5321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Storing coins not accepted on Trezor? on: February 29, 2020, 11:28:39 PM
Seems that these cold storage wallets don't offer services for smaller cap coins such as DAG or TOMO. Where is the best place to store these coins?

As a newbie, i do not think you need to worry about trezor.

You need to understand the basis first, and that is understanding how the crypto currency wallets work. From the paper wallet of myetherwallet, or the wallet applications such as imtoken or trust wallet etc.

After understanding operations of the basic wallets, then you can get a cold storage in trezor.
On the contrary, I think it is better to start with a good security like a hardware wallet.

How many times have we heard newbie being hacked because they store their coins in a online wallet and get phished resulting in lost of their precious coins and blaming the system? So there's nothing wrong with investing in a secure wallet such as Trezor in the beginning.

Unfortunately though, DAG and TOMO is not supported, so it might be better to go for the official wallet support. @Findingnemo provided the link already, now all the OP has to do is to check them out and understand how to transfer his coins and then secure it.

^^ The closest in Medvedev at #4. He just need to be consistent but recently he suffered some unusual defeat so that's a big question mark again. Even his coach is not impressed specially last tournament.

Quote
Daniil Medvedev's coach wasn't impressed with the Russian's attitude against Jannik Sinner at the Open 13. Though the Russian beat the next gen star, he lost the first set before making a comeback. When I see Daniil with that kind of attitude, that energy during the first set, crying over all the lost points, it annoys me,” Cervara told L'Equipe.

https://www.tennisworldusa.org/tennis/news/Tennis_Interviews/84418/gilles-cervara-unimpressed-with-daniil-medvedevs-on-court-behaviour/

So it will take some time before we can see someone becoming #3 even if Roger Federer is sideline by injuries.
5324  Economy / Economics / Re: Wells Fargo Fined $3 Billion for 15 Years of Illegal Practices Affecting Million on: February 27, 2020, 12:17:58 PM
That is the scary part, misusing one's identify for the company's personal gain. And they didn't go anything about it, and as the article says, they admitted this shady practice of them. Kudos to the US DOJ for filing a case and exposing this fraudulent act, not even as big as Wells-Fargo can get away with it.

And as far as putting our money on crypto, of course there is still at risk, but if we know and educate our self, we could prevent someone from stealing it.

5325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 27, 2020, 08:01:59 AM
Today I'm thinking of selling my BTC even though it would be a big loss right now I've been with BTC a while and used to the volitility but this time I believe it's different

Can you explain in detail why you think that BTC is different?

I was a believer in BTC and the future of crypto I believed having 1 or more BTC was a smart thing to do that many would look back in 10 to 20 years wishing they'd bought some when it was still obtainable by the regular Joe.

I think many of us here feel still feel the same, we still believe that owning at least 1 BTC in our lifetime will be game changer in the next 10 years.

Now I feel that BTC will trend down hitting sub 1 dollars prices possibly even 0 over the next 12 to 18 months. the current coronavirus outbreak has been BTCs first real test and it failed hard and failed immediately. It's not a store of wealth and its failure to hold value in a economic down turn is spectacular and visible to all.  Today I think BTC is a failed experiment. What are your thoughts?

What do you mean failed? I'm sure you have been here when there are attempts from ETH, remember "Flippening", or even XRP "Rippening"? that was one of a real test for us, the price that time really goes down, many thought that ETH will overtake BTC but look what happens. Maybe your mindset is wrong, BTC is not an experiment per se, and if this an experiment, its a 10 year long experiment that has benefit many people globally.
5326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 23, 2020, 02:18:16 PM
Wilder tried to survive but he just doesn't have anything left. Fury was clearly the more technical and smarter fighter and he showed that in both fights.
After the first knock down he was never the same fighter and Tyson Fury completely dominated the fight and fulfilled what he was preaching before the fight that we would knock out Wilder which i was having my doubts as he was never a knock out fighter but he came up with a different fighting approach than his first fight and Wilder did not have an answer to it. Wilder have a rematch clause and whether he will take that is to be seen and now we might see the Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight which will be another huge fight.
I also have the same doubts that the can knock out the Wilder.

But as soon as Wilder hits the canvass, the complexion of the fight changes, Tyson Fury more confident but cautious with Wilder's right. But Deontay was disoriented and it seems he surrendered already as Fury completely dominated the fight.

For me no need for a trilogy, Fury might go heavy again and the same results, Wilder getting knock out maybe under 7 rounds.
5327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outdated, Loves Ethereum on: February 23, 2020, 01:56:25 PM
I thought that we're done with John McAfee?

John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin!.

Let the issue rest, he already exposed himself by just riding the popularity of bitcoin during 2017. Now he is hyping Ethereum. He is a crypto influencer, so everything he said should be taken with a grain of salt.
5328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 20, 2020, 11:29:24 PM
Everything in life has pros and cons including gambling.

So it's really up to the individual, yes you might be tempted to enter the gambling world and forget all your priorities in life, but if you have the self control not to be greedy then you can't be a gambler. I have some friends who I introduced gambling, some of them didn't really like it because they have other things to do, they just play to have some fun. So it's a case-to-case basis.
5329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 17, 2020, 11:57:58 PM
Former world #1 and multiple Grand Slam winner Kim Clijsters is just giving her comeback at WTA tournament in Dubai. It's her first pro match since  losing to Laura Robson in the US Open in 2012 (!). She is a mother of three by now, but after watching the first few games I have to admit that she looks to still have it Shocked She is not in top shape, but she is just so talented and still has good zip. Will be intresting to see, if it's just some comeback for a few months or maybe 2-3 seasons - she is 36 now.

Wow, I still remember those days, with the women version of the big 3 or big 5. Her, Henin, Williams sisters, Hingis. So it's good to see her back, but I think she still needs more time though. Of course those elite players still have it, they just need to find the groove again.

Maybe we need to understand why she is on a comeback, any speculations as to why?

This is what she says:

Quote
“While there is a lot of work ahead of me in the next four months, my biggest motivation is the personal challenge involved – both physically and mentally, I want to test myself again.”

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/sep/12/kim-clijsters-comes-out-of-tennis-retirement-for-a-second-time

So she is very competitive and wanted to prove that she can do it at her age. This is not her first time to make a comeback, she did in 2012 and won so she have wait it takes and begin another quest for tennis glory.
5330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: February 15, 2020, 11:45:09 PM
ETH is already bullish, it was broken several barriers already, $200, $230 and $260.

And with that, I have no doubt that it could get past $440 sooner than we think. The altcoin market is already having a good bounce since the start of this year, and if this continue, almost all of the top ten altcoin will be back and could probably recovered at least 50% for their last all time high, including ETH.

@isaac_clarke22 - BTC did passed $10k already twice in the last week or so, maybe what you are saying is that its unsustainable at this point.
5331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 15, 2020, 10:23:31 PM

I am rooting for Howard, dude was the superman back in the day and he was one of the most entertaining dunk contest participants ever, I know there were better dunkers, thats given and I still think best one was probably MJ dunking from the free throw line (which probably can happen now but that was another whole level back in those days) but at the same time Vince was great in 2000 as well, even with all of that the most "entertaining" was Howard because dude knew how to really get everyone hyped like no other, dude literally went into a phone booth and changed to superman and came out, he was literally like that. I bet he won't have the best dunk tonight, sure he may not win as well, however I bet %100 he will be the most entertaining participant for sure.

Howard was pure entertainment during his prime at the dunk contest. He really did get the crowd involved with his phone booth change-to-superman.

But I don't think that judges will be sentimental, there are a lot of good pure dunkers in the contest. Maybe he will do some antics and again entertain the crowd, but I don't think that he will win again.
5332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Anypay’s CEO Says Bitcoin is Worthless For Payment; Disables BTC Payment on: February 12, 2020, 11:49:46 PM
Listen to this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcMZarXA4fc

I just LOL'ed at this fool, how can he tell that BTC is worthless as payment just because they have been double-spend?

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/f1mbzy/main_pos_in_thailand_disables_btc_payments_as/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

We all know that is it not BTC's fault, I also have some inclination about this CEO, it looks like he is a shill of Roger Ver's Bitcoin Cash.

5333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 12, 2020, 11:24:40 PM

Same sentiments and which i do fully agree. Why would say that they arent performing the same neither have or doesnt have Kawhi into their team?
You can really see their perseverance on each play and as said they are top 2 in the East and still saying that they arent minding much or do perform well
on regular season? Its somewhat contradictory i shall say.

Raptors cared more about the regular season this season compared to last year IMO because they are in a mission to prove that they are still a great team even without their best player, last year, they are struggling when Leaonard is under "load management" so they are more reliant on Leonard that time but this time, they are better as a team as everyone are scoring.

Exactly, and fore sure everyone noticed that this year, they are playing as if nothing had happened to the team. Of course, Kawhi has departed, but they are still performing very strong with Siakam (new contract worth hundreds of millions) and Fred VanVleet also playing very well.

Even the NBA media is so quiet about it, we won't heard anything from the Kawhi departure, so it means that no one from the Raptors players and management are affected, if they are, they look at the bright side (winning a championship with Kawhi).
5334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: February 12, 2020, 10:56:19 PM
Casimero: Inoue Is 'The Monster', But I Am The Real Monster

..[ snip ]..

LMAO at that Inoue cut out picture of Inoue. Casimero should have won round one already.  Smiley

On a serious note, this is really big fight for Casimero, yes he has fought a lot of champions in the past and win in fashion, But Inoue is different, well rounded and hasn't been tested, although Donaire broke his orbital bone but he still continue to fight and won. So this will be very different from Casimero fights and I do hope that he will not disappoint his fans here.
5335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: February 11, 2020, 02:30:02 AM
Personally, I would say NO.

Crypto gambling is still gambling per se, you can drink and smoke at the comfort of your room or within the vicinity of your house. Even if you travel, you can use your mobile phone to play and have some drinks.

Regarding your second question, I already into smoking and drinking when I discovered crypto gambling, so my answer will be the same, No.

Or least give Dom a shot at Jones again, unless Jones avoid it by going up to heavyweight.
Hahaha I think that would be a worse decision for him. Even if it would be his last resort in order to avoid facing Reyes, then he should not go up to HW division (if he is wise enough). Why? Because that's a whole different thing. That's the place of "one shot, one kill" and I doubt he can survive it; even thinking his "eye poking technique" will not work out as well Grin.

Much better if he will just face Reyes once again and prove to us that he really deserve the belt he is wearing for a long time.

Right, but he is talking about moving up in weight in his previous interviews.

Anyways, I will get Jones the prop if he jumps on the gun and request an immediately rematch, unlike what he has done with Gus.

@mich  - that's what I'm f**ing screaming about, those judges are not watching the fight.
5338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 10, 2020, 03:23:31 AM
But I'm sure with this, they will come back strong with coach Pop next season. To be fair, they've lost a lot of close game.

Wait, wait, wait.... why are you guys talking about next season yet, don't you believe the spurs still has a chance to be in the playoffs this season?

come on, it's too early to make a conclusion like that.. Tongue (coming from a spurs big fan)

Big fan of Pops too.
Yeah, why not? It ain't over.
Grizzlies with just 26 wins and Spurs on the 10th spot with 22.
It is still reachable.  Grin
I hope they can beat the next 5 games against:
Nuggets
Thunder
Jazz
Thunder again
Mavericks.

Ergh! They will need to play harder.

That's a big task ahead of him, of course, who wouldn't be a fans of Pops? Even the late Kobe Bryant acknowledged that if San Antonio was not in the West during their ran with Shaq, they could have won more championships.

That's the respect that coach Pop commands from other teams and players. However, their chances this season is very slim in sweeping their next 5 games.
5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 10, 2020, 12:16:43 AM
What the f**k did these judges are watching?

I know it was a close one, but majority saw Dom winning the fight, I mean it was a clear day robbery to be honest. I think UFC should seriously look at this judges. Or least give Dom a shot at Jones again, unless Jones avoid it by going up to heavyweight.
5340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 06, 2020, 01:31:37 AM
Historically though, in the men's competition, longevity is the key, Connors, Mcenroe, Borg. And then we have Ivan Lendl, Sampras and Agassi. And now the current big 3 - Djokovic, Nadal and Federer.

The guys you mentioned may not dominate like the big 3 however once the big 3 retire we may see it become like the Women's tennis where its open with no dominate Female now that Serena Williams has become less dominate. I also think that people want to see the young talent win as Thiem was the favourite with the crowd at the AO. The only problem is that Djokovic looks like he could play on for another 5+ years so we could be waiting a while unless the young talent really start to step their games up.
So I don't think that when the current big 3 retires there will be a power vacuum. Another breed of young players are going to emerge out of the ashes and continue the legacy.

But I agree that Djokovic can go 3-5 years still competing against this young generation of tennis players and surpasses Roger Federer's record and became the GOAT.
