5341  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 24, 2020, 05:06:08 AM
There's no relation between bitcoin and the minimum wages that we have for our countries. Actually, the given example was already high enough compared to the third world countries that make that minimum per hour into a minimum per day.

And the world isn't just rotating with the minimum earners because this is all about the economy of the bitcoin market. I get the point of questioning how would people be able to invest if they only have less salary which sums up to the total market cap of bitcoin. The bitcoin economy doesn't go like that.
5342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Music streaming services which accept crypto? on: January 24, 2020, 04:02:17 AM
I don't know that there's one but with searching, if there's any relative service just like this one, I've found that there were projects that built to be like this one.

Which Are the Top 5 Best Blockchain-based Music Streaming Platforms?

And take note that most of the projects that are on the list, I'm not very familiar with any of them.
5343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My funds have been stolen! on: January 23, 2020, 01:01:00 PM
Sorry but your funds was already stolen and you can't retrieve it anymore. Can you remember the software and apps that you have downloaded to your PC?

Let's say that you have been aware of protecting your security all of the time but you probably missed some random apps that you have downloaded and didn't noticed it as you use them.
it becomes very possible if he has used an app that contains a backdoor etc.
maybe this is my suggestion to use premium antivirus which has banking, payment and cryptocurrency protect features as I use it on my device
and to keep it even safer I recommend closing your webcam for secure your password
What kind of antivirus is that?

Even you are activated with premium and best antivirus but if your browsing activity isn't monitored and you keep downloading unfamiliar apps, there's still a chance that you might get a backdoor. Or there is a tendency that you might your wallet info into an unknown sheet or fill up forms.

5344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling milk tea for Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 11:34:28 AM
First, I'd like to congratulate you for being the first business to have bitcoin as a means of payment. I've seen the same kind of business and with a not so different product, if you remember the trending news about the lemonade kids that's what I'm talking about.

Since you have already found out that there's less user of bitcoin in your place so don't be expecting a lot with your test run. But the good thing is that you have it initiated and your parents are okay with it and that's a precious tandem you have. Having this kind of parents is a gift to you as they are open with bitcoin.
5345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quick Survey: why do you specifically use crypto to gambooool ? on: January 22, 2020, 10:39:24 PM
The majority will say because it doesn't require you to verify your location, your name and even other important details that you have which requires you from entering to a normal physical casino.

The minimum amount that most crypto casinos are even low so this is really part of the convenience that it brings to the gamblers like me.
5346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do cryptocurrencies diversify each other? on: January 22, 2020, 10:02:52 PM
It does makes sense to diversify and you should also think outside of crypto if you're talking about diversification. You must be open into another investment that you believe can grow and you understand how you can make money out of it.

I have seen investors in crypto that are also more focused with diversification to the point that they are ignoring and forgetting bitcoin. This is a wrong strategy if they are missing bitcoin on their portfolio then they have multiple of altcoins to their choice. And as you know, bitcoin does affect most of them.

That's true and that's one of the risks of keeping all your funds in a single wallet. I think you have downloaded or have clicked phishing sites that might hacked your wallet. It's a lesson for you to learn. You should secure your wallets and be mindful of every click and download that you will be doing. It's just sad that you have lost the funds that you have worked for.
It's very sad because OP needs it for the operation of his mom and this kind of incident did happened to him, very frustrating.

...
Next time it will be best if you use a much more secured wallet like blockchain or your local exchange if you have some so you can easily reach the customer service in case there is a problem in your wallet like this one.

Blockchain or a local exchange?  Those are bad ideas unless you are incompetent about securing your own computer.  Then you don't own bitcoin, you have an IOU.

Electrum is secure if your computer is secure.  People saying that "they" have lots of security issues are misinformed.
People never learn about keeping their funds with an exchange, local or international. I understand that they like it keeping there so that they can easily sell it if it's needed but they don't realize that once the exchange gets hacked, they can't retrieve it anymore unless the exchange is generous to refund the lost funds of affected users.
5348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term bullish run is now over, and it was most likely a failed rally on: January 22, 2020, 05:49:04 PM
I thought right now that we are supposed to see under $8,500 again because it's been $8,500+ but my speculation and expectation didn't go through. The price suddenly rose and managed to stand again to $8,700.

This is also what I thought initially, when I see the price going down in the last couple of days.

I'd say it's all over again, but then again, the price remains along the $8600-$8700 very surprising and I will say that we are still in the bullish trend, at least. So this might continue up until the end of the month, the bullishness of the market, the sentiments of the investors and confidence are still here.
It could be the support again for bitcoin and that's the usual pricing whenever we see some corrections on its way. Others doesn't seem to be convinced that we're on the bullish trend as of looking to the charts of bitcoin.

Because they are only convinced that we're going bullish if the price never stops dropping. That's their basis to say that the bull has ended and it's their opinion regards to the market.
5349  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on the highest /lowest value of bitcoin in 2020? on: January 22, 2020, 03:54:11 PM
This year bitcoin is volatile
Bitcoin has been volatile all of the time. It's the attached character that it has ever since it was created.

Hey guys, what u think? Will bitcoin go up to the new record or Will go down? Its better to buy now and hold or wait?
What do you think of the market? this will determine your goal by buying bitcoin. If you are shorting and you are uncertain buying right now, don't do it because you might feel bad if you see the market goes down a bit quickly. But if your plan is the last question you have, then do it and hold it until you are satisfied of selling it.
5350  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: January 21, 2020, 11:45:49 PM
I'm thinking about investing in bustabit's bankroll but I wonder how safe the funds are? Can the funds be hacked at some point in the future? How are they stored?
It is safe just like in bustadice and the answer is already indicated on the first post if you want to invest and how the funds are being kept.

the majority of funds are held in a multisignature cold wallet by myself, Ryan and a trusted third party.

5351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term bullish run is now over, and it was most likely a failed rally on: January 21, 2020, 11:00:13 PM

The reason why bitcoin is more valuable than dollar is not the fact that there is less of it, the reason why bitcoin is more valuable is that bitcoin can't be corrupted like fiat. If you think bullish run is over, you are wrong, it is only starting.
It's a fact that the limited supply of bitcoin is making it more valuable than any other currency. This is the reason why many are turning in to it and because of another fact that there are coins that are totally lost forever, this makes the supply even more precious as time goes by.

5353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I am looking for crypto job on: January 21, 2020, 09:21:47 PM
Setup your portfolio, AFAIK there are many hirings that are looking for that kind of experience you have. Look for that kind of job to Services for there are specific post there that might suit you.

Don't also forget to include your potential rates, fixed or not and what cryptocurrencies you prefer as payment.
5354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any gambling site that allows betting directly from the wallet? on: January 21, 2020, 08:34:29 PM
I haven't seen that kind of casino and if you're looking for a feature like that, I think it's more empowered by smart contracts or of the same. But those kind of casinos didn't click and has a low amount of interest from the people and most of the casinos now has representative that's assigned in withdrawals.

But there's a way to gamble even without registration though this is completely different from what you are asking. Meanwhile, this is the other feature that you like, bustadice has instant deposits/withdrawals.
5355  Economy / Speculation / Re: should I buy now? on: January 21, 2020, 07:56:52 PM
Bitcoin again showed a good price to buy and it is $8554. It has reached $9,000 a few days ago and if you think that it's a cheaper price to buy right now just do it. It is hard if you are letting others decide what to do with your money.

But if since you are just asking about our suggestions, most will say that it's now a time to buy and as usual, any time it is if you're buying bitcoin and you are long.
5356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Exchange Discussion on: January 20, 2020, 11:48:54 PM
If you have a token or altcoin that needs to be listed to an exchange, first, avoid those unknown exchanges that are offering free listing and always consider the liquidity that they have. If you will bite that kind of offer they have, expect a bad result with your coin.

But what matters most is the fundamentals and use case of your coin. If it's very useful and people are seeing it so whether it will be on any exchange, they will buy it but it changes also from time to time because the impression of an exchange of where your token is listed will also be shared to your coin. The popular exchanges will cost you much but do you think you can par with their pricing?
5357  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: January 20, 2020, 11:00:08 PM
Then those balances will be stuck overnight if no one can't access it. The market will become frozen for the meanwhile but when it's able again, you must not be surprised with the possible panic selling because of that incident.

Many will start to decide to sell their crypto assets before it vanish completely. This is a kind of scenario that will only happen if the world's internet will be totally shutdown but it's unlikely to be seen, thanks to the great tech behind bitcoin.

There are some scenarios how crypto-currencies can disappear, we can see them in some topics here on forum.
Different types of disasters are mentioned, for me one thing is sure, if it comes to some bad scenario, coins will be
the last thing on our mind, we will think how to survive! We can't eat and breath internet and coins we have on the
internet.
I'm not one of the people who see end of the world and prophecy disasters as possible in some near future.
Cryptos are running on a blockchain and it's a secured network that even a disaster will come as long as the internet keeps on running, they will never be gone. As I've said, if the whole world will be affected by that there will be freezing in transactions but it is not going to deplete it as a whole.

Natural calamities will come and it's for sure but there will be some parts of the world that will not be affected by it. So it means that the operation of bitcoin and other altcoins will be fully operational unless all the miners in the world are affected and stopped mining.
5358  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will the Third Block Reward Halving Affect Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2020, 10:28:09 PM
What happened in the litecoin halving last August should be a warning. There was a pump to $150 up to the halving, and then the price collapsed to $50.
I saw that disappointing after effect of that halving to Litecoin but I think it's a different case with bitcoin. Litecoin is an alt while bitcoin is a total different thing.
I agree, when Litecoin rose up before halving it felt like Bitcoin also helped influenced Litecoin's price movements since they both share some similar patterns during those months.
And hopefully bitcoin wouldn't do the same as what Litecoin did with its halving last time.

The price should increase after the next halving in a similar way to the last two halvings. I expect an increase that will be gradual for at least a year.
This is the expectation by everybody who have went through with one or more halvings. The pattern is likely to increase after the halving and it's like for several months. The comparison of those events are very known to the community and the results were very impressive and encouraging.
5359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 19, 2020, 09:34:57 PM
I have read the majority opinion regarding this match on social media and it seems that most of them are going for Manny. It's an obvious mismatch for an UFC fighter to fight against a living legend and still a strong pound for pound boxer with a lot of belts from different divisions.

Whatver reason Conor had for doing this kind of match, he did this for his own sake and gain. We understand that boxing isn't for him but if this is what he wants and if Manny allows him to fight him, we'll see how a teacher will teach a kid.

But if the other way around, like the rule, is an MMA rule then it will be a different story because we all know Connor is very good in MMA combat fighting and Manny only knows boxing, but I don't think Manny will agree to fight in an MMA rules, he rather not go for the match.
Well, that's for sure. MMA is way different from boxing but he's the one that's requesting for this match so don't expect that Manny is the one to adjust for this fight and he's an intelligent fighter that will not do this if this is just for PPV sake.

The transition is a risk for him but it's an obvious boxing fight and Conor is known for that just like what he did and asked for a match with Floyd. And the manager of Manny is already appeared to say that it should be a boxing match.
5360  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will the Third Block Reward Halving Affect Bitcoin? on: January 19, 2020, 09:00:20 PM
Who's that guy on that tweet in that article? no fundamentals for this upcoming halving for bitcoin to pump? how come that there's no fundamental reason? I think he's not seeing the current things that happened to bitcoin lately since 2019, hash rate surged by that year.
