So buddy you sold me some 22.3k dip.

I would like more dip please.

maybe a  21.5k serving.

Similar to previous fractal from last week, here is my short-term worst case scenario with mid-term best case scenario: $20K by end of month but $30K by June:

Those charts a big part of your life?

Probably not as much as you'd think. My trading account is still <1% since FTX crash, compared to the 10-15% when in bull market mode. So you could say I 99% don't care that much right now.

Fyi I'm more of a shitcoin trader for more satoshis than a bitcoin trader for more satoshis or fiat, but sometimes small opportunities present themselves. Also those shitcoin opportunities only realistically come around once every 4 years, much like getting cheap Bitcoin to be honest. I guess you'd know all about shitcoin opportunities with Litecoin and Dogecoin hehe.

Do you really think they help you calculate what will happen next?

Maybe, maybe not. They have in the past, doesn't mean they will in the future though. It's about 50/50, a coin flip you could say, but when they are right the targets are usually pretty accurate. The targets and risk to reward are the only points that really matters to me. I don't trade 2:1 risk reward ratios for break-even trading, only 3:1 min or more like 4:1. So being right 50% of the time is more than enough.

Or are they a way to cope because "the future is not ours to see Que Sera Sera"

You could call it that, sure. Short-term bearish to $20K doesn't inevitably mean long-term bearish to $10K basically. Instead turning 200 DMA and $20K into support would be very bullish imo. A lot of people are under the impression that rejection from $25K means new lows sub $15K. Or that returning to $20K would be bearish, whereas it really wouldn't be if it becomes a higher low.

Bottom line is I'm not of those longer-term bearish opinions, that's more of less the TA here. That and 2019 fractal that we followed for a few months is breaking down piece by piece. Ideally my TA helps to avert some panic selling if bears get the upper hand in coming days/weeks, that's probably my main priority if I'm honest, as I see another bear trap around $20K to be quite likely right now.

yeah I see a dump to just under 20k.

I don’t bother with charts to see that.

I used to gamble on horse racing.

I could read very deeply into charts, but even with that ability I lost because the human factor ie jockey loses on purpose.

I feel charts for stocks are basically no different.

Honestly all the Groundbreaking stuff and Inventions and all the good stuff made and used is Created in Europe or USA or Canada. So if UAE decides to do something with coins and blockchain it literally means nothing.

Good stuff and inventions are made all around the world and then are stolen by the US and their closest satellites. Now this is changing. Fast. Russia is putting an end to the neocolonial world order.

What would be really nice if this was actually true.

Until you see past the game laid out for us to be played you will merely be a cog in the machine.

Similar to previous fractal from last week, here is my short-term worst case scenario with mid-term best case scenario: $20K by end of month but $30K by June:

Price is breaking below the 50 Day MA, to me it doesn't look like there will be the imminent breakout above $25K this month anymore, unless price is to close back above $23K in coming days (reclaim 50 DMA). With this breakdown, short-term bulls take profits and turn bearish imo. 200 DMA at $19.7K (trending slightly downwards) would be the next target after a failure to turn the 50 DMA into support post golden cross.

An initial bounce from $21.5K area, previous resistance turned support seems likely on the way down, as shown in fractal and below, but imo will be unlikely to reverse price back to $24K levels, maybe $23K at best instead (accumulation turned distribution zone). Unless there is a dramatic change by end of day, closing back above 50 DMA, then I'll be leaning bearish short-term, still bullish mid-term.

The last thread of hope for the bulls remains this bullish channel with higher highs and higher lows, as well as initial cloud support after bullish crossover. So while I do think price can find short-term support from here, I also think $23K (volume point of control) will act as strong resistance with the 50 Day MA now flattening out at this level to act as confluence of resistance level.

As a reminder, this week price was rejected by the 50 Week MA for the third consecutive week at $24K.

this one.. APC rack mount 1500VA sinewave

https://www.amazon.com/APC-Smart-UPS-Battery-Rack-Mount-SMC1500-2U/dp/B007ZT2KV6

and man it weighs like a ton.

had it 4 years now no issues. prolly due for new batteries but it passes all self tests.

Just beware. I have an APC of a similar size. Probably not quite as nice but last time I replaced the batteries, it still said it had plenty left but couldn't sustain my server when I pulled the plug.

I have just replace 3 x APC UPS 1500 (Tower) today.. Same issue!.. Little power trip and the entire server shuts down and the UPS reboots... If you are brave, pull the mains power!

Either the UPS will kick over to run on battery OR turn off completely.

If it is stays on, you may notice it drains the battery very quickly.... from 100% to 20% in less than 30secs...

Another thing I noticed was, once you connect the AC the UPS will reboot/re-initialize, causing your equipment to either power cycle or stay off.

The toughest part of the day was lugging 6 x 22AH SLA batteries up the stairs to the comms rack/room. Despite the challenges, these are great UPS units, and it's worth noting that these 3 were still going strong after nine years with their original batteries!

that is the best way to test the unit... self tests are meh.

thanks I will read it and see how much its riffs on the feb 28 story.

okay story matches but it slightly worse since an agency is checking on them directly.

It will be not much my guess is they will not uncover much.

Murdock found guilty of both murders. As watched by me on NBC news a few minutes ago.

…..

You mean Murdaugh

Murdoch (also in news) is the asshole Fox News CEO who under oath admitted Fox News lied about all the election fraud nonsense. Gee, you don’t say…..

http://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/27/business/media/fox-news-dominion-rupert-murdoch.html

Thanks for the correction

so Murdaugh and Murdoch but not Murdock. Got it.

Thats one more for me buddy.

5338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox will release bitcoin in march - what's next? on: March 03, 2023, 02:54:10 AM
If these repayments are made between March and September as the article suggests, then we could see price stay between $20K and $25K for another 6 months it seems. Not convinced all creditors will want to sell when price is down -65%, but no doubt most will sell a reasonable amount. Overall the selling pressure could create some healthy stability for over a years worth of sideways, as opposed to bouncing back to $40K or $50K. I imagine bears are licking their lips thinking that this will be what drives Bitcoin to make a new low nearer $10K, but personally I think that ship has already sailed.

its not down 65% for those people

it is up well over 10x

the highest price in 2014 was 800

the lowest price in 2014 was 300

so depending on your buy in

the ath in 2013 was 1300

we are at at 22k

so

 300
 800
1300

all way less than 22k

if I had mt gox coins coming as coins I sell half and take the huge gains

I would hold the other half.

@jjg why so short a post.

 where is your wall.

I gotta pace myself... a self-directed mandate

To jjg this is why I am prepared downwards action
along with sideways
and of course for up

I am not easily convinced.. especially given some of your various nonsenses over the past showing some of your own distractions and even providing frameworks that you present as if they were generally applicable and they show general seemingly ongoing problems in your own approach and thinking in regards to various bitcoin-related matters.. .. and it is likely a waste of time to even try to convince this here gobblin.

Huh. Almost felt something there for a moment.

Oh well. Back to this shit human existence...

Well I am hoping for further dipping with luck we can fall to 21.5k
I would get more dip near that point.

Exhibit A... case in point....

hoping for downity.. .. and even more downity, at that.. . shows problems in your discussion of the matter and where you likely should be in life as a 67-ish year old who has been in bitcoin for around 11 years.. but hey, who am I to say?

Well for my circumstances I am spread 3 ways

uppity
sideways
downwards

Your thoughts are that I am not prepped enough for up

so I pick down over up.

those thoughts  are not the reasons I prefer down or sideways over up at this moment in time.

At this moment I have yet to fill out the mine at what I consider dip or bargain prices for gear.

So I am not perfectly positioned for up.

But my method of buying gear is slow not huge very much a monthly piece very much like dca.

We could use 4-6 new units we got get them all now or go slower .

My risk assessment is go slower do not pluge in and get those pieces today.

Once I get them I don't care about downward dips or sideways.

I could buy all 6 s19 pros today for 9000 but it is stupid and risky. Or I can get one every month and be done by sept.

Most of this is not strict coin purchase or invest meant  it is roundabout method of getting coin.

Als0 being involved with btc 2012 to 2017 was as a non-believer gear head.

being involved  with btc 2018 to 2023 was as a believer.

out our mine with the four of us has done really well in the last 5 years.
