5381  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any good dice site users could invest? on: December 11, 2015, 09:28:21 PM
I know that you can invest in Crypto Games, they have a pretty low minimum deposit and it's profitable.
And you could also check out Moneypot.
5382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much had you lost with bitcoin and before it?Did you won? on: December 11, 2015, 09:25:45 PM
A few years ago I lost access to a wallet with about 0.75 BTC in it.
But I've made a modest profit after that, back in early 2013.
5383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi himself the single individual with the most power to harm Bitcoin? on: December 10, 2015, 01:57:29 PM
Do we even know if these early addresses are still accessible?
I mean, for all we know, a big chunk of them could be lost...
5384  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your favorit Bitcoin gambling site and why? on: December 10, 2015, 01:54:58 PM
Bitcoinvideocasino for their progressive jackpots on slots and roulette.
Crypto-games for gambling with alt-currencies, I like their dice game the most.
5385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 09, 2015, 06:22:49 AM
well when i choose a casino i look at a variety of things first of all the design must be appealing and games have to look pretty then the games must be interesting and the house edge has to be not too big
Yeah, I also try to look for casinos that have a low house edge.
I usually try to stick with casinos that give me about 99% edge
5386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 08, 2015, 08:48:47 PM
Look for the casino that provides you the best value for you time and bitcoin spent.  Great VIP rewards etc, because most casinos offer the same games and have at least decent customer service.  Clearly all the reputable ones also provide good cashout speeds.  Therefore, take a good look at VIP programs and do they offer it across all of their options.  I prefer casinos that have everything because I like variety including poker, sports, casino and dice.

I like the VIP part.
Companies who give loyal customers benefits, normally have honest motives for their business venture.

A good reward system in combination with a long existence, for sure is a plus.
Yeah, I like it when casino's offer some good promotions without any crazy conditions (like having to bet the bonus amount 200 times).
Sometimes it's practically impossible to win anything from those bonuses.
5387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: December 08, 2015, 08:45:30 PM
I find it difficult to explain it to people in a simple way. So I think they are mostly confused about it.
Usually I just give up trying to explain all the technical aspects and say it's magic internet money Cheesy
5388  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 08, 2015, 06:41:37 PM
Official thread of vegascasino https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1251231.0 (not really active but at least yo can add it on the list)
And about bitcoinpenguin, as I know they do not have official thread in this forum
Thanks, I've added the link.

Fast question: is there a site generally considered to have the biggest progressive jackpot? Or it can't be measured because progressive jackpot is constantly shifting?
It would be a pain in the ass to update it for that many sites, I might consider adding just the highest ones.
I know the highest one on Bitcoinvideocasino is 302 BTC, on the Keno game.
5389  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 08, 2015, 05:48:38 PM
Coinichwa (site: https://www.coinichiwa.com & thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=873422.0) has a progressive jackpot on its dice game.
I've added Coinichiwa to the post Smiley
And I have also updated all the listings to include a link to their Bitcointalk thread.

Good job, but it would be better if you make it in a table form so it would be more eye-catching and neat.
Maybe something like this :

Done, I think this is much clearer now, can easily add more columns if needed Smiley
5390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: December 08, 2015, 02:15:12 PM
One of the biggest problem with bitcoin is the confirmation time.

This because nobody can know exactly when the a transaction will be confirmed.

Because we have seen many attacks or 'stress test' to the network which thousands of transaction are not confirmed.
I am thinking transaction time as well as spammers in bitcoin are the biggest problem as I guess. for simple and small also It takes too much of time to get transaction and We didn't any privacy to stop scammers. We need solution for that too.
I really hate Bitcoin sometimes when they're doing those network stress tests.
I would be waiting for hours for a single confirmation, completely messing up any purchases made at that time.
5391  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: December 08, 2015, 02:09:01 PM
im choosing gold
because bitcoin is still easy to get with faucet/mining/trading/signature campaign
and to obtain bitcoin you need internet and computer/mobile phone
but gold, you must mining on earth with supercomputer and other super technology
also the gold in world is not unlimited and the price will rise from now onward
That would not last forever, there could still be massive gold deposits in places that were inaccessible before, like Greenland for example.
Or once companies start mining asteroids for resources, prices will drop once the costs drop.
5392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: December 08, 2015, 02:04:13 PM
I know online poker can be profitable in the long term as long as you're not playing against 'the house', so only if you're playing against other players.
But would this be considered gambling? I think in that case, the term 'game of skill' fits better.

Poker is based on luck and skill, so it technically still is gambling, as it isn't 100% based on skill.
It is based on luck in the short term, but a good player who applies the correct math will make a profit in the long term.
5393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 08, 2015, 12:42:59 PM
I'm personally a big fan of roulette and slots and I look for casinos that allow me to use relatively small bet sizes (around 0.001 BTC).
If there's a progressive jackpot, that's also a big plus for me, especially if they don't require huge bets to be able to win it.

So let me hear what you are looking for in online Bitcoin casino's...

I first check 2 things :

1) are payments instant ?
2) does site has a reputation ?

Then if both, I check the games and then bang on for some money !

Does it mean that you dont care about provably fairness? Smiley IMO, provably fair mechanism is the most important thing to choose and bring your money on a casino.

I think that's about the same as site reputation, which he mentioned.
Most people don't know how to properly check if the site is provably fair, but people who do will usually mention it in the site's thread.

5395  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: December 08, 2015, 12:04:02 PM
I would argue that it's beneficial for Bitcoin if we see a slow but steady price increase.
Too much volatility isn't good, makes people less likely to use Bitcoin as a currency.

You can't do anything to stop them, if you take one down, ten others will pop up.
Just be smart yourself and don't support them.
5398  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of Bitcoin casinos that offer games with a progressive jackpot on: December 08, 2015, 10:57:25 AM
I've added yabtcl.com, they offer multiple lotteries with a progressive jackpot.
I'm also going to add some more information next to each website in the next couple of days.
5399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When choosing an online casino, what do you look for? on: December 08, 2015, 10:51:07 AM
Something that hasn't really been mentioned is whether the site uses Flash or HTML5
These days I tend to avoid flash and look for casino's that support HTML5
5400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you trust your Bitcoins to a Bitcoin Bank with annual 10% interest rate? on: December 07, 2015, 11:56:57 PM
I would not, 10% annual interest rate sound far too sketchy.
How would it even be possible to offer those kinds of rates while keeping your funds safe?

I would assume that you'd need to partake in some pretty risky investments..
