5321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 15, 2021, 05:15:48 PM
Personally counting out my own team (Barca) but of course like deep down inside, I hope both Madrid teams amazingly stumble and open the door a little for us.
It seems to me that of these three leaders, Barcelona was the one that stumbled the most. I really like this club, but this season I would like Atletico to become champions, because Semione deserves it, deserves to raise the winners' cup with Atletico above his head. I sincerely hope they can do it. Today there should be an easy game with Osasuna and lastly a very difficult game with Valladolid.

Yeah, even as a fan and supporter, I can agree here. We did have a really good streak though that let us catch up everywhere, I suppose that gave us some hope even though it then got murdered out proper after the Granada loss;)

I've said it before also I want Atletico to win this if NOT us, but some people think their style of play doesn't deserve it.
5322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA, why no pump yet on: May 15, 2021, 03:38:35 PM
Maybe because IOTA was NOT the first coin of its type of blockchain (DAG)? At least from what I recall, it was a dagcoin but hard to keep track of all the developments and switch of protocol/consensus algorithm nowadays.

Iota was pretty cool for the time, maybe these alt alt altcoins will have a day in the far future?
5323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 15, 2021, 03:06:54 PM
I'll think about joining Copa for sure, depending a bit on the entry price, and depending a lot on whether or not I see familiar faces, don't get me wrong I joined two other competitions quite recently and it wasn't as fun at all because the people didn't like to talk or discuss maybe a language thing (not on this forum). A lot of familiar faces from La Liga though:)
5324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 79,228,162,514,264,337,593,543,950,336 Private keys per bitcoin address? on: May 15, 2021, 01:55:15 PM
I guess I've to stand up and say this is completely new to me... I had no idea that there was more than one private key per address.

I always knew one private key = a lot of addresses. I didn't know someone could be using a different private key and still access the same address. I know this is very very unlikely but it still doesn't really come into my mind:)
5325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Your Bitcoin Wallet Be Hacked? How Can You Secure It? on: May 15, 2021, 08:09:11 AM
And you also can't talk about those things so you won't be a target because some people you may know sometimes are the suspect. Offline storage is the safest in my opinion but you have to be careful as to where you are going to hide the keys to access it. If you don't talk about how your passwords you use are the same for any, you won't have trouble that people will be able to piece it together but it is still safer if you use different password for different platforms.

There are other things that also make you a target, not just talking about it. Some people want to go around town showing off their Bitcoin mobile app like Roger Ver sending free BCH to everyone passing by. If people know you're using BTC and they know how high BTC is these days they can easily target you.

This isn't a hacking of your wallet, this is a bashing of you head in;)
5326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 14, 2021, 06:56:58 PM
How come we are talking about Modric speed anyway? He is not slow but he is not fast for sure, he is simply a player that makes all other players in the team better.

I called him "important for real tempo". Meaning he is setting the tempo of the attacks for the whole squad. Ball is always quicker then the player and he and Kroos have mastered that part perfectly with quick distributions to team mates.

Only because of his age now and how he might get too slow. He was never fast we all agree. But with age you lose even more speed (not on running but on reaction) and if the body cannot react as fast as his mind it will begin to show a lot for midfield creatives like him.

Agree about tempo. He is for me the Alonso replacement in Real, setting the tempo not just for his team but for the other team.
5327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will drop 90% more, better cash out to BTC now on: May 14, 2021, 06:22:53 PM
of course it will, the main reason why doge got pumped is elon and it only take one fud from elon and all the people holding it gonna go crazy and probably trigger massive selling, that's how weak this coin market is and considering the initial price of this coin alongside how much this coin generated each year -90% seem to be the most proper aftermath of this doge coin craze and if elon fails to applease public even once people gonna turn away from him and probably make him some coin of villain since what's what the masses do. just be really aware when dealing with meme coin, otherwise your pocket gonna run thin.

Well the entire crypto market crashed so traditional investors will point and say aha! I told you so! This Bitcoin market is so weak and is a scam.

Ignoring that the market has always been volatile and so effectively affected by such big personalities like Wlon.

He will get unpopular after a while like McAfee eventually became. Then we'll forget about him.
5328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to debunk the Bitcoin Energy Consumption drama on: May 14, 2021, 04:42:45 PM
Nobody talks about internet and app use these days consuming vast amounts of energies for... pure entertainment. Email, video, text and audio. I don't have stats but 90% of it is for pure entertainment that brings no value of anything at all.

But nobody complains, this is the Dystopia of humans being distracted by entertainment. And our dear Elon is part of that entertainment too:)
5329  Economy / Speculation / Re: May 13th, Bitcoin will surge to $70k or it will be dump? on: May 14, 2021, 04:06:44 PM
But probably his attack has some bad intention behind, to bring the market down so that he can enter and scoop cheap bitcoins, very clever Elon!!! So we are not going to $70k this day but ~$50k.

No I don't think Elon's an evil man so he has no bad intention. But he isn't a good man either. He just did this for pure profits, and for the feeling of knowing that his words have such a powerful effect on the entire crypto market.

He feels good about feeling powerful and about reminding others how powerful he is. That's not a bad intention, just selfish.
5330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 14, 2021, 12:59:13 PM
Thank you Manchester United and Liverpool, my bet was over 2.5 goals and it came after first half easily. Honestly I didn't expect 6 goals from this match but I'm glad they scored too many goals effortlessly. It was a bad day for goalkeepers though. I liked Jota's opening goal most, Firmino's performance was also quite good. I still don't understand how this team is only in 5th place in Premier League. Klopp's Liverpool deserve better.

Yeah, this isn't usually a type of game with a lot of goals but to be fair, at least 2 of the goals were from mistakes. That said, 4 goals even is a lot, so very very unusual United Liverpool type of game. I think anyone betting on overs would win last night, over 2.5 cards, over 9.5 corners, over 2.5 goals.

Only if you wanted to get a card for Liverpool you would have lost.

And table doesn't lie. Liverpool were terrible for most of the season.
5331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Jumps 22% as Elon Musk Hints at Improving Network’s Transaction Efficie on: May 14, 2021, 12:39:45 PM
I think one of the guys, Billy whatever, he's been active again since last year's Tiktok hype and he's been giving a lot of interviews and even responding to Elon himself on Twitter. Guess that's the developer he's talking about. Elon thinks this is so technical though, it's nothing like that in crypto;)
5332  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk loses $20B since SNL..would you believe? on: May 14, 2021, 12:00:12 PM
Sell high, buy low. It's not difficult to sell some, launch some bomb shells on the national television, then buy back, no matter if we talk about Bitcoin or stocks.
Of course, we don't know if he did this or not, but, as you said, he's not stupid. Impatient, maybe, but not stupid.
And he knows, and we know that after a week or two nobody will remember this and the prices should get back to normal.

Jamie Dimon did this with Bitcoin already, and I think even some old shillers know how to do the same. Dips are great times to buy. Sell for USDT and buy back in easy flip of 20% why not?

If I had the money and the following I can on myself bet I'd do the same, and I'm sure most of us would also without blinking.
5333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Difference between Limit and Market button on: May 14, 2021, 10:48:19 AM
Usually limit is better I agree. But other option is when you do margin trading I use market since I want to catch the price. Trading BTC is okey with market cause the volume is so big.

Margin trading doesn't help you to catch prices at all, it just allows you to trade bigger lots with a smaller capital, increasing your profit margin and your risk margins. Limit is setting exactly the price you want to buy or sell, and the rate/output you want to do. Margin isn't a type of order, it's a type of trading (also called leverage).
5334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 14, 2021, 10:06:15 AM
However the League will continue until the next few weeks, do not immediately congratulate Atletico Madrid. Even though I am a loyal supporter of Atletico Madrid, I cannot be happy for now ...

There might be some unexpected events from the remaining matches ...

No one is due any congratulations until the final whistle of the final match day, this is what I think. All 3 are good, but all 3 are unpredictable, and all 3 are under intense pressure now.

Personally counting out my own team (Barca) but of course like deep down inside, I hope both Madrid teams amazingly stumble and open the door a little for us.
5335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 20/21 - discussion thread on: May 14, 2021, 08:46:32 AM
Just read some news about Ajax melting their trophy down into little stars and giving each of their season ticket subscribers one of the stars. I have to admit I never knew much about Eredivisie football but I saw a pic of Edwin van der Saar holding the star and that attracted me to click on the news article. Didn't know he was an Ajax CEO already:)
5336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla destroys bitcoin :-[ on: May 14, 2021, 08:14:38 AM
Oh, come on now! I know the consensus is Elon is a fool, and everyone involved in Bitcoin has to hate him, but seriously he's much more than a car manufacturer. I'd say his more prolific, and impressive work is with SpaceX. So, although it does annoy me they have come out with this announcement, I won't just discredit him out of spite. I do believe this was a calculated effort to improve their brand reputation, though which just shows we the lack of courage they actually have. Since, they definitely don't have the proof that Bitcoin uses any more energy than several other industries out there.

I agree here. I mean, I think he's a bit of an idiot and and egomaniac (not sure if that's the right word) but he has done a lot of really good engineering that will help the future of electric vehicles and space travels.

You can't have it all. Geniuses are hard to work with and even harder to live with. And everyone was happy when he pumped crypto, so we should also be happy he can also dump it. It takes a world to make crypto:)
5337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 13, 2021, 05:08:23 PM
LOL at my own team, seriously. And no I never said it was going to be easy, this was always going to be a case of "on paper".

2 games left. And we need Atletico AND Real to both lose, so no, impossible. Now you all know why the bookies were offering 3x for Barca to get La Liga before the game:)
If no miracle happens, Barcelona will no longer be La Liga champions this season. Atletico Madrid is in a very strong position. Because their future opponents are much weaker than them. If Atletico Madrid will play their future match with a little care, they could easily win the title this season.

Enough miracles already happened for us to be honest, and we ourselves never took advantage of it. Our draw with Levante is proof we should not have won this league and if we do, it will be the fault of both Madrids.

I still have a small Barca bet to win La Liga outright from early season when we were playing like shit so of course I want the miracle to happen but seriously, we deserve not to win:)
5338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 13, 2021, 04:17:20 PM
It is not normal for English teams to want to take the game to extra time. But English football is also different today. But I believe, that the teams will try without great fears to score goals. So, I have some doubts if the game is going to extra time. City will be able to impose themselves during the game, but it is true that Chelsea can cancel the opposing team's game well.

It's not normal for English teams to meet in a final. Liverpool met Spurs of course but Liverpool's coach is so anti draws he would rather lose than draw as he showed earlier against Real Madrid, even if it's a final.

Pep versus Tuchel doesn't sound like a boring draw either though I have got to say, so I'd definitely back BTTS as part of a Betbuilder.
5339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Difference between Limit and Market button on: May 13, 2021, 02:55:33 PM
Good explanations and you should always sell or buy with limit. I personally like to even set really extreme limit buys for Bitcoin if I have spare cash to try and get good prices but of course you risk that the price never goes down and just goes up, in which case then I have to hold on to my alts but it all works out in the end;)

Limit for DEXs would be great...
5340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I regret selling BTC for entering DeFi. HODLing is the way! on: May 13, 2021, 02:20:30 PM
Soon there will be more and more people like you also regretting. Defi is just a trendy thing right now with 100% APY but it all won't matter in the end when their tokens crash and burn.
assurance is nothing with DEFI bs projects , they are like Pump and Dump coins and will never have a place for long term in this market.
Quote
Plus, all these networks people are trusting to wrap their Bitcoin? It's not going to end well when one of it becomes insecure or rogue, I believe this is a matter of time only:)
At least OP has now new knowledge and will surely use this in His future investments.

Indeed, assurance is bullshit in Defi, and people who actually think assurance means something have never been in crypto. I was in ICOs with all kinds of assurances. Roadmap inspections and assessments. Even escrow protections. These are all bullshit at the end of the day and I learned my lesson so hard:)
