5341  Other / Off-topic / Re: Check Your lifestyle to get a longer life like Japanese people did on: September 22, 2020, 03:15:57 PM
A record one person in every 1500 is aged at least 100 and they're probably a woman -

According to CNN news the figure of 80,450 people aged 100 as figures presented by Japan's Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry. It shows 9,176 more than their previous record compare to this year which equates to one in every 1,565 people.

Japanese food is amazing, I love it. I think every country can learn a lot from the japanes kitchen. Fresh raw fish, a lot of rice and local ingredients. It's just amazing. Japanes food includes a lot of vegetables and they always focus on healthy food. They don't use much sugar and try to make healthy sauces. Like Miso and Soya for example, it's perfect to add to a very light sauce. Compared to Ketchup or Mayo to stuff like that, it's 100 times more healthy than the things we eat in the Western world. Also the japanese food is usually in much smaller quantities and has more variety than the usual 1 main 1 side dish in the west.
5342  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The second hand clothes market is booming. on: September 22, 2020, 02:50:09 PM

So what do you think about the trend to buy second hand clothes? Would you consider buying or selling clothes?

I noticed myself that there is huge demand for second hand clothes a few months back. Was very surprised when my great aunt sold some of heir designer clothes via Ebay for a pretty good prices. I wasn't aware people would actually buy them. But it seems like it if the quality is a good, and they look fairly new is so much cheaper than buying them new. Unfortunately most of my clothes are nothing special, so I don't think anyone would actually pay for them. The only thing I will sell this winter is my old Ski clothes and buy some new ones.
5343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest for beginners on: September 22, 2020, 10:53:41 AM
Financial markets are a bit volatile at the moment, resulting in higher volatility for crypto markets too. US Election coming up, FinCEN files were leaked, and the corona pandemic is still ongoing. So if you have some money to invest I would recommend to not buy everything at once. Better to spread out your investments over a couple of weeks and buy every week a bit. Transaction costs will be higher like this, but you might be able to get more favourable prices. I wouldn't recommend selling any holdingy at the moment, better to just hold and sit out any potential sell out.

5345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: September 22, 2020, 09:22:16 AM
Parenting is really hard. A growing person wants to try all things so it is not a surprise if he will venture in gambling at some point of his life. But as he grows older, he will realize things on his own. A parent can only give so much and the rest will be on his own accord. All of us have our own realizations in life, and those will not be influenced by our parents. It is our experience that taught us about life.

I agree with you, good parenting should be about understanding a subject and its risk involved, ratger than just prohibiting everything without a good reason. There are different levels of gambling and betting and under supervision it's much better to get a feeling for it. There is also a risk that if everything is mir allowed by your parents, that you will try everything at once when turning 18.
5346  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Privileges as Hostage: How it could Push Countries Toward China on: September 22, 2020, 09:11:43 AM

The arms war between the Philippines and China will not happen in the near future because China's strategy is to minimize America's presence in Asia, even the American maneuvers in the South China Sea are ignored by China. If China starts combat, there is the legitimacy for America's presence in the South China Sea which will dissolve the regional design that China has been drafting so far. China does not want to be ashamed and loses face, because in fact, America's military power is greater than China, besides that the Chinese army has no experience in fighting. China's control around the South China Sea will not be through violence but rather through soft diplomacy with the diaspora and approaches through lobbying with oligarchs so that many government policies of a country will be pro-China.

The cost of Chinese diplomacy will remain cheap because it only needs to prepare facilitation payments to lobby government officials of a country, while the investment can follow the OBOR protocol.

I think America is just the general term for all Western countries. China is trying to influence in conflict with most western countries. The Chinese strategy is to minimise American influence all around the world, not only Pacific. As America was the last super power. For example, China his heavily investing in Africa and also south America. I think China wants to be a super power themselves nd for that they are trying to secure high commodity countries all around the world. Chinese ownership in foreign companies is increasing every year and another way to influence countries.
5347  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did Bill Gates create Corona Virus (Covid-19) ? on: September 22, 2020, 08:43:22 AM
What nonsense OP? I did not do anything. This is outright defamation! Cheesy

Thanks Bill for coming here and putting the OP in his place. Most of us on the forum know that it's just a hoax.

Any insider tips on Microsoft?
5348  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you know any good ways to promote a mobile application game? on: September 22, 2020, 05:57:51 AM
Not sure if this thread is still active and OP looking for new ways to get more traffic towards his app.

What I noticed of smaller Apps to get some traffic would be mainly through advertisements in social media or youtube. Youtube would in my opinion be probably the best choice because many people watch videos from their phone or tablets, so it's only 1 click away to download your app.  Another way would of course be to get more users who also review your app with a good feedback and many stars.
5349  Economy / Economics / Re: Your eyes can help your economy, please protect it for your good. on: September 21, 2020, 02:37:30 PM
I agree that the eyes are a very important body part and without them it's very hard to work and be independent. But I also think that everybody part is important we all should be very cautious with our health. Losing arms or legs is also very dramatic and changes your life completely. Many jobs require us to be flexible and mobile. Without good health everything else is not so important anymore.
5350  Economy / Economics / Re: I was Right again about USA dollars Going in europe on: September 21, 2020, 02:31:49 PM
Now Everybody here remember I said that I was checking Everything and I found out the a lot of USA dollars Going in europe.

And Now there was report about money loundering in europe banks.

So my Words was Right again Smiley

Those who argued with me Can now eat their words 🤣

I must have missee your last thread about money laundering. But this seems fairly plausible to me. USD is still the most currency used on the planet. Many things are settled in USD all around the globe. So people in Europe  still love dollars even though we have the Euro. Especially since higher denominated bills are not so common anymore, the most common is the 50€ bill.
5351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project? on: September 21, 2020, 02:25:57 PM
I think the main reason why people stop there crypto project is that it doesn't create enough demand. Running a successful project is a lot of work, especially if you don't have an experienced team behind it. I believe many new projects under estimate the continuous work required for a good coin. To be a good project you need investor as steady stream of trades, without that project will be forgot too fast. So a continuous form of advertisement are required to acquire new investors every month.
5352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP FIVE SECRETS OF MAKING IT BIG IN BETTING WORLD on: September 21, 2020, 02:11:49 PM
Discipline will help a gambler control himself in gambling, and the next thing is managing his money to be used to playing gambling.
But we can not bet less to win more because that will be difficult to get if you don't have skills, knowledge, luck, and experience.
We should not break the discipline and limit the money that we already arrange because if we do that, I am afraid that we will lose the money.
Besides that, if we win the games, we must stop for a while to reduce the tension we got after winning.
Please don't wait until your greed becomes bigger or you will regret it in the end.

I agree with you, discipline is the key to be decent gambler. We all need discipline to manage our expectations when gamble. After losing  or winning in a row for a while it's hard to withstand the idea of seeing patterns. We also need discipline to manage our emotions. With our a good discipline we are likely to lose all the winnings we make in a day again, just because we can't stop. Another important factor in my opinion is luck which we can't control.
5353  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pets used to guard property on: September 21, 2020, 01:59:53 PM
I think the best pets to guard properties are dogs, but they must be properly trained to do so. Saw a study a while back where people would enter a random property with a dog on it to check what the dogs would do. Only in 5-10% of the cases would the dog actually attack the intruder. In most cases the dog would just bark a few times and let it be. And if you have some meat and sleeping pills you can take out the dogs pretty quick too. So maybe an electronic robot dog would be the best.

I'm on board now. I come from Germany and want to learn more about bitcoin. A friendly "Hello!"   Smiley   to everyone here.

A friendly Hello back. Always great to see more people from Europe. The German subsection on this forum is quite busy, definitely worth it to check it out. Good luck with your crypto journey.
5355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RIP: The Notorious RBG on: September 21, 2020, 01:45:32 PM

Although I've frequently found myself at ideological odds with her votes on the supreme court, I can't help be proud when reflecting on her career.  As an American conservative who believes that all men and women are naturally granted certain inalienable rights, as equals, I consider her a champion of civil rights, and women's influence on politics.  Her contributions should be celebrated by all Americans, regardless of their political leanings.  As should her amazing, accomplished, and distinguished life.

RIP Ruth Bader Ginsburg, all the best to her family. Definitely an very interesting figure in American politics.

Born 1933, she saw the world change so much.  Even if you don't agree with here, you have to respect her accomplishments.
5356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: September 21, 2020, 01:39:54 PM
[CS:GO] My small picks for today:

PACT - sAw: PACT, 1.93 @ MY BETSLIP
HONORIS - Nemiga: Nemiga, 1.17 @ MY BETSLIP
Keyd - RED Canids: RED Canids -1.5, 1.62 @ MY BETSLIP

First 2 matches are BO1, so be careful.

The 1st  and 3rd sound like a good bet. For the Nemiga bet I find the payout a bit too low for the risk.

What about the ESL Pro League North America final this week? I am thinking about betting on Liquid or EG. Any idea for this one? Thanks
5357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Perfect Money safe to store big money or not ? on: September 21, 2020, 10:24:28 AM
Storing money in an hardware wallet is definitely a good idea, but there is no 100% security put there. A little bit of tail risk is always involved. So if you have all your wealth together in one place (like 1 million USD or more) I would still consider storing it a bank.. The thing with banks is that are part of a country, and the biggest banks are very unlikely to just go bust. There will be some sort of safety from the government to protect its banking sector. Also there are usually depository insurance funds in place. I depends on in which country you want to store your money. But there are more safety nets involved.
5358  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No time to waste - US has to act now to reverse climate change trend on: September 21, 2020, 10:15:48 AM
It's not only on the USA to reverse the climate change. Every country has to participate. Yes some countries can do more like the USA, Europe, China, Russia, India and other countries have less possibilities to reduce CO2 levels. I wish USA would take a leadership role in combating climate change but this seems very unlikely at the moment, especially since corona pandemic became climate change not important anymore.
So if USA is not acting on everyone's interest, the other countries should go ahead and be a good example. With a combined international approach we could try and convince USA to join. If Europe! China and Russia would work more together it would be a start.
5359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: September 21, 2020, 10:05:42 AM
I manged to get myself a few free slot games over the last weeks. I played roughly 20 rounds on a few different slot games, all of them were free games. And I didn't win any of them, not even 5 cents. Which seems crazy, or I am just very unlucky. Normally the site is very legit so I don't know what's going on. Or maybe these free slot games are just a way to get people playing again. Definitely a bit frustrating.
5360  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please reply Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 21, 2020, 09:46:55 AM
Hello Mr. Nakamoto,

I come before you humbly to ask if you could reply to this thread.

This would give the entire community hope that you are still out there, and watching your creation become what you’ve always wanted it to be.

I would be honored if you replied to this post, but seeing as you last logged in Dec. 2010, it’s a long shot.

Thank you for everything you’ve done. Bitcoin has changed my life in ways I can’t even put into words.

Sincerely,

A Bitcoin Believer

@satoshi

I don't think satoshi is checking this forum regularly. He did his work and gave us bitcoins. We must be happy with what we got.

For satoshi to come back we should try a big campaign, where every bitcointalk user would donate $5 and request satoshi to choose the charity to which it will be donated. If everyone would be joining we might get his attention again. I know this would be a long shot and not everyone would support this.
