34 AM
Nope. Volume dominance clearly shows that Binance is the most trusted exchange right now but it doesn’t give much concerned since their founder is clearly dox and will not runaway. If ever he will runaway, There’s no way he can hide all those coin away from the public eyes.

I believe the only that concerns me is the decreasing number of interest on other exchange which might be a cause for some exchange to go under since there will be income.
You are on point, Binance is somewhat trusted as the business is fully understood by the hands operating the company, they've even tried to increase trust when FTX collapsed last year. I believe this has led to increased trust in the company, but the statistic of the trading volume by the OP is certainly wrong.

Aside from the fact that I immediately disagree with it, I still visited "Coinmarketcap" yesterday, the trading volumes are not a replica of what the OP claims.

It's good to be sure of our sources of information to avoid being misled.

I wish to say a very big thank you for providing this valuable content, but I wish it was original, because from research I got to observed you just copy and paste from online and yet failed to provide link to where you got this article from. So I will suggest you add link to this thread O.P, as it is 20% plagiarize and 80% unique.

Nice catch. You would think people would know by now that members of this forum who care about post quality are going to catch out shitty posts. At least it is not completely plagiarized, and the parts that aren't are written somewhat okay. This thread would go great in the gambling awareness board, if it existed.

The are not into quality of the post but rather trying to get a merit for the thread they created since they think if they post something encouraging or useful they get a merit in return that's why this type of users copy some article and recycle it. Newbies should not follow what OP did since plagiarism is serious offense in this forum and they need to avoid doing such actions.

I thought i would help people in gambling
to not do what  i done , i just wanted to help
and about merit i am here just to learn not for getting merits or other kind of these things
i don't know exactly what merit is
What you posted is not bad, don't let anyone make you feel like it, but not sure if it's perfect in this place. Yet, you need to inform yourself fully about the forum, which I believe is the first thing you should have done. You need the forum rules, they will guide you so that you don't get infractions. 5314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 24, 2023, 10:02:38 AM
I invested with a small amount of money and from that small amount of money I lost like 5 dollars. But I am optimistic that I will definitely benefit from the amount I have invested.
You have done a good thing by investing, and I can assure you that Bitcoin will not fail you, it might only delay blessing you. Although you could have learned the investment better before engaging it, which would have helped you to speculate better to know when exactly to start the investment, and it would have avoided the initial losses incurred.

Well, the deed is done, I encourage you to be patient, the coin is on its bullish path between now and the next 2 years, so you will earn a multiple of your investment by then.
5315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I invest my 60% savings in Bitcoin? on: February 24, 2023, 09:45:07 AM
Many people are too eager to buy bitcoin, unfortunately when there is a difficult situation such as a red market like 2022 then they stop and immediately sell even with a loss condition, in my opinion this is a big mistake, better investment with a small amount that we can think of missing, and The most important thing is to be patient for hold, if we can hold at least 4 years then we have the opportunity to get a profit of 200% or maybe more.

True. Even if they hold bitcoins during bad market conditions instead of panic selling, they won't lose in the long run. Because 1 Bitcoin equals 1 Bitcoin.
The ideology that 1 BTC is 1 BTC is not a good thing for investments, the striking price matters. It might only be good for those that bought the coin when 1BTC is 1 USD. Otherwise, a person that bought it at $60,000 will not take it lightly losing so much with the coin being at below $25,000 for too long, and with no assurance that it will soon hit the striking point soon. Especially when the amount bought is much.

Investment is not a game or gambling, you need to be sure of what you are doing, not as many relate it to Bitcoin, it needs proper speculation and plans. If care is not taken with the ideology that 1 BTC is 1 BTC, good investors would have made millions while you will make nothing.
5316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How somebody can prove that my wallet belong to him? on: February 23, 2023, 02:12:10 PM
Your case and question don't portray sincerity and it's incomplete at the same time. Is the wallet custodial or noncustodial? Do you still have crypto assets in it?

Based on these, if you don't have crypto assets in it, why waste your time, go for another wallet for privacy and security reasons. But if you have crypto assets in it and it's custodial, contact your wallet company with your original details for a reclaim. However, if it's noncustodial, signing a known message with your private key will be the most viable way out.

#Update:
Huh.. But we can both signing from my wallet...

*It's not a real situation! It's just a model!
Lol...In this case, it's your carelessness and the person has all the needed information of the wallet. Quit it and move all your coins if you have any, and if still possible. Smiley
5317  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bank USSD codes to remember and the rise of OPAY for financial transactions. on: February 23, 2023, 08:21:58 AM
Thanks for sharing all these bank codes, there are still many of them, and even the Opay has its own USSD code that you did not capture here. That said, for quicker access, it's good to just google the code with the banks needed, and it will be easily displayed.

Besides, Opay is doing well right now, another one is Palmpay, they both are doing really well and seem to have dispaced Kuda from its relevance.

For the record, Kuda is losing yearly, I hope they will survive this. But must be with a better offer than what Opay and Palmpay have to offer Nigerians.
5318  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: February 23, 2023, 07:44:37 AM
Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%?
What I read is different from yours, it was claimed in that article that the wealth of the world is being controlled by 5% of people which I agree more than yours because it's evident around us, 20% (1,577,600,000 based on the 2021 world's pollution of 7.888B) is much. However, statistics fail, yet a near representation is often regarded as valid.

What governments can do to make it more equitable?
Government can do nothing about this as wealth is being distributed by God and luck. But government can try to eliminate the monopoly and dominance of some players in some sectors and empower citizens where they could through awareness, creative teaching, grant and others.
5319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Building bitcoin is building income on: February 23, 2023, 07:00:08 AM
Just like having a targeted saving in fiat, there is nothing bad in building your Bitcoin base, it's good and it's a way to be dedicated to something but must be determined to do it. I've realized that there is a lot of money we waste regularly, if committed to something painstakingly, it will be a value to be appreciated over time.

Sending it based on your capacity is a good thing, but it is more reasonable when this could be optimally achieved when the coin is at a low price. The return will be so much and I don't think that anyone trusting Bitcoin for long-term investment will lose in the end.
5320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Ways to Make Big Money at the Casino — Without Gambling on: February 23, 2023, 06:50:38 AM
Many have suggested tactics here but are still confused if this is gambling or criminality as any similar business could be pretended while a means like this is replicated. It's so distant from my expectation as separation to make money is the sole reason and might boomerang in most cases.  Some also suggested investments pretence, but using the investment to cover up for gambling in a criminal disguise is a step taken too far.
