5361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what fun in GAMBLING? on: June 05, 2016, 08:07:34 AM
the fun of gambling is only in the risk taking part not the losing or even winning although i am not winning denying the fun which is winning. all i am saying is that the most fun in gambling comes from the suspense and the feeling you get when taking a risk with money involved.
5362  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 05, 2016, 08:04:50 AM
If we talk about trading, I wouldn't.. its just too risky. If I do, maybe I'll get greedy and invest more and more, and probably would lose them all.. so no.
Lol do you think that a job in bitcoin just trade ? if I thought trading not right for you? You can use many other ways to get bitcoin dude? there are many people who go to work full time in bitcoin and they can cover all their living expenses ?
and among those not using trade as a main job?

he belongs to the group of people who thinks trading == gambling that is why he said "I'll get greedy ... and lose them all". i would say these people should never consider trading at all because they are just wasting their time and money on something they don't even understand how it works.
5363  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL]New ATH? on: June 05, 2016, 07:58:00 AM
it is all about the time frame.
if we are looking at a short time like a month or two i say the price is only gonna rise to ~$600 but in the longer period like the end of this year it can get to a new ATH and this time it can go even higher than $2000 and stay.
5364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: June 05, 2016, 07:48:11 AM
Trading and gambling have many similarities.

The idea is the same. If you have no idea about what you are trading, then it's gambling. I feel like I know a thing or two about bitcoin but still,  trading bitcoins is on the gambling side for me. That's because i usually can't find the reason about those insta dumps and pumps.

the fact that you and i can't find any reason for the price swings doesn't mean they are random for example you can read this very informative topic to see how things work with the market.
and that is just a small part of the analysis you can make.
5365  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for a PD account! on: June 05, 2016, 07:42:27 AM
the good thing about gambling with bitcoin is that there is a lot of games to play and if you want dice you can find a lot of casinos that have that.
choose another instead of PD if they block you. like crypto-games.net they are also a good and trusted dice site which also accept altcoins.
5366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: June 05, 2016, 07:36:59 AM
I played on sport gamblings, on DirectBet site.

If you want to win on gambling, you need luck, just luck.

Cheers!
Congrats for your big winnings man, well I have a question. Do you always win your bets or you just posted your winnings only? There are many people out there who stating that he has big winning, but in fact his loss is much bigger.

i agree, the total amount in bitcoin (profit - loss) is more important than what you have won even if you have won a couple of bets.

but in sports betting things are a little different because you can actually have a better winning streak than in any other gambling games which are purely luck like dice.
5367  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: June 05, 2016, 07:31:21 AM
pd so much maintenance why?  Roll Eyes

Official statement would be nice to explain but i don't think there is any reason to be panic with this down time, i am quite sure it will be back after this schedule maintenance and i think it is very important to run maintenance time to time to make roll the dice smoother.

yeah, but i see a lot more problem from the time they switched their system and if i am not mistaken they changed their hosting too.
these maintenance mostly suck for those like me who rarely are using PD, because you come back after a while to play and encounter maintenance!
5368  Economy / Speculation / Re: is this the begining of the rally? on: June 05, 2016, 07:28:24 AM
This shouldn't surprise anyone, we knew this was coming. I'm glad the fudders have been put to rest.

there is no rest for the wicked!

you see no FUD because it is a different time, they come out and spread their lies when there is a stable price going on and it is time for testing the bottom resistance.
5369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EU wants to Control the Internet and Destroy Bitcoin on: June 05, 2016, 07:25:26 AM
the last time i heard a funny news like this was US president talking about bitcoin (indirectly) which created a whole lot of meme about the swiss bank in your pocket thing. this one is not even close to it. Cheesy
5370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Egyptian police arrest a man for trading bitcoin on localbitcoin on: June 05, 2016, 07:15:12 AM
just trading bitcoin is not illegal anywhere in the world as far as i know, and so far all the arrests or problems with the law that i have seen was another type of problem like (most times) tax evasion, or money laundering, or scamming people, and other crimes which has nothing to do with bitcoin trading.

There are some countries that have issued bans on using Bitcoin according to Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country

yeah but a lot of them are just having "not regulated" status. there is saying using bitcoin is illegal. and those who are listed as such ("you will get arrested if you use bitcoin" like a couple of the countries) are not a law but a government official is saying this law should be placed if you follow the news. like russia.
5371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: June 05, 2016, 07:06:19 AM
In the overall holding is good and for a long time it can be be better in my eyes because the bitcoin indeed has a future a head that is pretty good.
We still should wait if everything will go like it has been planned and if it will gain more publicity, but if this is the fact the bitcoin is gonna be worth a lot on a long term.

Long term holding for really a long time will just give you a nice output if you holds really a lot of coins. Let's say you able to bought 1 bitcoin for the price of $250+ range last year and let's say the price today is around $550 and you decide to sold it. You just gained $300 in that long period of time. Not really worth it.

That's why I don't see holding too much is profitable if you don't have big bucks to hold.

it is an ok thing to do if you have some money to spare. for example if you have $1000 laying around in your bank account it is so much better to buy bitcoin with it instead and just hold it. bank gives you a very small amount in profit while you can double your money in a long term.
5372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Status of Bitcoin and PayPal? on: June 05, 2016, 07:01:43 AM
it is against their TOS and also if there is a case of fraud for example someone does a charge back you can't do anything because if you tell them i traded bitcoin with paypal and they did a charge back they won't answer or they can even close your account for that.
5373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn bitcoin for underage on: June 05, 2016, 06:58:09 AM
I am a 15 years old boy living in South East Asia region. I am new in bitcoin and is trying to understand it.
I am currently earning some satoshis from faucet. I would like to ask how to earn bitcoin other than faucet and gambling?
I do not need it fast but a stable income. Thanks

Edit:
I can speak & write english, chinese, malay and some Japanese

How about some advice on trading..

best option for you to earn bitcoin online is to offer your service as a translator from the languages you listed here. you can do this in the services board of the forum also on some freelance sites or even on reddit/r/jobs4bitcoin

and as for trading take it slow and learn it with small amount but read a lot about trading to learn it over time.
5374  Economy / Speculation / Re: is this the begining of the rally? on: June 05, 2016, 06:55:01 AM
i am getting into the habit of checking the price the first thing in the morning and seeing $570 this morning made me think about this question.
is this the start of the bitcoin rally?

i personally think the price will stay here until halving and maybe with small rise and falls but the real rise (to $1000 and more) will come after the halving with one month difference. that is more logical based on the supply and demand alone.

what do you think?

A lot of us do that. I check the price of Bitcoin as soon as I wake up too. Smiley
This is a new rally. The tough part is figuring out when to sell.  Smiley

it is always a tough thing to do, especially if you are a greedy person. but you should set a profit amount in your mind and when you reach that number then sell it and don't regret anything.

there are still a lot of resistances to pass.
call it a rally once it breaks 1150!

i didn't call it anything i aksed if it is the beginning of the rally Grin

Yes, I think we are in a rally, but we are already in an advanced phase (but still not near the top). I don't think this actual rally has something to do with the supply and demand after the halving. It's simply HYPE.

For a hype to form, there can be any excuse: the halving is a very good one. Another factor is that we're leaving the depression which brought us the overheated XT/Classic/Core discussion.

That's why I think that the top of this rally will be short after the halving event. Then we'll have some bearish months, but I expect to retake positive sentiment before the end of the year.

while i agree that a big part of rise is hype but you can't deny the massive reduction in creation of new supply
5375  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: June 05, 2016, 06:37:00 AM
I would invest 5btc and I sold 5 BTC
for me I'm going to sell it all while the price of bitcoin is still very high. then hold fiat and waiting for price drops
and then I will buy again bitcoin

that is called trading bitcoin and if you have no experience before entering the market you can't find the low and highs to buy and sell respectively and you will only end up doing the exact opposite and lose money over time until you give up and leave.
5376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before? on: June 05, 2016, 06:34:12 AM
most of the bitcoin users have already lost at least some amount of bitcoin to gambling since it is a big service and it is getting more and more popular. and i am no different because i have lost bitcoin to gambling. but at least i am glad that i have not yet lost anything to scams.

5378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why people love bitcoins? on: June 04, 2016, 05:47:44 AM
there is a lot to like about bitcoin. for example the decentralized feature of bitcoin is awesome and lets us do everything on our own without needing any bank or payment processor who is gonna charge a lot of money.

another thing that i personally like is the price and the fact that it can be used also as an investment and also the whole new area of trading altcoins which i was introduced to after knowing bitcoin is pretty good too.
5379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: June 04, 2016, 05:42:52 AM
Ever go all in  Shocked  and have a positive result?

Yes it happened to me many times when i start betting all-in at sports betting site. I start with 0.002 capital and betting it at basketball at over or under category. Everytime i bet i win until i won over 0.08 btc. Until i bet again that 0.08 and lose suddenly. After that i've never tried betting again or any gambling that i know.

it is a little bit different in sports betting. you can have a very good experience with winning streaks and even no to little loss at times. because it is based on your skills and the information you have about the team you are betting on. but even in sports betting you should be extra careful and withdraw your bitcoin after a profit.
5380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you want to see in Bitcoin casinos? on: June 04, 2016, 05:38:13 AM
most of all i want to see promotional giveaways and maybe even a good faucet so that i can play for free and experience my luck to see if i can double the amount and then withdraw Cheesy

but also i would like to see a good mobile friendly platform, because so far i don't have a good experience when i open them on mobile phones.
