5361  Other / Meta / Re: Remove the ability to self-moderate within the marketplace on: February 09, 2018, 03:30:01 PM
3) Threads posted in the scam accusation section go unseen
If they use the proper format and provide enough evidence, then surely a DT1/2 member will look into those.

4) New users are unaware of the trust system
It's not just the trust system, most don't bother to read the obvious signs (and as result, get tricked/scammed along the way).

I see absolutely no downside/reason to not remove this option with the marketplace.  It has no value if you are trying to legitimately buy/sell something.

What do you guys think?
If you mean for the whole "Marketplace" then it has other uses (ex. Maintaining threads in regards to useless/spam posts), however I do agree that "some sections" within Marketplace shouldn't allow to have self-moderated topics.
5362  Economy / Lending / Re: Gift me one merit on: February 09, 2018, 01:34:36 PM
There is nothing wrong with asking since there is no way to earn merit from the forum.
Wrong. Such things should be given to someone that contributes and posts a high quality content, not the other way around (by asking).

Read this:
I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.
5363  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Blog reviewing Bitcoin Hardware Wallets in-depth (no ads or affiliate links) on: February 09, 2018, 09:02:49 AM
It's a minimalist blog where I write and review bitcoin wallets (so far I reviewed hardware wallets).
So far, I've spent 30 minutes on your blog and I'm already looking forward to see/read more reviews (for other types of wallets).

I would kindly like to ask you for comments regarding content, design and overall site experience.
Content - By quickly going over the content, it appears you've covered everything.
Design - The only downside of this blog. Not sure about the designing capabilities of the theme (genesis) that you're using, but I think more can be done in regards to design.
Overall site experience - Regardless of its simplicity, it's very well organized.
5364  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ⚡️ CryptoHeresy — the Modern Bitcoin Forum on: February 09, 2018, 07:07:50 AM
Overall it looks good (well made) but have few concerns:

1. You mentioned the following:
I will never pay for posting or somehow motivate others to chat. It's a hard way, but I chose quality.
Meaning you're after quality discussions, but the moment you introduce signature campaigns (since you're not ruling it out completely), you'll end up with less quality/more quantity.
Q: Whether CryptoHeresy has any signature campaign?

A: Not yet. Follow the Telegram Channel to get notified.

2. From the FAQ's page:
Quote
I registered in the past but cannot login any more?!
It is possible an administrator has deactivated or deleted your account for some reason. Also, many boards periodically remove users who have not posted for a long time to reduce the size of the database. If this has happened, try registering again and being more involved in discussions.
This doesn't seem right. Legit users (quality users) might/will end up with periods of long inactivity (due to obvious reasons, ex. life...) therefore wiping them from the database is wrong.

- What if they've made tons of quality contributions/posts?
- What if they want to get back to someone that they were privately in contact, through your forum?

Simply deleting them (from the database) and asking them to be more involved, is a bad move.

You said you're after quality, but I'm seeing signs of quantity being the target too.
5365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: some good webpages of advertising to make bitcoins? on: February 08, 2018, 04:30:41 PM
someone know some good advertisers onlines to make bitcoins.
You're a bit unclear but I think this is what you're after: Bitcoin Advertising Networks

Also make sure to read the last few pages of the thread (since the main post is outdated).

Why is there so much panic? Huh
Nothing bad happened yet! MNs are running, PoW mining is on...
Website is down for a few hours, you are panicking already Wink
Actually this is update from Devs (Discord): they have found large investors from Japan and will make an annoucement in a few days. Moreover, they are going to test the coin on some trading platform. Whitepaper update coming soon.
Althow I am not fully confident in this coin as devs dont try to help me to fix my windows wallet, but if a half of what they said is true, price will be up soon.

Hello dev, what is your long term plan. Can you tell us? Prices have gone down and people are very bewildered

I see a huge potential in the Covesting project. The crypto market is growing exponentially, attracting all sorts of investors. Some of them will try trading yet to realise it should be better delegated to professionals. The potential revenue in case of successful platform implementation is enormous allowing to evolve further, grow the community and become the leading platform in the niche. The team has all the resources and knowledge relevant to the project, so I believe in them. I like the look of the MVP - simple and intuitive design. Let's make it happen!

5367  Other / Meta / Re: For the love of all things please make Merit stay in the same window on: February 08, 2018, 06:59:15 AM
A simple jQuery window opening on the same page, or perhaps expanding to a text box where we can enter the amount and press send, without any page refresh needed (just a simple Ajax would do), would do absolute wonders to make giving merit a much easier and funner experience.
"grue" already made one: Enhanced merit UI [1.1]

Only reason I can think for justifying the current system is that admin wanted to ensure that the member is not sending the merit by mistake. Opening on a new page is kind of a confirmation being asked. It is a good practice as merits are too scarce to be lost accidentally.
Regardless of having it to open in a different page or within a box, both of them will require "3 steps".

1. Opening the page or a windows/box
2. Choosing the amount
3. Clicking "Send"

So I doubt someone will accidentally send a merit to someone (using the suggested way).
5368  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: *NEW* Wetalkcoins - No.1 Cryptocurrency Prices & News Aggregator on: February 07, 2018, 06:37:53 PM
Finally, our cryptocurrency prices technology collects data from every exchange and gives the most accurate prices.
May I know the time interval for collecting the updated prices?

Feel free to drop your feedback & help us improve!
1. I like how clicking each coin, brings you to a page that contains a bit of information plus all of the news in regards to that particular coin (well organized), although I noticed few similar articles along the way, so if it's possible have them filtered out, that would be good.
2. While browsing everything in the homepage, it would be better to have the left part of the page for "Cryptocurrency Market Prices" table and the right one for "Latest Cryptocurrency News".
     a. Personally I prefer to have everything shown by batch (with a simple scroll or next button for each), instead of clicking each of the header names that goes to a different page (so everything remains on the main page).
5369  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Wallt.co - Create a simple, shareable page to list all of your wallet addresses on: February 07, 2018, 04:50:07 PM
While trying to create an account, after clicking the "Signup" button, it looked like it only refreshed the page (even though the account was already created), so it would be nice to see a confirmation message regarding this (same thing for adding an address would be nice too).

Would it be possible to have the ability to add "label"? It will be useful for sorting each address from the same coins (depending on their purpose).
5370  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there interest for bitcoin gift cards? on: February 07, 2018, 11:41:55 AM
So you'll be buying like 5~10 cards a year? if you'd estimate, how many other users in your area will do the same?
Yes, 5 - 10 in a year. I guess less than 5 other users, since BTCitcoin isn't that known here.

How would you define small amount ? anything less than 10$? 20$? 50$? 100$? or???
This is something that differs from country to country but based on where I am, anything less than $50 should fall on that category.

I think it's possible to implement both solutions. Also, how would you define a well-known or verified people? I can put up my linkedIn, and contact info if necessary, but since I'm just your everyday Joe, there won't be any person who knows my name.
Further steps beyond those would be needed so someone can verify if you or your company are real or not. A company address that others would be able to verify, can be a good start as well.

Would you consider placing it in your iphone cover maybe Grin it'll be a bit hard to put everything in small size card and leave a space for the design, will have to manage to do it somehow.
Not sure how much what I'm about to say adds to the cost but maybe have it as two to three page cards (like how brochures are, just in smaller sizes).
5371  Other / Meta / Re: Webmining on Bitcointalk 4 Charity on: February 07, 2018, 10:27:19 AM
bump, would love to hear more minds
Personally I'm not against this, as long as it's clearly stated somewhere (regarding the action itself and information of the charity).

Like i said - sure there should be an option to disable.
If you're implying that only a disable option should be there (meaning by default, mining process happens automatically [with the option to disable it]), then I'll be against it.

In order for this to have any significant outcome or rather a donation for the charity, a lot of users should accept and use it (I can't see this happening, therefore it will be a waste of resources).
5372  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Bug - theymos read this on: February 07, 2018, 08:58:42 AM
Even though this isn't a bug (as mentioned by few others), perhaps demerit system should be implemented (not for everyone, only for admins and moderators):
I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though.

This wretch definitely does not deserve 100 merit points if he got busted down a level.
Indeed. A demerit system will do wonders (for such cases)...

Have they fixed it that your alt accounts can not give you a merit point.
Not directly but based on the following line, it will decay in the future:
Merit sales, transfers to aliases, back-and-forth trading, etc. are not much of an issue. All illegitimate merit will decay, and will account for a tiny and very expensive fraction of the total merit economy. It's basically a rounding error; fight it where convenient, but waste no sleep over it.
5373  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Releasing Free Payment Gateway on: February 06, 2018, 09:12:04 AM
Would love some input as to what you guys would like to see in the features range.
- Accepting multiple payment methods (BTCitcoin, Altcoins and some of the popular non-reversible methods)
- Ability to choose different styles/looks (might come handy, depending on the look of each website)

and maybe what shopping cart solutions you guys use so we can look at that.
1. Shifty Button
2. Blockonomics
3. BitPay
5374  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is there any tool to track stollen wallet bitcoins ? on: February 06, 2018, 07:42:23 AM
Well, the truth is that I'm building something similar to learn blockchain coding, I dont want to make more work on it
if it's already exist or if doesn't make interest to others.

If the service is interesting some one telle me, I will provide the url for testing when available
The main issue for such thing is the accuracy of the results. Due to popularity of BTCitcoin mixing services, it has little to no chance of success (unfortunately).

PS: bonus question : I found some website refenrencing famous bitcoin address (scam or donations) do you kown if the is a service just asying hey this bitcoin address is a bittrex address or another exchange or any service/shop accepting bitcoins ?
There's WalletExplorer.
5375  Other / Meta / Re: Account hacked [signed message] on: February 06, 2018, 05:14:20 AM
can admin unlock my account and change the email to the previous one?
Posting it here, won't be enough. Did you send a PM to Cyrus? If not, then follow this thread.

Since account recoveries aren't that much of a priority to "Admins", be prepared to wait for a long time.
5376  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there interest for bitcoin gift cards? on: February 05, 2018, 06:21:52 AM
1- Do you prefer a preset amount for each card? or would you like to charge it up to your liking?
Preset amount (although there will be the issue of "price fluctuations" since the gift card would be pre-made [for a shop]).

2- Would you prefer a complete online order (even if it costs you slight privacy? specially when paying non-crypto like PP) or would you prefer to complete the deal at a shop with cash in hand and no personal info required?
At a shop.

3- If you answered 2 with completing at a shop, would you consider being a local distributor? why? and what would you expect in return?
Honestly "NO". BTCitcoin isn't that known on where I am and it will take a long time before I'll be able to sell everything (location is vital for this, especially when ROI is at stake).

4- Would you plan on buying larger quantities? continuous supply? or you just buy couple cards on special occasions and forget the service for the rest of the year? as this can affect the way to get local distributor.
Few cards for special occasions and whenever the need arises (small amounts for personal use).

5- Would you trust me/us/company to have the private keys in order to make things a bit easier at your end? or would you prefer spending extra couple minutes at your end to complete the deal without me/us/company having any way of touching the money in the card? note that this choice will affect the ability to recover the funds in case the card is lost, at the expense of storing some of your personal info, so this isn't for everyone.
If it's just a small amount (something that I would give as a gift to someone), then the 1st option would be fine but if it's for larger amounts or for my own personal usage, then I'll go with the 2nd option.
Take note: Everyone behind the company should be well known or somehow get verified.

6- Do you have expected shape/size/dimensions for the card? it might end up a bit larger than normal cards, but will make sure the space is well used.
If it fits a normal wallet, that would be nice.
5377  Other / New forum software / Re: [NEW FEATURE] Seeing a post that quoted your post on: February 05, 2018, 04:52:00 AM
I have a new feature proposal for the forum software. I don't think I saw this in the features.
Someone suggested something similar to this (although not exactly the same): Quote indicator

Maybe we can have a new section in the forum header along side "Show new replies to your posts", "Watchlist" called "Show new quotes to your posts".

This feature will display all the posts that quoted your posts and you will be able to reply faster especially in multiple page threads.

What do you think? Would this be helpful for you?
Although it will be nice to have such feature, it might result in users answering the quotes/posts that have been answered by someone else.

How (steps that lead to the above line):

1. Someone quotes a post and replies
2. Then someone else answers that particular post (regarding common cases and etc...)
3. At the end, the other user clicks on the "Show new quotes to your posts" and just replies to each of those, without reading the whole thread (from where he/she left off) and end up repeating someone else's answer.
5378  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there interest for bitcoin gift cards? on: February 04, 2018, 07:07:11 AM
There's another similar project (to an extent) that is trying to achieve this (etcetera). Regardless of that, it will be nice to have some alternatives as well (like your project).

would you guys be interested in buying/using it? and why?
It depends on how "easy" the whole process is (for buying it). If it saves me the hassle to go through an exchange (in order to buy small amounts of BTCitcoin), just so I could send it to someone as a gift and for normal usage, then "YES".

Im trying to find a way to earny 40 to 50$a week with btc
I can premote, do research or etc. Follow share whatever it takes
Apart from the above suggestions, you can use the following platforms (depending on your skills, you'll be able to find some tasks that pay in BTCitcoin):

5380  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Membership rank question for noob? on: February 04, 2018, 04:33:38 AM
I was curious how to know your account status
Your account status (rank) can be found below your name (on the post you made here). Also you can see it when you click the "PROFILE" tab from the upper left corner of the page > On the new page, 5th option from the top = Position: Newbie (this is your rank).

and how to achieve Junior level.
You should read the following threads:

1. FAQ: Everything you need to know about forum 'activity' and ranks
2. Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?)
