7.30 minutes long block. I m really, really starting to hate Antpool luck.
5362  Economy / Securities / Re: [KRYPTOLOGIKA] Trade silver-backed hash power for the best prices! on: April 22, 2015, 04:56:25 PM
crazyivan, are you invested here? How are the payouts? Are they the same as per ghs as on other platforms, because the price looks like considerably lower... Why is that? If everything is fine here just underpriced ghs I might buy some Wink

Nah, I do not have my share here. I was thinking about it, this is why I keep asking so many questions.
5363  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2015, 04:55:02 PM
0.0004 BTC in last 24 hour with 1.2+ THs, is it just me ? I see no official message and looks like antpool's hashrate is fine for the last 2-3 days

The pool didn't find a single block for 7.30 minutes. Terrible luck, today is one of the worse results ever.
5364  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: April 22, 2015, 12:32:12 PM
I would probably feel really bad cause I failed to buy/mine/acquire more when BTC was 235.  Grin Grin
5365  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many of you signature campaign posters sell your coins once you received it? on: April 22, 2015, 12:19:33 PM
I do not think that amount actually determines the market price. There are only couple hundred of sig campaign users, at best, and the amount we all receive s not sufficient to move the price. No way.

Let me try with +0.26-0.50%.
5367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any demand for a Bitcoin auditing service? on: April 22, 2015, 08:31:56 AM
Yes, definitely. Every single BTC investment service, exchange, cloud, staking wallet, etc. should have their services audited by a reputable company. This is an example of good business practice, it adds to credibilty and transparency of the company which translated into new investments. Stop with that anonymity shit, that brings no good to anyone.

Anonymous services will always be less reputable compared with non-anonymous services when everything else is equal but I don't think anonymity is always a bad thing. BTC-e is an anonymous exchange but they make up for it by providing a great service and not running off with their customers' coins despite having had many opportunities to do so in the past. They were also hacked at one stage but were able to reimburse everyone's funds and have continued to provide a great service since then.

On the other hand, an anonymous exchange can't really be audited as thoroughly as a non-anonymous one but some parts of the audit such as proof of reserves can still be performed regardless of anonymity.

Then there are other types of businesses where being anonymous might even be necessary. Gambling sites usually have anonymous owners, and for good reason too - since governments tend to look down on that sort of stuff. Mixing services might also benefit from having anonymous owners since it means that they can't be tracked down and forced to reveal their customers' identities.

in 99.9% cases, people choose anonymity cause they have something to hide. Either some kind of scam, tax fraud, drugs, etc. I simply do not want to be related to anything like that. If you analyze it a bit more, this relationship between BTC and criminal activities is probably number 1 reason people list for NOT getting into BTC. So, if you are legit and you know this prevents market acceptance, why support anonymity?
5368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 Million people use Bitcoin today according to XAPO's CEO on: April 22, 2015, 08:29:08 AM
if 12 million people are using bitcoin.. then on average people are only investing $263 into bitcoin..

bitcoins in circulation:14,078,100
possible population: 12,000,000
=average person holding: 1.173175btc each
bitcoin price $225
average investment $263.96 per person

just wait until just 1million financial firms invest $10k each.. the price will rocket

Again, I really like that table. 500k people to and we ll have that snowball effect, the price ll keep going up and up.
I think bitcoin will be very expensive when there is "halving". so better prepare funds from now as much  Cool

We need to have price increase well before that. Halving takes place in over a year and we need to have lots of new users by then.
This coin need acceptance and not technicalities to let it grow.
5369  Economy / Securities / Re: [KRYPTOLOGIKA] Trade silver-backed hash power for the best prices! on: April 22, 2015, 06:51:11 AM
I have a question how do you manage to buy silver that you are to ship to investors at the end of the contract? Aren't you supposed to buy equipment with the received money? When equipment is unprofitable you could sell it and send the liquidation money, why bother with that silver Roll Eyes

When the equipment is unprofitable is worth zero and cannot be sold.
To get physical silver you need to possess at least 1 THs as this amount will be converted to 1oz of silver. There are also costs of posting invovled so not all the customers will take physical silver I believe and would prefer to settle in bitcoin at COMEX prices.

We have decreased maintenance costs by 1.13% following free 48hrs mining.

So everything s back online and operational?
5370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will BTC have a devoted/24 hr news channel on American TV??? on: April 22, 2015, 06:49:46 AM
Once we have enough companies building apps which can be commercialized on TV. Somebody need to pay for marketing and make money of it.

BTC s not the best option for that, apps are.
5371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chargeback in Bit[Suspicious link removed]d or bad? on: April 22, 2015, 06:46:15 AM
We need to keep that in mind. Bitcoin itself is very useful but it needs to stay a "stupid" network. Chargebacks will be available with services built on top of it.
If you use cash and give it to someone, you won't get it back by just claiming "heeey that's my money".
Services will come and customers will be able to choose if they want to be "safe" by paying for it.

Yes, this is correct. There needs to be a central authority to support chargebacks. Since BTC does not have it, only 3rd parties building on the top of the chain can do that.

Never heard of this network either but if these numbers are even close to the truth, very nice.

Good work XAPO, let us see when FB ll follow.
5374  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cloudminr.io is a nest of thiefs beware on: April 22, 2015, 06:36:00 AM
Ivan. It is up to you and cloudminr to provide proof of claims. He said he's a miner... I agree with you,he should provide evidence to prove that.

You claim he is scammer or liar or what ever, time to provide some proof. Your just slinging mud with no credibility whatsoever.

Oh, I will get my credibility the moment he goes down. I will also be here to remind you of that.
Cause I do not have no interest in trashing cloudminr.io, what kind of possible benefit could I get from that?
He, on other hand s got every possible interest in scamming people, if he s not legit.

BTW, I did ask him to provide photos and mining address long time ago. Guess, what, he didn't.
5375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Closing the loop - helping retailers not to sell their coins on: April 21, 2015, 08:14:39 PM
All Bitcoin-related companies need to offer salary in bitcoin.  Put up or shut up.

Not only salary, vendors and large manufacturers are the key. Once retailers can replenish their stock by paying their good in BTC, we can hope for less sell pressure and volatility.

We could even have bitcoin-denominated debt once this happens. Right now, banks have a stranglehold over companies. If well-rated companies offer bitcoin bonds, people might be willing to invest.

I guess it all comes down to some form of limited regulation. I think this is the reason why Wall Street s not yet in. Big vendors as well.

Garza & Friends: Additional Emails Detailed

A cache of hundreds of thousands of emails leaked from the office of GAW Miners totalling 5.1 GB in size spanning the time period May 2014 through January 2015 detail the lengths Homero Joshua Garza has gone to in order to maintain his fraudulent business activities.

While Qntra has previously published articles specific to Garza himself, this article will focus on the people in the periphery, their communications with Garza and their eagerness to conduct business with him unwittingly or perhaps even choosing to ignore the obvious red flags in order to turn a nice dollar.

Still waiting on some solid info about authorities doing something. Cannot believe nobody does anything on this issue.
5377  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2 Servers, but what to do?? on: April 21, 2015, 07:58:56 PM
Mining pool s the only option. Do not even consider mining, that hardware s useless for mining, it s too expensive to run it for CPU coins and the rest is not even in the same ballgame.
5378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chargeback in Bitcoin, good or bad? on: April 21, 2015, 07:54:45 PM
I don't think we could modify Bitcoin protocol to enable chargeback. However, we can have a centralized authority who have 51%(+) hash rate of total hash power, pay a small fee and let them do the chargeback. You don't want to run that all day. Wait for x orders for x days and do it.

To OP's question: Not bad but worst.

avoiding central authorities was the whole point of bitcoin to begin with.  So yes i agree that would be the worst idea.

chargebacks by definition, rely on central authorities...why are we even discussing this?

Because avoiding central authorities means attracting thousands of scammers and ponzi operators. What are we going to do about them? Has this industry been designed for them, so they can scam people?
5379  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: April 21, 2015, 07:53:31 PM
Got an email from Havelock with promise to pay more since they have found more btc.  Great news!

I got no such email, although I was invested and I got info about first payment. Maybe you misunderstood something Smiley Can you elaborate on those ''Great news!" Huh

Unbelievable!! I just received first "dividend" from AMHASHCL right to my havelock account (0.00006000BTC/unit) This is the first time I was compensated ever - I was scammed by minershare.net/pbmining.com/hashie.co... so I wasn't expecting that this liquidation fund is real. I feel so stupid now that I believed in cloud mining in general but at same time somehow happy that I didn't recommend this form of mining to my friends/family - I was aware of the risk. I didn't expect that more than half of Bitcoins I ever mined myself will be gone forever though. I'm smarter now - we learn by mistake. Do you guys still believe that some of current cloud mining services will be here 1-2 years from now and won't be "replaced" by new ponzis? Just curious..

I think Hashnest will definitely be there, or there be none... Bit-x looks promising too, they are number two on the list that be here in 1-2 years Wink

Amhash did a lot of damage to cloud mining, I really thought these guys were credible. After them, Hashnest and Bit-x. The rest might be legit or might not.
5380  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 21, 2015, 07:50:09 PM
So I will say it like this, Hashnest is the last good cloudmining out there but I went ahead and sold 4th of S4 today and am out. Why? I figured I could sell at a decent price and if I end up wanting an S4 later I can just buy in at the end of break even days for a lot less.

I think you did it too early. I think BTC ll rebound again and S6 should not be out for at least 2 more months. I could be wrong.

where did you read news about the s6 i have not seen anything that seems reliable, i only found a site that was poorly built and i dont know if is reliable. Please feel free to post link so i may read it thanks

No official news about S6, just speculations so far.
