Volume has been stuck at 107.90 for 20 minutes now.
5342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FirstBits.com - remember and share Bitcoin addresses on: June 26, 2011, 06:55:12 PM
Nothing is what we had before Smiley (besides parsing HTML—ouch).
5343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 06:42:19 PM
All this fuss and refreshing and no one is offering a real price? Come on, this is going to be anticlimactic.

That's because there's no real price. At least no more real than this:

"high":17.51001
"low":15
"avg":15.937859286
"vol":79.04892973
"last":15
"buy":15
"sell":16.99
5344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Camp BX Platform in Beta: Margin Trading, Short Selling, and Advanced Orders on: June 26, 2011, 06:28:04 PM
I miss a json api.
      The API is ready, but we are planning to roll it out after the launch.  Stay tuned!

Good. That's interesting for you too, since it reduces traffic.
5345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 06:25:22 PM
Mine do appear now. Canceling works as expected. Yay! No real time data on Clark Moody's yet.
5346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 06:10:52 PM
It's letting me place buy orders for two and three times my money without returning that good old message about not enough funds.
5347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 06:01:44 PM
After a delay, my order did show up in my open orders.

Great, how long was that delay? It's 2 minutes here and still doesn't appear.
5348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 05:01:39 PM
Any other competent technical folks want to get together and discuss putting an exchange together? Not too impressed with the options we have right now.

Serious?
5349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 03:47:49 PM
just got in and wanted to put in an order

answer: trading still closed till fully tested

LOL

Same here. The API is slow but responsive. Clark Moody's page manages to keep the websocket open, although no data gets through.

Oh, and I bet PostgreSQL would be better than mysql, for the same price.
5350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 03:33:58 PM
Same here. SQL error are gone for now.
5351  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I can connect FXCM forex trading platform to Mt Gox. Anybody interested? on: June 26, 2011, 03:32:14 PM
A trading platform that also runs on Linux would be nice…   Cool

Sure it would.
5352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goxed - 15:30 open on: June 26, 2011, 03:25:28 PM
Well... now it's pretty well safe! With MySQL dead I doubt anyone can inject it now. Aha! Dead MySQL 1 x H4x0Rz 0

^^ ROTFL x)
5353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gox wouldn't be getting hammered right now, if they had allowed open orders on: June 26, 2011, 03:22:36 PM
SQL crashed^^

Not surprised.
5354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you going back to MtGox? on: June 26, 2011, 03:03:09 PM
If money transfers are already ok, what else could/should have a market to be "suitable for EU"? Apart from the obvious "have its price stated in euros instead of dollars" Smiley.
5355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet.Dat Recovery... Recover Your Own Lost Bitcoins! on: June 26, 2011, 02:43:56 PM
Say bye-bye to this method as soon as wallets are encrypted on disk.

It still works if you can decrypt the archive (or the entire disk) before doing the search. So mount the encrypted volume, then do the search.

I was talking about encrypted wallet as implemented by the bitcoin client, which is a strongly demanded feature these days. Once deleted, it's lost forever. Keep backups!

5357  Economy / Economics / Re: How is "Volume" calculated on the bitcoin exchanges? on: June 26, 2011, 11:33:38 AM
Ahh good to know. I thought it was reset at 0:00 GMT.
5358  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanity bitcoin addresses: a new way to keep your CPU busy on: June 26, 2011, 10:46:38 AM
Thanks!  Wink  What's the command to apply it to a build?

You need the patch utility. There are a couple of implementations for windows out there. Just unpack the bitcoin sources into a directory, download the patch, open a cmd window and type this:

Code:
> cd \path\to\bitcoin-sources
> patch -p1 < \path\to\vanity-0.3.23.patch

(Disclaimer: that's untested). Then compile as usual. I only compiled bitcoind (headless) since that's what I use anyway.

I think this is inherently a bad idea, especially coming from one of the core developers of bitcoin.

I understand he did it for the lulz and in no way he seriously endorses its usage. After all, you have to jump through a couple of hoops to get it working.
5359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FirstBits.com - remember and share Bitcoin addresses on: June 26, 2011, 10:31:17 AM
The api is up.

Somewhat longish, but better than nothing. Thanks!
5360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attn: Tradehill on: June 26, 2011, 10:28:19 AM
The plan on the charts is to use Java, it looks like I forgot to mention that. We won't be using Flash.

*OUCH*  That's even *worse* Undecided

Please, confirm you actually meant java instead of javascript.
