5361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 05, 2020, 09:04:28 PM

It's not the first time that Manny fought a bigger and a taller boxer in his boxing career, he fought De la Hoya, and Margarito.
Since you are showing the picture of the fight, you can also check this out.

So we should not be surprise if he will beat GGV in this fight, of course if they will make this a done deal.

another before and after and of a fighter taller than Manny.

I completely agree with that, of course these promoters want money and want money from gate entrance, but the question is, would the government allow that considering they have a very high cases of covid-19, let's just accept that they will only generate income from us people who will watch this game live on TV.

Which $ are you referring to regarding the live gate? If the fight went ahead it would probably take place behind closed doors with no audience present.

Is this fight still going ahead? Just six weeks away, don't see them turning down the $ from a live gate.
5364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 04, 2020, 10:31:53 PM
Though this is really a good thing for I have think that NBA might not yet comeback this year or may have on December 2020.

They can't afford that, their will be a lot of people working under the organization that will struggle because of no income, and this would not gonna help the economy of the US which has been struggling now due to the big number of cases on covid-19.

I believe they will really push NBA to resume, but of course with proper measures since they will not get the approval if they have no safety measures in place just to ensure no transmission of covid-19 is going to happen again.

5368  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will governments do next to manipulate Bitcoin? on: May 31, 2020, 11:29:19 AM
If we believe that the government are interested with bitcoin, then they might think they are manipulating it.
However, we are talking of the government here, it's not only one person, it's a state that is making a decision for bitcoin, so it's not likely that they will do it.

Government give their opinion, and then give their decision, it's just us who are speculating and even mixing their worlds so we can create some FUD or panic, I believe only whales can manipulate the market because they are holding a big portion of the total supply.

I don't use different wallet to store my bitcoin and altcoins.

For altcoins I only use MEW or https://www.myetherwallet.com/ which I believe a secured wallet as long as you keep your keys private.
Also, for bitcoin I am using Electrum Wallet, I think I have been using it for 2 years already.
I have not face a single problem using both wallets.
5370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to escape your problem? on: May 31, 2020, 07:10:58 AM

In terms of finding a place to calm down, IMO, a casino isn't the best place because casinos are too loud, and it induces pressure for you. I can say, even if you aren't the one that is playing, you will feel pressure if a person bet a huge amount of money in a particular game.

For sure people they will like this, casino is loud but this is a place where you can enjoy, have some drink while you are gambling.
Even myself, when I have a problem, I don't want to go to quite places as I would just think my problem on and on, if I like to forget for awhile, I'll choose to go some place where I can divert my attention and that is a casino or going to the bar drinking with my friends.
5371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good news from Ohio - Sports betting will be legal now. on: May 31, 2020, 06:50:49 AM

They should have done this a long time ago, they are like refusing taxes coming from the sportsbook, so now maybe they feel the need to raise their revenue due to the pandemic, so they decided to approve sports betting as their option.
I was wondering about this as well. The effect of the pandemic to their economy could have played a role in their decision.

There is a big market for gambling in this country.
Per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio, they have a total population of 11,689,100 updated in 2019.

So imagine, if at least 500 thousand people are potential gamblers, that would bring big money to the casinos, I'm assuming that gamblers will lose.
5372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good news from Ohio - Sports betting will be legal now. on: May 30, 2020, 11:57:38 PM
The votes are majority, I don't think it can be reverse even if there are people who rejects this law, the big amount of incoming taxes is a big factor I believe, just take a look at Las Vegas where gambling is legal, they are getting a lot from the taxes.
People will not reject, it's already final, they have approve it and gamblers are already celebrating right now.
People will only oppose if it's bad for the majority, like it will destroy the resources, creates unemployment, but it's not, in fact it will help increase the revenue on taxes.

After Ohio many states will follow because of the additional taxes, it's a big revenue for the any state.

Of course, taxes on gambling establishment is high, so that will significantly increase their tax revenue, it's a win-win for them.

But so does the other at the bottom.
They should also pray that Grizzlies will keep on losing.  Grin
Grizzlies  is a better team than the Blazers this season, I don't know what happen to the Blazers, they are a team that always secure a spot in the past, when they have added some players like Whiteside, Ariza, and Melo this team has struggled.  Do you think Melo was not effective when inserted to the line up?
5374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 30, 2020, 01:26:36 PM

If Portland Trail Blazers itself will support Lillard, and other teams on the bottom as well, I might change my view.

Why would Portland Trail Blazers would do that when if they will play, they will generate revenue, it doesn't make sense, the statement was only the opinion of Lillard it did not drag the whole team to it, so I assume that even if Lillard will not play, the team would, they have bench players who are wanting to get more minutes, so for sure they'll play even if all the stars are out.

Don't get me wrong mate. Read my whole reply to that user that leads to that end of my statement.

It clear that Lillard's decision is just for himself to benefit his team and not to act as a represent the other team or players as well, as the user that I quoted like to say.

No offense taken, but how would that benefit his team if he will not play?

They are fighting for the playoff spot and yet he is not going to play because he think their chance is very slim.
Wouldn't it be nice if he  will still continue to support his team despite of their standing now?

it's still a good news though, as a gambler, I really pity those people who hiding when they are gambling because they are doing it illegally.
now, we will see these people getting the freedom to gamble while at the same time this will help the gambling industry to be profitable.

I'm not sure if what OP offers is really legit, this is not happening, IIRC in the past, I have inquired something like this, they said, it's their money and my account but then they want me to use my money to bet and they will jut send the money right after,... so if it wins, I will give them their share, but if I lose, I can't expect they will reimburse my lose, lol.. this could be a possible scam.

SMB goal: 8 PH Cup titles, 8 MVP for June Mar

Quote
SAN Miguel is now the owner of five straight PBA Philippine Cup championships.

So 3 more wins, do you think SMB can do this? And it seems like they really like Fajardo to lead the Filipino cup as the 8 wins will also be equivalent to 8 MVP of Fajardo if they will make it.

If PBA resumes now, and No Fajardo, so probably they are not expecting their team would win.  Roll Eyes

Eight consecutive All-Filipino title is mission impossible for the Beermen. They don't have Fajardo this season and that would be biggest reason, even if they have Fajardo active on the lineup they will still be having a hard time since Fajardo is not getting younger and the players also that compliment him were also getting older. Santos, for one will be on his 40's next year, he is one of the factor on their championship runs.

I'm a believer that no Fajardo no PH title for this coming three years for SMB while the eight MVP's target for Fajardo is ambitious but with a slim possibility though.

It's their big mistake on why they trade C. Stand, he could be a big help for the team to win since this guy is healthier and has a special talent in basketball too, we've seen his contribution in the times when he was still with playing with the SMB, now it's time for Tautua to let his presence felt.

Fajardo is still 30 years old, I think he still can, but on the health and durability, let's see because injuries starting to hit him already.

Depend on my situation, if my problem is money I won't play it but if I face some problem and I need some entertainment also when I have money I'll play it. I put gambling for an entertainment but it doesn't mean I choose it for my escape to all my problem.
Stick with it all the time, it will not add the present problem but it will make you forget about it all the time, however, the only solution is to face and solve it.

Sometime I feel like stupid if I made gambling as a solution to come out from my problem.
Learn from it, you have to mature and be smart that gambling is never a solution to any problem, unless your problem is money and you have the skills to win in gambling at the type of gambling you focus.

Beau Belga is not getting any younger too, he is already 33 years old and I don't see him as a special player with talent, he is good with defense but he can't literally stop centers bigger than him like JMF.

Why stop JMF alone? It's not about stopping those centers 100% but just play defense no matter what. And besides, he's the most defensive player in ROS lineup today so who will I mention aside from him? Cheesy

I am just putting JMF as an example, hehe... but I would disagree with you that he is the most defensive player in the team, I believe it's Gabe Norwood, he is star stopper, and when he guards a player it will minimize the player's output, and Norwood is even good when international games where he is guarding more agile players.
