5341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins be the future of cryptocurrency? on: April 10, 2020, 12:57:29 PM
Stablecoins are good for crypto but I don't think that it is the future of crypto currencies.
They are good for crypto adaptation but for me it is their only use for now for crypto to be accepted as a payment method for some companies and they are good to invest in when the crypto is crashing down.

5345  Economy / Economics / Re: The Corona Pandemic economic guessing game on: April 09, 2020, 05:49:32 AM
Which country's government will be the most affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic, and be the first to go bankrupt, and default?

Italy has the most numbers of infected and i think this may be one of the first to become bankrupt.Although it's difficult to predict if which country will be the first to go bankrupt but i think except for the country with many infected,I also think those country with very low economies, because this pandemic problem has a huge impact to our economy.

Italy had been hit hard on this pandemic. Their mortaility rate is high and it gets higher as day goes by. Even medical professionals are starting to give up on this fight. What made this difficult is there is no other country who can lend a hand since everyone has their own battle to fight. Let's hope that their front liners will stay strong along with their leaders.
5346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I sold my 0.67 BTC!! on: April 09, 2020, 04:52:44 AM
Hello Community! What’s going on? Hope you guys are safe & staying home! Basically, I live in New York (I’m an expatriate indeed) & you guys know the current situation!! We are suffering badly, although I’m not scared of! Last night I sold my loving 0.67 BTC, since I need cash money!
I believe, in near future when the situation will be normal, I’ll buy it again since I have no doubt on the future of BTC & its use case! Please guys, stay home stay safe & don't forget to pray for us.

This is not the time to save all your crypto. In a dire time like this do not hesitate or regret on what you have done. This is an emergency case and we all know how bad the situation is out there. You can always recover your losses, but you cannot replace life so you did a wise decision for you and your family to survive. I hope all of you guys are doing fine.
5347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: April 09, 2020, 01:28:38 AM
If you are the store owner would you sell your bitcoin right away knowing that the price is not profitable for you and you would realize losses compared to selling your products directly in fiat? Of course not. If you are accepting crypto as payment this is common knowledge. Bitcoin is created to be a substitute for fiat since transactions are easier.
5348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For newbies only on: April 09, 2020, 01:00:45 AM
The best thing to do is not to search directly on the playstore but to get the link directly on the website to make sure you will be downloading the correct wallet application. I don't use mobile wallet app since I have lost my phone a year ago. It was difficult retrieving the acces since I have lineked my phone number to my e-mail and verification.
5349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: April 09, 2020, 12:26:19 AM
I think it wouldn't. Though government are warning people about the transmission of virus through fiat, it doesn't necessarily mean that they encourage crypto. There are alternatives such as debit card/credit card, online payment. We should not cross out the number of people who has access to crypto and the recent blood bath which I think would discourage some people to start investing in crypto.
5350  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: April 08, 2020, 10:15:15 PM
All people are affected on this pandemic this includes cryptocurrency investors. Most had sell their crypto to be able to survive since the pandemic had caused the ecomy to fall. This totally affected crypto market as a whole. If the economic effect of the will last for a year,  the crypto market as we expect it to grow when the halving occurs might not take it's course.
5351  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: April 08, 2020, 09:09:41 AM
It's all up to the government to aid those who are in needed, people will have to have faith in the government after the pandemic. This will also be a wake-up call for those people who voted for useless officials. Dueing the pandemic a lot of politicians had disappeared from the eye of public without even aiming to help people as what they have promised before they were elected.
5352  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: April 08, 2020, 07:29:03 AM
How long will it last? What's the antidote for Corona?
The problem is that no one knows the answer. I don't think that the epidemic will last more than 10 weeks. And it will have a disastrous impact on small business.

The virus features a detrimental effect on all types of small and enormous businesses I do not think there's any news within the whole world whether it'll be controlled in 6 months One country after another has got to grow. In China it took quite 6 months to realize control.

There's a lot of suspicion on how China controlled the the Virus in Wuhan. That is why they are suspected creating Corono-virus as a bio weapon. Major cities in China which are miles away from Wuhan such as Beijing and Shanghai was never struck hard by the pandemic, compared to countries thousands of miles away such as Italy and U.S.. Wuhan even built numbers of facilities and hospitals for Covid victims in just a few weeks and it seems they are prepared for it.
5353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In what way can the crypto world help fight against Covid 19? on: April 08, 2020, 06:41:08 AM
Recently, TokenPocket has hosted a WeWearMask event to call on the community's joint effort in the fight against the Corona virus.
https://twitter.com/TokenPocket_TP/status/1246791435103293441
The participants will be prized with a  total of $2,300 and more. I think this is a good move to set up an example of how the crypto world can help to stop the virus. More projects should be doing this as well.

This is a good initiative done by tockenpocket to remind the public to wear mask.  I hope some projects will make a move to spread awareness or even help those who are in need amidst the epidemic. Hoping to see other projects extending their help to the public dueing the calamity.
5354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is fake shit on: April 08, 2020, 05:22:12 AM
As long as there are people who are investing in projects because of money without doing due diligence on reviewing the team and the legitimacy of the project people will use cryptocurrency to scam people. Scanners opt to create new altcoins since they know there are a lot of investors who are greedy and easily attracted in projects promising good returns.
5355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: April 08, 2020, 12:16:46 AM
I miss the old good days where altcoin bounties are really worth it. No extensions, no KYC, no lock time and ready to be traded. ICOs had died because of the number of projects that are scam. That is why most investors are avoiding bew projects. Even thos projects who are legitimate and dedicated to dekiver good services and products are having a hard time gathering funds because of the fear ICO scam had brought.
5356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think news can change the Crypto Market Sentiment very easily? on: April 07, 2020, 11:02:16 PM
News has an effect on the whole market. Any development on cryptocurrency can influence the who market aspect, this also includes FUD which most people buy whenever there are news than a whale had moved their crypto from a wallet to an exchange or vice versa. Cryptocurrency updates, news and articles has a huge impact on the whole market.
5357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current situation on: April 07, 2020, 10:19:08 PM
Stick to the advice invest only the amount you can afford. Although bitcoin is a promising investment, you cannot eliminate the risk of the price falling. The market will eventually grow and recover, but the time span is uncertain. If you are investing a loaned money, the interest will only lessen the amount you can potentially earn. Buy in small chunks and accumulate than to go panic buying using a loan.
5358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and covid-19 : Which is more risky ? on: April 07, 2020, 06:52:13 AM
Well, people can lose lives in coronavirus but at the same time people might lose their money and become hand to mouth because of gambling.

So i would like to know your opinion, whether you think gambling is more dangerous or coronavirus is more dangerous for the people ?

The answer is obvious, what is the difference of mortaility rate of Covid compared to gambling. Covid has no cure yet, gambling addiction is something that is developed upon continuous gambling and being greedy to earn easy money by taking risk in gambling.
5359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 06, 2020, 07:58:23 AM
I can share the current situation here in our country.
One of the famous gambling scenes here is cockfighting. But because of this recent coronavirus outbreak.
The government has a temporary shutdown for all cockfighting.
But still, there are some people even government employees organized a illegal cockfighting which is the only secret for some people what to gamble.
This is really the cause of being a gambling addict, they always find a ways to gamble even they have to obey the law.
~snip~
They are really dumb, one of the positive victims of coronavirus (covid19) was a cockfighting gambler from Davao City I think and he went to a cockfighting stadium in Davao City before he was tested for positive in coronavirus (covid19), and I think he was dead now. And the government of said city already contacting all gamblers went to the stadium. It's extremely dangerous, I am thinking also that gambling can kill you Cheesy, even you will go home with lot of winnings but you are not aware of your health and you may also put the lives of your family at risk.

What you are saying above is becoming a nightmare in that place as 12 of the people who went to that arena had been infected with the corona virus and it could exponentially grew if authorities fails to contact trace everyone that interacted with the infected.

This kind of thing will surely change the landscape of the cockfighting industry as well as to the gamblers or cockfight enthusiasts. Intelligent gamblers won't go anymore to this kind of place as they know already the danger of getting diseases, (not just COVID) in this crowded arena.

I heard this news before and this is not a shocking news. People in our country are hard headed and most gamblers cannot be stopped even if municipalities had carried out orders to stay at home to avoid the spread. People just need to stay home so that the virus can be contained, yet people are not even listening. People will only stop when the situation cannot be contained anymore. The government had to be more strict in making sure that people stays home.

Those mentioned by OP isn't that popular for gambling with cryptocurrencies. We've got more trusted platforms that has got lots and lots of fun packed games as well as races that can be played during this lockdown. However spending a large time on gambling sitting in home is also not good. From my personal view the time we've got due to the lockdown is the one to spend with the family.
Good point, and besides those money that you'll be spending while playing can be use for your emergency needs, this lockdown might take more time
as the cure is not being discover yet, best to spend your time and your money with your family and limit first your engagement with your gambling activities.

As someone also stuck in lockdown, I agree with this. Better if you kept your savings in cash so you have the option of buying outside large supermarkets.

With the prices going higher quickly due to supply issues and plain greed, people would need all the money they have for survival. I wouldn't suggest people gamble at this moment. If you must really buy something other than food and PPEs then try to buy bitcoins before it gets back to $9k.
Good or needs would be the priority now yet we wouldnt know on when this pandemic would end.For now i havent spent
a dime on gambling because ive been saving it for buying up food and other related stuff that would really be needed for my family
to sustain this problem but well not all are poor like me and it isnt bad to play continually since they do have still money to spent.
Each person do have their own status in life when it comes to financial aspect. Most are poor and some are rich.
Online gambling is good but we sure that we only allocate small amount of money because we need to save it especially today because of the pandemic. Many people lose their jobs because of the lockdown, my parents also lost their jobs and it is the reason why I only allocating 20% of income to gambling. Before I allocating 50% of my fund but now it is better if I will save it for me and my family to have money to buy our necessities.

I think only people who has financial capabilities have the ability to gamble as they normally do during the pandemic. Most people even some gamblers must be saving their money for survival dueing this time, which I hope is happening. It is not practical to gamble during this kind of situation, even those who are financial stable are struggling due to limited access to stores and not to mention the limited supplies we have.
