That is what I saw also. Actually I found an old screenshot of my Bitcoin balance from 2 years ago and got all excited - did I have a fortune stashed away somewhere? Then I looked at the UID and recognised the same numbers embedded in my new MtGox account and remembered that I registered when Bitcoin was $5 but before I was approved to transfer money into my wallet, it had gone up to $10 so I could only buy half the coins and I sold those 50 Bitcoins when they went up to $11, after I took that screenshot and forgot my wallet for a while. When I came back, instead of 50 I could only buy 10 coins. So I waited a little longer and could barely buy 1 coin. Wished I had left the bitcoins in the wallet....
you bought a bitcoin for $50 though! 99% of people that own one dogecoin or more can't say that! And how many can say that for 3$/ BTC? |

I just stopped trading. It was wearing on me, too much work for what amounted to a small BTC loss (but a great fiat gain). When buy and hold gets better results, you stop "learning". I'm trying to spend that TA time looking more into BTC directly as well. Much more enjoyable. It just takes a lot of time to trade successfully AND I would have done better to buy and just hold, so that I now "due". I still enjoy checking in from time to time though. Glad to hear that at least one of the people out there is cured from trying to understand BTC patterns and put them into trades . |

Just woke up in panic mode, sold all alts on Cryptsy. Waiting for the transfers to Gox and hope I get out above 900. I think things are going south again and I promised myself I wouldn't hesitate the next time bad news came out of China. 7:19 here in Japan so I expect things will get worse in an hour or so when China wakes up.
You are exactly what's wrong with Bitcoin at the moment by the way No , he's perfect. He dumps all his alts , make the alt zealots end in tears and then gets burned with his BTC transactions by the time he makes the trade. I've enjoyed a few laments of QRK and Doges fans earlier , and god! , I feel so good. |

One of the few options of generating income for the Vees Group in order to pay claims is to invest the deposit, there are a lot of crypto-currencies that you can get X2 of your investment in 6 months. In insurance not everyone will file a claim and again I'm creating a rating scale which will determine the premium based on the risk involve.

sure, he refunded also 0.05, 0.25btc, 0.12btc. And remember: You could only invest 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 etc. If this is a scam, it is brillant. But I would refound a few to get more btc and then fire the bomb. But maybe it is no scam. What is he supposed to do with the funded bitcoins? So , he refunded a transaction to an address that had it's last output 6 months ago ? Kind a weird , don't you think? |

Sorry if I've missed this same comment somewhere in the 140+ pages of comments in this thread but here's my position on why I think there is some value in alt-coins.. Despite the fact that it appears value vs BTC has been steadily declining over the past few weeks. a) In case of hard fork on BTC people will need to get into other currencies.. i think all will rise dramatically in that case, but i could be proven wrong. b) In case of BTC block chain being heavily monitored and mapped to people by big brother, or worst case banned alt coins may survive. For now I just mine the most profitable (per cryptsy) day by day and convert most of them immediately to btc but i think there might be a place for them to stay in the future. Regarding shit coins, it's actually profitable to mine them. What you think about them does not make a rats ass of difference If BTC sneezes , the alt freeze to death. If the BTC chain will fork , bitcoin might survive , the others will be fu*rked for eternity. Interesting take, why will the others be fu*rked into oblivion? I would think people might flock to an alternative...?? Also, are you suggesting that now that bitcoin is rebounding from it's recent correction, the alts will make a turn back to the upside? Maybe we have to see a new high in BTC? is not just a currency. Bitcoin is seen by many as the one crypto. Whatever bad might happen to bitcoin , even a 51% attack , I can bet that even POS coins which are immune to this will be affected. In a way , Bitcoin is just a brand of cars like VW , but if it collapse it will make all people lose faith in the auto industry. And the domino effect will bring ruin to most of the alt that have spawn in this madness. As for the BTC price , I never did and I will never do any predictions long term. Just short terms ones when a major news hits the scene. |

I'm not looking for idiots, you should see the positive in what i am trying to achieve, right now is more like a beta, until i know the outcomes of the ongoing IPOs and i'm sure more IPOs are on the way it's just the beginning of 2nd generation coins. My scam indicator is going 99% on your project. I don't see how you can cover insurance against a scam this way. what's your suggestion? How can it work You can't cover obvious scams. It's like an insurance company paying damages every time a car stops at a red light. How do you plan to cover those when you'll have no income? Cause one thing is for certain , there would be no real IPO too soon on the board. And further more , nobody will likely invest in such thing too soon. You're either: A scammer who has smelled some easy money A naive person who thinks can do something good but will end up bringing ruin both to his customers and himself.
