5361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 06, 2020, 04:32:24 AM
Trading is a gamble due to the volatility of the market. In day trading you can use different tools and leverages to earn profit. However, in gambling you can only depend in luck, the amount or profit you earn depends on your luck and the amount you are willing to stake on each bet.
5362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 06, 2020, 03:51:55 AM
I think the list says it all. It all depends on gamblers how will they handle their time and money when gambling because no matter what advice or principles they set when gambling, in the end, they will break it. Self-control, discipline, and your will not be driven by greed will save you from being addicted to gambling.
5363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: April 06, 2020, 03:25:43 AM
I play Chess on facebook but have not seen any any platform where you can play p2p with other players. I wish there were platforms that caters different games like pool, poker, chess and other player vs. Player games where you can place bet against other players.
5364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: April 06, 2020, 01:55:10 AM
XRP and Doge for me. Bitcoin is commonly used however, the transaction fee hurts a lot. Gambling platforms usually has alternative currencies so that gamblers have different options. BTC and ETH are commonly used however, due to the current market situation, I don't think it is wise to use them for gambling.
5365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Business That Survives when a Crisis on: April 05, 2020, 09:38:38 PM
There are tons of business' that survived from this crisis. Food business for example wasn't really one of them, it is always said that food business will always thrive no matter what the conditions are, nowadays we see that its not true.

We have a place we rent and there a guy makes foods for companies, ready made food that you just serve to your employees everyday, cheaper than building a whole kitchen and hiring cooks and so forth, cheaper than giving them extra money for food, basically cheapest available option to feed your employees without spending too much money. That dude couldn't pay his rent this month, why?

Because, the people he works with also closed shop and declines to pay as well and doesn't want the food since everyone is at home. Gambling is not like that, online gambling will survive even if there is a nuclear war going on outside because in some parts of the world there will be some safe people who will continue gambling.

Most businesses are strugling right now. Even Food businesses with the lockdown suppliers are not allowed to travel even supermarkets have limited number of items each can buy. This pandemic had hit each countries economy real hard not just the gambling sector, but the whole sector. It all depends on the government's measure how thwy will handle the spread, people's panic, scarcity of supply.
5366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 05, 2020, 11:47:04 AM
I keep track ang make a spreadsheet for my investment and I don't consider gambling as an investment. I only keep track on how much money I have started to gamble with in the beginning of the game just to see how much I lost or win after playing.
5367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: April 05, 2020, 10:09:01 AM
It is either they take this chance as a step on stopping or avoiding gambling, consider home quarantine as a rehab, or they switch to online casinos as an alternative. No one knows how long the pandemic will last and people are forced to stay at home to avoid the spread. This will be difficult but I hope this pandemic will somehow be beneficial to those who are suffering from addiction.

5372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with my crypto assets? on: March 30, 2020, 03:58:23 AM
Even the US economy is crashing. If you are not going to use your money or not needing an emergency fund why would you need to convert it. I think it is too late to cut your losses. Why not buy the dip if you still have excess funds for investments. The market will eventually recover, take this opportunity.
5373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 30, 2020, 03:30:33 AM
No, even during locked down I avoid spending my money on unnecessary things. We don't know how long will this pandemic last or how worst the situation will go. The economy of other countries are starting to fail and the number of people dying each day is increasing.
5374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 29, 2020, 07:50:46 PM
In our country, we are all home-quarantined. Since sports events are canceled, I guess most sports bettors are staying at home to playing online casinos, betting on e-sports or spending their time with their family since they are locked-up. There is not much to do, so it's best to take this time to spend more time with family watch movies and stuff.
5375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: March 29, 2020, 06:48:12 PM
Dice and roullete doesn't have a complicated mechanics such as card games. Sport events are cancelled so, sport betting is not a good option and even if there are events to bet to this requires your knowledge about the sport and the team.  Use platforms that are tested and trusted and also one with a user friendly interface.
5376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 29, 2020, 03:10:23 PM
Cry This is my personal experience: I am a gambler who loves gambling mostly on sports betting and have had series of experiences which some a positive and others negative but for the purpose of this thread; I am going to talk about my negative experience.

Just a few days ago, the government of my country made an announcement about stay at a home policy which made me get boredom. During these few days, I have been involved actively in gambling mainly on virtual sports betting which I have lost beyond my imagination.

At first, I lost a whopping sum of #30,000 (NGN) in a local currency, I played some games and won with some good profits which I used to Carter for the family but went the next day to meet my Waterloo during which I lost the said amount. This has affected me and caused me a sleepless night because the said money wasn't for me but the entire family for upkeep during this trial moment. I am regretting my loss because the remaining members of the family aren't aware of this loss. This has not happened to me before now until this compulsory self quarantine from the government.

To my co-gamblers: these days are tempting, ensure to be more careful with your savings and "never gamble what you can't afford to lose"

That is why gambling too much is not good. Playing with your savings is not ideal, especially during this pandemic. Everyone is struggling and yet some gamblers are still gambling with their funds. And take note that some employees are even forced to stopped working with no pay. During this situation let us not be selfish and use pur money to satisfy our gambling addiction.
5377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: March 29, 2020, 01:17:36 PM
Never dreamed of it. Only few people are successful of making gambling their living. It ia either you make a fortune or you ruin your life if you choose to risk everything in gambling. Aside from financial problem, gambling addiction is a serious problem. A lot of people even without financial capability or a stable job spend most of their time gambling forgetting about their responsibility.
5378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here succeeded a friend to play online gambling now that casino are close on: March 29, 2020, 04:52:24 AM
People are forced to stay home so most realtime casino gamblers will have no choice to temporarily stop gambling or to gamble online. Most cities are in total lock down and some are working from home. I guess the number of online gamblers during the the lockdown period will increase momentarily.
5379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 29, 2020, 12:38:32 AM
It affected the whole gambling industry big time. Traditiona casinos, sport events had closed down temporarily and cancelled. Everything has been affected by the virus businesses, travel, the market almost everything. The number of affected indivudual is increasing in aome countries, let's just hope that this would end sooner than we think and for everything to go back to normal.
5380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 28, 2020, 11:53:54 PM
Almost all the sports have been postponed. There is no matches left for betting on sports. What are gamblers(sports) doing exactly now? I know it is very boring days. Locked down in home, no matches to gamble. Are you switching to other casino?

Casino is the best alternative or e-sports. Most sports event are cancelled due to Coronovirus that is why sports gamblers have no choice to find an alternative game to bet with. We have no choice but to maximize what is availabe since most are locked down in their own home.
