5321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: November 19, 2019, 04:36:32 PM
@Pmalek and cryptofrka yeah I think it's so silly to judge Pele and Maradona or whomever with any player from this or future generations.

Who knows how Pele would have played against van Dijk, or if he even could? Who knows how Messi might have fared against those tough-tackling defenders from 20/30 years ago? We didn't have the dark arts of Ramos then, but we had the literal bone breaking hard men. The Terminator, or the ball-busting (literally!) Vinnie Jones?
I am comparing them based on the clips we have from Pele and others from those times and the way the game looked and was played back then. The quality back then and the one we see in modern times is incomparable, at least to me.
But you are also right and it makes no sense thinking what if and what would have been.

There is a saying in my country.
If grandma had a di*k she would be granddad. Grin We will never know...

I agree that football from 40-50 years ago and today is very different, and it's very difficult to compare it.
The same goes for players then and now.
If we asked people then and now, everyone would have different favorites for the best players.
There was a lot less money in football before and more play for prestige.
Now is everything about money and statistics and Internet is everything.
Everyone has fitness coaches, nutritionists and everything has become an industry.
Before players was alone and simple played football   Cheesy Cheesy
I'm sorry that this era of football romance will never come back and that clubs like Crvena Zvezda, Steaua, Nottingham Forest will never again become European champions.
Money is everything today.
Fortunately, when national teams playing, it's still possible for a small country as a Croatian to play the World Cup finals and that is why I like to watch the national team.
In the national team, the heart is still more important than money and that's why I believe that Croatia still has a great chance in EURO next year, no matter again very strong Italy, England, France and the Netherlands who also returned.
5322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: November 19, 2019, 04:19:47 PM
This looks super weird to me, nor legit at all Cheesy better just use one of the popular and reliable exchanges so you can be sure that your money and your personal data are safe. I use CoinDeal and I can honestly recommend it. Just don't trust every exchange, many of them are a scam.

Regarding security, I think better that user Dzoni answer you since he is CEO of the crypto exchange company.
As for the rest, no one is forcing anyone to use this crypto exchange  Cheesy Cheesy
So, if some people are not comfortable to use crypto exchange in the post office, they just won't use it and will find another way to replace their crypto to fiat.
It's simple like that and it's called the free market.
But, this crypto exchange will help a lot in mass adoption of crypto in Croatia and many new people will become comfortable with crypto simple because it's possible to exchange it in the state owned Croatian post.
Such things helps us a lot.
5323  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcoin not supposed to be about FREEDOM ??? on: November 19, 2019, 04:10:20 PM
It seems that you confuse here several things, bitcoin, Internet and bitcoin forum.
This forum is dedicated to the bitcoin, bitcoin technology, mining etc, but this forum is not the same as bitcoin itself.
Everyone is free to use bitcoin and it has nothing to do with this forum.
As for the Internet, there is nothing called absolute freedom, and no one is free to abuse the Internet to insult, cheat, abuse others etc.
As for internet forums, there are rules, hierarchies on each one, and there must be order otherwise we have chaos and spam.
If you think something is wrong you are free to write publicly and ask for changes, or you can stop using this forum.
You don't have to be in this forum to use bitcoin.

5325  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Macron the new European leader? on: November 19, 2019, 07:29:40 AM
Macron isn't strong and isn't good. He's a supporter of globalization and one big strong Europe with 1 leadership and one army. I don't think this is such a good idea.
Agree with that. The whole idea of a European army is ridiculous. Europe spends a lot of the time arguing with itself. The army would never work.

Well,  I think it's issue about future of EU and idea about united Europe.
It's obvious that if some country wants to be strong in global community and global relationship,  it's impossible without strong army as we can see from examples with China and Russia.
EU wants to be global leader like America and China but can't because they are not united and have many different opinions about global politics and relationships.
Macron understand it and trying to build united and stronger EU but real question is what other EU countries  think about it and if they support it.
Because EU don't have one policy but 27 or 28,  they are like paper tiger in the global community and can't really influence others like America or China.

5326  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [MERIT GIVEAWAY] Open to Newbies and jr members on: November 19, 2019, 07:17:31 AM

Ok since no new application for merit I decided to reward one more post from you with merit,  about overpopulation.
Very interesting and detailed.
Honestly,  when I started this topic I expected much more applications from newbie and jr members since they always complain it's difficult to get merits and progress in this forum.
But,  because there are no applications I consider to lock this topic and use my merits to support more my local community.
5327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: November 18, 2019, 01:57:18 PM
So apart from being a post office they also offer crypto exchange. Its somehow confusing. How can a post office offer two different services? Well, maybe its part of their income generating strategy. However, if that is so then good for them their government had allowed it. It indicates that they already legalized bitcoin in there own way of exchange services.

I think that user Dzoni,  who is also CEO of the crypto exchange company, explained everything very clear in his posts here.
There is no confusion here,  it's simple business.
Croatian Post offered crypto exchange simple because there are people interesting in such service since Zadar is very famous tourist area.
They made deal with one private company and they are sharing profit.
It's simple like that.
Of course it's legal to use crypto in Croatia and Tax office already issued public statement about crypto and instructions how to pay taxes on crypto earnings.

CR99.
Portugal is at the final stage this was against the odds 2 games ago.
I happy so he can try to win the balon d'or and also try to pass the record of most goal scored on the national team, he is at -9.
LEGEND
I am lucky to watch his matches during my generation, i have not seen some of the old legends live but i was able to see Messi and CR7 in action and the memories they gave are many and he just need 10 more goals to level the all time international goal scorer in football history and it is not a small feet and i doubt we will see players like these in the future, just pure goal scoring machines.

It's just incredible how much Portugal needs Ronaldo, and sometimes I just put it away from the Messi because of the national team. New kids will come who are of the same or better talent, but will they have the psyche and mentality like these two heroes of our time, or will they just be a good couple of years old and not be remembered, that's why the two of them are the best.

Yes,  Messi and Ronaldo are the best players at the moment but not in the history.
We had in the past probably better players like Pele,  Maradona,  Di Stefano,  Eusebio etc but that time was before Internet age and even TV like media just started.
Now is much more money involved here,  we have much more news and info so it's easy to think that Messi and Ronaldo are gods or something like this but in every age we had great players, just they didn't have chance to become popular like Ronaldo and Messi today.
Today everything is about money and I don't like it.

I would like to hear from user Dzoni, Nikola Skoric, CEO of Electrocoin d.o.o. company behind this pilot project with Croatian post, about future plans with Post regarding this crypto project.
Any update Dzoni?
Hey Daniel91, thank you for your question! Of course there are plans, we are working hard to expand the service, just as it was announced when the pilot project started. Unfortunately, I cannot say much more than this as the project is still in active development. We will have updates on this in the next few weeks, that I can tell you, and the news will be great! :-)

Dear Dzoni thank you for very good news.
I contacted Post office a few months ago with the same question but received general answer that they will make decision about future of this project based on the results from pilot project in Zadar.
From your answer it seems they decided to continue with this project and to bring it to other post offices in Croatia.
It will be great news for all of us in Croatia and whole btc community.
5331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 07:16:40 AM
When I did research about it recently I find official statements about crypto from Tax office, Central bank and Regulator body for finance.
All of them warned that crypto is high risk because of luck of regulation and legal protection.
Tax office even prepared detailed explanation about crypto and how to report earnings from crypto and pay taxes.
So,  in my country authorities know crypto very well and they are ready to deal with it.
I even remember the case when  police discovered some drug dealers who bought drugs in the dark web with btc.

5333  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have You Paid Tax On Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 01:02:40 PM
I have not directly paid taxes on crypto earnings or bitcoin so far.
I actually paid taxes indirectly as I transferred btc funds to Paypal and from Paypal to my bank accunt.
I didn't report it as crypto earnings but as second income from abroad, Internet earnings because it was so much simpler and easier at that moment a few years ago.
Next time I withdraw my btc funds I will wait 2 years and prepare my FIFO records because in the official opinion of the tax office in my country, it's then viewed as a long-term investment and tax-exempt.

5334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: November 17, 2019, 12:52:16 PM
If in your opinion being requested an ID by the state-owned institutions/companies is a normal step, for me it is not. Doesn't it basically stand against the purpose of Bitcoin?

Let's not fool ourselves, Croatia is a member of the European Union, and must obey the laws which apply to that same union. Just imagine that you can step into state-owned institutions and convert cryptocurrency to fiat without any ID, it could be said that the state allows legal money laundering in this case.

It is wrong to mix the purpose of Bitcoin with fiat laws and regulations, when you convert crypto to fiat you are moving into a completely different category. It is beyond all logic to believe that any country will allow anyone to buy or sell crypto without verifying its origin, which is still possible today.

If you want anonymity and privacy, don't convert crypto to fiat, or at least find a way to do it without giving your ID/KYC.

Personally, in my opinion this offer is very good step for mass adoption of crypto in Croatia.
Before I talked about crypto to many of my friends but they wasn't impress about it and they thought it was another scam on the Internet.
Now, when I told them that as pilot project Croatian post offered crypto exchange they changed their attitude and became interested in hearing more about bitcoin and crypto Smiley
Of course, those who care about anonymity will not sell bitcoin in the post but for others it will be proof that btc and crypto are legal.
I would like to hear from user Dzoni, Nikola Skoric, CEO of Electrocoin d.o.o. company behind this pilot project with Croatian post, about future plans with Post regarding this crypto project.
Any update Dzoni?

Yup
It’s good that the weather has calm down and is not even close the forecast
Croatia will be even more dangerous in the second half, now I’m making a live bet on Cro

Btw, for the parlay I was writig about previously, I need a goal from Belarus and Macedonia Smiley

Kudos @big_daddy on that live bet,  you played that beautifully!

I must admit that i was worried after first 45 minutes, it didn't look good, i had a bad feeling and Slovakia is dangerous team, but now with 3-1 it looks much better.

Congratulation @big_daddy, good bet Smiley
In fact, the biggest opponent to Croatia last night was not Slovakia, but Croatian players themselves!
From the beginning they were much better but due to lack of concentration they didn't score a goal and then they received it and became nervous.
Regardless of the poor result after the first 45 minutes, it was obvious that Croatia would score sooner or later and it was only a matter of the moment as there was a clear difference in quality between the two teams.
As soon as Vlasic scored, it was clear that Slovakia no longer had a chance to draw a good result.

5337  Other / Meta / Re: [LOG] The ranked up members - Congratulations! on: November 17, 2019, 12:13:15 PM
Thank you, even though it will take me quite some time to reach activity needed for Sr Member as I am not Full Member yet. I never thought that I'll reach merit requirement so fast, but well, I won't complain if I reach Hero merit requirement before Hero activity req as well . Cheesy

And congrats to everyone else that ranked up!

Rikafip, I've been following your contribution to this forum for a long time, both locally and in the main forum, and I'm really impressed with what I see.
As merit source I was happy to reward some of your very good quality posts and I will continue to do so.
I know that it is a very long and difficult road for young members to reach high ranks in this forum and sometimes it seems unfair but you really showed great example and I have no doubt you will soon reach not only hero but legendary status.
Just keep going as before and everything will be fine Smiley

5338  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to reduce signature campaign spam posts on: November 17, 2019, 12:05:18 PM
Talking about the signature campaigns, I think it really up to the dev and the manager who is managing it. They are spending money to get exposure for their business or product whatever it is and they should have the full right to chose what they want keeping the forum interest in mind.

We really can not force them to do certain things that may lose their interest to advertise in here too. It always has to have a balance and I think we are not doing bad in it so far.
Why can't they be forced to do that? There are countless forum rules. Another rule could be that signature campaigns may not require a minimum number of posts.
I only remember the Yobit campaign some time ago where they intervened, because the conditions of the campaign led to massive spamming.
I don't agree with you. I think minimum number of posts requirement is needed.
Assume that there is no minimum posts requirement. What if there are many users who make only 1-2 posts per week while the campaign needs more active participants?
Be sure managers will likely remove such participants as they have the right remove anyone. So it's better to more clear rule.
I think the better solution is to have a limitation on maximum number posts. (the maximum number of posts that are payed cannot be more than X.)

Well, in theory it's good solution but practically we are very different.
Some users usually only write in a few topics and can't write many quality posts but others have more free time and knowledge so they can write much more quality and informative posts in the forum.
Sometimes we have very interesting discussions that last for days and in which the same users can have many posts.
Not all users are the same, nor are their posts.
In signature campaigns, the biggest responsibility lies with the managers and their selection criteria for campaign participants.
Someone can spam even with 10 posts and someone else can write up to 100 quality posts without any spam, in my opinion.
Limitation on maximum number posts will not help much, I'm afraid.
The best way to stop spam still remains post reporting function.

5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: November 17, 2019, 11:43:24 AM
Great win for Croatia! 3:1 is final score.
Red card for Slovakia crushed them in second half and it was great game for live betting.

Well before the sending off the score already was 2 - 1 for Croatia so they were already losing the match. I did not watch the first half but watched the 2nd half around for 30 minutes and they deserved the goals and the win possibly.
Good football from Croatia.

I watched the game and it was well deserved win for sure.

I am really impressed with our young talent Nikola Vlasic. Every time I see him play he scores very important goal. Funny thing all that goals look sort of same. It is always an effort from about 20 meters out in the bottom corner, not the hardest shot you'll see but very accurate.

I am hoping those Everton guys are now pulling their hair out when they see the level of his performances in national team and for his club CSKA Moscow. If I remember correctly he was very good in Everton as well but they changed coach shortly after he was signed and after that he didn't get any more minutes to prove his value. Seeing how Everton looks this season maybe this worked out even better for him  Grin

After the World Cup in Russia and the retirement of several important players such as Mandjukic, Subasic, Corluka, there were concerns over whether new, young players could replace such magnificent players.
But now, when we see how Livakovic, Vlasic, Brekalo, Petkovic and others play, we already forgot ''old'' and deserved players from before Smiley
I feel we again have very good national team, ready for big things at EURO next year, maybe again Final like in the World cup, who knows? Smiley
The only thing I blame the coach for is insisting on Rebic when it is clear that he does not have continuity in his club and doesN't play well ALREADY VERY LONG TIME.
Brekalo is must better choice and every time he enters the game he makes a difference.

5340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: November 16, 2019, 03:02:14 PM
Dani Olmo scored on his Spain debut yesterday. Keep an eye on that one, he plays for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatian league.
Dinamo produced some true football superstars and Olmo is probably next, the fact that he received the call to the national team while playing in such a weak league is a sign of his quality.

Yes he is, and this is the right way to make selections for the national team
Not a common practice in our country, unfortunately... we have seen generations of players who never got their chance to play for the national team, guided by the corrupted football federation (CFF) - cause “C” is not for Croatia, but for Corruption

Olmo has been invited to play for Spain because of his brilliant matches for Spain's young national team and excellent Champions League matches, and not because of matches in the Croatian Football League.
He is the next big star to come from the Croatian league and it is a pity that he chose to play for Spain and not for Croatia.
Barcelona already long time have a problem with their young players who don't develop properly and don't get a chance to play for the first team.
Olmo made very good decision to move to Dinamo a few years ago because he developed his talent and career unlike the young players who remained in Barcelona.
Do you know any young player in Barcelona who came from their young team recently?
