5321  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Silver Wallet - You pick! on: March 14, 2015, 10:35:17 PM
Only 25 minutes left. If you want to bid, now is your chance!
5322  Economy / Gambling / Re: [TAABL] The original Bitcoin lottery is back... again! on: March 14, 2015, 10:20:30 PM
Unfortunately I just found a bug in our chain processing code (not the game code, but the one that stores all the blockchain data for use in our multiple services).

Nothing really major but still needs to be fixed asap, and given the volume of information it is going to take a few hours to do. All bets will be processed once that's done.

Sorry about that, but it really must be done now.
Just my luck, I just sent a small bet, hahaha. I can totally understand your reasoning though. Good luck!

Just ~2 hours left!
5324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitnodes Project 2015 Q1 Report: Peer Index and Incentivized Full Nodes on: March 14, 2015, 07:04:38 PM
I have a full node running but the vps it's hosted on isn't powerful enough to sustain 100+ connections so I won't be able to collect the price. It's still a petty neat idea!

100+ connections are not needed, your nodes has a PIX of 8.5338. All you have to do is register an address.

Edit: more here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=952996.0
Wait what? I thought their program was only for notes with a thousand connections or more. I'll look into it. Thanks shorena!

Snorek, that's an easy question. Dice websites have already proven themself to be a good way to get people's money. Why try something else? You never know if it works. So people and companies play it safe and create yet another dicing website.

I'm going to try out this website once I get home. Looks different and I like it.
5326  Economy / Services / Re: For 0.01 BTC I will phone call you using WHATSAPP on: March 14, 2015, 06:50:11 PM
WhatsApp used to communicate with it's servers through plain text but they added encryption once WhatsApp sniffers became a thing.

EDIT: WhatsApp is now encrypted?
Are my messages secure?

5328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a favorite city or country to spend time and Bitcoins? on: March 14, 2015, 03:01:33 PM
I mostly hang in Amsterdam as that is the closest big city with a Bitcoin life to me.
5329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: International bitcoin survey launched - 1btc split 16 ways up for grabs on: March 14, 2015, 02:59:56 PM
That was a nice survey and I hope you can use the information I've entered. Can't wait to see the results.
5330  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [YeldControl] Overview and list of all Bitcoin related investor-based games on: March 14, 2015, 02:07:11 PM
Thank you for stealing my thread design. If you had asked, I would have allowed you to use it.

Around ~12 hours are left until this auction is over!
5332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Double spending while spending bitcoin on stores on: March 13, 2015, 03:15:19 PM
Double spends are possible, but really hard to do because you would have to send both of them quickly and to two different parts of the network and hope that the seller picks up the one you are going to drop and the miners the one you want to be confirmed. Once a miner has seen a transaction it will reject any address that contains the same inputs.

I'm sure DannyHamilton or DeathAndTaxes can explain this a lot better. See this post by DeathAndTaxes for more information about sellers that accept 0 confirmation transactions.
5333  Other / Meta / Re: How to change trust rating on: March 13, 2015, 09:37:24 AM
Gebbit.com was scammed by the user Small as already detailed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=986642.0

Because he was angry at being caught he decided to lower my trust rating. What exactly do I need to do to fix my trust rating?
The only thing you can do is contact him and get him to remove or change your trust rating. Trust ratings aren't moderated and nobody can change them (except the person who rated of course).
5334  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 13, 2015, 09:23:43 AM
I'm looking for someone to manage a signature campaign for gebbit.com would you be interested Mitchell? If not I'm also willing to consider other members.

Also, it is worth noting I have a low trust rating because I got scammed not because I scammed anyone.
Link  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=986642.0
I'm sorry, I don't manage signature campaigns right now. It costs a lot of time and I just don't have that at the moment.

I've removed my negative feedback for now. Let's see how this plays out.
5335  Other / Meta / Re: question about bitcointalk in reguards to gambling on: March 13, 2015, 09:14:55 AM
But i have seen plenty of threads on the games and rounds section doing that and they werent deleted. ??
Just because we don't delete it, doesn't mean it is allowed. We can't possibly read everything on this forum, so we will miss things. If you see stuff like that, report it and it will be handled.
5336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why aliexpress don't use bitcoin ? on: March 12, 2015, 11:42:18 PM
I can use my bitcoins on AliExpress, but only because I use my Xapo Debit Card, which is loaded with Bitcoins. However, it would be pretty neat if they added a Bitcoin option.
5337  Other / Meta / Re: Is there an archive of historic threads? on: March 12, 2015, 11:40:34 PM
Hmmmm, a timeline with all the major threads would be a pretty sweet idea. I can't help you with it (sorry), but I would love to see something like this.
5338  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ New on FastSlots ★ RE-LAUNCHING COMPETITION WITH 2X THE PRIZE MONEY ★ on: March 12, 2015, 09:53:00 PM
Could you guys please fix this denomination issue? It's not pretty to see.

5339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the most creative way of keeping bitcoins in cold storage on: March 12, 2015, 09:36:20 PM
Aren't NFC thieves on the rise? Seems like a less secure method then he thought.
He doesn't store the private keys directly on the NFC. They are encrypted with BIP38, so that only he can use them. Yes, thieves could steal them if they got near his hands, but they would be useless to them as they don't know the secret passphrase that encrypted the private keys.
5340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the most creative way of keeping bitcoins in cold storage on: March 12, 2015, 09:06:16 PM
Extremely small font engraved onto tiny plate which is placed under your skin!
Embedded chip under the skin that can hold coins and record transactions? This way you know your precious bitcoins are always with you wherever you go Smiley
Mr. Bitcoin has a NFC chip implanted in his hand that holds his Bitcoin wallet. Hand-implanted NFC chips open this man's bitcoin wallet. He is a fascinating and amazing man. Grin
