5321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 10, 2020, 01:20:11 PM
But on this upcoming match between Loma and Lopez, there'll probably be no upsets.

How? there's be no upset if both teams have equal chances of winning according to the betting odds, those betting odds are our basis to gauge if there is a heavy favorite or not.

According to the article.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshkatzowitz/2019/12/16/vasiliy-lomachenko-vs-teofimo-lopez-odds-loma-is-already-a-healthy-betting-favorite/#5f5128362cf2

Loma is the heavy favorites with the odds.
Quote

According to Betfair, via boxing writer and betting pundit Tom Craze, Lomachenko has opened as a -400 favorite (bet $400 to win $100) while Lopez is +275 (win $275 on a $100 wager).
That odd are base with how Loma fought and with his advantage from his past experiences it's high chance for him to win, but that's not a guarantee since both fighters have equal training and both have time to condition and review there opponents capacities.
In any sports there's always favorite and underdog but who knows what will be the outcome until the final bell was there.

Definitely the odds are base on their past performance and we all know how Loma is, very very technical boxers and a champion, actually he is holding most of the belt and obviously he is fighting to get that final belt - thus this is a unification bout.

And oddmakers really know who to set up as favourites here, its not that they are overlooking the opponent here, but Lopez is still young and might not have the experience and the tools to beat a fighter like Loma at his peak.
5322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 10, 2020, 12:55:34 PM

One thing I am sure to which is why Clarkson want to attack the rim.
There is no shot blocker.

That was their weakness now that they don't have Capela, however we can't say that Rockets are not effective, this was a close game until it ended by a lucky shot of Bogdanović, yeah I will call that lucky as the percentage of it getting in is low since it's a contested shot.

That shouldn't be a close game if they have a legitimate center (big men). I know they can play with a smaller line up since they have Westbrook and Harden that could both score from everywhere on the floor. But, one thing is for sure, if they can't shoot at a high percentage, it will be a guaranteed loss for them.

In this game, the Rockets shoot 46% FG, and that's a good percentage, they just lost in the rebounding department where they out-rebounded by the Jazz  by 12 rebounds. (Jazz total rebound 48, Rockets total rebounds 36).

And that is because even Clarkson could get the offensive rebound out of the Rockets players.
Something is really off with it.
Haven't you noticed guys?
Snyder didn't even abuse the small line up of the Rockets.
He didn't make plays for Gobert. 12 points 15 rebounds 37 minutes
Unlike what Lakers did using Davis and McGee under the rim. He fought the rim attackers like Westbrook and Harden with points in paint too.
This means something.

I guess they really see something different with the game between Houston and Lakers. LA try to attack their small line up but still lost in the end. They played mind games with Houston and not the other way around.

And it could set up a blue print, and that will spell doom for that small line up that Rockets wanted to experiment.  Clarkson dropping 30 points and that winning shot by Bogdanovic slience the crowd.
5323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: February 10, 2020, 12:34:02 PM
I am not so sure that USDT is really backed up 1: 1 with real dollars. I was able to get some information that the USDT actually backed up was only 70% of the current total allocation. many people have pros and cons arguments about this. so I chose to hesitate rather than trust 100%.

They are not, they run on "fractional reserves", just like banks.

Quote
Fractional-reserve banking is the most common form of banking practised by commercial banks worldwide.[1] It involves banks accepting deposits from customers and making loans to borrowers, while holding in reserve an amount equal to only a fraction of the bank's deposit liabilities.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractional-reserve_banking

They even refused to be audited, so how can you trust a services like that? The people behind are very shady as hell, so used them at your own risk.
5324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin breaks 500 million transaction milestone on: February 10, 2020, 11:34:47 AM
Obviously, after the peaked of 2017, many found bitcoin to be a potential investments and probably this is one reason that we see exponential growth after that and it's evident with that 500 million transaction milestone.

So for sure, once we goes on a bull-run and another all time high, this number will grew so we should also expect that it can even double in the next 2-3 years again. And it's good though, as least we know that bitcoin is being used across the globe.
5325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: February 10, 2020, 11:14:40 AM
Quote
* Using banks for transactions, you must connect to be the bank first. In other words, there’s no way you can send or receive money without the bank approving it. This also means that if the bank goes offline, your money is as good as offline too.

It's not that we must connect to the bank first, but when we convert crypto to fiat, definitely, banks will be involved here or at least some remittance services. Unless crypto is really accepted everywhere, we might see banks in the near future.

We might see bitcoin grows in the future, so not many merchant are going to accept it as payment because of its volatile nature. Now it is treated as investments or store of value.

5327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ripple (XRP) will rise to moon. on: February 09, 2020, 11:33:43 PM
First, you should do your due diligence in crypto investing.

Second, you don't ask for financial advise in this community as you might confused you specially if you are a newbie in crypto invested/trading.

Third, we can't really say what direction the price will go. Crypto is very volatile asset, one day you will see a massive jump followed by a big dump.

So if i"m in your shoes, just study the market, equip yourself with the needed knowledge.  Smiley
5328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 09, 2020, 11:05:24 PM
<snip>if money talks then what can we do?
Or if Money Mayweather talks then what can we do?

I think with this rematch, it would both give Manny a chance to redeem himself and at the same time it would give him a good paycheck, the best amount he can make in the possible remaining matches of his boxing career.

That is one match that all boxing fans wanted to see before Manny retires, fight Floyd for the last time, and see if he is the one who's going to take that 0 from Mayweather. Of course, big money paycheck on the table who can resist that.

I know that he can also get a huge amount of money fighting Conor because of the hype, but the money fight is still versus Floyd Mayweather and redeem himself. But I don't know why fighters like Marquez and Floyd didn't want to give Manny a rematch after they beat him. Maybe they are afraid that Manny will beat them in a second fight.
5329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: February 09, 2020, 10:43:35 PM
USD Tether is a Bitfinex issued ERC-20 token which is claimed to be backed by dollar at 1:1 ratio. There are controversial opinions about this and some say it's a scam.

Do you trust USDT or believe it might be a scam?

They have been accused before, so I don't know how you can 'trust' them.

I guess people or investors are going to be smart here, perhaps they are just going to take advantage and just used it to leverage, but to say that they 100% trust them, is an overstatement.
5330  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Malaysia crypto friendly on: February 09, 2020, 10:13:45 PM
Hi there,

I would like to ask if someone here knows  or not Malaysia is open to cryptocurrencies related business?

If someone is actually doing something or if there are some projects or incentives to star up something there...

Thanks for your attention

Basing on the replies of the majority, Malaysia is not as crypto friendly as compare to its neighbouring nations. So it's better to look for alternative countries like Singapore, and as far as I know, a lot of ICO projects are headquarter or at least have a physical office in Singapore so that says that it is crypto friendly and a safe haven.

So regarding your second question, there will be no incentives, on the contrary you may be facing a lot of difficulties and barriers if you choses to open up crypto related business in Malaysia.
5331  Economy / Speculation / Re: One of the best ways to get in the BTC game... on: February 09, 2020, 09:31:10 PM
Well if you have been in the market and had seen halvings before, then the best time is what we call period of accumulation, 2018-2019 and just buy BTC in dips and hold on it.

Right now we have seen the price hitting the five digits again, and many are in the FOMO stage. And I will say that it's not even comparable to buying stocks though, bitcoin is a whole new "economic game". It's a journey of boom and bust cycle.
5332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pomp 100,000$ Prediction on: February 09, 2020, 09:06:44 PM
I agree with Pomp, the halving is in April/May 2020& we’ve seen what happens short to medium term after each block reward halving so far. Due to various factors including the clearly limited supply of coins available on exchanges the price goes north, rapidly.

I definitely think 100k per coin is possible by the end of 2021.

So that will be x5 of the previous all-time-high. Damn, I just couldn't imagine if the price reached that high in 2021, the term "when Lambo" will be trending again.

I like though Pomp's optimism, and he is very consistent of being a bullish specially on spreading his words thru social media. We have seen this before, prior and after halvings, the price really soars and slowly shoots up to ath. So I do hope that Pomp prediction will happen and continue with that "four year cycles" bubbles.
5333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction of Tom Lee 27k$ on: February 08, 2020, 09:29:57 AM
Touch $27K would quite difficult for bitcoin but not impossible. If you see current market trends even bitcoin failed to break $10K zone. I have doubts that bitcoin won't break ATH on this year what we have seen 2017. Big investors of bitcoin has not back still now. Likely some small investors popping up recently and that's why we are encountering small bull, but today seems little pullback. However, we have seen lots of similar predictions before and thats become wrong. So likely $27K predictions would wrong as well. But I am repeating again, everything is possible in crypto-currency so don't lose your hope and patience.

Or maybe big bitcoin investors have accumulated already, they are smart, btw, so I don't think this miss the opportunity to fatten their bitcoin wallet in 2018-2019. But what we need, if we are going to touch another all time high this year of the next coming years is fresh blood to pump the market, or FOMO.

We have seen this happens in the past, although some got burned in 2018, but I think there will comes a time again wherein we can't really stop the FOMO, and so another set of irrational buyers are going to come in the cryptospace and push the price again.
5334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **TAKE YOUR COINS OFF EXCHANGES** on: February 08, 2020, 08:23:27 AM
I agree that "not your keys, not your coins" philosophy and it's not safe to leave your coins in an exchange. But to say that it will create a bull run? Nah, I don't think so.

Actually we have a practice, what we call "Proof of Keys", it is celebrated every year, January 3rd if I'm not mistaken. So far we haven't seen this so called bull run, and it turn this so called event became like a witch hunt, like this one: https://twitter.com/Raindropactual/status/1205162036252094470, just saying.
5335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Can You Get With 0.01 Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2020, 07:40:01 AM
If simply measure the value of 0.01 bitcoin already in hand, it is digital gold, a safe haven with a volatile price.
It's fine to hold some alts but as you mentioned, bitcoin is a digital gold and it's a safe haven for this very volatile market. For a newbie that this is all they've got, it's a good option to keep it first and then grow it until he reaches a higher amount.
And when he has enough already or he thinks that it's a decent amount of invested already he have on bitcoin, then he can diversify to some alts as he wish like the coin you have mentioned as an example.
Bitcoin is the entrance ticket to the world of cryptocurrency. After getting familiar with this ever-evolving industry, it is always a good idea to diversity investment.

But the big question is how to diversify your (crypto) investment? Are you going to buy hype coins and then follow pump-and-dump, very risky to me, or invest on the top ten altcoin market?

And as far as diversifying, might be good to spread it out not just in crypto, but if your capital would allow, go to precious metals, stocks or fixed incomes. That would be a good portfolio, in my opinion.
5336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 delays thread on: February 08, 2020, 07:22:30 AM
Its already a failure, 2.0 was suppose to happen at beginning of 2018, well that was the promise at launch time

Then beginning of 2020, then pushed again?

I guess everyone will grew tired of this unless the people behind are really going to follow their schedule. Although I would understand that one cause of the delay is that they want to system to be ready and without loopholes and blips and free of bugs.

But its been delayed many times already and it could potentially impact the price in the future (but so far it has broken 200$ but I doubt that it will stay on the levels or even move forward to the next - 300$).
5337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE FUTURE OF CNB COIN! on: February 08, 2020, 06:56:47 AM
Hello guys, someone in my group made some analysis that CNB the native token of coinsbit could hit between $1-$0.5 2020 year end. Well she likened this exchange coin to BNB, I don't quiet agree with her submission, because I once heard someone say they lack team after the former co-founder left the company to start a new product. I want to hear your analysis if this will be a good long term investment. I don't want to invest in another exchange that will either be hacked or regret to be shutting down.

Thanks, awaiting your contribution.

Nah, there are many coins as well, KCS (Kucoin) and even TIO (Trade.io) in the past that was compared to BNB, but look at what happened to them, they are still lagging behind in the competition.

BNB is on a different level by its own, while the competition are left behind and don't know how to break BNB's strength. Of course, CNB might hit all time high, but comparing it to BNB? We don't need that, everyone should strived hard first before inserting themselves into the discussion with BNB, just saying.
5338  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Weekly & Monthly Update: Bulls On Parade, Majors Flying on: February 04, 2020, 10:31:39 PM
Although it is currently struggling to maintain its price for about $9,000-$94,000, the probability that it would hit $10,000 this month is great.

As long as we maintain above the 200DMA and the 21DEMA, I'm pretty confident that we will get that push to $10,300 where we will face our next big resistance. If we close below aforementioned moving averages, I'll switch to bear-mode again and prepare for another sub $8000 push, and likely much further lower.

If this is the actual start of the next bull market, we need continuation of the current momentum. Failure will be punished hard because traders will try to front run each other by selling and prepare to buy the next bounce levels. I expect a reaction from the price before friday. I hope for bullish continuation, but I'm prepared of the other scenario as well.

I guess we don't have to wait till the end of this week, although the price stands above $9k, it seems that the bullish momentum has stop for now. From $9500-$9100, I seeing small drops in the coming days and we might be going <$9k or trade sideways with that.

I do hope that we don't go sub $8000, although it will be another opportunity to buy back again. But it could trigger another dump if we see the price go that low this week.
5339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is, this is right time to buy Energi (NRG) as per market status on: February 04, 2020, 10:15:26 AM
From two days in crypto market, altcoins are in dump position and the BTC Dominance is also on 66%. Now there is question that, should we invest is Energi (NRG) which is a new favorite altcoin to all crypto investors because of its trading volume, supply and most important their roadmap schedule for the project improvement.

I think NRG hype is already over, it was still hyping as of 2019, however, just like any altcoins, it also suffered. So I don't know if there is another hype train coming along. So for me, I would stay away from this coin, unless you are really sold on NRG.

The decision is yours, maybe it's better to check other altcoins, specially in the top 10, just saying.
5340  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future Crypto Market & China Printing Money on: February 04, 2020, 06:34:02 AM
Seemingly this Corona Virus has put the Free World and its associated markets into shambles. From Dropping the Dow Jones over 500 points on Friday to now seemingly China "panic printing" money in the nice sum of 1.2 Trillion Yuan. Needless to say the real questions lie in "What Next"? "What's really going on"? "How will this effect everything"? "Are we in trouble"? As usual any thoughts and comments are more than welcome.

I think you are talking about China pumping their market by printing $170++ millions because of the said health crisis. Well in an economic standpoint of view of any governments around the world, printing money is the best choice, right now.

Are we in trouble because of this? We really don't know, US-China trade war has somewhat impacted the economies of this two nations that trickles world wide. But with the current epidemic like this and reports surfacing that other countries are already affected, might be. But as far as crypto goes, there could be some positive impact as they say, as bitcoin could be used a leverage in this kind of situation.
