5361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin Halving! on: November 05, 2019, 06:13:57 PM
I didn't expect Bakkt to be this big actually. I was kind of losing hope that this will be just be of nothing after its launch from the past month due to sudden fall of Bitcoin price from 10k to 7k.
I heard this news already about Starbucks adopting Bitcoin before but I guess paying your coffee with the newly launched app would be pretty nice though.
I wouldn't mind having a stop into my nearby coffee shop to buy Espresso with my own hodled cryptos.
It's giving thrill to our everyday life, what else if more establishment will start embracing the same system and you can use bitcoin to anything around. The BAKKT project will bring more interesting success to bitcoin, aside from being store assets type for investment if apps shows up accepting your daily needs can be purchase using your crypto it will also attract more people to patronize the system. Expect to have more good news incoming months or years to this industry.
As years progresses and so as with adoption then theres no doubt we would really be heading up to that scenario.We might not see a full adoption but at least we are seeing merchants that do consider out on accepting this new way payment system.Adoption is on the move,it might not able to meet up our expectations when it comes to full consideration but at least we are seeing some progress on here.
5362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price would touch $16K soon- By Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao on: November 05, 2019, 05:31:32 PM
In my opinion if you are the CEO of an exchange you really shouldn't post any price predictions. Most of the CEOs of traded companies (besides maybe Elon Musk) never post stuff like "Buy AAPL stock, it will go up 20% soon".

There was also Arthur Hayes which is the owner of Bitmex and he makes predictions also from time to time. And from what I remember he was wrong with most of them. I think in early 2018, he predicted BTC would hit $50K, then he predicted it would hit like $2K, and later after it rallied he had some other prediction that I don't recall.

I think when CEOs of exchanges post this stuff its a conflict of interest in my opinion and it can lead to trouble if their predictions arent true and leads to large losses for their customers who follow those predictions.

exchanges earn more money when more people trade on their platforms. their predictions do two things, first is that they are advertising their "brand" name to the public for free as every shitty news site just copies their guess and posts it on their website that is getting views every day. and second is that if someone listened to their wrong predictions they would be making more trades (first bad decision followed by their multiple attempts at fixing that mistake) and that means more profit!
Predictions cant really be wrong anytime because things can either go both ways.Yes i agree that such public predictions will give out some benefits into their part.
We wont know if these words are just simply being tell publicly without any intentions but it does really had some impact.Im not fan on believing to any guesses or predictions
no matter how popular they are theres no such thing as precise one.
5363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble only with Bitcoin and do you have other favorite alt-coin? on: November 05, 2019, 04:35:01 PM
I rarely use altcoin to gamble because there are only a few sites that accept it. Most gambling sites accept Bitcoin as the main currency used. Using altcoin when only playing on certain games like Dice. What I often play is Sport betting, which I know is currently only able to use Bitcoin.

I would suggest to avoid btc beacuse if you lose coins in gambling than you are also losing huge chance of the returns on your investment as you would not be able to enjoy the bull run that is happening to the coins and will be on losing end .

How about if he win? Should we forget that there is also a chance of winning in gambling just because there is a chance to lose the moment of the bitcoin bull run?
In case he win by using btc then the bull run happen just after he win, means that it would be a double win or even more.
What we need to do in gambling is that we should use the coins that is not for investment purpose. Means that we should have different budget for different activities.
If you think too much about the bull run, then do not even gamble with any coins as most coins has their time for great pump.

Only key that should be think off where investment coins should really be separated to those coins which are intended for gambling purposes where you wouldnt
mind if it would pump its price or not.When we do play we should set aside this things up because this will just only result on confusion or just simply stressing out
yourself because you are hesitating on spending up those coins on gambling.You can use anything but be sure those are extra ones.
5364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins in Jan 2019 vs Nov 2019 on: November 05, 2019, 03:59:47 PM
$BTC = $3700 --> $9200
$ETH = $133 --> $185
$LTC = $31 --> $58
$XRP = .34c --> .29c
$BNB = $5 --> $20
$LINK = .30 --> $2.68
$EOS = $2.56 --> $3.31
$BSV = $89 --> $132
$BCH = $154 --> $294

MCap has 2x'd in USD & $XRP still ended up in the red.
what is your response to XRP?
If you do have just diversified on these pile of coins in the list then you would end up on having profits on 1 year time thats if you do able to held up until this day.
Only 1 do failed up to increase which is XRP.I dont know on whats the actual reason but it isnt just a new thing for a coin to decrease its price.
We might tripled or doubled the entire caps volume but doesnt mean that all coins are doing pretty well.These low prices arent that surprising.
5365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Facebook coin going on: November 05, 2019, 03:09:39 PM
Recently there is lots of bad news are coming for fb coin Libra. In this circumstances what do you think Libra coin is going?

We all know that cryptos are not meant to be regulated in the way that it is being suppressed too much. Bitcoin itself was created because there is too much regulation and manipulation by centralized system. People uses cryptos to make easier transactions. And if the people are not comfortable with the nature of Libra, very few will supoort it. The integration itself is a good idea, but the implementation sounds off to many people.
No it wont sounds off to many people if we do just simply consider on how many people been using up Facebook entirely then recognition of Libra would be immense and
this might be the main reason why government already block it out because they do know the potential or things might happened if this would able to push through.
One reason is that it will open peoples eyes towards cryptocurrency even Libra is a highly centralized one but people curiosity would lead them to its origin.
5366  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Einstein Crypto Exchange Seized by Canadian Securities Regulator on: November 05, 2019, 02:29:39 PM

F**k these licenses and other BS. Bitcoin is not designed for that
Hate it or not we would definitely go to this route.Bitcoin isnt really designed to be regulated but as long government do exist they do really had the power to imply rules and regulations as they like and if you oppose? then expect on what would happen.
5367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 4 on: November 05, 2019, 01:58:17 PM
Hello Guys! Good Day To All of You!
Been so busy this past few days, and I can't hardly think of a new one for this what if, so let's just talk about dreams.

What if you suddenly dreamed of certain things that let's you win the game on that dream, would you get a hold and keep that and wait until it turn out to be true? Or would you just leave it for it is only a dream and it will never happen?

Dont easily believe on things that do picture out into my own dream and also i cant easily remember on whats happening inside of my dream.
Some people do believe into these stuff specially on some lottery games where numbers being dreamed off then they do make use of those numbers
and trying to bet as long as they can because people do believe that it might be a sign for them to hit a jackpot or win but overall ,
dreams doesnt reflect out on what would happen in the reality.
5368  Other / Archival / Re: McAfee Dex? No! on: November 05, 2019, 01:29:13 PM
This thread shows how McAfee loses his trust in the community by his past jobs, Doing some advertisement of fail ICO and collaborating with scammers is one of the most common reasons why did I think he will fail for his current project. Much of it some of the community members are finding some holes on his dex project, Cloning other exchanges and copy and pasting some parts of other exchanges make it worst.  My conclusion is no one will use his dex for the bad review he got from his old project and mostly the current one (his own dex).

That is what McAfee got and it's so shady to trust him up since for sure he will trap those people who will try to trust him since the greed of money is actually floating in his veins, and better for newbies that they should not fall for the fud given by the name since it could turn them down just what like he do to others when he gives bad  reviews for the scam projects from the past.
Serves him right! Its just normal for him to get that kind of treatment or negative view from the community because in all the things he had done.
Its just normal for people not to trust up into those things that he would propose or market out further on.We already learned and lots of investors
already burned out their money because of following on this guy. Mistakes are inevitable though but going for a 2nd time on his suggestion wont
be that possible.
5369  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin freelancing is dead? on: November 05, 2019, 12:56:22 PM
its not dead, the salary is not like last year, and thats why people said that its dead, or bitcoin popularity down, etc. if you searching more and more. you will find the best. and its not give you high salary, but it will give you some token that have big potential in the future

Popularity had decreased when the market suddenly slumped down but it doesnt mean that freelancing is dead.Bitcoin jobs is just part of the industry.
Freelance works does still exist and in demand but blockchain related works had decreased down thats why it isnt really right to generalize it all for it to be dead.
But somehow we can still see few numbers of jobs asked but mostly this will be related to programming/coding, marketing, development etc.
5370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What messenger do you use to chat with your crypto gambling buddies? on: November 04, 2019, 04:28:28 PM
Im surprised that majority using up telegram to chat with their crypto gambling buddies.
As i have selected on using their own site chat which is way more better.
There is no surprise about the popularity of telegram among gamblers because people are getting familiar with telegram for the purpose of communicating each other after lots of telegram campaigns and most bounty campaigns also asking people to join their telegram channel compulsorily. Lots of trading and betting tips providing channels are available in telegram which must be the another reason why people are preferring telegram.

Honestly I'm rarely communicating other gamblers. Even I prefer talking to another gambler, I just use in-site chat facility other than looking for any specialized chatting platform.
I will be the last person to be surprised about the way Telegram is now been used by a lot of gamblers knowing how so many of us were mandated to create telegram account by bounty campaigns, I got my telegram account during those times and I realized along the line that there are a lot of gambling opportunities on Telegram and it’s also a great place to hook up with fellow gamblers.

I enjoy communicating with fellow gamblers and Telegram has really helped greatly to do this, I have successfully joined a lot of educating gambling groups and I have learnt so many helpful gambling tips and the overall advantage is knowing sites that are scam sites because I belong to a group on telegram that keeps us updated on safe and unsafe gambling sites and to a large extent, my loses has been minimized drastically.
Different experiences thats why we do see different inputs and insights towards telegram.I can say basing on what you had said on how telegram do really contribute
and help you out to reduce your losses.I cant deny that there were groups which are really helpful specially if it would be focused on detecting scams
and other helpful things but all will depend on the people whose member on that group.If those are real ones and not bots then it can be considered
but if you have just joined into a group which do had lots of users but doesnt have the same interest or doesnt even know that they are on that group then its a
complete trash place you are into.
5371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 3000+ Cryptocurrency on Coinmarketcap on: November 04, 2019, 03:49:17 PM
Quality over quantity will do good than shitcoins piling up on CMC. Ideally, we don't need those 3000+ shitcoins when in reality only 25% ( assuming ) of it are performing good.
It is useless to talk about quality because that never happens. Those who are usign these sites need to learn how to stop wasting their time on them looking through a pile of shitcoin. I mean having a huge portfolio is good if you can handle it but most of them are shitcoins.

Unless you are some of those "serial entrepreneurs" you would not having a spreedsheet like the scamgods of youtube (you guys know them I am sure) to show off to your viewers.

In another sense if you are truely into investing you are having a portfolio that is diverse and there API to get prices from CMC and other commodity market aggregators would be good. For them its actually helpful.
We would only see rather 5% which are totally doing pretty well into the market.Yeah you are right that its really useless to talk about quality
because as long these coin creators would continue to make their own choice the word "quality" wont really be fully implied.People will just continue
to look at and the worst they do invested out because it had been suggested nor being advertised and the cycle continues.
5372  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trying to buy large volumes of BTC with discount. on: November 04, 2019, 03:10:28 PM
Ive seen this guy checking up his post history that he post on Philippines section trying to buy 1k btc https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5172352.msg52064291#msg52064291

Its said that transaction would be held on Hongkong but its seems no one would take this deal. Hence op might already find someone to deal on since hes off last Oct 2.
5373  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: November 04, 2019, 02:37:52 PM

So how many people on here have actually used cryptocurrency in real life?

I'll start: I haven't used bitcoin (because I consider that savings), but I have used dogecoin to buy gift cards and bitcoincash (BCH) to deposit to a betting website via BitPay.

Anyone else want to share their experiences?
No accurate numbers for this kind of question since theres no way to track on how many people are actually using up their coins but i do hardly believe
that anyone wouldnt spend out their coins since they do know the value that it might have on upcoming years to come or in short they are saving it just
for making profits not totally spending it as it should be.Well we cant blame anybody since we do able to see its total potential for future growths.
5374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: November 04, 2019, 01:55:26 PM
Sport betting is strange when it wants to be, it never a sure fact the impossibility can turn possible.
When booking a bet many bets on what the majority had placed before hand.
What am I saying betting site releases games for betting and gives an option where you see what others has selected and very often it's the one with the lower odd that  people place bet on.

Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.

How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank

People generally go with the majority as it involves less risk and also less reward. But if you know your game right, you can go against the majority. especially in sports like soccer. I remember placing my bet on NewCastle once, as they were underdogs and won 10/1. You should be sure about your strategy , should know the game you are betting on and also some luck to win against the majority

The important thing is that people should be knowing exactly what they are betting on as this will help them to take their own decision rather than just following the majority where they could be wrong at times as well.

In random games, it does not really matter what a gambler is playing or who experienced he is, because the outcomes are always random. No one can really guess it and the crowd just tries to have fun. They are not aware of the results but simple shouting the guesses gives energy to the environment. Some players pay attention to their words, others don't. It is up to them totally.
Random games doesnt really need that crucial thinking and experience and as you said outcomes are always random.Going back into the topic,
betting against favorite do still happens on my side where there are lines or bets which you do consider on choosing up the underdog than on the
heavily favorite but these are only on some situation depending on how a gambler would see or analyze its bets.
5375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the solution about CMC fake volume..? on: November 04, 2019, 01:25:05 PM
My morning starts with visiting CMC (Coin Market Cap). It's not only me, maximum people in this forum do that too i guess. But my thought is how much trust able CMC for trading or knowing a new exchange or coins..? I mean couple of shit exchange sometimes make top in CMC. People will easily confuse that which exchange or coins are safe investment for that kinda fake volume. So my question is...
This is where you do make some verifications before you do tend to jump in into a new or unknown exchange.They might able to top on CMC
but doesnt mean that they do had that solid liquidity which would be considered to be a good exchange and as said where anything can be faked out.
This is why i dont easily trust up CMC unless if do see those casual top tier exchange to had some high volumes then there nothing wrong with it.
Wash trading or faking stats had been known already on the past even big exchangers do have some issues with it.
5376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CRYPTO DOUBLERS SCAM !!! on: November 03, 2019, 05:54:42 PM
If someone claims to have a scheme where you send BTC and receive more BTC back in exchange with no risk, they are a liar.  Due to a varying exchange rate, promising positive BTC returns is impossible for anyone to do.
The wrong thing here is that people do make themselves being blinded by their greed where if we do just think off sensibly about these too good to be true things then
nothing on this world would able to give or grant out that investment returns.

Didnt expect for these doublers do still exist yet this had been long time been known to be 101% scam.Owners of these scam ponzi sites doesnt really stop
as long they can milk out easy money from those greedy newbies out there.
5377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unrealistic bounty allocations on: November 03, 2019, 04:14:49 PM
I personally prefer to follow a bounty project that does have a concept or product that is clearly produced by the that project platform, Because, in my opinion the like that bounty project has more potential for success so that we can get the appropriate income after the bounty is finished, rather than following a bounty project which offers a large allocation of funds and makes no sense at all, I think the allocation of funds are not the main thing that attracts bounty participants to join the project.
Allocation of funds is not measured now by the participants since many campaigns no don't pay so what we need now is the legit ounty that really pays, that's why we will be needing to find projects that already have a working product so they have something to prove already to their investors and can provide more updates as it continues to gain investors.
Its rare to see actually a project that do launch that already had a working produce yet majority or most of them are still on the developing side which
means they are still completely on scratch and this is the hardest part where you wouldnt know if the team will proceed or follow up their roadmap once they
do get that sufficient funding. Finding the legit project sounds too easy but actually hard to be done by anyone and knowing that even scam projects do really hard to
recognized since they do actually look legit ones so its better to be careful on choosing.
5378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: November 03, 2019, 03:28:42 PM
I wouldn't bother about lack of concentration because in luck based games the ability to concentrate adds little to the outcome of the game, but pickpockets is the real disaster of land based casinos. You will hardly become a victim of them in luxury casinos of Vegas and Monte-Carlo, but most places can't afford that level of security, and big winners often become big losers there not because of the game, but because of the pickpockets and various crooks waiting for them in the lobby.
Personally, it’s hard for me to focus on the game if there is a huge crowd behind me. And it does not matter what the crowd is: fans or crooks. This prevents me from making a decision.
Anxiety would be there since you do know that there were lots of people behind watching you.It depends though because if you are just
new to this kind of crowd and as you play further on you would really get used to it for sure.Thats why you do see those other players
who doesnt care too much either theres a crowd or non beside them as long they do play and havent been affected on what they are doing.
5379  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: November 03, 2019, 02:55:26 PM
The difference primarily is that investors know the difference between ASSETS and LIABILITIES. Those you mentioned the car, the condo, the house, investors see those as liabilities and instead of buying more of those they go for income generating ASSETS like real estate, businesses, etc.
That is the main difference between investors and everyone else, when investors take loans they don't do it to buy products and services that will not generate any income, they are taking a loan to try to create a productive activity that will allow them to pay that loan very fast, that way when they finally repay the loan they have a new source of income which is another thing that investors do that the common man doesn't, the common man only has one source of income while the investor has many.
I found that the common man is bit emotional and scared that's why he give more importance to the life and wants to live it by spending the money as he already knows that whatever is coming is always from hands to the mouth.
Whereas the investor is more practical and believes in earning more and more an enjoy later.
Anyways can't say who is doing better may be both are right at there own place.   Roll Eyes

FYI, you cannot make a loan when you are a common man, I mean it depends on your capabilities, the banks would not just give you right away the loan you are asking if they don't see you as a person who could repay it on time. There is a lot of things that should be consider first by the bank before they give a loan to a common man, it is unfair but I see their point, they are just discouraging people to make loans and encouraging them at the same time to work hard to afford to take a loan from a bank.

With the investors (mostly businessman and entrepreneur) they could take a loan anytime without the bank asking.
Sad reality but theres nothing they can do since there would always be a criteria for someone would be eligible on taking a loan.
Ordinary man or doesnt have that financial capacity or even had assets would hardly able to get some loans even on banks even on
a lending corporation due to your lack of capability on repaying them.Thats how it works and this is how the world turns where people
are divided into these two different classes.
5380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: November 03, 2019, 01:54:50 PM
If you chose it because it was the leader you didn't do it the right way. The OP made a poll to get the feelings of the users, not in order to guess which one will win the poll. It's not a game.
Personally I voted for VegasPrize because I think playing at Las Vegas is the dream of all gamblers.

Thank you for voting base on what you believe in, and not base on what others are voting. Yes, VegasPrize.com haa been one of my star gambling domains, and it's quite old too.
I'm not surprised about that, it sounds very well IMHO. But it is only in the third position of the results of the poll... it seems people disagree with that, in fact.
Maybe it’s because there’s a limit in voting and since we are from different countries here and majority wasn’t from US that’s why Las Vegas don’t have the many voters ,but yeah that’s one of the good domain though it doesn’t win at all
When we do talk about the word "vegas" then this do pertains to casinos and you are right not all people would really look for this thing to be  appealing due to
different country location.Not all is aware on this place when it comes to gambling and its just normal for majority would target out a domain name which would
directly describe a certain game like ex. on dicewheel name.You can easily spot out that you would be dealing with a dice game just knowing the name itself.
