5381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★★ try to build your own ID without worrying about the bounty or the signature c on: January 01, 2020, 09:16:46 PM
Yes, OP needs to improve the quality of his English for effective communication, the forum has helped many users on that and with s little effort OP can be one among the long list.

More importantly for OP to understand is that it's better advising others on what to do, to become good forum members when you have achieved something for yourself on the forum. When you have contributed to the forum in one way or the other and you try to educate others, it's appreciated, but when you have not, you wouldn't be taken seriously.
5382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Rank Up on: January 01, 2020, 09:43:06 AM
Talk about The-devil Grin
You're already ripe for the member rank, you're just held back now by the required activities, so it's just a matter of time before you achieve that also, and with the good speed at which you're moving on the forum, you'll become a full member soon enough.

Congratulations, and do not slow down on your efforts, do not get complacent,do not rest on your laurels, just keep doing what you're doing right now and even more.
5383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Welcome to 2020, Lets set the goals to achieve this year. on: January 01, 2020, 06:51:14 AM
As we go about writing out our goals, let us also not forget that they wouldn't be achieved if you do not work for it, it's not about declaring them, it's about doing so and putting something close to a hundred percent effort to make sure that they all come to fruition at the end of the year, or maybe fee months to the end.
my 2020 goals
1) Firstly on real life matters, I'm in my final year in the university, so I hope to successfully graduate this year, and also complete my research project work, which I made numerous references to the bitcoin/blockchain technology
2) I'll also hope to rank up to senior member, and maybe hero member before the year runs out
3) I will definitely take few steps into day trading, I'm somewhat a hundred percent hodler, I'll try out other options, wisely though.
4) Lastly, I just want to enjoy another 365 days on bitcointalk forum, a really wonderful place to be in.
5384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system on: January 01, 2020, 06:09:23 AM
You have any ideas?
I'm not really good in creating a website(though I'll make enquiries)but I can also help in other ways. How about starting a new thread, you could probably get a forum user who can get this problem solved, don't you think.
5385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system on: December 31, 2019, 11:01:48 PM
I have been thinking for a while that it would be fun, and possibly even productively educational, to create a big online test/quiz about all of the various systems, etiquette, and history of Bitcointalk.
It will indeed be fun, and it will be a nice test on who really has in depth knowledge of some of the policies used in and around the forum, and also it would trigger users to find out more than they already know about the history of the forum.
I'm sure there will be a lot of high ranked users that'll be willing to assist you in this, coming up with possible questions is one way they can be of help, giving out merits to users who performed excellently is another way, etc.
especially if many users would be interested in submitting questions/answers multiple choice style to get a wide range of questions..
I'm sure they will, it all sounds interesting, so why not. Happy new year to you mate.
5386  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM on: December 31, 2019, 06:10:14 PM
Op is maybe getting too excited about the next halving, you must understand that things may not also go quite as smooth as you're envisioning it, if you're investing, you must still be wise enough as to prepare for both sides of the coin: if it's a profit or a loss.

I wouldn't be holding forever, and I hope no one holds forever, we all should have an opportunity to have to make some profits from our investments and use them for our daily benefits at least when we're still alive  Grin. Happy new year to everyone by the way.
5387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 31, 2019, 08:49:23 AM
Abraham deserves the credit here.
He deserves credit not just for that goal, but for his contributions to Chelsea this season, that's his 13th epl goal of the season if i am not mistaken, so many didn't even expect him to hit double figure let alone score that much in just the first half of the season. At the start of this season Giroud probably thought he'll be Chelsea's main man upfront, but Tammy's form is doing well to keep him on the bench, I would not be surprised if Giroud leaves this January.
After losing to Chelsea this week Arsenal will face their heavy team this week with Manchester United getting hit even more for Arsenal.
Arteta is having a tough run of fixtures, it'd have been better for him facing weaker teams at least in his fist few games. Losing to Manchester United would leave him with 1 point out of a possible nine, that'll be a really bad start for him, he needs to do business in the transfer market starting next month.
5388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit Giveaway]Provide A Link Of Your Post That You Think It Deserves A Merit! on: December 31, 2019, 07:31:22 AM
Thanks, buddy. Reward received. By the way, I am interested to provide Merit giveaway as well...
Merit giveaways are good and AFAIK aren't frowned at, but for you to start a giveaway, you need to be a user with quite a lot of smerits or best a merit source, you've been doing very well lately on the forum I must say, and it's great. You've earned 55 merits, that should give you about 27 smerits to give out, but you've sent out about 13 in the last 120 days(which is really good), that leaves you with less than 15 smerits, I'll advice that before you start a merit giveaway, make sure to have at least sufficient amount of smerits, it'll encourage many users to participate.

@Nakamura12, I made this topic few days back: Possible red tag offences if you aren't out of smerits, you can review it.
5389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for partner starting bitcoin farm on: December 31, 2019, 06:29:52 AM
OP you need to be careful, if you really have that amount and want to start a company as you claim, you wouldn't want just anyone to pm you on it, because for sure more than half the people you'll receive pm's from will be scammers.
Also users should be careful when someone comes up with this kind of story, majority of the times, they turn out to be the scammers themselves.

If you want to start a company or whatever, why dont you talk to a lawyer, or maybe a business owner, family members etc, not any random person on this forum you don't even know the part of the world they are in
5390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still a people's currency? on: December 30, 2019, 07:01:38 PM
It also seems that Bitcoin is being collected by the rich, or at least those with spare cash to build an investment portfolio. All this moves it away from the people for daily use.
I get your point, but its not necessarily drifting into the hands of the rich, every and anyone who earns something in real life, no matter how little can have an investment portfolio, for sure some portfolios are hell fatter than others, and some will just grow out of satoshi's till its something reasonable, but the honest fact still remains that anyone can benefit from it, it's just a matter of patience, and starting, no matter how small the start seems at the beginning.
5391  Other / Meta / Re: Reducing (removing) airdropped merits for those who didn't earn 1 single merit on: December 30, 2019, 05:09:26 PM
I intended to use them in the Romanian board, in a merit giveaway topic.
I don't quite fancy hoarding smerits to distribute them to a particular board via a giveaway(do not take my word for it, you can do what you wish with your Smerits), but for the love of God if everyone hoarded their smerits and saved them for giveaways on some boards then you wouldn't even have any smerits for your own giveaway on the Romanian board. 5392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 30, 2019, 04:52:08 PM
I believe that Haaland fits more the German football.
However, I don't think that it was wise from himself to turn down proposals from Juventus and United in order to join Borrussia.
In terms of club pedigree or which club is bigger, then surely juventus and Manchester United are surely the bigger teams and should sign Haaland ahead of Dortmund, but for such a young player, playing time should be what matters most and imo he'll get that more in Dortmund, than in juve or united.

This isn't like his final bus stop, this is just a phase in his development as a player, Manchester United is more like a team in crisis, so it's best to stay away from them right now, if he can perform at a top level in Bourussia Dortmund for some seasons then he can probably move to a bigger team for a bigger amount.
5393  Other / Meta / Re: This is my story in 2019, what is your story ? on: December 30, 2019, 03:21:14 PM
This is my first full year on the forum(jan-dec), of course I joined in September of 2018, now I'm a full member this year and I look forward to what next year should bring for me, hopefully rank to snr member and on, but the rank up is not even the most important achievement this year, it's the self development and the person knowledge gained, if I was somewhere else other than this forum, I doubt I would acquire them the way I did here. I can't call myself a day trader, I'm still learning how to do that, so this year on the basis of trading, i increased my btc portfolio and I'm still hodling it.
Happy new year to everyone here.
5394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 30, 2019, 09:49:16 AM
<...>...
It's not just 13 points, it's 13 points with a game in hand for Liverpool, that's a possibility of a 16 point gap, now to be honest with ourselves, that's an irrecoverable lead. Liverpool will have to lose all their players to injury, probably play some games with the academy boys, lose klopp to flu, Alisson to a broken arm, then maybe, just maybe they can lose the league or they just may not even.

If anyone hasn't come to grasp with the Liverpool dominance, the quicker they do, the better, they are not just that far away from the other teams in points, they are also playing far much better than their fellow title contenders and if you look at things now, it's City and Leicester who look likely to drop points and fall further behind not even Liverpool.
5395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manuel Pellegrini Sacked After West Ham Loss. on: December 28, 2019, 10:58:35 PM
West Ham United can confirm that Manuel Pellegrini has left the Club with immediate effect.
I feel sorry for the former Manchester City coach, losing a job at this time in the season is such a hard one to take and with all the promise his signing brought, it now seems so much like a failed move to start with. But I completely support West Ham's decision, they are 17th on the table, just a point above the drop zone and surely there is need for a change, starting with the coach is the ideal thing to do this days.

I wish Manuel luck, and do hope he gets another team quickly, that's how many coaches sacked in the epl this season already? The league is so so demanding.
5396  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New experience about posting behaviour on: December 28, 2019, 06:34:28 PM
It doesn't matter how many posts a user makes per week, some users due to time or maybe knowledge post more than others and it's fine, the major concern should be the quality of the posts, if making more posts will lead to shit posting, then limit yourself to a reasonable number.

There is a campaign willing to pay users for over 50 posts, but many on the campaign make less than even half of that(50). This other campaigns you're talking about, will only pay if users post up to 25 posts, and so many users wouldn't want to post that much, but then they just have to. So is anyone to blame here?
5397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 28, 2019, 06:11:08 PM
Today will be perfect if Norwich and West Ham lose  Cheesy because these two teams are Watford's competitors in the standings
As things stand now, it's not actually going your way, Tottenham are currently trailing by one goal to nil, Vrancic's goal is the difference between the two teams with over 10 minutes to play left in the first half. West Ham and Leicester is still a goaless draw, and I think the first half will end that way with what I'm seeing.

Tottenham seem to always go behind first and then come up with a winner later in the match, we'll have to see if they conjur up that same spirit and come from behind to win this one. With city failing to capitalize yesterday and Leicester still second, they'll want to win this game and go four points clear of city who play Sheffield united tomorrow, for now West Ham have other ideas, let's see who takes the lead first.

Edit: it's West Ham 1, Leicester City 1. Kelechi iheanacho made it one nil to Leicester City, but Fornals equalizer on the stroke of half time leveled things up.
5398  Other / Meta / Re: What is my lucky number? Legendary rank on: December 28, 2019, 06:56:26 AM
I still don't know what's the benefit of having legendary rank?
It's beneficial only for users who have a goal to achieve on the forum, getting to legendary takes a lot of effort and hardwork. It's satisfying alone to know you put in work and got there, earning one thousand merits and surpassing the required activities is a good feat anyone sensible should definitely be proud of.
5399  Other / Meta / Re: What effect would this forum vanishing have on your life? on: December 28, 2019, 06:34:41 AM
or would you simply sigh and keep on trucking elsewhere unimpeded?
Only if everyone of us is shipped into a different place(forum), different name(maybe "neo bitcointalk" Grin)but the same damn individuals, same drama, same system, then I can say I'll not be distraught, because what makes the forum what it is today is each and everyone of you guys.

I spend practically all my free time here and even steal into time meant for other things to stay on the forum, if the forum were to be gone, I'll probably find something else to task my mind with, but the odds are high it wouldn't be something as amazing as this forum...
Can we stop thinking about this, it makes my stomach hurt... Angry
5400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Possible red tag offences on: December 27, 2019, 09:47:09 AM
Do not user multiple account in the forum: hundreds if not thousands of accounts has been banned
No user has been banned on the forum because that had multiple accounts, you are allowed to do so, but you can be tagged if you enroll more than one account in the same bounty, that will get your account red tagged, not banned.
Ofcourse there are exceptions but you have to be a very recognised member of the forum like what LoyceV did, he announced his Alt from the beginning and specified a reason why he needed the alt so that he could stay in contact with his mobile device or login in untrusted locations.
You must not be a recognised or reputable member of the forum to have an alt account, even if you're a newbie who just created an account today, you're allowed to have alt accounts, and it's entirely your decision to make your alt accounts public, you can decide to keep it to yourself or the reason why you created it to yourself, it doesn't matter.
Do not abuse the trust system or cycle merits:
On abuse of the trust system, users should ensure they read LoyceV's thread I linked in the op, it contains all the details for proper understanding of correct use of the system.
On merits abuse, it's hard to ascertain when merits is being abused by a user(the issue being subjective)and theymos advices that unless it's proven that the merits were sold or sent between alts, users should not be tagged.
