5321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.893 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 07, 2014, 03:14:33 PM
buy antiminer S1 will ROI or not?

Currently, no.  The BTC price and difficulty make it impossible to ROI at the moment.  Time to just buy BTC.
5322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed v KNC Let's compare apples to apples on: April 07, 2014, 03:10:07 PM
If you had $2000, you could have bought 4-5 Antminer S1's and made ROI in a month or two.

This statement I don't understand. The difficulty on Bitcoin is rising even faster and more predictable than Litecoin. With this calculator: https://tradeblock.com/mining/ if you select an Antminer S1, $500 as the price, $0 for shipping and misc, even 0% pool fee, $0.05/kwh electric (VERY conservative), you never see ROI. The first month you make $191, then $123, then $78, until the power costs more than it's returning in BTC.

If you had bought the Antminers in November, December, or January, you definitely would ROI.

I bought in February, so should be on pace for mid May ROI in BTC.  ROI in fiat sooner if the BTC price raises.
5323  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is it worth it? on: April 07, 2014, 01:21:49 PM
Get the Antminers, mine for a month or so, then sell the Ants on Ebay.  Boom, profit!
5324  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 07, 2014, 01:08:47 PM
Surprised to see that Stunna hasn't changed rates for the lower forum ranks to compete with ritz.
Bit dissapointed as well, truth to be said.

Same here, it's why I switched to Ritz.  I'll probably stick with Ritz, as there's no reason to switch back to PD3 for the foreseeable future as long as Ritz continues to payout.
5325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will 1 Bitcoin will Reach 1 million usd one day? on: April 07, 2014, 12:53:25 PM
Nowadays the BTC is about 457 USD, from a wonderful 1000 USD in 2013, the situation that is happening around the world are causing that the price of the BTC is getting lower. Seems pretty hard that one day the BTC reach the 1 million USD.

Now we go down but next direction is up! We can't be at ath all time Wink

Yes, all we got to do is wait for that climb back up.

The only question is when.
5326  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - NEW RATES - RitzGrandCasino.com ★★★ on: April 07, 2014, 12:50:42 PM
any one get pay ?
everyone get paid here for last month Grin

Yup, Ritz proved the naysayes wrong for sure, and upped the rates this month for higher tier forum members.
5327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to get family/friends into bitcoin? on: April 07, 2014, 03:14:06 AM
Talked to one of my good friends I haven't seen in awhile.  First thing he says is "Are you still in Bitcoins?  Didn't some guy get arrested for it?  Is it banned yet?"

Until we get some "real" positive news, adoption, and answers to all the regulatory questions, Bitcoin will remain on the fringe or outside of the general population.

Maybe if a Starbucks started accepting it as a pilot program, or a small country started adopting it as a supplement or substitute for their current currency, or some major advertising or marketing push occurs in the next few years.

Until then, I'll continue to tell my friends and family the positive things Bitcoin can and will do.

Still, it's a tough sledding...
5328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S2 discussion thread on: April 04, 2014, 09:34:25 PM
Looks like lots of people got them:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=515448.620

Alot of people aren't happy though...

Not the same solid build as the Antminer S1.  Lots of complaints of build quality, cards falling off, cables detached, glue, network issues, etc...
5329  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Let There Be Dark! Bitcoin Dark Wallet on: April 04, 2014, 09:22:47 PM
Ehh, I'll stick with Bitcoin Core.

Don't want to send any BTC using a Chrome plug-in.  NO THANKS!
5330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of your wealth is in Bitcoin? on: April 04, 2014, 06:04:36 PM
110%

I live in a card board box

Do you have private keys written on the sides in Ash from your trash can fire?

Whatever you do, don't use your paper wallet backups as toilet paper!   Shocked
5331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will 1 Bitcoin will Reach 1 million usd one day? on: April 04, 2014, 06:00:28 PM
If it does reach 1 million US Dollars it won't be when any of us are alive.

Hopefully our children's children get to see it one day.
5332  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is getting into mining now a bad time? on: April 04, 2014, 05:45:43 PM
Just say no!

Once you start mining you can't stop.   Undecided

You keep telling yourself ROI is right around the corner, then difficulty goes up, and you invest in another miner.  You finally get some regular BTC coming in, then it slows down again in a couple weeks.  NEED MORE HASHPOWER!

It's a disease.  If you're just in it to hobby and speculate, go ahead (that's what I told myself too).

But be very careful...once you see that Bitcoin Core wallet popup saying you have an incoming payment, it's over...

Google also knows that you like pornhub way too much, that you like searching penis growth tablets, and is it legal to marry my sister in this state.

Don't put too much faith in Google, you cross them you'll get Googled!

I don't care what they know about me. If I did I wouldn't use their services.

You say that now, but when they release their robot army like it's Judgement Day....

Look out!   Grin
5334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gcoin (aka Googlecoin) who wins? on: April 04, 2014, 05:32:54 PM
I would never , ever invest in or use google coins.  Google is an obnoxious corporation with entirely too much power that thinks it can do whatever it wants and most of the time it can... It's already taking over the world.

Google has a superb email, is revolutionizing residential internet connections and infrastructure in the U.S., are making revolutionary progress in autonomous cars, invest heavily in renewable energy, support many many non-profits, help combat human trafficking and child abuse, protect threatened and endangered species, fund education programs around the world in impoverished areas, donate 100 million USD a year in grants, donate 60,000 volunteer hours a year, charitably give 1bn USD in products & services a year, just gave groups in Africa a MILLION solar powered lights, funding projects that turn human waste into both fuel and fertilizer...

Yes, Google is such a wicked wicked company.

This is significant factor in crypto-business and it's interesting to know more about it. Thank you for your vote!

I am not a rig owner but I was wondering how to get free electricity - till now I didn't solved it Smiley

Cheers!

You didn't find out yet where your neighbor's power outlet is located?  Grin

So that's what that long orange cable attached to my outside outlet is!

Wonder what happens if I unplug it... Roll Eyes

In general, if it was true (not a 1.april hoax). I think with googles resourches the desentrilized cryptocurrencies would be outcompeted. There is many resons for this, here are some few:

1. With the echonomic and human resourches they has they can develope whatever they want, and outcompete others easily with use of time.
2. The mainstream people and market will adopt it more easily, just because it is branded and has a trust foundation even if it would be desentilized. Look at gmail from they started developing it and what it is today.
3. if they put focus on something they actually finish it to goal. regards to the cryptocurrencies today there is many developers that not work togheter, but has the focus on smaller scale. its like having many ends in the rope, and all are pulling in different directions.

Maybe we get a facecoin, twittercoin, even mcdonaldcoin? he he Smiley

It's bad enough Google and Facebook already has my personal profile on file, now if they have a currency, they'll know what I'll buy before I buy it.   Lips sealed
5338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eBay Officially Adds New ‘Virtual Currency’ Category to US Site on: April 04, 2014, 03:18:14 PM
Until they allow payment for goods and services by Bitcoin, I don't think this will move the needle that much.

As long as PayPal is tied to the hip of Ebay, it won't happen soon.

Man, just a couple of months ago we were terrified by the fact that eBay and Paypal were declaring total war to Bitcoin, now they even have an ad hoc place to sell it. If that's not a huge step forward, I don't know what is.

This is not news.  They added this category to the UK site a few months ago.  This is just addition to the US site now.
5339  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should I buy 3 black arrow prospero x-1's on: April 04, 2014, 02:34:43 PM
Should I buy three black arrow prospero x-1's?

Buy 2 Antminer S1's instead if you can.  Best bang for your buck in the business.

Black Arrow is vaporware until proven otherwise.
